I need some help identifying these characters. Do these two look familiar? My family used to have this weird art book that I think I mistook as a children's book and these were the two main characters. I think their names were John and Yoko but I can't be sure. here's some details about the book of that helps.

I haven't seen this circulating here on Tumblr, so I decided to make my own post.

last saturday, in Porto, there was a pride parade going down the street and this old man was standing there, by his front door, waving the portuguese flag. most people on the parade probably thought the same: old person waving the national flag? he's probably protesting against the parade, he's a nationalist of some sort.

then the old man called for that person to come near him. the whole parade stopped. everyone just.. stopped moving. they didn't know what to expect, and most expected the worst. and that person decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and approached the old man. and then... they traded flags, he hugged the person and then he waved the pride flag happily. everyone cheered him.

such a wholesome moment. 🥹❤️🌈

Magic weapons

Im sorry im so bad at uploading things to tumblr.... Ive been procrastinating this for a whole week for no good reason!

Below is a google drive with literally everything Ive created for this project

The designs and color palettes are based on my own interpretations of the aspects and their classes. The rage aspect changed the most since I believe their powers are based upon all emotions and not JUST rage. So their color palette is meant to represent overwhelming emotions with two opposing colors that are very bright.

Oh also, these are 100% free to use and change for whatever you want for any reason at all! I don't care!

I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say

Timeskipped Sidon, the hydro himbo 🌊

I did some research for Timeskip 2 as I was unsure if he'd be gigantic like King Dorephan (kind of like how some animals get huge when they become alpha/queen). In the end, there's no definite answer so my interpretation is that Sidon gets larger as a shark, but not exponentially so as a whale like Dorephan. If I'm wrong, oh well I tried. 😅

Classpecting: Classes

This took a while, but here are my (brief) thoughts on each Class. For this post I decided to outline the personal quests for the Classes, they’re pretty barebones but I hope you get the gist! Also, I paired up Witch with Sylph and Maid with Heir, I won’t explain why here but I promise it makes sense!

Creation/Healing vs Destruction 

Witch:

Witches want to make things better, and they know exactly how to do it! …or maybe not. Witches start off very confident in their actions and beliefs until they reach a point where they have to confront contradictory evidence. Their challenge is to accept that their way of fixing things may not be the best and to adapt their ways to actually accomplish their goals.

Sylph:

A Sylph will, at first, find themselves filling a necessary role that may often go overlooked. They may feel very passionate about this role and its importance, despite what others think. However, they may come to the realization that how they’ve been going about their role was all wrong, and maybe what they were doing was never actually helping in the first place, just keeping up the status quo. From there their challenge is to fix their role to get what they want done done.

Prince:

A Prince will start off vehemently rejecting their Aspect, even if they hold an intense interest in it. As such, it would look as if they were a player of the opposite Aspect. This rejection can be caused by many things, such as insecurity, confusion, societal pressure, etc. A Prince’s challenge would be to accept themselves and their Aspect, fighting with it instead of against it.

Bard:

Bards reject their Aspect as well, but they do so more through avoidance due to fear. In this avoidance they cling to the opposite Aspect for reassurance, even while it may be destroying a very important part of their lives. Soon they will reach a point where they can’t avoid whatever it is they’re avoiding, whether through the loss of what they’re using to hide or some kind of intervention. The Bard’s challenge to confront the part of themselves and their Aspect they fear and use it to their advantage.

Becoming vs Knowing

Maid:

In the beginning, a typical Maid might feel as though they are stuck on a set path. Their circumstances may be out of their control or their abilities are being used in a way that makes them unhappy. Eventually they will reach a breaking point, lashing out and rejecting everything they were being used for. A Maid’s challenge is to reclaim their Aspect and use it in a way that finally benefits them.

Heir:

Like a Maid, Heirs are extremely influenced by their Aspect. They may not question at all why they think the way they do or act the way they do, content to be what they’re told to be. Of course, this gets them into trouble, at which point their challenge is to recognize how they are being influenced and how to use that influence to their advantage.

Mage:

A Mage is very familiar with their Aspect right from the beginning, usually from ongoing negative experience. As such they may feel resigned to their life as it is and only ever see their Aspect in a negative light. They may also feel that their knowledge or experience isn’t worth very much, since it isn’t very helpful. But there will come a time when it is extremely useful and they will have to get to know the positive parts of their Aspect to continue to grow.

Seer:

Seers begin very self assured in themselves and their knowledge. They like to believe that they have a strong grasp on their Aspect and rarely question this. However, something may come along that breaks their confidence, that makes them question everything they thought they knew. From here they must find a way to resist falling into despair and learn how to trust themselves and their knowledge again.

Stealing vs Protection

Thief:

Thieves are ambitious and confident people, they get what they want and they feel justified in doing so. They aren’t bad people, they just become so focused on what they want that they may end up hurting the people around them. The challenge for a Thief is to realize how they can hurt people and the importance of letting something go. After all, not all ends justify the means.

Rogue:

At their core, Rogues like to do things for the benefit of the people around them. They always give what they can, but it never feels like enough. They may try to put up a front to hide this insecurity but they feel it all the same. The challenge of the Rogue is to help others without neglecting themselves. A big part of that is knowing their own limits and gaining the ability to say no.

Knight:

Knights can be characterized by the abundance and skill they have with their aspect while also holding a deep insecurity about their prowess. They typically hide this insecurity behind a mask, by emphasizing a certain part of their personality or portraying a type of character. After what they consider to be a major failure they may give up anything to do with their Aspect. Their challenge then is to recognize their skills, take off their mask, and stop being so hard on themselves.

Page:

Pages are very confident in their mastery of their Aspect! They have no doubts about this, how could they, considering how devoted they are to their own understanding of it? But, what if they’re wrong? What if everything they’ve based their life and goals on was a complete misunderstanding of the entire concept? That would be pretty upsetting! After learning this truth, a Page’s goal is to reflect on their Aspect and how it interacts with their life. From there the Page will be able to fully wield their Aspect with true mastery!

The Rogue of Light

This is one that I can relate to.

Rogue - passive stealing class, one who steals aspect, or steals through aspect for others.

Light - control of light, and luckiness.

The Rogue of Light is one who steals Light, or steals through Light for others.

The opposite of a Rogue of Light is a Page of Void.

Buckle in, boys.

The Rogue of Light is essentially the classpect of rambling. They are all about learning information and stealing it. The Rogue of Light is literally full of random and useless information that they really want to share.

The Rogue of Light steals information from a variety of sources. Their memory might be shit, but they are fantastic at remembering various things that their brain happens to latch onto. For instance, something as trivial as guard rails or road safety might be something that they latch onto.

This is a classpect that someone might call "neurodivergent-coded" because of how it works. It's a setup for ridiculous folly like that. They're so normal.

Rogues start out perceiving that they don't have much of their aspect. For a Rogue of Light, this basically means that they think they're stupid. They aren't. There's a difference between being stupid and being a dumbass.

The Rogue of Light always assumes the worst of their knowledge. They fear being wrong, so they don't do anything about it. They're not all about flashiness like a Thief, they just prefer to do things in the background, which mirrors Void.

The Rogue of Light struggles with accepting that they can be smart too. They go to quite ridiculous lengths to assure the people around them that no, they're not as smart as they are.

As one of my English teachers once put it, a "delusion of commonness."

They cannot see what's in front of them, and what's in front of them is that they are smart. The people surrounding a Rogue of Light know that the Rogue is very, very smart. Even admirable how much a Rogue of Light knows about certain topics.

The Rogue of Light is the type of person to get REALLY into a certain type of media, and then not shut up about it. Ever.

God tier outfits are just college pajamas that you wear to your 7:30 AM

My dad and I once had a disagreement over him using the adage "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

I said, "That's just not true. Sometimes what doesn't kill you leaves you brittle and injured or traumatized."

He stopped and thought about that for a while. He came back later, and said, "It's like wood glue."

He pointed to my bookshelf, which he helped me salvage a while ago. He said, "Do you remember how I explained that, once we used the wood glue on them, the shelves would actually be stronger than they were before they broke?"

I did.

"But before we used the wood glue, those shelves were broken. They couldn't hold up shit. If you had put books on them, they would have collapsed. And that wood glue had to set awhile. If we put anything on them too early, they would have collapsed just the same as if we'd never fixed them at all. You've got to give these things time to set."

It sounded like a pretty good metaphor to me, but one thing I did pick up on was that whatever broke those shelves, that's not the thing that made them stronger. That just broke them. It was being fixed that made them stronger. It was the glue.

So my dad and I agreed, what doesn't kill you doesn't actually make you stronger, but healing does. And if you feel like healing hasn't made you stronger than you were before, you're probably not done healing. You've got to give these things time to set.

d10 fantasy dresses/fancy outfits

The bodice is made of puffy clouds, with off shoulder sleeves. The skirt is a rain shower, constantly dripping down but disappearing mid calf/before it hits the ground

At first look this dress seems likes it’s made of impossibly dark velvet, however if you watch it for a while you will see faint stars, comets, and other astronomical phenomena pass over it. Tight along the body, with a high neck that curls out just below the chin and long pointed sleeves. The skirt is tight until the knees, where it flares out to the ground, with a slight train in the back.

This dress is made up of gently draped soft ferns, grasses, and moss. It smells of wildflowers and while wearing it you will always have a clouds of butterflies hovering around.

This dress seems by far the most simple, a long, silvery, slinky gown; however, if you press your palms together behind you back then flare them out and up, moth wings will appear and you will be able to fly for short periods.

This cloak is a myriad of colours, made of ever shifting beetles. The colours change as light hits it differently (always green, gold, sometimes blue, and a few hints of pink, purple and orange) and as the beetles change positions. At the end of the night (or for spectacle’s sake) you can clasp you hands in front of your chest and the beetles will all fly into the air before bursting like tiny magical fireworks. Underneath is a simple white silken slip dress with green beetles embroidered along the bottom edge. (No beetles were harmed in the making of this dress, they were all magically made)

An embroidered velvet gown, the panels of the skirt each depicting a different stained glass scene. They change as the story plays out.

A shirt and pants combo made of flexible bronzed metal. The back is an intricate mess of gears and wires, and there are hinges at each of your joints that clicks and hisses as you move.

A multi-hued wrap dress, with wizard sleeves and a v-neck. As the skirt flares out it changes colours, shifting like a sunset, changing faster the quicker you spin. Along with it are a pair of bronze high heeled boots. If you drag the toe along the ground while spinning they will kick up a spray of sparks.

A form fitting jumpsuit made of a light silvery metal that glows a pale light when in darkness. Overtop is a see through iridescent skirt that looks like it was made of spider webs

A prismatic dress with an a-line high-low skirt and a stiff high v neck collar. Best worn when there are magical lights as it will scintillate and cause rainbows to appear around you.
