Honesty Time π
I have not had the motivation or energy to do much since my break started. Iβve done a good amount of cleaning around my room and the house, but that feels like all Iβve been doing lately. I keep making these goals for myself o get out of the house and be active and productive and I had hope that Iβd stay consistent this week but all Iβve done is rot in bed and do close to nothing. I feel like I have no motivation to leave my house or workout or do anything. If I could drive, maybe it would be a different story but I donβt like feeling like this. I have goals to achieve and Iβve been doing close to nothing to actually achieve them.
Iβm trying to find ways to motivate myself either internally or externally but itβs hard. My only goal for today is to start taking my health meds and supplements again and take a walk outside. I feel like achieving that would be a good start. I donβt know what the purpose of this mini vent was but if anything, could someone recommend me some tips or advice to stay motivated or find motivation to start doing things again?
I thought my challenge would be enough but all Iβve even doing is feeling guilty for my lack of doing things, if that makes sense. Today will be different. Today I will do something, anything, to get myself going in the right direction again. I know itβs the little things that count, so Iβm going to remind myself that even the smallest step forward is a step in the right direction.
also, could anyone recommend me some good it girl podcasts or decent Ted talks, or just media and entertainment that would be useful to my life? Health, fitness, nutrition, productivity content. I want to start nourishing my brain without having to stare at as screen too much.

To Do Today 9/28/24
I was supposed to work a long double shift today at my normal job and then a kinda side job task that involves talking to a ton of people and being out late at night. I've decided I'm going to tell my bosses I can't do it, because the anxiety I've felt about doing it has made me thrown up already π
so here's the stuff I am going to do today:
pre lab 24 chemistry
pre lab 25 chemistry
chemistry lecture quiz
catch up on chem lecture notes
catch up on psyc lecture notes
catch up on accounting lecture notes
complete other intro to business assignments
study japanese
study for TEAS exam
It sounds like a lot, but honestly, it should not take me all night to do all these things so I'll be fine, as long as I get then done!
see you in the update later, lovelies π©·
can anyone recommend a good textbook for learning Spanish? I really like studying using textbooks and I have two from when I took Spanish classes but they are the most unhelpful textbooks ever and I absolutely despise using them unless I have no other choice.
preferably Iβd like a textbook that focuses on grammar as vocabulary is pretty easy for me to pick up given how widely Spanish is spoken in my city.
Iβm also open to any music, song, movie, book, tv show, and any other spanish language learning material! I want to be able to speak spanish with some of the people I work with and I think itβs a great and beautiful language for me to learn overall, and definitely will be the most helpful!
*I am still going to self study Japanese during my six week break from classes, but I am going to try to divide my time between spanish and Japanese with a stronger focus on spanish! May even start a six week language challenge during my break to keep me motivated and accountable!
so if you guys have any recommendations for someone learning spanish (and even Japanese) , please comment/reblog this!
thanks in advance <3

Update Check In - October 7th thru October 10th, 2023 π
I am officially back home from seeing my boyfriend and now I am big sad because I already miss him again. I was not as productive as I thought I wouldβve been while with him these last three days but Iβm also not mad about my lack of stuff done. I got some quality time with him and I am so happy with that. I did do some things that would count s productivity, such as some Japanese studying and a short amount of homework. I think Iβll use this post as a motivator for some stuff I need to do with a little bit of what I did this weekend.
π©· What I Accomplished -
Kept up Duolingo daily streak
Kept up Busuu daily streak
Began working in Lesson One in Genki I
Submitted and passed Psyc Quiz for Chapter 7
Began using LingQ for Japanese
Looked into Kanji learning books
so yes, I didnβt accomplish much but again, not mad. I am still happy with what I did accomplish. I also really enjoy the Genki I textbook so far, Iβm still trying to figure out a good note taking technique for myself with this textbook but I really like writing down the end of lesson practice exercises. I think I want to get better at reading and writing, and listening, and my goal is to start italki lessons by December/Jaunary. If I donβt start my italki lessons until a bit later tho, I wonβt be upset because I know learning Japanese is a long process and something Iβll be working on for a good chunk of my life.
π©· ToDo Personal Today, Oct 11 -
Wash bed sheets + pillowcases
Wash + put away all laundry (clothes)
Do dishes
Continue to work on Genki I lesson one
Maintain Duolingo streak
Maintain Busuu streak
Use Renshuu
Look for some more affordable Japanese language resources for my IPad
Talk to my boyfriend in video call
Make a shopping list for language tracker/bullet journal (I get paid tomorrow)
Make a schedule/routine for working out (Iβm going back to the gym next week!)
π©· ToDo Academic for Today, October 11 -
Lifecycle nutrition chart for NUTR
Lab 7 Pre Lab for my Anatomy Lab
Discussion 3 for NUTR
Culinary chapter 10 quiz
not much academic stuff on the list for the day but Iβm trying to take it a little easier with my school things as I am exhausted from a long day of flying and airports yesterday. However, I am using today as like, a set up day for my upcoming days/week. Productive planning is basically my goal for today with a little bit of actively doing some work. I am excited to start my language tracking bullet journal and plan some stuff for working out as I am planning on going back to the gym next week. I want to start with light cardio for the first week just to get me in the habit of going and then after Iβm going to step back into the weight room and start lifting light. My boyfriend got me motivated to work on my mental and physical health a bit better, so Iβm definitely excited!
I feel with the exercising, it will help me manage my stress better, which I feel will lead to better mood and better food choices. Exercising alone is enough of a motivator to take my nutrition more seriously. Iβm more focused on the mental and emotional health aspect of working out than I am the physical stuff, but Iβm excited for all the benefits regardless. I just want to take better care of my health in every aspect, in a way that aligns with my values. Hopefully I will have better posts full of more information and stuff Iβve done during the day once I get all areas in my life back in balance with each other.
thatβs all for now! I appreciate all of you who read and comment and send me the most encouraging and supportive messages, you all keep me motivated and inspired to continue being my most authentic self and help me feel comfortable with expressing myself in this community. I am so grateful for everything that goes into this blog and everything itβs done for me and the direction itβs helped me guide my life in! Much love to all of you <3

what are some journal affirmations you recommend/receive?
Sorry for the late reply!
When it comes to affirmations, I like to search through tumblr for affirmations that match my feelings or desires, and I will write them on post-it notes and keel them within sight. I change them up depending on mood and current desires, but they always help me with my mindset!
But yeah, searching through tumlr blogs that post affirmations that match my needs is what I suggest, as it's what's worked best for me! <3
Day 3 - 90 Day Challenge π
I was so tired that not only was I in bed by 930, but I was asleep by 932. Sadly, I fell asleep before I could get much accomplished. But I still did some things, and I'm going to be honest because what's accountability without honesty!

I did walk over 10k steps, I just don't know how many exactly because my watch died when I got home from work β οΈ

π Hobbies π
I feel as tho I don't have much time to do things besides school, work, some chores, and survive right now, but I've been thinking about some hobbies I enjoy and would like to incorporate into my life when I decide to make the time without burning out!
Reading - I used to be big on reading just about any books I could get my hands on. Then I was really focused on reading self help, and now that I haven't been reading at all, I've been thinking about getting back into reading. Always looking for book recommendations, and I do have my eye on some books I'd like to purchase.
Gardening - if I had the time and space, I'd love to have a flower garden or a vegetable garden. It always makes me happy when the fruits of my efforts come to life, so tending to plants and gardening sounds super fun and relaxing.
Video Games - I used to play video games on and off, but I wouldn't mind owning a PS4 or a Switch and spending some time playing video games whenever I'd want time to wind down.
Cooking/Baking - I love learning things, and the sense of pride I've gotten in the past when receiving praise for things I've cooked or baked has really driven me to want to increase my skill. I've only baked something from scratch once in my life, but I'd really like to expand my skills in making desserts.
Exercise - I'm talking all forms of it! Dancing, martial arts/kickboxing type activities, yoga, pilates, running, swimming, spin/cycling, weight lifting (again), calisthenics, all of it! I don't currently look like the exercise type but I find various forms of movement to be so fun! If I had more time, I'd be trying new things all the time!
Volunteer work - This is something I used to do all the time, and it's a hobby that I enjoyed that kept me humble. Not only that, but I thoroughly enjoy showing kindness and compassion to others. Making a difference in anuwau brings me so much joy, and I love meeting new people and learning their stories. I also would love to volunteer with animals, because they deserve so much love and affection too!
Drawing/Art - I used to draw for fun but when I started college, I didn't have the time to devote to continuously increasing my art skills. I still own a sketch kit, coloring materials, and several sketchbooks so it really is a matter of having time.
Crochet - The thought of making things that I can gift to others seriously makes me so excited!! Crochet seems like such a fun, crafty, relaxing activity and the added fun of gifting those crafts to others would make it so fun!!
Scrapbooking - I don't know if I'd ever do this one, but I do Ike the idea of keeping my memories in a physical space, and not just in like pictures on my phone.
Learning - if school wasn't crazy busy, I'd spend all my time learning languages (ASL, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Italian, etc), computer coding skills, how to make and do certain things, just anything I can do to keep my mind enriched.
Upcycling/Altering Clothes - I would love to upcycle or alter articles of clothes into more personalized pieces for myself. The thought of having a personalized, hand made closet full of clothes makes me really want to buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it to my advantage!
That's all I can think of for now that I'd like to someday incorporate into my life. Having hobbies is always so fun, but I've been so busy and tired that I don't mess with any of the hobbies I'd want to do. If anyone has any tips for time management, or resources for beginning new hobbies, please let me know!!
