Ok so this will be poorly formatted and maybe a bit long.
Ok let’s begin!
I came to terms that I was aromantic a couple months ago though I identified as aro-spec for nearly a year before that.
I realized I was aro in probably a bad way.
For a little over a year, I had convinced myself that I had a crush on my friend who we will refer to as Eggroll.
Eggroll is a sweet girl, she truly is, but she is also obsessed with romance and love and touch and affection. This was something I had to come to terms with in the time of our “flirtationship”.
She was constantly reaching out for I love you’s, constantly in need of affection and live that I simply couldn’t provide. I tried my best, over and over, I forced myself to see a life with her, dates with her, dances, just sweet little moments.
But I just couldn’t get behind it.
This wasn’t the first time this had happened, throughout school, I found myself trying to find people that I found cute or even mildly liked but wasn’t overly close with and slot them into the all to important role of love interest that society insisted was normal for someone of my age.
But it just wasn’t.
And eventually I had to tell Eggroll how I felt.
She was also a bit codependent and a tad insensitive and didn’t listen while also being constantly but hurt if I ever told her I found something rude or was uncomfortable with something.
I told her, over text, one Wednesday, a really emotional day.
She understood, although she felt sad, she sprung right back to her feet by the next week and now is constantly “in love” with nearly every pretty girl she spots.
I’m happy for her, she’s happy for me.
And I get to be happy in my own skin, with a label that I love, that I can relate to.
My experience isn’t the same as everyone else’s but as someone who witnesses identify crises every week and has had many of their own, I am always open to helping anyone who needs it.
happy ace day everyone!!!!
Me having an insane attachment to shows/movies that I’ve never watched: “I’m a big fan”
I had a doctors appointment today and for the first time ever she gave me the review sheet instead of my mom. And I was looking over the review of systems. And the doctor didn’t ask me about any of them. But she denied allllllll of them. Despite my previous claims of cold intolerance, joint pain, muscle weakness ( I was wearing on if my braces for goodness sakes), fatigue and just general other symptoms I have that she KNOWS about. Denied all of them. Oh! And apparently I’ve progressed so far into hashimotos that I now have Hypothyroidism. And she didn’t mention that either. Was a wonderful day /src

Anitri and Surri sat on Jem's couch patiently as Jem brewed tea in the kitchen.
Anitri looked around the tidy apartment, staring at the rose mural on one of the walls. All other walls were white with forest green trims. It was rather peaceful with classical musical playing gently in the background.
A black fluffy, possibly fat, cat walked into the room, and stopped. Staring at the two strangers on the couch. It meowed loudly, fur puffing up on its neck.
"Lordie, leave them alone." Jem said as they walked in with a tea tray.
Anitri chuckled at the cats name. Surri narrowed her eyes at Jem. She's trying to understand the height difference. Yesterday Jem or Coco Rose as they're otherwise known, appeared to be about 6'5"yesterday. Now they seemed maybe 5'10". Seven inch shoes are nothing to sneeze at, but they perform in those. Wow.
"So," Jem started, "If you stay here, you will have to pay half the rent, along with obey a few rules."
The twins exchanged a look before Surri spoke their concern.
"What rules?"
Jem looked over the rim of their mug.
"No copulation in the apartment," Jem deadpanned, "Don't leave clothes in the bathroom unless you want them covered in fur, and don't touch my plants."
Anitri giggled over the use of the word copulation, while Surri rolled her eyes.
"Y'know, just because we're concubus, that doesn't mean we're sex fiends." Surri scoffed.
Jem quirked up their eyebrow in confusion and continued, "That's not what I was implying, sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm simply uncomfortable with any sort of happenings like that and do not wish for anyone to partake in such acts in my home. That would be a rule regardless of your race, species, gender or other components. Simply a boundary."
Surri was mildly surprising at how put together and generous Jem was being to them. She didn't exactly expect someone who knew them to be assassins to treat them so kindly, or even let them in their house.
"Oh, one more rule." Jem said, placing their cup gently on their coaster.
Anitri leaned his over, head on his hands as the were on his knees, "Yeah?"
"If you get blood on the floor," Jem said with a slight smirk, "Please use the rags in the purple bucket located next to the washer to wipe up the blood."
Surri wasn't completely shocked that Jem wasn't against their business but it's still appalling to hear someone so nonchalantly tell you that murder is okay.
"Well," Jem said, standing from their seat, "Do we have a deal?"
Anitri looks over to Surri with a smile. Surri sighs and stands.
"I believe we do," she answers, reaching out her hand to shake.
Jem smiles for the first time and shakes her hand.
"Let me show you the rooms."
Jem walked down one of the halls, Anitri hopping up to follow behind them quickly while Surri strolled along cautiously.
They walked by a door or two before reached the first room option.
It was a blank slate. It had a reasonable amount of space, a bathroom, and a sliding door closet. The floors were wood and the walls were pale grey. The window showed the city in all its underwhelming glory.
The next room was down the hall a bit more. It also had grey walls and wood floors but it had a smallish walk in closet, a two sink bathroom and a bay window overlooking the coast through the buildings.
"Dibs!" Anitri screeched, running to look out the window.
Jem turned towards Surri with a look that asked if she cared to challenge him. Surri shook her head with a chuckle.
Her brother may be the same age but he was so youthful. His spirit hasn't been crushed by the world yet.
'And we're going to keep it like that.' She thought to herself.
"Well," Jem's voice breach's Surri's thought, "If y'all need help moving in, feel free to ask, and if I'm not enough to help, I have a real eager to help friend."
Jem makes their way back down the hall towards the living room when they pause by the halls opening.
"Any questions?"
Surri remembered the busted up combat boots by the door that we're definitely to small for Jem.
"Whose boot are by the door?"
Jem looks over their shoulder with an almost quizzical look.
"They're Emily's."

Jem is sitting on their couch peacefully sipping their tea and watching Anitri swoon over the guys on TV when Surri walks into the room, phone in hand and a bored look on her face.
“Anitri, quit your drooling, we’ve got a job.”
Anitri whined and slide off the couch onto the floor.
“Do we have to go now? They’re almost to the part where they get shirtless.”
Jem groaned and turned off the TV, making Anitri yell.
“What’re y’all doing this time?” Jem said putting the remote behind them so Anitri wouldn’t grab it.
Surri glanced up from her phone and leaned on the wall.
“We were told that this guy; Mickey, they call him, is testing lethal injections on randos on the street. Has been for about two years, but the cops turn a blind eye cause he’s a white pretty boy.”
Jem’s brow lowered as their look of mild interest shifted to utter disgust. Jem looked away for a few seconds before their face lit up with what appeared to be an idea.
“Can I come?”
Surri was taken aback.
Not by the question itself, but the fact that Jem asked. Jem doesn’t ask for anything.
“Uhhh, sure? I guess it’s fine, but you got to bring something to defend yourself.”
Surri just looked at Jem.
Waiting.
Waiting to see what they came up with.
And much to Surri’s surprise, Jem reached in between the couch cushions and pulled out a bat.
“Let’s go.” They said, and mad their way to the door.
“Where the Hell did that come from” Anitri called from the floor.
Surri shook of her surprise and walked over to her brother and pulled him of the ground by his jacket.
“Listen to the scary Enby.”

Jem, Anitri, and Surri were sitting at the bar of Meh discussing there plan.
“So when we find Mickey, Anitri will walk up to him and act like the twink he is. If our source is correct, Mickey will be to enthralled to notice us anything around him, so we can shoot the dart and it will inject the poison.” Surri explained. “Any question?”
Jem shook their head and glanced towards Anitri, who was touching up his hair in the bar mirror.
“Sis, what if the source is wrong?”
Surri pursed her lips as she thought for a moment.
“Well we’ll be there if anything goes wrong, if he doesn’t have a react to you ‘wiles’” Jem gags “then just distract him until I can get a clear shot” Surri told him.
He turns to face her.
“It’ll be fine, we got you.”
He glances at Jem and they nod.
“Lets do this.”

They’re strolling down the street, Anitri in a grey sweater and shorts, his hair swept to the side, his tail swaying, and his glasses slumped forward in his nose.
Surri was in her normal black dress, but with a dark, red jacket today. Her hair was pulled back into a small bun, showing the tattoo on her neck. A spider with an M on the thorax. In her jacket was her concealed dart gun.
Jem was wearing a green tank top and maroon pants under a long trench coat which concealed their bat. They had their hair tucked away in a moss green beanie.
“What does this guy look like again?” Jem asked, tucking a of green back into their hat.
“A Kyle.” Surri said.
Jem snorted a laugh while Anitri shuddered.
They turned a corner and they saw a guy wearing a tank and shorts, holding a kitten and a syringe. He looked as if he was about to use it on the kitten, which was meowing and squirming.
Surri watched as Jem shot forward and smacked the guy in the back of the head with their bat.
He dropped the cat and it scampered into a nearby bush.
“What the hell!!!” The guy said, turning towards the group, and Jem hit him again, this time in the face.
The guy, who Surri could now tell was Mickey hit the deck.
Jem just kept smacking the guy, muttering about how sick you have to be to try and harm an innocent kitten.
Anitri shook off his shock and rushed forward to pull her away from the now bloody and battered Mickey.
Jem huffed, handed the bat to Anitri and calmly walked over to the bush the kitten hid in.
While Jem looked through the bush, Surri walked up to the pile of blood and limbs that was Mickey, who was surprisingly enough still breathing.
Anitri looked at her, a question in his eyes.
She looked from Anitri, back to the battered form. With a roll of her eyes, she drew her gun and shot the dude in the forehead.
Anitri and Surri watched as the form shook and then stilled. Anitri was the first to walk over to Jem, who was now sitting on the ground next to the bush with a wiggly, ginger furball.
Anitri sat next to them and looked at the kitten. It had a scar above it’s right eye, which was green, the other eye being brown. It had a clump of thick fur in the middle of his head that looked like a Mohawk.
Jem held him up to show Anitri. Surri also turned to pay attention.
“This is Westley. He will be comin home with us.”
Surri gave a confused look.
‘Another cat?’ she thought to herself.
Surri crouched to get a better look at the kitten. He mewed at her in the tiniest little cat voice she’d ever heard and Surri decided that this cat was her new favorite roommate.
