I’m not going to post something for everyone who liked or commented on Oakie posts after the polls closed today, but I will post two more pieces, because we had two more voters I haven’t mentioned yet. I am however doing this again for the finals, so you all can have your chance then!

Here’s what was supposed to be a quick sketch of Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening. It kinda got away from me a bit. Thank you @sacredstones2004 :)

This one is a recent drawing (I did it because I was bored) of an old OC I made in high school. Adria Black, hailing from a world full of beings best summarized as vampire ghosts that only adolescents can see, hunted these monsters with her best friend Vivian… until dying and becoming one herself. She wanted to destroy herself, but Vivian wouldn’t accept that, and so now she acts as a spy of sorts. After all, few vampire-ghosts would expect one of their own to be working with a hunter. I hope you enjoy it, @lizardonatoadstool !

Please vote for Lucina (AKA “Marth”). She’s my blorbo and she’s the reason I first started getting into Fire Emblem. To me she’s badass and cute and relatable and funny all at once and how did they fit this much awesome in a single character. I’m autistic and although her behavior doesn’t scream autism quite as loudly as that of some of the other characters in Awakening *cough cough Miriel* she seems very autistic to me with the overly formal way she speaks, her tendency to take things literally, her general lack of social awareness including a comically terrible fashion sense, and the way she often doesn’t get jokes. She feels personally responsible for saving the world and holds herself to such an impossibly high standard and doesn’t know how to rest or have fun because she grew up in a freaking apocalypse… I just love her so much.

i don't think people take me too serious when i say i'm legally blind. Like, guys I am legally never allowed to drive, I need assistance with a lot of stuff because I can't see. People both irl and online tend to be like "oh but you're not THAT BAD OFF" it's not a thing of whether my eyes are "that bad off" it doesn't matter, they're still blind. i still use magnifying and screen readers. i'm learning braille because my eyes are getting progressively worse and I'd like to be able to still read.

I may not be totally blind, but that's the thing, a lot of blind people AREN'T Totally blind. Blindness is a spectrum. and i don't think a lot of people realize that. And I'm just as valid in my blindness as someone on the spectrum with better eyesight than me, or someone with worse.

(This is OK to reblog. I hope that sighted people who might read this really get it into their heads that blindness is a spectrum...)
