OMG. OP you have done something special for me: you reminded me of the name of the show I saw an episode of once at a friend’s house as a kid and really liked, but was thereafter never able to find again. Growing Up Creepie managed to speak so deeply to my bug-obsessed child self that fifteen-ish years later I still have some memory of the half episode I watched and I’m super excited right now. Like, I found it! I found that show I was half convinced I must have made up! I couldn’t pin down the specific episode I saw but aaaaa this is That Show skghjjhhg

I’m really curious as to what very short lived, premium channel series y’all remember if any.

I gotta say, so much queer intra-community horseshit dropped off my shoulders when I decided to adopt a firm policy that everyone is the expert in their own identity, the single most knowledgeable person about what it's like to live life in their own skin, and that if someone describes their experience in ways I find contradictory or paradoxical I should do them the courtesy of presuming that they are striving to express something very specific and nuanced, rather than leaping to the conclusion that they're just dumb and using words wrong.

Sure, there are some combinations of identity terms that I look at and go "hmm, I don't get how that works." I'm still a human being. But there's a big difference between not getting how something works versus insisting that it doesn't.

In my next life I will be reborn as #plural stuff.

Butterflies are basically just a subgroup of moths. I think we as a society need to appreciate moths more.

btw we as a society need to redeem the reputation of moths. Butterflies are seen as beautiful and beneficial and a normal thing to like, but moths are gross and creepy and ugly???

It's so dumb! Moths can be beautiful and colorful like butterflies can be and they are important pollinators! They visit flowers that bees ignore! Moths are a way larger and more diverse group than butterflies anyway!!
