Day 39:
Happy Pride everyone!
Fun fact, I noticed that I was genderfluid only two and a half years ago, before that I thought I was transgender.
If you are questioning, it's fine. Everything will work out in the end.
How did Freddie Lounds not get sued at least a dozen times because of her articles? She violated so many laws.
You're telling me the FBI did nothing against an (as far as I know) freelancer paparazzi constantly interfering with their work?
Day 35: Jambalaya!
INGREDIENTS:
olive oil
500g boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces (remove tendons, it makes eating easier)
1 pound andouille sausage, thinly sliced into rounds (I used polish kielbasa as substitute)
3 small bell peppers, cored and diced (whatever you prefer, I used a mixed pack)
150g celery root, diced
1 chilli pepper, diced with seeds
1 white onion, diced (about mid-size)
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced (extra is always good)
1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
3–4 cups chicken stock
1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning or Creole seasoning
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 bay leaf
1 pound raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Kosher salt and freshly-cracked black pepper
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a deep (non-stick) pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sausage and sauté, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sausage is lightly browned. Transfer to a clean, big bowl and set aside. (Do this before starting to cut the vegetables or you will end up cooking for over 4 hours, I know I did)
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons oil to the pan. Add bell peppers, celery, chilli pepper, onion and garlic. Sauté while stirring occasionally, until the onions are softened.
Add the crushed tomatoes, chicken stock, rice, Cajun seasoning, thyme, cayenne, bay leaf to a big pot, and stir to combine, add the vegetables. Cook on medium heat for about 25-30 minutes (cover the pot with a lid), stirring every 5 minutes or so along the way so that the rice does not burn.
Add the shrimp with the chicken and sausage and stir to combine. Continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are cooked through and pink. Remove and discard the bay leaf.
Season the jambalaya with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning if needed.
Remove from heat!!!
Day 34: Cajun seasoning today for those that don't have any of those good ol' Louisiana spices.
2 Tablespoons paprika (smoked or sweet are pretty good)
1 Tablespoon iodine or kosher salt
1 ½ Tablespoons granulated pepper (mixed)
1 ½ Tablespoons granulated garlic
1 Tablespoon granulated chili
Some dried parsley
Some dried oregano
Some dried chervil
1 Teaspoon thyme
This is my personal preference, feel free to add or subtract from it.
"granulated [food] " is another word for "ground [food]" except that it doesn't mean "powdered [food]"
Day 33: I had some of the best beef tenderloin I have ever eaten today
The meat was expensive but absolutely worth it
Spock at the end of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
cakes for when you die and get brought back but there's something wrong with you and everyone can tell
Day 30: Banana Milk again, no (barely any) waste in this house. You can find the recipe under the tag: #food with aliens
Day 28: The (TOS) Triumvirate be like
Store Worker: „Would a Mr. Spock please come to the front desk? “
Spock, arriving at the desk: „Hello, is there a problem? “
Store worker: points to Kirk and McCoy
Store Worker: „I believe they belong to you? “
Kirk and McCoy, simultaneously: „We got lost :(“
Spock: „I didn't even bring you guys here with me-“
Day 27: Kiel (Ships) and Lübeck (brick constructions)
Lübeck has so many brick houses, it's really cool. Fun fact: Lübeck is known for being one of the first cities to ever produce Marzipan. It has been producing Marzipan since before 1800.
Day 26: I was at a marine research reservoir. They had seals
They are so cute, also the brown one wasn't even part of the reservoir, it was just chilling there hoping for a share of fish
Day 25: Going to the Baltic Sea, if you're ever there go to this 'restaurant' in Wismar.
They have the best fish sandwich you'll ever eat.
Day 24: Was training today
It was a bad day for shooting today, made worse by the man insistently coughing into my back
Still fun tho, I recited lines from Faust to concentrate
Day 22:
Why are almost all Star Trek Fans either
1. Bored housewives secretly writing K/S fanfiction in their free time (or those absoulutaly scrumptious pieces of K/S poetry)
2. People that think Star Wars is not calm enough/ does not have the vibes
3. ✨Space✨ people
And why am I two of those??
Day 21: Potato-gratin with bacon cubes
Shit looks good
Ingredients:
1,5kg firm boiling/ waxy potatoes (I don't know the word, sorry)
Butter/Oil
100g bacon
1 Stick of leek
150g melting cheese (?), Salami flavour
200g cream
3 eggs
Salt, Pepper
Herbs of your choice
Recipe:
Peel the Potatoes, wash them and cut into 4mm thick slices. In Saltwater barely cooking (not done) and then put them in an oiled up baking form.
Cube the bacon, clean the leek and cut it into rings. Sauté in hot oil for 5 minutes while stirring. Spread over the potato slices.
Whisk 100g of the cheese, cream, eggs, salt and pepper and herbs. Spread over the Potatoes also.
Bake in preheated oven at 200-225°C for 40-45 minutes, adjust if needed.
After 25 minutes, add the rest of the cheese in small blobs.
Enjoy!
Day 18: got some Tortelloni with cheese sauce
Good food, sadly not self made though
Day 17: Sewing a cloak and failing
I can't understand instructions
Day 16:
I am trying to make a Mephisto looking costume for my German class. Me and two friends are reciting part of Faust 1, Walpurgisnacht. It's horrible, honestly.
I cannot, for the life of me, remember my lines.
The first thing is him not wanting to walk, then he complains more about the lights and running into trees, then he bullies a will-o'-the-wisp into showing them the way through the Harz and then he talks about party. He's horrible, really (affectionate)
Day 15: I drew some bois
They live here now
Backrooms be like:
Backrooms be like:
I made a banana milk today:
2 bananas
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
500 ml milk
Cut the banana into slices and put it into a pot. Add the milk and mix the two together. After that add the sugar and the lemon juice and mix again.
It tastes better than it looks. It will have a thick layer of bubbles because of the mixing as well
I got a sword
Day 9: Off to the Comic-Con
I have a Tomioka Haori and a frog hat, fear me
Forgot to post the result yesterday
It was very tasty and you have food for at least 6 people
Meatballz
Pasta Al forno all' abruzzese
Let the chaos begin
Me before watching Star Trek tos:
What even is K/S? It can't be that great, right?
Me five minutes in:
Oh dear- I might have underestimated them...
Oh, wow-
Day 4: Saw the neighbors cat today, he might look cute but don't be fooled! He will hiss and bite after rubbing himself against you.
