Idk if this is what you meant or not but I like the idea of Max and Richie being stuck in a time loop and reliving the first act of NPMD until they both survive. At first they just try to save themselves and it doesn’t work, and then they realize they also have to save each other

needlessly sad thought for the evening is that we don’t technically see Max or Richie alive in NPMD since act 1 is a flashback and they both die during act 1.

this (prolly) doesn’t mean anything and I’m over thinking but I’ve always enjoyed toying around with a sort of time loop idea. like they’re both stuck repeating both of their deaths until something changes, but the rest of their peers move on and forget about them

I like to think that Nibbly is blind and he’s real close with Blinky because he’s like his eyes. Makes sure he doesn’t look the wrong way during a summoning. That would be pretty embarrassing.

And I think Nibbly had to convince Blinky to make them cute fem outfits because he’s uncomfortable in anything but a skirt

Perhaps Blinky turns into a little keychain so he can still help when Nibbly is doing his own evil stuff and Blinky doesn’t wanna steal his thunder

I feel like if Richie ever introduced Max to Stardew Valley, he would quickly turn that cute little farming game into a war campaign.

Like they would just be sitting there on the couch, playing together on the tv. On Richie’s side, he’s peacefully farming away and decorating the land outside of the house, while also trying to complete the community center. Occasionally, he’ll go down into the mines to get supplies.

On Max’s side, he’s sweating. Hands are clammy. Moms spaghetti. His character’s health bar is at 5%, and he’s frantically eating whatever he can to give him stamina. Theres monsters surrounding him from every corner. He’s babbling and cursing as he swings around his sword, frantically collecting stone and ore. He’s died sixteen times. Harvey hates him. On his side of the farm, he has three coops filled with dinosaurs. He loves them all equally.

Do you think Webby is unhappy? Do you think she looks upon a relationship like the Fosters and feels a pain in her chest at a family who protects each other? Do you think she misses her own family? Depending on whether you think Webby is the oldest or the youngest, that headcanon can go differently. Do you think she grieves? If she’s alone in the white, it must get lonely and quiet. Do you think she ever talks with the trees in the forest when the loneliness gets bad?

I actually think that people who portray Max as some irredeemable monster (pre-death) is more OOC than a lot of his well-written redemption arcs. If you see him as the two-dimensional bully that he is seen as by every other character in the musical, you missed the point of his death scene. He’s a tragic character because he could’ve been better. Maybe not good, but better. He had 18 years to be different, and he didn’t. And when he finally had some development, he died. That’s heartbreaking! He’s human, guys. That’s the whole point of the show. No one is as two-dimensional as they may let on.

So. Logically, Dead Max is Like That because of the curse. The mayor says “That’s not Max anymore,” implying that whatever brought him back warped him beyond reasoning or humanity.

But wouldn’t it be so much funnier if (because he was drunk when he died) he was just. Eternally hammered to the point of insanity.

Gonna have a hell of a headache when he gets to Drowsytown, that’s for sure.

what makes max so interesting to me is his self-awareness and his self-destruction

from the line in literal monster and what he says as ghost!max, he knows that he’s going to peak in high school and have literally nothing after he graduates. he’s not ignorant to it, he fucking knows

and he’s the one keeping his system in place. he’s the one preventing himself from having a real friend or just someone that wants to do something nice for him. he’s the one guaranteeing that’s he’s going to peak in high school. it’s all him and only him AND he fucking knows it! but he does it anyway

all it really comes down to is fear. he’s afraid of his future, but he’s more afraid to do anything to change it
