but also i LOVE all the details that are like, wow, this was a piece of the background. you made this a two hour gimmick. (this is about those fucking robot hands in sector six.)

are other people making "hopes and dreams in part 3" bingo boards?? i was thinking about it and made a list of like 30+ things to put on the board (a LOT of them are definitely only dreams and won't happen but i thought of them and want them to happen so...)

Im back in college now so I won’t be able to post as much. Good thing i can schedule posts lol

so Zack gives Aerith the ribbon she wears until the day she dies, he suggests she wears pink and she does, and it seems like there’s forget me nots on her letters to him and that matches her necklace. And she keeps that ribbon and that dress until she dies and when Cloud lowers her into the water, reuniting her and Zack, she’s still wearing the date dress for Zack. And let’s not forget all the sweet compliments Zack gives Aerith and how hard he worked on her flower wagon! And how Aerith loved him so much she waited for him even longer than they’d dated! And Zack loved her so much he literally died trying to see her again! She was one of the last things he was thinking about as he died. 😭 it’s also very sweet how Cloud keeps reuniting Zack and Aerith. Of course he’d do anything for his friend who kept him safe, but he reunites Zack and Aerith when he lowers her into the water, he does it by taking Zacks sword to Aeriths church, and then he does again by taking Aeriths flowers to Zacks grave. Cloud loves his friends and he is the biggest Zerith shipper.

Basically developing a fancast at this point but just with ff7 characters

FF7 Rebirth Theories (that I have and like to scream about)

Here are some of my theories of what I think is going on in this game and what it means for the FF7 franchise moving forwards.

-The Lifestream is a river of souls, emotions and memories, yet sometimes these threads branch off and create new alternative universes/timelines, like light shining through a prism. Think of the lifestream and its different worlds as the roots of a tree.

-Like how the lifestream connects all lives and how it represents the cycle of life and death, so does the tree of life in various mythologies.

-Now that I look closely at Rebirth's ending I think Aerith is both alive and dead. She's entangled with the physical world and the spiritual world (Lifestream) and can hop between them at will.

-Which is why Cloud and Sephiroth see her as alive, but to the rest of the party, she's dead. She's in a fluctuation of states due to her ancient abilities and uses this to her advantage. (Schrodinger's Aerith lmfao)

-I dunno but I still think there's two Sephiroth's. The evil one who wants to merge all the worlds, become a god, and rule the planet alongside Jenova, and the one from the original OG timeline who's trying to stop this from happening and the one who shows Cloud the multiverses in the first place

-Cloud is slightly aware of what is going on regarding the different worlds/timelines, but the dude has to regain his true self first

AerTi In Space: AU concept

When the team fight their way through Hojo's lab in the Shinra building, Tifa and Aerith pass the central pedestal and see cracks in Jenova's tube. In a split second, glass shatters, mako splashes, black tendrils are everywhere. Around Tifa's throat.

This body fades. And you are...

Compatible.

We must continue. We must endure.

Bluish veins snake down Tifa's limbs as Jenova's infection spreads, dissolves into her.

One eye jitters and flashes scarlet when Tifa first connects to the hive mind. She summons a lightning storm which shorts out most of the containment in the lab, then blows a hole in the ceiling and ascends to the roof of the Shinra building.

By the time Aerith and the team reach her, she's surrounded by robed figures, R&D monsters, flanked by Cloud and Sephiroth.

They all call her 'Mother' now.

Aerith, one of the few not under Neo-Jenova's thrall or restrained by those who are, fights through and begs Tifa to wake up, to come back.

But when she touches Tifa's hand, she feels something more invasive, more wrong than she's ever felt in her life. Aerith's skin bubbles where they touch, something is crawling and burning through her veins, and she screams.

The awakening of a new Jenovan node has caught the attention of both the Jenovans and a spacefaring sect of Cetra who departed thousands of years ago and evolved separately to those who remained on Gaia. Two warships glitch into existence in the blue lightning bruised-sky maelstrom above the Shinra building.

Tifa and Aerith are whisked away by their respective alien peoples. (To avoid making Gaia even more of a mess, and because Tifa's now a crucial, living part of the Jenovan collective.)

Aerith tries to understand what it is to be Cetra far from Gaia's lifestream. The Cetra who left and became space-farers are entirely different - the only similarity is their connection to the energy flow of the universe, but it is strange, and unfriendly, and metallic, and far too big. Where does Aerith belong now?

Kept apart by their peoples, who are bitter enemies, Aerith and Tifa maintain a mysterious mental connection across the galaxy.

They meet in dreams, but when you're both lifeforms whose consciousness transcends physical bodies, where is the line between dreams and reality? And how much are the Jenovans, watching now that Tifa is the centre of their everything?

If they escape, will there even be a home to return to?

I originally called this 'a gently Sefikura epilogue' and then went and sketched out 10 chapters and now it's looking like an *aggressively* Sefikura epilogue haha. We start with a speculative stab at the Remake/Rebirth universe final battle and go on from there with some ✨Cetra magic✨ and eventual warm fuzzies.
