Curate, connect, and discover
Ok, so I know it's not my usual fair, but I just got my Hestia statue for my Altar, and I'm really really happy π she actually came in, I think, a little earlier than expected, which is great π
For reference, this is what my Altar now looks like!
So, the statue is pretty obvious, it's definitely the only statue there so far, and it's in praise of Hestia, goddess of the Hearth. Also for Hestia is the big ass painting(made by one of my absolute best friends in the world who is unfortunately not on this app but made it for my birthday 'cause she's awesome like that!!!), and then a couple of basily, minty smells for the wax melter. I also have a more official altar for Hestia that sits on the mantle piece; it's a little mini forest candleholder thing that I made a while ago with a candle that really just reminds me of Her.
The car is for Hermes, god of Messengers and Thieves. It's mainly there because He helps me a lot when I'm driving, and it felt fitting, but there's also a sticker with the number 4 on it(his sacred number) and four flowers that seemed like his vibe. There's also a strawberry because it's one of his sacred foods, but low-key I always forget that, even though I'm constantly eating strawberries π He has some wax scents, but not too many, just because there weren't that many that spoke to me for him.
Right now, all I have for Apollo is a sun sticker with seven crows(both his sacred number and his sacred bird. Fun fact about that, when I was looking for stickers to decorate the altar with, there were exactly seven crows, and I think that's pretty cool), a few scents(mainly summery fresh ones, right now I have a honeysuckle scent that just really spoke to me.), and a ring I got from my grandmother that isn't shown.
I do have a few items such as the ring holder, the smaller painting (made by the same girl who did the big one), and the heart that just seemed to fit. I don't directly pray to any deities that find those items symbolic, but it couldn't hurt to keep them handy, right?
Anyways, I have a bracelet for Hermes coming in the mail that's supposed to come soon, so maybe I'll post that, too. Have a good day!

I am not devoted to either of them (yet),but I really need their help for a sick relative and since they are gods who heal, I hope they can listen to me (plus today is Sunday, the day of the sun, the day of Apollo).
Mirror mirror why do you show
The train that canβt be coming that slow
I feel the rumbling under my feet, in my bones and in my teeth
Mirror mirror why do you lie
Showing me a girl when I canβt fly
I feel the ache, the tears and all Iβve ate
Mirror mirror why have you forsaken me
Why donβt you show me what I could see
I see your cracks and blood and flack
Mirror mirror what have you done
What can I do to make us one
I see them here, dead and free
Why do I see them in your face, but only death stares in my place
Hi! Op Loki here in the explain-inator! Welcome those who are curious enough to step foot into the βkeep readingβ box! I suffer from insomnia and occasional hallucinations during said insomnia episodes, which often can be somewhat useful in helping me pinpoint which part of my mental state caused this little bout of insomnia. Recently (for when I wrote this) Iβve been suffering from bodily autonomy issues due to my educationβs strict policies and many people demanding my time and effort for their own conveniences. I usually have a hard time saying no to these people because theyβre usually closer to me, and it got to the point where it was like βhold on a minute, this is *deadname*, not Legion/Lokiβ. When I thought about myself. And, well, the hallucination wanted to highlight the unstoppable passage of time, my autonomy issues, and the inherent dysphoria that comes with being LGBT in general. And, to do that, it chose time, mirrors, and vampires. But who am I to question- would this be Apollo? Thanks, Apollo, ik Iβm still new to worship, but this helped. A lot. And Ares, for giving me the strength to fight.
