The Consort of Erebor
It seems that after the quest, no one in the company wears golden jewelry, opting instead for humble wooden beads.
I do prefer cartoon ish style in my works, but the consort deserves a lot more than that.

A Modern Hobbit AU,
Except the Company is a band with Thorin as the lead Guitarist/singer and founder of the band. Gandalf is their Manager.
The plot is that they need a lead singer for the tour they’re about to go on, and Gandalf remembers his old friends son who had an amazing voice.
He shows up with the band at Bilbos house, they throw a rave and convince him to go on tour with them. They don’t believe that he’s as good of a singer as Gandalf says until they actually hear him sing.
Thorin doesn’t think he fits in with their aesthetic, but then accidentally falls in love with Bilbo.
If nobody draws this then I’m gonna lose it, im going to do it myself, but I hope to see someone else’s interpretation.
I have an opinion of Rings of Power.
But hear me out because I am commonly known for being in the grey area of a lot of things. I like having that open mind and that’s what I say with this.
I’ve heard a lot of hatred for Rings of Power, and I get it, it’s not something straight from Tolkien, it’s a rendition.
But hear me out when I say I freaking love Rings of Power and everything about it. And I know it’s not fully canon, I know all of that.
But gang.
Rings of Power. Is literally fanfiction.
It’s a fanfic brought to TV.
That’s probably why I love it so much as well, because yeah, it’s not canon, neither is Thorin being Frodo’s dad/uncle but we roll with that when we read it cause it brings us joy.
I have similar views for The Hobbit. It’s literally Bagginshield slow burn and Kili x OC.

Thorin - He's good at cooking dishes that don't require many steps. Simple things like pasta, eggs, meat...
Bilbo - An experienced cook, he's really good at desserts. Likes to keep a clean kitchen while he cooks.
PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Neither for the two of them. They are akward middle-aged men, virgins. Bilbo is too shy to admit that his only romantic knowledge comes from books.
SHOW OF AFFECTION
Thorin- He's more likely to use gestures rather than words. He likes to buy Bilbo expensive things.
Bilbo- He is more prone to using words, He also enjoys using the written word, writing poetry and praises to Thorin.
They are both embarrassed to show affection in public but feel safe when they are alone or with close people.
Please feed me any Hobbit or LOTR fanfics, please, I need something to energise me before work and I’m running low
Imagine if the reason that it took Bilbo sixty years to be badly effected by the Ring, was because it wasn’t Saurons voice speaking to him. Or the voice of the ring or whatever.
Imagine it was Thorin’s voice.
He spent all that time, not separating himself from it but also not doing anything evil or bad was because he was just grateful to hear Thorin’s voice again, no matter what it said to him, it was his voice.
And when he was separated from it, he was desperate and sad, but he could pull himself back because he knew the ring wasn’t him, he was dead.
Thoughts…
I am about to rant about the movies and acting and such, I want to make it clear that I am merely a film student with nothing but a certificate for the time being therefor I am not a professional with any professional opinion.
This is just me and my thoughts as a NYFA graduate and a gay ass BagginShield shipper.
The amount of times Tauriel and Kili’s love story is paralleled with Bilbo and Thorin’s scenes is literally a filmmaking technique to portray the two relationships without getting castigated by the audience.
Which also brings to my attention a possibility of Tauriel being made a character for the heavily disapproved of and messy love triangle thing, as a way to draw the attention away from Martin and Richard making Bilbo and Thorin’s story one of beautifully grown friendship, to love, to an toxic and tragic end.
Sound familiar? Because that’s similar to Kili and Tauriel, though they had the freedom of exploring more into the romance then the friendship that the main characters had to work with. Because who wants to see a straight couple slow burn? Plenty but not people who ogle at hot red heads such as myself, (I love my girlfriend guys).

Example 1:
The scene of Balin telling Thorin that someone needs to go save Bilbo (while he’s in with Smaug).
Cuts to Bofur giving Tauriel the weed and asking what she’s going to do with it, she responds by saying “I’m going to save him”
Clean cut back to Thorin running into the mountain, not for the gold as he hasn’t even seen it yet, but he’s looking for Bilbo.
Example 2:
Tauriel crying over Kili, asking Thranduil why it hurt so much, and knowing the comfort she needed, he tells her; “because it was real.”
Then we get to Bilbo crying over Thorin, Gandalf sitting down with him and just being there, knowing the comfort that Bilbo needed.

And yes I did in fact rant to my Poppy about this before finishing it and ended up in an in depth discussion about Peter Jackson’s directing on it in general. Normal Sunday night tbh.

Not me while writing The Royal Trios introduction scene, rubbing my hands together deviously as I big brain this shit.
“Dis is on Thorin’s right because she’s his ‘right hand’, while FRERIN is on BILBO’S RIGHT! AHAHAH IM A GENIUS!!! RAHHHHH!!!!”
Literally my internal dialogue, often.
I am going to make a semi official announcement on my in no way shape or form official Tumblr account.
Only because I need help.
My current fic has been going by the names ‘I Have Your Back’ or ‘I’ll Carry You’ for the five years it’s been in progress, but I’ve never been as happy with the name as my other fic (which I’ll discuss at a later date).
So I’ve come here to ask for advice or suggestions! As well as any ideas for the fic in general that you’d like to see played out.
And I know that context will be needed for the naming ideas, so here is a little sneak peak:
Chapter One: An Unexpected Party

‘Damned Dwarves and damned Wizards’ was all that Bilbo could think as his mind reeled from the throwing of his mothers West-Farthing pottery, and the song that he seemed very rude indeed.
And now, with the three hard knocks on his beautiful, freshly painted door, Gandalf the Grey expects him to welcome more?
He followed complacently regardless, mostly to ensure no more damage was going to be done. Though he doubted these bastards would listen if he tried to stop them.
And goodness he’d tried.
As Dwarves crowded behind in each of the doorways, peeking out enthusiastically, Bilbo mentally prepared himself and prayed for the night to soon be over.
He watched Gandalf bend over and open his door with a wide smile… too happy for his liking.
And outside.
Stood three bloody Dwarves.
They stood in a lineup, looking bloody majestic, looking bloody handsome, looking… ARG! What was he thinking!
He was looking at three Dwarves, wearing the same thick cloaks that made them look massive, same fur lining underneath, even same oil black wavy hair and similar beards.
From eyes to stature, from face to clothing.
They were identical.
Each turned their heads and eyes to the old man greeting them, and they all smiled charmingly.
The one on Bilbo’s right lit up and grinned wider then his companions.
The left one smile fondly with tired eyes and head tilted up high.
Then the forefront and centre, turned his lowered head and smirked. Bowing his head slightly in some form of greeting.
“Gandalf,” his voice broke through the silence, before he took a step into the light, his comrades right behind him.
There was no way they weren’t related.
Now that they were in the light, Bilbo could see certain things clearer.
The head of the trio was certainly older, a couple of grey strands shone in the candle light from his mane of hair, accompanied by two thin braids on either side of his perfectly carved face, which bore more then his fair share of stress lines.
Lefty bore a single beard braid at the chin, alongside hair parted into two large braids. Mostly resembling the centre Dwarf in stature, expression and… well, everything except the greying hairs.
Righty was certainly the easiest to tell apart, he remained grinning as he stepped into the light , hair tied up in, what Bilbo could recall to be two bubble braids on either shoulder, there was the faintest of a scar that he could only see for moments turned in the right light that ran across his face and over his nose, accompanied by moustache braids similar to… what’s his name? Kili or Fili? Regardless, there were less signs of stress and age, his youth thoroughly shown in his bright, puppy-like expression.
“You’ll never believe why we were late,” the cheerful one had a chuckle in his voice.
The single beard braided one joined in grinning as the eldest scoffed and rolled his eyes. “We let Thorin lead the way.”
“We got lost only twice, this time.” Thorin swung off his cloak in a fluid motion.
“Good thing Dis has an eye for detail,” bubble braid snorted. “Surely that mark was yours.” He questioned Gandalf.
Mark? That can’t be right.
Before he could speak up at all, he stepped forward only to bump into Dis, then Gandalf, then the still unnamed one and finally into Thorin before two hands on either shoulder clasped him steady. The Wizard and the Bubbly one.
“Bilbo Baggins,” he stood up tall as they both let go of him. He swept his long sleeved arm from him to the trio, all cloakless and lined up once more.
“Allow me to introduce the leader of our Company, Thorin Oakenshield.”
The eldest turned, and dark eyes looked Bilbo up and down… Inspecting him.
“His brother, Crown Prince Frerin”
The cheery one smiled politely. A sparkle in his eyes as he raised his hand in a tiny wave.
“And his sister, Lady Dis of Ered Luin”
“A pleasure,” she replied with a respectful nod.
Gosh he’d heard that Dwarven Ladies bore beards, which is more than most Hobbits could accomplish, but this was quite humorous and astonishing.
Thorin, slowly took two steps forward, making Bilbo’s tongue feel heavy in his mouth as he towered over him. Arms crossed, scoffing as he looked down on him.
“This is the Hobbit?”
And before the Hobbit could retaliate, feeling his blood boil at the ugly ego that somehow outshone his attractiveness.
The leader of this Dwarven mess, was whacked cleanly across the back of his head.
His sister glared at him and Frerin wheezed.
Maybe… there were some Dwarves that Bilbo Baggins could tolerate.

Here we go! This scene alone has been rewritten to death but now I am somewhat happy with the result.

I hate when I’m trying to write my fics in peace but suddenly I’m hit with a ship that would make more sense but this current ship is so embedded in my fic that I can’t change it even if I wanted to 😫

You all can just call me BBB~ it sounds like the right thing I suppose, I'm rather new to all this tumblr stuff but I heard it is good for sharing your hobbies and intrests so... here I am. Just slowly sinking back into my holy trinity of intrests and enjoying every moment of it.
Bugs, Bolts and Beers.
The best way to describe all my loves in a simple way thou I don't actually drink beer to be honest, meds kinda make it so I can't. But I love dwarves and they love beer plus BBB just sounds better then BDB ya know? Why dwarves? I blame hobbit and lotr to be honest, I watched the movies all the time when I used to go visit my Gram in the summer and my god it is some of the best memories. Plus like if I had to pick only one fanasty race to play then dwarves all the way, we got space dwarves, fantasy dwarves, modern dwarves each with differences that make them simular but different. Plus Deep rock is one of my favorite games along with Dragon age, Warhammer and Baulder's gate. Oh! And Dwarf Fortress.
As for Bolts~ I've always been a techy gal, enjoying building stuff with my hands or working hard on my computer. I do alot of graphic design even thou it's not my fav, I rather be spending my time slowly building mech models. From gundams to robotic bugs and computers, I try to keep my options open~ I've been rewatching the original gundam but there is a inch to replay armored core that I can't ignore. Leagues of Votann are my main army in WH40K but I also have a bunch of Tyranids to put them against, man I need to open some of the boxes one day. I can fix omost anything if you give me enough time and reasourses, thou I might need a few cups of coffee to keep myself awake.
And the one closest to my heart.... Bugs. Now why that is sort of a mystery even to me, it's just been a intrest in my life forever. From little larvae to full grown beetles I can't help but love them and how they grow and adapt. I own a ton of bug plushies and a couple dozen books on bugs, my lovely partner says that we could raise some in my terriarium but I haven't worked up the courage for it. My favorites have to be mole crickets, any sort of beetles, bees and giant water bugs thou the diving spider is up there too. I could probably go on and on but I don't want this to be to long. So I'll leave it here.
