Thinkin about the multi-dozen's of games I tried to make and never finished. (Like three different TTRPG systems and like, six card games lmao.)
A human crewmate, Mia, held a long thin box. It seemed to have paper and plastic peices inside, based on the sound. A puzzle perhaps? A few other crewmates trailed behind them.
"Hey Bob! Wanna join us? We're playing Clue, it's a board game from earth."
Bob nodded and joined the others trailing after Mia. He had no idea what a 'board game' was, but it seemed fun. They eventually all gathered around a table in the cafeteria.
"Okay, so it's a murder mystery and we have to figure out who killed Mr. Body. We're all possible suspe-" Mia started to set up the board and explain, but was cut off by Jli'yan.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but why do humans have a game centered on murder and distrust?"
"Cause it's fun, thrilling. Good for poker face practice." Kaya answered, shuffling cards. They then nodded towards Mia to continue explaining.

It's been a year since I released my first board game - Secret Order! I worked on this game with Valhallions and am delighted to say that we will be working together in future to make more wonderful games!
It's been a fantastic year and we can't wait to share our next game with you!
If you've missed it, you can find it on The Game Crafter here; https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/secret-order
And if you're developing a game I would highly recommend using The Game Crafter for manufacturing. Their website made it really simple!
This is a new variant of Scrabble I'm working on which is fairly mean to its players. Rare letters are no longer rare, point values are rendered mostly meaningless, and you have to make valid plays without actually seeing any of the words on the board. Please click over and share your thoughts, I'd love some input on this. Would it actually be any fun to play this way?
Ok but a Metroid tabletop game with cards that had a graphic design pattern similar to Samus’s scan visor would fuck unbelievably hard.
The world might be on fire, or it might not, let's play battleships anyways
This is your board, and I have just the same:
[ID: 10x10 grid. Numbers (on top) left to right 1-10. Letters (on left) top to bottom A-J]
And these are your ships, and I have just the same:
[ID: 1st ship: Aircraft Carrier—1pcs—size: 1x5
2nd ship: Battleship—1pcs—size: 1x4
3rd ship: Cruiser—1pcs—size: 1x3
4th ship: Submarine—2pcs—size:1x2
5th ship: Destroyer—2pcs—size1x1]
• Your ships cannot overly
• Your ships have to be placed horizontally or vertically (no diagonally)
• If opponent sinks a ship, you have to tell which one it was
• If you hit something, it's your turn again
• If you want to stay anonymous, please identify yourself with a code name (it can be as simple as an emoji)
• Please don't cheate
~ the first turn is yours, send a call out in the ask box
~ I will tell you whether or not you hit something and then I will call out (if you didn't) {all o' this in a posted answer}
~ It's your turn again, first tell me whether or not I hit something, then call out (if I didn't) {in an ask}
~ this goes on until one of us sinks all of the other one's ships
~If you are unfamiliar with the game itself here's a link to an in depth explenation
+ I'm using a different board with every player
+ The gameplay or the rules might be modified if I get bored of them
+ Planning on drawing my own ships and board instead of the current ugly ones
Hell yeah
I love playing board games…but I do not enjoy learning how to play them for the first time! 😤 What games do you enjoy playing? (We’re always looking for new ones to play!)
In other news - I made some Garfield comics! My first story is in Garfield Issue 1, out this Wednesday from Boom Studios! I’ll make a proper post about it soon! 🍝🍕🐈
