So Anya took Melinda's attitude towards her son as "she didn't want to take care of him because weak and weepy"
While in reality Melinda's attitude towards her son is complex emotions regarding the fact that her son is also her husband's son aswell.

So I was digging at my old files and I found a Christmas short story that I wrote long ago but never post anywhere (donβt even ask why π). So that gave me the inspiration to wrote a short story - based on this one - in the spy x family universe.
The story is going to be 4 chapters and I am planning to publish the first chapter near Christmas (donβt know the exact date right no but we will see I guess).
Let me know your thoughts. Should I give it a try, although I am sucking at writing fluff? π
UPDATE: Prologue is up β€οΈ
At first I thought that what would soften Damian's heart would be Anya and when they started to get along he would change but I think I was wrong lol, despite all the situations they went through he still remains the same and it's a little frustrating....I think what will really be the turning point would be an improvement in his relationship with his mother or brother, and if not, with the forgers (loid/yor) but I don't know π€
Iβm really hoping one of these days that Anya invites Damian over to *her* house as part of Plan B. If he doesnβt want to invite her over to his house cuz theyβre not close enough to go to each otherβs houses, then clearly she needs to breach that barrier herself like she has with every other one in their relationship.
I just think he would benefit from seeing what loving and supportive families look like. Kids need models for shit like that. If he can see firsthand what it looks like in action I think it would be good for him.
Even if it hurts because he would be comparing his family to hers and feeling the lonely divide of his family a bit more keenly. I think itβs still better that he knows what being a family should mean.
I donβt want him to be sad, but I also worry about him. About his reaching for a father that doesnβt seem to care for him but also seems to care for him when they interact. He tells him to take his time at dinner and chew his food so he doesnβt make himself sick. But he also leaves Damian alone at the table.
His brother and mother also left him alone there with his father. Dispite Melindaβs fear of her husband, she left her youngest son there with him alone. And I know she feels guilty about it and about not talking to him then or encouraging him when he seemed like he wanted to say something so badly. It just still sucks that he was left all alone, seemingly without a second thought from anyone but his father.
Anyway I want Damian to see what a real family dinner looks like. And what it looks like for parents to help their kids study. And to let their kids play and be silly and watch cartoons with their friends when they have a playdate. But they canβt call it a play date because that would be too juvenile for him lol

So resourceful, Loid, so resourceful ππ»ππ»ππ»
THIS is definitely my most favorite scene from episode 11. Anya ran hurriedly and then JUMPED WITHOUT HESITATION into the swimming pool (please remember that it was the deep, adultβs pool, not the shallow one for children). She knew that it was dangerous, yet she was so determined to save the boy. She was so brave for her age, she truly earned that Stella and nobody can tell me otherwise.
Congratulations, Anya, seven Stellas to go!
πππππππ
GUYS I WAS SOOOOOOOO AFRAID THAT LOID WOULD INTERROGATE ANYA. Before this episode, he was often surprised because Anya βcoincidentallyβ responded accordingly to what he was thinking about. But then she took the smart move here.
As usual, our smart 4-year-old Anya managed to find the safest solution to her problem, so that Papa didnβt suspect her anymore.
βEven if she isnβt immediately able to receive any Stella, it would be beneficial to Anya to learn about community service.β
.
BONUS: Did anybody notice that during the volunteering, Anyaβs hair were tied into double low buns? I realized that during briefing session, her hair was still in the usual style. Soβ¦..did Loid do Anyaβs hair off-camera? πππ
Instead of being an explosive parent, Loid gently lifted and comforted Anya when she cried. He was even thinking about finding and nurturing her talent. To make this scene more wholesome, Anya said something to comfort Loid, which surprised him.
Look, Iβm totally aware that Loidβs main motivation when he first adopting Anya was HIS MISSION. That he is Westalisβ best spy thus he MUST succeed. So, he had every reasons to be mad at Anya when she got bad grades at school, when she could not catch up with her classmates who were 2 years older than her, because it might fail his mission.
But did we see Loid yelling at Anya? Beating her and forcing her so hard to be an Imperial Scholar in only 4 months?
No, we did not.
We constantly see him as a considerate father figure, who is always taking care of Anya dearly without even realizing it. Remember episode 1, when he infiltrated enemyβs place to take Anya back from the kidnappers? He was at high risk of being recognized (and risking his life as well) because he wasnβt wearing mask, but he still did it to save Anya. Or episode 4 (the school interview), when Loid almost punched one of the interviewers because he made Anya cried? And so on and so forthβ¦
Itβs been only 11 episodes, but I think itβs more than enough for us to thank Spy x Family for showing this beautiful, pure, and heartwarming father-daughter relationship.
We are Yor in those situations πππ
Anyaβs exam results. Idk but the questions look quite difficult for first grade students. Her handwriting tho π π π
Somebody please tell me how a man on his 30s looks this cool (and hot at the same time π₯΅) while reading a series of comic books which his daughter is a huge fan of.
Happy weekend everyone! Regarding todayβs episode, Iβm sure you have seen many posts discussing the prominent moments such as the almost-kissing scene and so on, thus here Iβm not gonna talk about them again. However, I just rewatched the episode and found out some interesting things/scenes that perhaps many people donβt really talk about.
Yorβs precision was no joke. She managed to direct that fork so that it only slightly injured Yuriβs cheek WHILE SHE WAS DRUNK.
2. Seriously what did The Garden give Yor when they were recruiting her? A super soldier serum? She slapped Yuri, a grown man, effortlessly as if he was mere a feather.
3. Remember in last weekβs episode when Loid prepared lovey-dovey accessories? That one mug with βLOVEβ written on it? Seems like everything had been back to normal after Yuriβs visit.
4. THIS IS THE MOST HEARTBREAKING SCENE OKAY? Here we can see Anyaβs reflection on the spoon, looking sad. Poor Anya, she knew exactly what was happening between her parents, but she couldnβt say anything π
5. Frankyβs good at acting. Thatβs it.
6. The way Loid dropped his shoulders then looked at Franky right after Franky reminded him that the one and only way a spy can survive is by not trusting anyone. Emotions, emotions.
7. Aaand finally, this scene when Loid finally decided to trust Yor, emphasized by him crushing the βmicrophoneβ thing. This is a big moment considering how profound he doubted Yor before.
BONUS:
This is the most beautiful scene of todayβs episode. Love the colour palette, the vibe, and Yorβs expression as well :)
Watching a twenty-minute episode on Saturday night THEN WAITING IMPATIENTLY FOR A WHOLE WEEK to watch the next episode is such a pain in the bum.

β¨ A sketch of a couple of things I've been thinking about to test some new techniques I wanted to try.
β«Έ I headcanon Anya from spyxfamily doesn't actually have pink hair, her hair is either light ginger or strawberry blond. this is why no one seems to notice how odd her appearance is, and it helps people buy the fact that she is loid's daughter...
CanΒ΄t believe I wasnΒ΄t aware of this before. Basically binge watched the anime these holidays and jumped straight into the manga. WhatΒ΄s this beautiful spy thriller/comedy on crack???Β I want more... moooreeeee!!
