Curate, connect, and discover
Rarity is always an icon, but ESPECIALLY in her “The Other Side” music video. Oh my god, she’s stunning.
I was watching a movie the other day and I heard the word "everybody" but my brain autocorrected it to "everypony". I think I'm cooked.
“Fluttershy Leans In” (S7, E5) is one of my favorite Fluttershy-centered episodes. This episode really shows us her character growth and how she has gained the ability to assert herself when it really matters.
As we’re all well aware, she is the element of kindness. In previous episodes, we saw her be a total push over and doormat for whoever wanted her to be in an attempt to remain kind. But she worked on this through the seasons, like how she learned that saying no can be very important in being truly kind in the episode with the Breezies. We also saw her work on her assertiveness during Iron Will’s workshop episode. What makes “Fluttershy Leans In” so intriguing to me is that we see these lessons truly come together as Fluttershy attempts to clearly communicate her vision as she builds a reservation for the animals. When the contractors she hired ignores her desires, she eventually snaps and tells them that they’ve done the exact opposite of what she wanted and that she wouldn’t have them working for her anymore. I absolutely LOVE that she stood up for herself. I also love that it’s connected to the animals, which makes her more confident in what she has to say. Fluttershy has come so far and I think her character growth was written really well.
Cartoon horbses!!!!! Do it!
Damn it I wanna watch the pony show again
@bat2pony this is your fault
I’ve gotta say, I really enjoyed My Little Pony: The Movie. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into it. I think the pacing was done well, and I like the depth that we got to see in Tempest. She was an antagonist, but she also wasn’t a villain. She was just a hurt kid who wanted to feel normal again.
These two scenes really showed us how small and hopeless Tempest really feels, despite the fact that The Storm King seems like the most harmless villain ever. I mean obviously he isn’t entirely harmless; but he doesn’t seem very smart. Without Tempests help, he never would have been able to steal the Alicorn magic. Which makes me wonder why Tempests didn’t just do it all on her own. Is that explained in the movie?
I also love that they didn’t give her the horn back. She doesn’t need to be fixed; the world needs to see her as she is, and she is learning to come to terms with that. I think the movie portrayed this message well. It’s a good metaphor for any kind of disability in our modern society.
This movie also a had a lot of frames with all of the mane 6 together that were very pretty.
I also want to say that I really enjoy that the movie didn’t have the same animation and art style as the show. At first it felt strange, but it quickly became refreshing.
As a little treat, here are some other frames I really super duper like ^^
I just finished watching My Little Pony: The Movie for the first time ever and I’m absolutely obsessed with Songbird Serenades design. She deserves her own post.
I think of this scene every time I’m sweeping now.
🎶sweep, sweep, sweep🎶 S6 E9
Pinkie pic dump, because she is my favorite. And I have too many screenshots of her.
So I was doing some research on the pony Pacific Glow because she looks so much like Pinkie Pie. During this research, I found this.
This is the funniest thing I've ever seen and I can't stop laughing.
I just finished watching the EQG Summertime Shorts (I am slowly working my way through my watchlist) and I have to say, I absolutely ADORED Coinky Dink World. The song was so much fun, the concept is adorable, and Pinkie Pie’s outfit is the best I’ve seen yet! I loved the design so much.
If you haven’t watched the Summertime Shorts yet, I highly suggest them. They give us such fun details about the characters with bits and pieces of things that took place between the movies. They’re so fun!! I also love how the creators included scenes that show us what job each girl works, which makes it feel more relatable. I always found myself wondering how they afford their instruments, clothes, and supplies for everything else. I feel like the shorts add so much to their characters.
Star Tracker, you have my entire heart <3 (from one fan boy to another)
S7 E22
His nervousness is the most relatable thing ever, I literally couldn’t breathe when I met my idol. Him standing so close was definitely unacceptable though, Twilight shouldn’t have had to ask him to give her space 😭
This is THE episode!!! Oh my gosh, for forever I've had the faintest memories of a my little pony show/episode/special thing that I used to own on VHS when I was like maybe 6 years old? I was suuuuper young BUT THIS IS IT!!!! THE EPISODE??!
Part 2 of a charming birthday screenshots
This is an official Thorax appreciation post because he is SUCH a little guy!!!
I love to see his character growth. He truly was just a selfless changeling who wanted friends. And he learned how to make them, and inspired the rest of his colony. Not only that, but we also get to see him grow as leader of changelings and his friendship with spike develops and I think it’s so wonderful how many details we get about his character.
I just found something cool (and forgive me if this is common knowledge) but I wanted to share it✨✨
The first image is Twilight Velvet, A.K.A Twilight Sparkle's mom in FiM. The last two images are Twilight from g1!
I think it's so cool when shows utilize character designs from earlier gens!
Also as a bonus here is Twilight Twinkle from g3!!
Ah!!! My commission from leo.love333 on instagram is complete!! Isn't she a cutie patootie?? Check out their account for more art like this^^
70% of all FiM episodes genuinely bring me to tears. It's not like I'm sobbing over them, but they definitely leave me choked up. There are so many messages and moments in the show that are so powerful and resonate with me so much more now that I'm an adult than they did when I was a kid.
The show addresses themes like growing, changing bad habits, acknowledging when you're wrong, and caring about yourself, those around you, and the world that you live in. It leaves me thinking how much better our world could be if we all had a little bit of faith in each other to do better.
I just finished watching S7 E13, where we learn about Applejack's parents. That's what sparked this rant. Grandpear crying and saying "I never should've left" genuinely BROKE something inside of me. You're telling me this 90 year old man abandoned his daughter for marrying someone from a family he didn't like, regrets it 40 years later AFTER HIS DAUGHTER IS DEAD? And now he's genuinely trying to change and to connect with his grandkids. Yeah, this is a show for kids, but it's so much more than that, too.
Inky Rose, you are STUNNING!
S7, E9 of Friendship is Magic
Starlight really likes kites. (I’m obsessed with this detail about her character)
I just finished watching the Rarity’s Peak Behind The Boutique shorts, and I’ve gotta say, I genuinely enjoyed them. The shorts that are put out between seasons and movies are so fun to me! We get to see some extra filler content without it taking up entire 20 minute episodes. These shorts in particular I really enjoyed all of the throw backs to outfits that Rarity has designed in earlier seasons. I never really realized how many of her designs genuinely impact the plot!
I also can’t help but think about how these shorts take place after she has opened her boutiques in Canterlot and Manehatten. I can imagine Rarity’s reaction to being featured in her own news segment or appearing on TV for up-and-coming designers. It’s more detail about how successful Rarity has become, compared to how it seemed like a far-off dream in the beginning of the series. These shorts fuel me, I won’t lie.
In case you want to watch them yourself, the names of each short for Rarity’s Peek Behind The Boutique are “Fashion Do’s and Don’ts,”, “Fashion vs. Function”, and “Customer Critiques”.
Discord has one of the best redemption arcs I have ever seen. Everything that drives him is the true and honest kindness he received from Fluttershy from the very beginning. She gave him genuine friendship that he didn’t have to fight for, unlike with the other mane 6. Don’t get me wrong, their wariness and distrust was 100% valid. Especially considering how discord betrayed them more than once after his initial redemption. But this betrayal is exactly what I love most about his growth. It wasn’t instantaneous. He didn’t immediately change into a good person or a good friend, He lapsed back into his bad habits and his old lifestyle because that is where he felt safe. He didn’t know how to be a good friend. And certainly didn’t know the first thing about changing. But he worked to become better anyway. Despite his poor choices, Fluttershy stuck by his side as he worked to turn himself around and break away from the lifestyle he used to rely on.
It is such a real representation of what it takes to change. Mistakes, grace from those around you, and most importantly, it takes time. The writers captured all of this and more while still staying true to the whimsy and the chaos that makes Discord who he is. I love this show.
I want to post more g1 and g3 content but I must continue through my rewatch of FiM. No skipsies allowed. You get g4 brain rot until I've completed the rewatch. Yesterday I finished up until the friendship games prequel shorts. Next up is the flurry heart scrapbook shorts 🫡🫡
When I was in high school I was in a radio broadcasting class and for our final the entire class had to collaborate on a script for an episode of whatever cartoon we chose to turn it into a radio play. We ended up doing Scooby Doo, but I desperately wanted to do an episode for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Sometimes I think what our script would have looked like had we gone through with it. Maybe I'll do that as a little side project, just to fuel the hyperfixation.
S5 E19. What in the Junji Ito is this?
Through a bunch of digging, Reddit posts from years ago, and the MLP wiki, I have made a watch list of all canon content from all generations, including movies, series, specials and shorts! I can’t guarantee it’s flawless, but it exists. Feedback is appreciated 🙏
I also have lists of the special episode titles I might post at some point. I am filling my brain to the BRIM with cartoon horses.

How could I make an MLP blog without posting the iconic smug starlight? I wish her redemption arc wasn’t so fast (her going from bad to good, not just her learning how to be good) and I think Twilight wouldn’t have been so quick to take her on as a pupil. However, the way they incorporated her past traumas into her behavior throughout later seasons was done suuuuper well, so it makes up for it. On top of that, her friendship with Trixie is everything <3
I started rewatching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic a few months ago. Gen 3 and Gen 4 were an apart of my childhood, now it is all consuming and I no longer have a personality,
Silly little multi fandom edit I made | btw I post edits on YouTube, not to self promote but my YouTube is @sonataisbestdazzling if you’re interested!
