Runner Five - Blog Posts

tried to force myself through the zombies make challenge tonight but only got two prompts before i was too tired to keep going

prompt 1 (left) is five just jamming through their post s3 feelings

feeling pretty shitty at the moment but im still trying to keep doing art

im trying go make my art more expressive and dynamic which is hard for me

this is one of the sketches i did yesterday that i actually like.

hopefully ill find the motivation to clean it up and lineart it.

early season 4 runner five. specifically pre-m22.

1. a liittle looser on the long part of the mohawk but still obsessive about the sides and beard.

2. a LOT more scars in hard-to-find places

3. feels like everything keeps pulling them back. they want to confess their feelings for sam but want to not be so unwell first because they feel theyd be an emotional burden due to their mental health issues (relevant in the next one)

4. barely sleeps, avoids people. wants help but feels like they cant ask for it since everyone has so much on their minds already. knows this isnt healthy but cant get past it.

just overall a bad time

part 3 out of 3 for season 3. spoilers for late season 3!

welp heres 5 post mind control, a total wreck who is exclusively powered by the screaming rage and terror at the thought of moonchild getting what she wants.

1. growing their hair out and cutting their beard are now severe triggers for them. they obsessively trim their hair far shorter than normal but will cut you if you go anywhere near the beard. dyed their green the most eyewatering, unnatural shade of neon green they could find as an act of panicked defiance and to try and regain some autonomy.

2. insomnia took a hard turn for the worse accompanied by nightmares and panic attacks.

3. fell off a seven year self harm wagon.

4. severe mood swings. desperately wants the comfort of their loved ones but feels too guilty to seek it out

S3M44 AND ONWARDS SPOILERS

2/3 for my s3 sketches of five, sooo this is them under mind control.

1. moonchild just Happened To Mention things she thought would look good on them, primarily that they should grow their hair out and shave their beard as well as stop bleaching and dying it. and being under mind control 5 was only too happy to do what msde her happy.

2. 5s eyes are usually fairly glazed over and tend to go unfocused and wall eyed when not focusing on something specific.

3. their smile is usually peaceful and mindless but on rare occasions becomes a frantic grimace when forced that can even break into hysterical giggling when excited in any way (doing something that they fight against)

4. the most well rested theyve ever been.

5. picked up a lot less scarring during this time

im splitting season 3 into three phases with this first phase being up until about s3m44.

1. the usual applies; scars fade, new scars are acquired, more facial hair grows in

2. taking the loss, betrayal, and uncertainty hard. having a lot more trouble sleeping. their hair is a little more unkempt this season.

part two of my sketches (see zombies run seasons challenge tag) for runner 5.

they picked up a Lot of new scars during season 1 and are more confident and competent but a lot more tired and stressed out.

1. since its been about a year since the outbreak and even longer since their accident, five's face is healing quite well and some more patches of facial hair are cropping up on amoungst the scar tissue.

2. keeping their hair a bit shorter now so theres less to grab

3. doesnt wear their facemask in abel nearly as much but still wears it on runs

first in a series i want to draw where i draw my 5 for each season (i want to draw them for every mission too but ik starting small. will do full body ones later just posting this with some notes.

1. their facial scarring is still relatively fresh although their wound have for the most part healed.

2. most of their lower face cant grow facial hair due to the burns but a few small patches manage to push through.

3. during the helicopter crash they suffered a minor burn to the back right side of their head which healed up fairly quickly but they had a bald spot and a gnarly scab there for a few weeks plus some scarring later on.

4. they wear a face/neck mask (one of those bike ones thats like an elastic sleeve) almost all the time for a long time. the reason for this 50% because it helps them breath (sudden temperature changes make their throat tighten and hurt), 40% fear of germs, and 10% self consciousness. over time they wore it less and less when not on runs

5. was made to shave their head at mullins and so spent a few months growing their mohawk fairly long

6. while they've always had insomnia the bags under their eyes are much lighter in earlier seasons.

watching adventure time reviews/theory vids and doodling. dont really like how these look but im trying to draw and post more.

23. Getting Sick (this one will be a two part-er for the next post).

- When they start to feel the sniffles or the coughs coming on, they’ll usually try to deny it for as long as they possibly can.

- They don’t like it when other people fuss over them, so they’ll go about business as usual until someone (usually Maxine or Sam) calls their ass out on it.

Anon - I don't know if you were expecting this much but I HAD IDEAS and COULD NOT STOP!

Anyway, this is what I came up with!

Jody, Simon and Five are in a famous band called the Noisemakers where Five is just living their best life.

Janine is their manager.

Sara is their bodyguard.

Sam is the bands #1 fan who write 2011 Wattpad fics about being bought by one direction the Noisemakers. He wins a competition to meet the band and finds that Simon has read ALL his fanfiction (because Simon would read fanfiction about himself) it was funnier in my head.

Zombies Run: Becoming Human

I do apologise about these AUs but the floodgates opened and now I can't stop :)

Anyway - @swamp-y reminded me of Detroit: Becoming Human and I started rewatching the Super Best Friends Play playthrough and I had IDEAS.

I've tried to put these in order of how they'd occur ?? Idk. The last one is only because I wanted to draw a blush-y Five with their blue blood.

I was going to keep all but the first as really sketchy doodles but then no eyebrow Five was TERRIFYING so that had to change 😂

Runner Five - again

Okay I’ve been meaning to revamp my Five art in a while since both my art style has changed, and some of my Five headcannons have also changed. (Also had a bit of a ‘i hate my art’ moment and deleted all my original art apart from a few pieces) So have a rebranded KaoticFive Five. The biggest difference is probably her fave weapon is a knife now...

Also I saw in @lucidii Five fact sheet they had this cute little outfit section and I wanted to do that so badly myself so the idea is entirely theirs!!!!! I’m such a sucker for character design

Panic

During and after Season 3, Five experiences terrible panic attacks. They’re worse at night, when she can’t run the thoughts away. Sometimes Sam can get her to calm down, but sometimes all he can do is hold her and talk softly until it runs it’s course.
