one time i had a dream where there was a death note arc where the death note notebook got replaced by a death note red solo cup that had "DN" on it in sharpie and light would kill people by drinking from it in the corner of frat parties with mikami and everytime he killed someone theyd make out and the kira police task force wanted to investigate more after the notebook disappeared but no one on the task force could bring themselves to investigate light because 1. what if theyre subconsciously targeting him bc hes gay with mikami that would make them homophobic and 2. no one wanted to ask about the cup bc everyone thought the "DN" on the cup stood for "deez nuts" and no one wanted to get deez nutted at a frat party and be embarrassed.

I decided to use Midjourney to create a Ryuk with valentines theme.

I think it keeps taking reference on the not Anime Ryuk but these still look pretty cool.

I did it several times but these ones look good so I am sharing these.

I got the Midjourney AI today.

I’m rewatching death note rn and I love how ryuk, who is supposed to be above human concerns and is watching light’s life play out like a reality tv show, still saw him throw away that mini tv and was like, I can’t tell if ur cautious or just a spoiled brat 😒

Okay but Ryuk was the best possible bestie Light could've asked for. Dude was literally like "I ain't getting involved, but you go slay" and. He listened to all of Light’s evil plans??? Light got him apples he wanted???? They played Nintendo together?????

Ryuk was onto something saying Light was a good shinigami because I know for a fact home boy wouldn't be caught dead doing that shit with anyone else.

Everyday I get angry about how unimaginative Light was. Like if I was given a death note I would simply write down the names of all the billionaires in the world and force them to donate all of their wealth to different charities and organizations before dying of a heart attack. Like rip to Kira but I’m different.

Death Note💚 L has got to be one of my favourite characters ever and no, I’m not crying😭❤️

Death Note AU where Sidoh gets a clue earlier and starts looking for his stolen notebook around the time Light and L have their virtual dick-measuring contest. He flaps down to confront Ryuk and Light, who just laugh him out of his house since Sidoh is as scary as a weird kitten. He manages to beg off a single page so he won’t die, and watches Light sneakily. He figures out who L is and goes to watch that human instead, thinking maybe he can get back at those two for laughing at him. So when L finally puts together the clues, ‘L did you know shinigami love apples?,’ Sidoh touches L with his single sad page of Death Note and says, “They don’t all love apples but that Ryuk sure does.” After L picks himself up off the floor and changes his pants, he has some questions.

just remembered that shinigamis have been around for a LOOOONG time, and could’ve been in the human world at any point, which offers us a lot of opportunities

I find it really funny that he expected Ryuk to save him, especially since never even once tried to get the shinigami on his side

Y'all get sad when you watch Light's death scene?? Babes I watch his death scene when I need to cheer myself up. Feels like I'm getting vengeance for the love of my life L.

Also his death was better in the manga and by better I mean it showed his true personality (which as one YouTuber well put it -an immature child). Bro was crying and begging like a little bitch not to die and trying to convince Ryuk to kill everyone for him when he realized he'd lost and then basically told Ryuk to go fuck himself when he wouldn't do it.

In the end Light forgot that Ryuk was always just an amused spectator in this whole thing and was never really on Light's side. Light was not a hero so he didn't die like one.

Also just like narratively I love how Light spends the whole story being so smooth and smarmy and one step ahead of everyone only to go out like a little bitch.

Don't get me wrong, I love Light in the sense that he's a very well-written character but like he absolutely deserved what he got.

Another anime that completely changed my life.

I really can't explain how fucking clever is this anime, because I don't have enough brain cells to do so.

The plot is unique, the characters are well written and likeable (well some of them)

I saw Death note in eng dub and I am planing to watch it again, but in a japanese dub. Because let's be honest both of these versions are fucking gorgeous.

The characters: OK I actually like almost every of them.

But

I really dislike Misa.

I'm sorry, but she is just so annoying and whiny. Always complaining about something and is so naive and stupid it hurts.

I have even more respect for Light now. God, if I was Light I would kill her the very first moment she opened her mouth.

And she is rude to L and Matsuda (and everybody who isn't Light)

The fun character is Ryuk, which I love so much. He's sarcastic and I really enjoy his relationship with Light.

And his voice actors are fucking masters. I mean his rough voice is scary and entertaining at the same time.

Lawlight - okay this is the ship that I am obsessed with now. I just can't help it. The chemistry between these two is to much. They had better relationship then Light and Misa (but I guess I can't compare it like that, because Light manipulated with Misa. The thing is that I think that Misa know that Light was with her because he didn't have a choice.)

L' death broke my heart. And at that moment I was angry at Light, but in the end I still hoped that he will win. Because let's be honest Near was great character and detective, but he was too cold for me. L was more like awkward and unsure of how to act and interact with other people.

And there is also Mello. Which death did not hit me that much, but it still saddens me. Mello is the complete opposite of Near and I wanted more scenes between them. I wanted more development from their already unstable relationship.

Death note is just perfect, but there is a one character which I wanted to know more and that's Lights sister. (I don't even know her name anymore) We actually don't know anything about her other then that she is Lights younger sister. I hoped there would be more scenes between her and Light. And also her last moments in the show are sad.

Funny question : what happened with Lights Mom?
