Redid my Empires season 1 Joel, easily my favorite perspective to watch

While I DO understand the point of the full British suit. I hate it and I wanted to do smthn different

So I took inspiration from Arabic Sultans as well as the Anasazi tribes (the ppl who built the Mesa-Verde ), I wanted to give a colorful but sharp and prideful air to him, sort of like a flashy bird

So mostly pinks, blues, and greens that would stand out strongly against the dusty oranges of the Mesa, as he wants to be seen EASY. His main color is the pinkish-purple of his original jacket w/ complementaries of the yellow and green, with blue to add visual diversity. The patterns are inspired off of north-mexican native weaving patterns & Arabic geometric architecture, but heavily simplified

He has pearls littered around his clothes from Lizzie bc he loves her <33 he has a leaf on his head that he insists is normal and natural bc he doesn't believe in magic (he also ignores his enchanted items)

Joel is also actually usually really dirty/dusty, and he takes extreme care to be presentable to any other rulers, he goes thru like 7 pairs of gloves a day cus they get stained real easily

He's very strong tho, from carrying all the clay/concrete, he can pick up lizzie no probles 💪💪 may redraw Joey next idk

Basically I just wanted him to feel. Jungle-y. I took inspiration almost entirely from ancient mayan/Aztec clothing and art, ofc simplified down and changed to fit with his MC skin more :]

I gave him very bright, vibrant colors, to sort of break up his design and add visual difference (also to stand out against Xornoth's dark pallete and be a visual opposite to Scott), Teal is meant to be like the main complementary color, idk how well I did with that tho LMAO

He also has some medallions on his belt, specifically one for Xornoth <333 his crown also glows and floats like a sun, its warm and revitalizes anyone nearby. He has floating gold behind his shoulders also, which turn into his wings when he needs to fly.

Also his netherite sword is now a netherite māccuahuitl, he got that bashin' stick. And I decided since he mainly sells totems of undying, he is the only one of the smp who retains scars thru respawns, just thought it'd be cool LMAO

I'm on a fuckn ROLL babey

I didn't actually watch Katherine's playthru, I just used a wheel picker to decide who to do next LMAO but I'm sure she was lovely to watch, I loved her parts in the plot and in Joel's challenge vids (also I believe she was in some of Gems vids and I did watch Gems so)

Basically I wanted to kinda combine wedding vibes as well as like. A wine lover, like the vibe of a field of lavender and grapes. Her only warm color is her skin, it makes her look very warm and alive in contrast :]

For the dress I just aimed to make it look plant-y, like it was falling down around her and stuff. But she has inorganic parts around, with the gems and metal, which add a bit of contrast and mystique

The crystal heart of hers also foreshadows how she's a homunculus for the Overgrown, but that's also my explanation for how she respawns :] idk I just love her a lot she's very pretty <333

I'm ashamed to say I've never actually watched any of Sausage's eps for empires, I'm pretty sure the only content of his I saw was Joey interacting with the Church of the Blood Sheep I think???? But bc of that, this design was so hard 😩 I went with his king skin tho cus I feel it's the most recognizable

I went almost entirely just European, specifically like the royal paintings where they have very wide shoulders. I wanted him to be very square and broad, that he looks strong and immovable.

But, when you look closer, you realize how impractical and bulky he actually is, which hints at how he's egotistical and too prideful for his own good. His only armor/weapons are iron, and everything else is gold, also leaning into that idea.

For the rest of everything, I just leaned into the lore of blood. Every animal except the Blood Sheep can 'give blood', either to the Sheep or to Sausage if he needs a regen. I fought with the idea of sausage not having blood of his own but idk, I kinda want him to just so he can offer to the Blood Sheep

BTW the Blood Sheep constantly pours blood from its soaked wool, it acts like water in the kingdom. And the dogs are a hive mind, connected by blood frfr (I think that's how all blood-related people would be in mythland? Tho maybe it'd also be smthn that requires the Blood Sheep idk)

I ain't actually too happy with this, it. Had so many problems and set backs and things I just wasn't enjoying dealing with, so it is. Mid to me. Maybe I'll retry it soonish so I don't hate it forevers

ANYWAY! GEM! I watched her series a bit for the lore (and Redstone twins angst sorry not sorry) but I don't remember much so I struggled with this LMAO

I didn't have many irl inspirations other then the people's of the Andean mountains in Peru, and even then, it was mostly just. How her overcoat folds and clips IWHWIDBD everything else was just kinda what I thought would look nice

Her clothes have dragon scales on them as armor bc even if she's a healer she's also pretty scrappy, some of the potions on her person are def ones of harming LMAO

I also imagine she has other outfits but haven't drawn them yet cus I. Gave up! Simple as that LMAO

I switched her school outfit into a pirate-y, mire adventurous fit, but with frilly and pretty details bc she needs to slay

I made her goddess form kinda dragon-like. She has a thick, long tail to help aid her swimming, she's very streamlined

Her hair is thin and silky, doesn't cause as much drag and dries quick. Lots of pearls and the heart of the ocean decorating her chest. Yeah

Anyway, design process

I used VERY MINIMAL inspo from finnish n Nordic fisherman/general outfits for his outfits, mostly in the use of leather and burlap

For his human design I just wanted him to be dorky and kinda scrappy looking, clearly made or edited by his own hands. He has a knitted cod hat and a hand-woven dyed rope belt that doubles as a fish net, and ofc a bottle or two of slime tying it together

For his fish form. I based the cod head part on a mix of Cod (duh), dunkleosteus, tiger sharks, and minimally on lion fish. The tail is a combo of fins and a shark tail, along with boney scales and sharp spines. He's very tough and durable

Ofc he also grew arm fins and his feet became more creature-like. Crechur

I also imagine that, while not immune to damage, he's very resistant to it (and resistant to cold :))

Also this is HC-y stuff but I imagine that Jimmy, as a sea God, represents very different things than Lizzie. Lizzie represents more of the Idea of the ocean, it's vast power and danger, the storms it makes, etc

Whereas Jimmy represents the interconnectedness of sea life and the life cycles, I'd even argue he's lowk a land-god rather than specifically a sea God and I KNOW cod are salt water but. He's so freshwater coded srry abt it 😛 he is a being of change first and foremost

Even tho he's a being of change tho he dislikes industry as he believes it is inorganic and ruins natural effort and stuff. Same with magic, there is nothing a spell can do that your own hands can't do better. Also magic hurt Scott so he don like it 😔

Dame Katherine, Guardian of the Spring and The Overgrown

The ruler of the Overgrown is always chosen by the Spring, although the reasons why they are chosen seem to always differ. In Katherine's case, it seems that her neutral stance on conflict was a large part of this, as she is Dame in an uncertain time

Hair and wings are very important in fae culture; hair shows age (and presumably wisdom) while wings, the most delicate part of the body, are protected and showed off. It is very tacky to wear clothes that clash with your wings

Count Fwhip, the elder of him and his sister Gem, was the youngest Count of the Grimlands in recent memory, as he became Count at a mere 17 years of age

Known as the 'Tinkerer', the Count enjoys the magic offered by redstone crystals and dust rather than spells. He can often be found in his workshop, and it is wise not to interrupt him, for some say he is slightly mad - whether this is true, he does have quite the temper and foul side

He will clean up for dances, but will usually be found anywhere but the dance floor. It is said he has a distaste due to the importance of dance to the Coddish, however this is just because he can't dance

Question about Charlie:

I was wondering, does Charlie need an angelic weapon to be able to kill an exterminator/angel? Because it doesn't seem like Lucifer needs one, so it would be my assumption that she wouldn't, either. But I'm not sure. Anybody have any ideas?

Can someone please, please I'm begging you, explain to me how Maverick pulling Rooster's papers from the Naval Academy would have pushed his career back four years? I have no doubt that Maverick pulling his papers would have cost him years on his career to becoming a Naval Aviator, of course, but as to how that would have been the case, I'm pretty in the dark. Like, when did he find out Mav pulled his papers? Was it after he turned 23, so he already passed the age where one could apply/re-apply for USNA? But if that was the case, what was he doing in the meantime? It was still his goal to become a Naval Aviator, so what was he doing between 17 or 18 (probably the age he applied) and 23? Or did Rooster learn his papers had been pulled earlier on? But if that was the case, why didn't he just re-apply to USNA? Or am I missing critical details to the entire situation altogether, and completely misunderstanding what happend and the circumstances? I have no idea. I don't even fully know what "pulling papers" really entails. Is it something that anyone could theoretically do, or is it something that could only be done by Maverick because of his military/naval position? I am very confused.

If someone would be kind enough to explain, that would be beyond appreciated!

The form is directed at worshpiiers of Persephone and Hades and mostly focuses on how you experience the deities and their relationship to one another. Concerning the study it mostly focuses on how neo-pagans here on tumblr approach their deities and what sources they consider valueble for their spirituality/religion. All I hear now is beeduo, clingyduo, benchtrio, any duo from the Dream SMP, but what about Stacyplays and Graser10, huh?! They are one of the original Minecraft duo's and they're amazing and I love them both!!! I'm officially dubbing them giraffeduo (for obvious reasons if you watched their most famous collaborative series, Mineclash :)

But in all seriousness, they are both amazing content creators for Minecraft and otherwise, and have an amazing friendship that is so entertaining and lovely to watch! They bounce off each other so very well, you can really tell how close they are! Ive been watching them for years upon years now, and they never get old to watch when creating content together! Anyways, I hope they post more content of them together/collaborating in the future! <333

thinking about a god AU, I dunno! The concept of Tubbo = Sky, Tommy = Sun is fun to mess with!

Hot take that a lot of people won't like, but labeling C!Tubbo as simply "Ferial, crazy boy with nukes that loves explosions🔥👹," is as generalizing and simplistic as people who think "soft, bee boy who loves flowers and sunshine🥺🐝🌷"

Please, I'm begging you, C!Tubbo is so much more amazing and complicated than either of those! But yeah, simply just my thoughts, anyone can think differently!

I'm gonna say it. MCD Aphmau was a much better parent then DSMP Philza. She was a leader while also being put through so much crap, and her children still stayed first and foremost. Hand those traumatized kids over to her 😤✋

Dream SMP Patron/Deity AU

Alright, so I've been having this idea for an AU that wouldn't necessarily affect the events of Dream SMP timeline, but would more of be an interesting background concept! And would maybe add in some more fantasy/supernatural aspects that could happen because of the Divine!

Tubbo - He is absolutely a follower/worshiper of Ianite, who is his matron. He was made by her, after all, given as a gift and a blessing to her Champion, the Caption, who longed to be a father. As Tubbo grew up, he lived in the End with his Caption and would often visit or be visited by Ianite, who was much like a grandmother to him. He was also given her Blessing, like his Father. Eventually, Tubbo left to the Overworld permanently and the story of the Dream SMP begins. During the prime days of L'Manburg, Tubbo got a tattoo, which is a very important part of the practice and worship of Ianite, of her symbol, a scale. It coveres his uperback and is extremely intricate, and he absolutely adores it. When Tubbo, Ranboo, and Michael all permanently move into their new mansion, Tubbo takes a small room in their new home and dedicates it to Ianite and her practice. He had a small alter set up for her in his old cabin, but this one is much grander, and he has much more space to set it up exactly how he sees fit. Ranboo, of course, was already aware of his husbands practice and worship of the Goddess, so he wasn't surprised at all to see that was something Tubbo wanted to do, and encouraged it greatly. Michael though, was not aware of this due to it never being mentioned in front of him or having seen his Bees alter that was snuggly tucked away in the corner of his bedroom closet back in the old cabin. So, when he saw this and Tubbo explained what it was and who it was for, Michael got very ecstatic and very curious. Tubbo now reads books about Ianite, her worship/practice, and the End to Michael, and he absolutely adores it and learning about the Goddess. He'll always ask to be read to about her before going to bed every night. Michael also likes helping Tubbo gather offerings or set up offerings on the alter for Ianite, like flowers or herbs or candles or incense. It's also important to note that Ranboo will often come to Tubbo when he wants to learn or has question about the End, considering the other spent his childhood living in the Realm. Also, if you don't already know, Ianite is an End Goddes, specifically the Goddess of the End and of balance!

Tommy - He has always been a passionate, energetic fellow, and this promptly caught the attention of the Goddess of hope, strength, fame, justice, and warriors, Prime. She sent many sighs to Tommy, showing him she was reaching out, and although it took a good few years for him to figure it out, he eventually did when he was ten. Tommy soon after finding out became a follower/worshiper of her, and she become his patron, even at his young age. Prime would stay with him and observe him to see if he was a good fit to give her Blessing, and she deemed him more than worthy. At fourteen, she gave him her Blessing. During the Greater Dream SMP, before L'Manburg was even a concept, Tommy, along with the help of Wilbur and Tubbo, built Church Prime in her honor and for her worship. He also named the Prime Path in her honor and for her followers. A very big and important part of the practice of following Prime are bells, specifically gold ones. It's said that ringing a bell before prayer or worship will draw her attention towards you. Since Tommy was ten, he always kept his golden bell, that he put on a rope chain, around his neck or in his pocket. He will always ring it before doing something that involves her.

Technoblade - His patron his the Blood God, although I assume that was unsurprising to many. Technoblade has been a follower of them ever since he could remember. The Blood God helped him survive and kept him alive and fighting when Technoblade's family abandoned him. He then became a warrior for them and their practice/worship, leaving the Neather where he was born and living in the Overworld permanently. The reason Technoblade is so attached to the Axe of Peace is because it was a gift from the Blood God when he first enterd the new Realm of the Overworld. He goes on assignments for the Blood God quite a lot, often involving bloodshed of some sort.

That's all I have set in stone for this AU as of right now! I'll probably come back later and make more posts about this AU, because I enjoy it so much! Also, I would recommend you research the difference between a matron and a patron! I would inform you, but that could be a whole post on it's own!

I've already seen some people talk about this, but I really think the dynamic between Phil, Ranboo, and Tubbo on the new Powers SMP has the potential of being really, really interesting! When we think about it, all three of them originated from the End, it could be really interesting to see a shared homesickness between them for their old home. But they are now, for some reason, living permanently in the Overworld.

It's also super interesting to think about Tubbo being very protective over the two of them, especially Phil, because Shulker Boxes in actual Minecraft lore are there to protect and keep the treasures of the End, elytras specifically, safe from harm and people who want to take them. So it would make sense with Tubbo being a Shulk that he would instinctually feel the need to protect and be a shield for Phil, who is an Elytrian.

Anyway, I just thought these ideas were super cool and have the potential to make some interesting lore! Do with them what you will!

I love the fantasy story, I love our main characters, I love that an LGBTQ+ relationship is the main focus and star of the show, and that there are strong, complex women characters.
