Note for the DC fandom: Bart isn’t Wally’s protége (or Barry’s, for that matter). He always worked with Max Mercury, or Jay Garrick, if Max is unavailable.
I see this happen a lot in YJ98 fanart, where the Core 4 is shown with their mentors, and it bugs me. Barry was kinda dead during the 90’s, and Wally really only worked with Bart when the situation called for it, they didn’t hang out much (neither are mature enough to deal with each other for extended periods of time).
Smaller gripe, but Kon also didn’t spend a ton of time with Clark. That’s mostly because Superman has this long track record of accidentally being a terrible father. It’s more of a gripe than anything, as Kon usually trained under Psimon or the Guardian (as he doesn’t really have Kryptonian powers, just tactile telekinesis).
I want Bart to go feral on his family. I want him to snap and fight to be treated better than he is because he deserves better and he’s not a pushover, i don’t know why anyone would ever think that of him. Iris and Joan is pretty great to him, but Barry, Wally and Jay deserve to be yelled at, scolded, punched, anything.
Sam: *puts tinsel on Dean*
Sam: Making you a Christmas tree...
Dean: What? Why?!
Sam: Because the angel tops. *smirks and continues putting tinsel on him*
Cas: *spits out drink* WHAT?!
(literally thought about this a few minutes ago)
*In the middle of a briefing*
Batman: Our target is a man by the name of Percy Dunn, he's the gangs runner and will be the most likely lead to the main operation.
Bart: Percy Dunn? The Lightning Thief.
Tim: That's Percy Jackson, Bart.
Bart: Barry, I like boys. And I'm in love with Ed!
Barry: *confused about confrontation* Okay, I'm glad you told me, Bart.
Wally: ooo, about that...
Barry: wait- what?
Wally: There's a reason I've been hanging out with Dick more often.
Barry: ...
Barry: Do any of you kids like girls?
Jenni: I do.
Barry: *tired sigh*
Hal "glowstick" Jordan: Is this a good time to tell the kids?
Molly Weasley, bless her, had started off making the ‘Weasley sweaters’ as a form of telling George and Fred apart. But they still switch their sweaters, cheeky bastards. After they got theirs, everyone wanted it, so that’s how the tradition is born. If you have a sweater, you’re official.
I want less of the “Oh they’ll probably never like me, I shouldn’t even attempt to confess” tropes and MORE “I’ve been sending you hints this entire time, dumbass! No person bends over to pick something up that often!” Tropes. Please.
Jason: I was wondering if you'd go with me to Bruce's wedding next week.
Bart: Are you asking me on a date next to a dead person.
Jason: You know I'm at my calmest while on the job. Is that a yes or a no?
where does it say bart has an alabama accent?
It never had to be said, the implications are all there. Bart was raised in Alabama with his mentor and father figure Max Crandall. To fit in better, Bart acclimated his speech patterns and accent to sound like everyone else in town as shown here.
In the first three Impulse comics, he has the usual speech of an american accent, or as far as we can tell, but Issue 4 and after he starts cutting off some words like the to th’ and suppose to ‘spose, you to ya— as minor examples. As well as using more generation acquitted terms like “outta” instead of out, “gotcha” instead of Got ya. Stuff like that that tell us he’s grown into using an accent.
Hope that helps!
I have been plunged into a bug world. I love bug but spider bug eat stick bug, how do I stop this.
