How Would You Rank The MCU Shows (From Most to Least Favorite)?
I recently asked my friend who loves Marvel how she would rank the MCU shows from most to least favorite. I don’t remember her exact ratings, but she mentioned that Moon Knight is really good and WandaVision is her least favorite because she thought the finale could’ve been better.
I haven’t finished all of them yet so I’m not going to write my ranking.
What is yours and what’s the reason?
Every Mentor/Mentee Relationship Ranked (Most to Least Fav)
1. All Might & Deku: They are one of the main relationships in MHA. I love that their dynamic is also a father-son one. My favorite moment is when All Might made Izuku a bento for him.
2. Hawks & Tokoyami: Their relationship was so interesting because their attitudes are different but mesh so well. I really liked that Tokoyami’s power grew when mentored by Hawks. Also, Tokoyami cried the first time when Hawks was grievously hurt and his spy status was revealed.
3. Gran Torino & Deku: I like their dynamic and Gran Torino helped Izuku level up his power. Deku incorporating Torino’s scarf was sweet but would’ve been better if the latter died (still shocked he didn’t die from Shigaraki’s attack).
4. Fat Gum, Kirishima, & Amajiki: Fat Gum’s jovial personality matches well with Kirishima while his supportive trait helped Amajiki grow. Fat Gum is also a fun character and he’s one of my favorite pro heroes.
5. Aizawa & Shinso: I was so happy that Shinso got a chance to try out the Hero Course. Aizawa giving Shinso a replica of his signature scarf and teaching him to be stealthy was great and upgraded Shinso’s hero potential. I wish they had more moments together.
6. Best Jeanist & Bakugo: I didn’t really care about this mentor/mentee relationship until it was implied that Bakugo wanted to wait and tell Jeanist his hero name first. Afterwards, I grew to really like it.
7. Sir Nighteye & Mirio: I liked how much they cared about each other. I teared up when Mirio cried after Nighteye’s goodbye and death. I think it would’ve been higher on the list if Nighteye didn’t die so soon.
8. Endeavor, Deku, Bakugo, & Shoto: I think I would’ve liked this group if more time was dedicated to the training. Shoto got better, but I don’t think Deku and Bakugo progressed that much compared to Todoroki.
9. Selkie & Tsuyu: Selkie’s a fun character and was a good mentor to Tsuyu. His louder personality and Tsuyu’s calmer one worked well. I liked the episodes he was in.
10. Ryuku, Uraraka, Tsuyu & Nejire: I like all these characters and their personalities meshed well. Ryuku seemed like a good mentor and hero but her character wasn’t that interesting.
11. Uraraka & Gunhead: Gunhead’s martial arts helped Uraraka throughout the series, but there is only one moment where their dynamic was shown. Gunhead seems like a nice guy though.
12. Midnight & Mina: I had no idea Midnight was Mina’s mentor until her death. I never really cared for Midnight so I was more angry with how her death was written than her actual death. I’m glad it led to Mina being a bit more prominent at least.
13. Uwabami, Momo, & Kendo: I was disappointed that Momo’s mentorship was this. I really wanted to see her potential grow, but all she did was the commercial. I didn’t care for the pro-hero and had to search up her name. The only good thing from this sequence is Momo and Kendo’s friendship. I understand that it wasn’t meant to show Stain’s point, but I’m disappointed that Momo didn’t progress like the other characters.
14. Manual & Iida: Manual was a nice guy and got along well with Iida.

Possums may not be the cutest animals like a dog or cat but all animals deserve equal respect.
*It can be anything like plot points, characters and their development.*
I want to write a S4 fic for the ‘17 series. I have ideas but I want to make sure I don’t miss anything that the series missed. I intend for my S4 fic to be the finale season for the series.
Thank you to anyone who responds and likes. 😁💕
1. A big reason why Splinter is dedicated to being a good father is because his father left his mother and him when he was younger. He doesn’t want his sons to ever feel abandoned and unloved like he did.
It would also be a reason why Splinter took the Turtles in immediately after meeting them.
2. A reason why Splinter lost his athletic build was because he went through a depressive state. He lost of his motivation and missed his past life. If the turtles didn’t stay with him, things would have turned for the worse.
Thoughts? 😊❤️
I’ve been publishing some stories on AO3 for like a year now, and I’m having trouble updating them. Not updating them gives me pressure because there are many people who like it and I feel bad for not updating for so long. I’m going through school and it’s consuming all my time. Also, I have trouble writing because of my perfectionism and belief that I’m not a good enough writer. I constantly compare myself to others, such as how long my story is and how many likes there are. It’s annoying and unhealthy.
I want to stop these habits and have a healthier mindset. Can I have some advice on how to do that please?
Can I also have advice on:
-What to do when you have writer’s block
-How to write the beginning of chapters
-How to stop striving so hard for perfection
Thank you to anyone who answers or likes! 😁💕
My Opinion: Having 2014 Gamora replace 2019 Gamora was a terrible choice.
The reason why I disliked this writing choice because all the character growth she got is gone. The rest of the Guardians have developed, while Gamora basically got a restart. Plus, Starmora(don’t know the official ship name) is basically left with a lovestruck Peter and a clueless Gamora.
I know that there will be a third Guardians movie, but it’s probably going to be slow since Gamora is going to need some development. Or they might skip over the development and not let us see it.
Anyway, I know this may sound harsh. But, sometimes, characters shouldn’t be brought back to life.
The reason why I ship Bushroot and Liquidator together is because plants do need water and saw bits of interaction in the show (Liquidator always carries Bushroot). I also think the relationship between the two is cute 🥰.
After rewatching Justice Ducks and reading some fics, I grew to adore Liquiroot. They are great together and I wish they had as much moments as Quackervolt.
Since there are rumors of the DW reboot coming(haven’t seen any recent articles if it’s confirmed), I’m wondering how the Fearsome Five will come to play if the creators continue with the ‘17 universe. I know Negaduck is around, but the Fearsome Four got sucked back into their dimension.
I’ve seen some theories around YouTube and Tumblr, here are the summaries:
1. Jim Starling/Negaduck is going to get the actors who played the Fearsome Four to join him.
2. Negaduck will bring the Fearsome Four back from their dimension.
3. New characters from the ‘17 universe will become the Fearsome Four and join Negaduck.
I think there are more but these theories stood out to me. My favorite one might be the first one because of how interesting it would be. Though, I think the third one would be best since every DW should have something new, like Negaduck. Plus, the change can give this version of Drake more personal enemies.
Comment your favorite theory or one you have. 😁❤️
Please respect other opinions. Thank you
I don’t love TMNT 2003.
Before watching this version, many fans said 2003 series was the best version. I didn’t have a lot of TMNT content to watch so I tried it(with some high expectations). I really liked it and had a fun time watching it, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best version- there isn’t a best version imo. I had some issues with it such as some intriguing moments from the show that wasn’t further explored like Leo’s first loss, and traumatic injuries from the Shredder and Donnie’s reaction of the alternative universe in Same As It Never Was. They were good but I needed more. Season 6 and 7 were not great and was tough to go through because of the sudden tone and art style change.
Though, it’s my second favorite version so far.
I like 2012 April.
I already made a post about this so I will shorten my explanation.
I have many reasons, but I’m going to say only two or three reasons since I don’t wanna bore you guys to death.
I don’t hate April because she is a victim of bad writing. TMNT 2012 has overall great writing, but there were some mistakes. Apritello is a big example.
When I ignore the bad moments, April is a really good character. Is she my favorite? No, but she had great potential.
Rise has one of the best family dynamics.
When I watch the show, I can tell that the Turtles love each other no matter what, which is a big thing in the fandom. I enjoyed their brotherly relationships since their was rarely an physical confrontation between them compared to how much 2012 Raph hits the other brothers. I don’t like hitting people, unless I need to protect myself, so I always felt a bit uncomfortable with all the hitting in TMNT 2012. I’m not saying TMNT 2012 had bad brother relationships, it’s my favorite because the raw moments the turtles had always warmed my heart. If it happened too often, the moments would have less of an impact.
I think TMNT 2003 went a bit downhill after season 4.
I feel like the storylines after season 4 were not as good. They focused mostly on mystical things, which is fine, but having so many versions of the Shredder was annoying for me. I know it might sound rude, but I think the show should have ended after season 4.
The 2003 Same As It Never Was storyline was not executed as greatly as it could be.
I feel so bad for critiquing the 2003 version since it looks like I don’t like the series. That’s not true, I really like the series and I applaud it for doing storylines like SAINW and Leo’s PTSD.
The reason why I don’t feel like SAINW didn’t live up to its full potential is because of the length of episodes it could have taken and how it didn’t seem to bother Donatello afterwards.
If SAINW was not added in the Ultimate Draco storyline, I think more episodes like an extra one would have been a better idea. The episode felt pretty rushed and I really wanted to learn more about the future like what happened to Casey, why Hun and Stockman betrayed Shredder, and the circumstances right before Future Donnie disappeared.
Leo’s storyline collided with Donnie’s potential character growth, which makes me upset. I adore Leo’s growth, but the other brothers had so much potential. Maybe some hints of Donnie’s fear of the future or the brothers being separated would have made up for it, but it didn’t happen. All the future Turtles’ deaths didn’t seem to affect Donnie like I thought it would.
2012 Fugitoid should have passed away.
I feel so bad for saying this, but for the better of the story, Fugitoid coming back to life was not a great choice. I love Honeycutt, but his sacrifice would have had a lot of impact on the reality of heroes dying. 2003 TMNT did this really well. Some good people died and it symbolized how dangerous and important it is to fight for what is right.
TMNT 2003 had too many characters, which ruined some development for more important ones.
I feel pretty bad for criticizing TMNT 2003 so much, but I still really like it. Every cartoon has its flaws and I’ve noticed more on TMNT 2003 since I’ve been binging it.
Anyway, the show has too many arcs and characters. Too much for any to gain development. Like the Rat King. I would’ve loved to see him more since he was so interesting. And the Monster from season 4. I was so upset when we didn’t get back to him. He deserved a happy ending, and his story would have been great development for Bishop, good or bad.
2012 Karai’s redemption arc was not handled that great.
To be honest, her arc was always a bit shaky to me. What surprised me most was how fast Karai’s mind was changed. All her life the Shredder was her father, but when almost once Splinter revealed the truth, she switched. I don’t think that would’ve happened so soon since, usually, kids that handle trauma like that kind of try to rationalize or try to make sense of it all. It would have been better if Karai was having this mental battle as she was working with the Shredder. She would be neutral though because she doesn’t want to hurt the Turtles and Splinter if what they said was true.
2012 Karai is overrated.
Don’t get me wrong, 2012 Karai is my favorite version, but she is not as developed as some people say.
Her arcs with finding the truth about everything and “curing” her of the mutation were not handled well, especially the latter. It took the last halves of season 2 and 3 to save her. Was I only one annoyed that the group looked for so long, only for the retro mutagen to not work? 😑
She’s on my list of wasted great characters along with April and Casey.
In the 2012 series, female characters are not as well written as male characters.
This is one of my complaints with the 2012 series. Most of the female characters were either reduced to love interests or severely sidelined. April and Karai are the biggest victims with this.
April had great potential to be a great character, but the love triangle ruined it. If they solved this plot line already, April’s character wouldn’t have suffered as much. Can’t determine if fans would like her more, but that’s my opinion.
With Karai, she was a love interest at first, but then this Splinter’s daughter plot line happened. Tbh, I think this decision was last minute because I hope to god the creators were not promoting brother/sister romantic relationships of any kind. Anyway, that story was going along until that wild goose chase trying to cure her from the mutation(which didn’t work). After that craziness, she was just sidelined and there was barely any Splinter/Karai moments(one of my biggest disappointments with the show). It would have been amazing to see her journey as the new Shredder, but I don’t blame the creators for that because they had a limited amount of episodes.
2012 April is not op.
Oof.. I’m gonna get so many disagrees on this. 😂
The reason I’m saying this is because of the and my definition of overpowered. Overpower: defeat with superior strength.
While rewatching the show, I looked closely through April’s fights, especially with her powers. Usually, overpowered people defeat supposedly stronger opponents without explanation.
April has rarely beaten someone stronger than her except once with TigerClaw, but with the Dragon’s Tail kick and a sneak attack, not her powers. She used her powers with the Shredder, Shini, Kavaxas, and many more enemies. She lost every time. The only time April won with her powers was against that evil Aeon and it was severely weak.
I would say April is not very close to the fighting level with the Turtles, especially with Raph and Leo. If they went full force on her, she would lose, even with her abilities.
2012 Leo has better characterization than 2003 Leo.
I really like 2003 Leo but he can be pretty bland. He only ever focused on training and meditation. He was also too perfect in some areas. However, S4 made him better in those areas.
With 2012 Leo, I like that he has more interests than training and has a reason why he wants to be the leader. He also messes up and doesn’t get the full swing of being the leader until half way through S2. For me, I think realistic character progression is very important for a show.
I like 2018 April’s design.
I admit, I was shocked when I learned that April’s race was changed, but I have no problems with it. There’s more diversity.
The only thing I don’t like about her design is her hairstyle. I don’t like the pigtails. Much preferred finale look with the high ponytail.
I forgot to say in my last reblog that I don’t think Liu Kang was at fault for everything that had gone wrong. Though he’s a god, Liu Kang is capable of making mistakes like a human. I do believe that there are events that can’t be changed such as the clans fighting, Tarkatans, etc. I actually wrote a theory post a while back on why I think Tarkatans couldn’t be erased. Basically, I believe Liu Kang tried getting rid of Tarkatans but couldn’t due to Time Keeper rules. So, he changed it into a disease that is pretty hard to contract. I think that Liu made a bad call giving Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi meaningless lives (as he put it in the story mode). I wish he specified his intentions with Shang and Quan-Chi’s life. It’s hard to tell if he gave them hard lives in hopes they’ll grow kinder or he gave them average lives and, unfortunately, he had no control with their lives getting worse (Quan-Chi being in the mines and Shang having a hard time making a living). Liu Kang definitely didn’t have a hand on Bi-Han’s betrayal because he didn’t expect the cyromancer to betray his brothers for his own interest. General Shao’s arrogance returned because of Shang’s manipulation.
I’m the type of fan who sometimes overanalyzes things, especially when things aren’t explicitly explained. Because of this, I question which occurrences in the New Era are due to Liu’s interference or if it's meant to happen (a canon event). For example, Liu Kang interfered in Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn and Quan-Chi’s lives to make sure they didn't become their previous selves. He made sure Mileena was Kitana’s blood sister and not a clone. He also had the Lin-Kuei act as Earthrealm’s defense instead of continuing their assassination system that was for their own interest. That’s Liu interference. A mix of Liu’s ability to manipulate outcomes and his cryptidness definitely leads to questioning what else he’s done, at least for me. Time is a very complex matter so it leads to more questions than answers. I hope in the next story there will be an explanation on Liu Kang’s limits and what he specifically did to create the timeline.
I don’t think I explained my reasoning on why I think having Kuai and Harumi together makes me feel like Kuai is kind of like “Hanzo with a different name” very well.
My main reason for saying this is because they got together during a Tower Ending instead of the story. It feels rushed to add this relationship in 90 seconds so it feels like the writers did this to fulfill a checklist (have a Scorpion and Harumi together). I think I would like this relationship if the expansion story focused on them and I see why and what made Harumi and Kuai love each other. They could be in the beginning of their relationship and seeing their dynamic would be enough. But they are married so it wouldn’t happen exactly like that. I guess I’m the type of person who only really feels for a ship if I see their growth. From what I remember, all that has been mentioned about their relationship is that they are childhood friends and have mutual respect for each other, which is a good starting point though not enough for me to feel anything other than neutral. I’m very for the “Show don’t Tell” idea of storytelling.
I am looking forward to seeing Harumi in the story and what you listed about her makes me interested in her as a character. I hope she’s a badass who will be added to the main roster in future games. We need more female fighters.
I see your points on why you think Hanzo is an adult, but I still think Hanzo is underage. Not by a lot though, I think he’s at least 16-17.
His arms are bigger than most teens but he’s been training and before that he had the minimum amount of skill to steal. Smoke stopped him because he’s trained longer but I am certain an average person would not defend themselves as well. In the image I added, you can see his muscles are smaller compared to the images you included. This shows that training and eating more (like you said Hanzo was starving before joining the Shirai-Ryu) were major reasons his muscles are larger, not age. What I’m trying to say is that it’s possible for a slightly underage guy to look like an adult due to physical fitness and eating right (I expect the Shirai-Ryu to have a healthy regiment). I think a time skip happened between my image and yours, but they are probably at least a few months to a year apart since Bi-Han doesn’t seem like the person who would wait very long. After all, he hunted Kuai and Tomas after Titan Shang Tsung was defeated.
Also we have to consider some things. Compared to a front view, a side view of muscles will look larger because of perspective (the second image you added proves it since his arms are slightly slimmer compared to the first image). Hanzo is flexing as well which makes muscles look larger. I also searched up what muscular guys (16-17 years old) look like and they look very close to Hanzo’s physique.
With his voice, I agree that it’s deep though guys in my high school sounded very similar when they were 16-17 because of puberty. A deep voice doesn’t always equal being an adult. Also, it hasn’t been confirmed if the voice actor that did those grunts will be Hanzo’s in future appearances. They could’ve been another va who’s voicing another character that did those grunts because NRS didn’t want to hire a new va just for grunts. I’m going to wait for the voice actor hired for Hanzo’s official appearance in the games to see if Hanzo is a late teen or adult.
I agree with you about adults being born shorts. Everyone grows at different rates and it doesn’t physically show someone’s maturity. I still somewhat considered it (though not as much as other points I mentioned) because the media usually use height to show age, especially in animated projects. Short adults or tall teens/kids are rarely shown unless for comedic reasons. I’m not saying Mortal Kombat is like that but I still keep it in mind in case they do use height = age formula.
Although I see your points on why you think Hanzo is an adult, I’m going to assume he’s underage until the game confirms his age or at least gives strong enough hints to make an educated guess.
Thank you for replying back to me! I appreciate your pov because it evolves mine at the same time. I enjoy our conversations. I apologize for taking the expected, life got a little hectic. Sorry for going into crazy specifics near the end. It was the only way I could think of to better explain my points. Also, I noticed in your tags that you don’t like being a Liu Kang apologist or something along those lines. I’m curious as to why.
(Spoiler Warning: Smoke’s Tower Ending is discussed)
I saw Smoke’s tower ending and was surprised to see Hanzo in the new timeline, let alone as a child. Although I’m open to how the writers will handle his character, I’m kind of disappointed that they went this route. When I learned that Kuai Liang would be Scorpion in the new timeline, I expected Hanzo to either not even exist or live a nice life with Harumi and their son. Instead, Kuai Liang is married to Harumi and Hanzo is much younger than them, which is so weird. I really hoped Hanzo would have a happy life and only be involved in the games through mentions at least. Also, this decision paints Liu Kang in a bad light. It’s no secret Liu Kang made sure his allies had a good life while making some of his enemies’ lives (Shang Tsung and Quan Chi) insignificant to prevent them from turning into their past counterparts. So, it makes me wonder why Liu Kang didn’t think to give Hanzo a good life or at least watch over him. It’s shown that Hanzo is a starving orphan forced to steal for essentials. I have no doubt Liu Kang knows about Hanzo’s past since he met the older and kinder Scorpion in MK11 and Raiden has disclosed Hanzo’s past in MK 9. Plus when Liu Kang fused with the Hourglass, he most likely became aware of what happened in MK9 and MKX. He gave Shao Kahn the chance to be a better man by being the Kingdom’s general- a risk that didn’t pay off, yet didn’t give Hanzo what he always desired- his wife, son, and the Shirai-Ryu. It feels so out of character for Liu Kang to not make sure Hanzo had a good chance at life.
If I had the opportunity to write Hanzo’s character, it would’ve been very different. I would’ve made him a former Lin Kuei member(he would be 5 or more years older than Bi-Han) who held the Scorpion title until he retired to Japan- where met Harumi and had their son. Hanzo would’ve also been the one to train Kuai Liang in his fire powers in the latter’s childhood. In his honor, Kuai would take the Scorpion mantle after Hanzo retires. Hanzo could also help Kuai and Smoke form the Shirai-Ryu but Harumi helps in recruiting and training while he takes care of their young son.
Though, I still hold some faith that NRS will write the new Hanzo well. I guess I’m just disappointed because I wanted Hanzo to finally live a happy life where his family stays alive. He was one of my favorites in the MK9-MK11 era so I can’t help but feel a connection towards him.
