Want to hear a hot take?
Today I decided to study for my driving license.
Turns out that it’s not different from studying for school and after 2 question I suddenly had a clean room, showered and even changed my bedsheets. What a surprise, right?
I came out to my mum and she didn’t really accept me fully as ftm trans. Please reblog this so I can see who actually accepts me and that I’m accepted and not alone.
i take that personally
daydreaming is often a coping mechanism for people who are often lonely or don’t receive a good amount of love in their life, so they make people inside their heads that will love them so they can feel the right amount of love.
dan’s extra as hell exit 😩
Normally I don’t like bringing this up, but: Tumblr is making it increasingly difficult for writers and artists to get their posts to show up in tags and searches, meaning that our fics and art are being exposed to fewer people.
Yes, it’s still possible to get posts to show up, but in the case of the search function, it’s only if they have no links - not even links to other Tumblr posts. For people like me who include links to other chapters in my fic so readers can get caught up on chapters they might miss, this is a huge problem. I basically have no choice but to include those links, or else I would make things massively inconvenient for my readers.
So why am I telling everyone this? Because this means reblogs are becoming more and more important to creators. With posts so difficult to find in searches and tags, reblogs are one of the few other ways for people to find new artists or writers.
You’re under no obligation to reblog my stuff, of course, but I want to put it out there why reblogs are so important to those of us who write/draw/create content.
(Also: While I’ve personally verified the stuff that’s going on with searches, I have no clue what’s going on with tags. Some of my stuff is showing up there, some isn’t, seemingly with little correlation to the links included. So tags might not be quite as strict, but they do seem to be less consistent.)
I’ve read „everything always works out in the bed“ and thought, well yeah thats true

You know what, mysterious internet person? I can’t imagine my generation in the workforce either. You know why? Because in order to get a job, we need work experience, but that’s only if we have time. We have to find the time to balance school, self care, a life, taking care of our families, and if we somehow manage to get a job, we have to balance that, as well. Right now, the North American school systems pressure literal children into conforming to the system. We are measured by our ability to fill in the correct bubble, and when a student struggles to understand like I do, despite trying as hard as they can, all the blame falls on them, and nothing gets done to help them.
The pressure to get good grades causes many high school students to develop very real mental health issues, and many more to break down in tears or similar because of stress. We have to get good grades so we can graduate and be put into crippling debt just to afford a post secondary education, and because so many students struggle like I do, those who can afford even a bit of it end up not meeting the requirements despite being qualified. Not to mention the raising prices for a higher level of education. While our parents were able to afford it with just a few months of working, all following generations have a debt that will last who knows how many years, because they are forced to take out loans. Because of students not being able to get into college or university, they are often overlooked when applying for jobs, which leads to still not having the money to get a post secondary education.
We are expected to live just like the older generations did. We are expected to have a good job, a nice house, and a good education by age 20, but while they had a simple 100m dash to get through, younger generations have to get through a full triathlon and two obstacle courses just to achieve one of those things. We must survive in a crippling economy where everyone is against us, and it isn’t because of ‘those pesky iPhones’.
Instead, it is caused by our elders who demand unconditional respect, while we have to earn it. We are treated like children who know nothing. We are raised to sit up and shut up, taking anything that’s thrown at us without a word, and if we try to speak up, we are labelled as rude and rebellious. We are taught that conforming to society’s views is the way to get through life, and we are too young to know who we are.
If we express anything out of the ordinary, it’s labeled as a phase, and our experiences are written off because we’re ‘too young’ to understand. We are too young know who we are, unless it’s part of society’s norms. We are too young to fight for what’s right. Too young for this, too young for that, and yet we are forced to grow up. We need to grow up because the world has gone to utter shit, and people are dying. We need to grow up because the ‘real world’ doesn’t suddenly appear after high school. We need to grow up because this world has political leaders that make all minorities fear for their lives. We need to grow up so we can get that education, so we can get that job, so we can have even a small chance at survival.
Random internet person, I have one last thing to say to you. Civilization is already collapsing. The chaos is now, and our struggle to survive is not our fault.
So you are saying 0% of the world should be billionaires?
Ugh it is, you know I live my lif elike this right now, I would like to be a teacher, but I dont wanna study, so I will finish my apprenticeship and then first of all go to Africa, after that I might work part time and start working on becoming a teacher. Or Ill just stay in Africa if I do like it there.
I'm kind of really not on board with spending the rest of my life in an office
like, the idea of waking up at 6 every day, working from 8 to 17 and then going home just to have dinner and go to bed, and occasionally taking a week off to take a vacation??? I hate it. That's not how I wanna live my life. It sound ask suffocating and I have no idea how I could ever be happy like that.
