Jobless Monday

Jobless Monday

Everyone listen to Jobless Monday by Mitski right now. I listened to it my entire time writing this.

Spoilers ahead so this is your warning here and now.

It was a bland day. The hustle and bustle of the classroom was no different than any other day. Midoriya stared out the window, letting the warm sun illuminate his freckles. Sighing, he turned back to his notebook, flipping through the pages he’s already flooded with analysis.

Their teacher, Mr.Sakuma, entered the room with an excited smile on his face. “Okay class, today we have a visitor today.”

Midoriya perked up, looking at the doorway where the mystery person was soon to enter. Whispers could be heard around him and everyone was equally excited. Well, everyone but Bakugo and his lackeys. They looked just as miserable as usual.

“You may come in now.”

A young adult walked into the room. The first thing Midoriya noticed was the individual was tall. He wore a nice outfit consisting of black slacks, a white button-up, a tan cardigan, and a black tie tucked underneath. He had no color where his pupils or iris were, leaving many to assume he was blind. His hair was black and well-maintained. He had on jewelry that stood out, jingling and sparkling in the sunlight.

“Hello everyone. My name is Furutani Yoringa. My quirk is future visions. It’s not too interesting of a name, but it is my quirk. I can see a person's future through their aura. And no, I am not blind,” revealed Furutani, getting straight to the point. His demeanor reminded Midoriya of himself: shy but straightforward.

Sakuma nodded, grinning at the introduction going well. “Yes, and today Mr.Furutani is kind enough to let us see our futures through his quirk. He will also be telling you about your auras. Would you like to explain how this all works?”

Midoriya was already scribbling everything down in his notebook. It may not be analysis of a hero, but this quirk was too good not to write down. No one seemed to notice or care, too busy wondering about their future.

“Thank you, sir. As you've heard, I have the ability to see people’s auras on command. A person's aura provides the energy for me to see into their future. Through hand contact, I will be able to see their future. This comes to me in a vision. Depending on the strength of a person's aura, not only will they be able to see their future, but multiple others as well,” elaborated Furutani, letting his eyes trail over the class before him. His eyes landed on Midoriya's and he couldn't help but smile upon seeing Midoriya writing notes on his quirk.

Furutani’s quirk was often overlooked. People wanted him to use it for their own benefit without wanting to actually understand it. He couldn't blame people. It was an exciting opportunity, but people were self-centered and greedy. In this single classroom, selfishness was seen in many. He understood those who were excited, but he could see the gleam in people’s eyes. Midoriya looked up at him in child-like wonder. His hand was flying, trying to write down everything Furutani said.

Furutani tore his eyes away from Midoriya to look at others in the classroom. “Now, while my quirk allows some to see their own future, the memories you'll have are not permanent. Within 24 hours, sometimes 48, if lucky, all memories of the visions will disappear. They disappear for me too. It is to prevent major shifts in the future. I only have so much power in what I can do to alter the future in the case of something bad happening.”

Furutani finished explaining and watched Midoriya finish up his notes with an accomplished grin. Furutani nodded to himself, glad to see Midoriya gathered everything. Sakuma then started the process, letting the eager students get their futures read.

Midoriya never once raised his hand. He remained patient and oddly hesitant to engage with Furutani. Furutani didn’t understand why. Midoriya had seemed so interested in the quirk, he couldn’t process the idea Midoriya didn’t want to take it out for a test run.

No one’s aura was strong enough to let the entire class see their future all at once. People had gone to the front of the classroom and whenever other people saw their future, it was only their close friends. Even then, it only happened to two students. Many were excited about their future, seemingly seeing something optimistic.

About half of the class had gone when Furutani had enough. He made his way towards the students rather than calling on them to approach him. Everyone was surprised, wondering what was going on. Furutani approached Midoriya and knelt down before his desk.

“I was trying so hard to be patient, but I can’t wait anymore. I’m dying to see your future. Your aura is practically blinding me,” chuckled Furutani, looking at Midoriya fondly.

Bakugo interjected, quick to shut that down. “Deku’s fucking quirkless, his future isn’t going to be anything worth dying over.”

The two other bullies snickered, making their own irrelevant remarks. Students in the room laughed, giggled, and teased Midoriya. Sakuma, the adult in charge, made no effort to stop the harassment. Furutani shot a targeted glare at Bakugo.

“My little sister is quirkless. Watch your mouth,” spat Furutani, his fists clenched.

The room went deathly silent, people shifting in their seats because of the uncomfortable atmosphere. Midoriya’s eyes widened upon hearing he wasn’t the only quirkless person. Sometimes he forgets he’s only one quirkless person in 20% of the global population. He was also surprised by how angry Furutani got. Midoriya couldn’t blame him. Everyone was practically insulting his younger sister. Besides, it was about time they got called out for their horrible behavior. It was a wonderful feeling to have someone on his side.

Furutani gave everyone a look of disgust before turning to Midoriya. “I’m deeply sorry on behalf of your quirkist peers. Ignoring them and back to what I was saying. May I see your future? If you’re uncomfortable with it, do not feel pressured to. I can just tell you about your aura.”

Midoriya shook his head, keeping all his focus on Furutani. “No need to apologize… it’s not your doing. You can look at my future, although I don’t think you’ll see much,” chuckled Midoriya sheepishly, keeping his head down and eyes up.

The two made their way to the front of the classroom and Furutani grinned. “You have a very impressive aura. You have some yellow, signaling your sunny and charismatic. You have a very magnetic personality.”

Many grew bored, yellow wasn’t anything special. Besides, those who had already seen their future that had a yellow aura had been told the same thing.

“Your aura also posses green. It shows self love, compassion, and forgiveness. You have an open heart. You also tend to be easily influenced by your environment.”

A couple of students perked up, surprised by the appearance of green considering how poorly he was treated. He was relatively forgiving and compassionate so there was no surprise there. They didn’t expect Midoriya to love himself enough for green to show up in his aura. A couple of students were also impressed he had two auras. While many in the class had more than one color, they expected Midoriya to be boring.

“You have a bit of pink. This means you live from the heart. You love hard. You are caring and kind, similar to green. Also, similar to green, you are receptive to love.”

Midoriya’s cheeks heated up. As Furutani stared at him and started listing off good qualities he had. It was a bit overwhelming to be indirectly complimented. The fact all of this was being said in front of people who didn’t like him made it even more overwhelming. Still, Midoriya did what he did best and listened.

People whispered, now understanding why Midoriya had stood out. He had three colors in his aura and they made him look like a saint. They assumed that was the reason why Midoriya's aura practically blinded Furutani.

Furutani’s smile grew, tilting his head to the side as he was excited to talk more about Midoriya. “You have a significant amount of purple, signaling you get a lot of attention. You have strong intuition and you are sensitive. With the amount of purple in your aura, you may have some natural psychic, empathic, or intuitive abilities. And I wasn’t exactly sure at first, but you have a bit of indigo in your aura which means you are very sensitive to other people’s well beings as you absorb their thoughts, feelings, and traumas of others. Your shade of indigo is dark and blends into your aura, but the darker the shade, the more sensitive you are.”

Midoriya nodded, understanding what Furutani was saying. Everything he’s been told is true to a degree. That was just the kind of person he was. It didn’t matter if he couldn’t hold the emotional baggage of others. People needed help and he’d do anything to help them feel okay again. He was very familiar with the feelings of loneliness.

People were gawking at Midoriya, unable to comprehend how he had so many colors. The moment Furutani mentioned Midoriya could have some abilities when it came to reading people. They wondered if that was why he still thought Bakugo was amazing. Now they would forever wonder what was going through his head.

“With that, it brings us to our last color. White. I didn’t need your aura to see this, but you have a quick mind. Although white signals you have a tendency for perfectionism and you contain nervous energy. To see it in your aura would mean you have a strong sense of connection to something larger than yourself.”

Midoriya nodded, knowing there were a couple of things that the last part could imply. He was connected to something much larger than himself. Either way, he needed something to lift him up, and hopefully, his future would do just that. People were now eager to see what Midoriya’s future held. His aura was already much more complex than theirs. From what Furutani said, Midoriya naturally stood out more to him because of how strong his aura was.

"Now, let's see that future," chuckled Furutani.

Midoriya let his mind go blank. He felt eyes on him and not once did he meet anyone's gaze. Swallowing the lump that formed in his throat, he let his arms do the work. There was a pair of eyes he couldn't shake off. They burned, smoldering hot. Ruby red eyes held the observant focus of a chess player.

Bakugo shifted in his seat, leaning forward to get a good look. His eyes focused on the entirety of Midoriya. His hand was in his pocket, fumbling with the thin piece of cardstock, laminated with plastic. The colorful display of All Might was on the card tucked away in the past of his heart. Midoriya would forever be his weakness and Bakugo was really feeling it.

Furutani held out his hands, palms facing the ceiling. "Now or never. I'm sure many will be able to see your future."

Midoriya bit his lip, looking at the hands with unease. Even as his hands hovered over Furutani's, he was hesitating. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and connected his hands with Furutani's.

Everyone in the room gasped upon being transported to a blank plane. There they were taken through the shocking events that occurred in Midoriya's future.

Midoriya meets All Might and talks to him on numerous occasions

Midoriya gets a quirk from All Might

Midoriya gets into UA's hero course

Midoriya has many friends

Midoriya gets scarily strong

Midoriya gets into tons of battles (Midoriya and Uraraka against Iida and Bakugo, USJ attack, Midoriya against Shinso, Midoriya against Todoroki, Midoriya and Iida and Todoroki against Stain the hero killer, Midoriya against Muscular)

Bakugo apologizes

U.A. is in an uproar with his return

A second war breaks out (Bakugo dies but is brought back to life later) Midoriya is on his own for the most part during the battle after losing his shit and seeing everyone pretty much dead

The war is over and everyone is in recovery

Everything flies by super fast, but everyone can recall the majority of Midoriya's future. Suddenly everything comes to a stop with a calm moment. It gives them whiplash from the rush of horrific events they had just seen. Music reaches everyone's ears. It's soft and peaceful. The sun is out and peeking out between the branches of the trees. They swore they were going crazy when they felt the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze on their skin.

Future Izuku is smiling brightly, in the arms of Katsuki as they dance to the music. Their bodies are covered in scars that made many teens wince. The grass is fluffy and light. They are holding one another close as the music guides their bodies. Katsuki dips Izuku slightly, supporting Izuku by his waist. Izuku lets out a breathless laugh before sighing softly. Izuku's cheeks flush as he meets Katsuki halfway for a kiss. It was short and sweet, a tender kiss that held burning passion. Being pulled up to his feet, Izuku rested his head on Katsuki's chest to listen to his heartbeat. Katsuki rests his head on top of Izuku's, rocking them back and forth.

"I love you, Izuku," mumbled Katsuki, his cheeks bright red.

"I love you too, Katsuki," whispered Izuku, squeezing Katsuki ever so slightly tighter.

Just like that, everyone was kicked out of the vision. The room was silent, no one able to comprehend what they had just seen. Midoriya stood in the front, tears dripping from his eyes. Clearly, in a state of disbelief, Izuku raises a hand to his cheek. The saltwater tears stuck to his fingers as his hand moved to his heart.

Midoriya stepped backward and for a moment, his eyes locked with Bakugo. Bakugo was flushed, looking at Midoriya with wide, dumbfounded eyes. Midoriya shook his head and cleared his throat. "Excuse me."

Midoriya quickly left the classroom, closing the sliding door behind him. He reached the school stairwell when his legs gave out. Crouching on the steps, Midoriya gripped the railing till his knuckles turned white. Midoriya felt the meltdown take over as he sobbed. With a hand covering his mouth to hush his cries, Midoriya let his heart hurt.

Midoriya's belongings remained out on the surface of the now vacant desk. People stared at the door that Midoriya vanished behind. Furutani's jaw hung low. He had never experienced anything similar to what Midoriya had just put him through. Well, it wasn't like he remembered anything he had seen before, but nonetheless. A quirk that could be passed on? A war between heroes and villains? The symbol of peace retiring in less than a year?

Bakugo threw himself out of his desk and stormed over to Midoriya's. In a split second, he snatched Midoriya's bookbag and then his notebook. The sliding door slammed shut when Bakugo disappeared as well. The class remained silent, looking at one another with dazed or startled expressions.

The one student who never spoke before was the one to break the silence. She fixed her glasses and rubbed her forehead. "What the fuck?"

Bakugo went on a search for Midoriya, wanting to keep him from doing anything stupid. He found Midoriya crying on the stairwell and moved before Midoriya. Crouching to be at Midoriya's height, Bakugo shoved Midoriya's knee.

"Deku."

Midoriya yelped, falling back on his butt. Thankfully the step above caught his fall. Much to Bakugo's expectations, tears littered Midoriya's face. Sighing, he extended out Midoriya's belongings. "Figured you would be coming back."

Midoriya sniffed, embarrassed Bakugo saw him mid-breakdown. His face was probably bright red, his eyes were most likely puffy, and he had snot dripping past his chin. Midoriya rummaged through his bag to pull out some tissues and clean his face. "Thank you Kacchan."

"Shut up," grunted Bakugo, watching Midoriya try and fix himself.

Midoriya sat in silence for a moment, seemingly contemplating something. Bakugo noticed and called him out on it. "You're thinking too loud. Say what you want to say-?"

"How?" murmured Midoriya, cutting Bakugo off. Midoriya's grip on the bundle of tissues in his hand tightened. Midoriya looked up, locking his eyes with Bakugo. "How could you ever look at me in that way? How could you ever not hate me?"

Bakugo felt his breathing hitch, staring at Midoriya like an idiot. His mouth opened and closed in attempts to give a response, but words never came out. His fists clenched in his lap, knowing there was no answer he could give.

"It's the future. We won't know until it happens," sighed Bakugo, his voice unnaturally soft and calm.

Midoriya shook his head, tearing his eyes away from Bakugo's. "Part of me refuses to believe that's my future. Seems more like a sick joke to get my hopes up."

Bakugo watched Midoriya's lip tremble as that sadness mixed with anger. He couldn't tell if Midoriya's anger was directed at him, Furutani, or at himself. Part of himself couldn't believe it either. The future sounded like hell, but he never envisioned himself looking so carefree. He never would've believed that there was the possibility he'd dance and kiss Midoriya under the sun, listening to tooth-rottenly sweet music. But Bakugo had no choice but to believe it. It was the future.

"Maybe it is... but in one to two days it won't matter," reminded Bakugo, never once looking away from Midoriya.

"You're right," noted Midoriya before chuckling to himself. "You're always right, aren't you?"

Bakugo swallowed the lump in his throat, having to swallow his pride. For some reason, it didn't bug him considering he was doing this before Midoriya in private. "No, I'm not. It's clear we figure some shit out in the future. I was the one apologizing after all."

Midoriya's eyes trailed up to Bakugo and let his shoulders sag. Letting himself relax, Midoriya felt his eyes burn as tears formed again. "How are we going to do this? Sure everything works out in the end, but I don't think I can handle seeing you die."

"I'm not weak, Deku. Don't look down on me. Common, let's go," huffed Bakugo, rising to his feet and holding out a hand for Midoriya.

Midoriya looked up, his heart pounding in his chest. This was the first time the two had actually had some sort of conversation since they were still little kids. Taking Bakugo's hand, he let himself get pulled back onto his feet. Bakugo's grip never changed. It was just as secure and tight as always. Something about that made Midoriya smile.

"Where are we going?" questioned Midoriya, preferring to know where he was being dragged off to.

"Under the light of day or whatever sappy shit you'd like to hear," grumbled Bakugo, guiding them to the roof.

Midoriya smiled, feeling confident enough to mess around with Bakugo. "I'd prefer, out in the sun, something basic."

Bakugo shot a glare at Midoriya only to see a smug look on Midoriya's face. Scoffing he looked away, struggling to suppress his smile. "Well aren't you just a little shit?"

Midoriya looked up at the sky, finding no bit in Bakugo's insult. "Well, in the future I'll be your little shit, so stop complaining."

Bakugo stiffened momentarily, before giving Midoriya's hand a light squeeze. He had nothing to say to that, leaving silence to be the unspoken words. Midoriya knew what Bakugo meant in that small gesture with the silence.

~

Izuku held Katsuki tightly in the peace the end of the war brought. Katsuki held Izuku just as tight. They came out on top, even if no one walked away from the war a winner. They were surrounded by each other and their friends. They could never be more grateful for that. It didn't matter where they'd be as long as they were living life together.

It’s Kind Of Diabolical

UA was a dream school that people all around the world tried to get into. Not only was it ranked number one in all of Japan, but the school was undefeated in all categories. Whatever category an individual could think of Dean Nezu did everything in his power to make the school the best in said category.

The 3% acceptance rate showed how picky the admissions team was.

Izuku Midoriya was considered one of the smartest students in the school. There were only two people that ranked higher than him in the entire building across all majors. Izuku was in a medical and pharmaceutical concentration of Biology and Chemistry. The double major was hell on earth, but he topped that off with a physics and psychology minor.

No one in the school, including the teachers, understood how he managed his time juggling countless classes all at once. Still, Izuku loved to learn, and he put his full effort into completing every class to near perfection. He worked very closely with his advisors Toshinori Yagi and Aizawa Shota. They complimented each other and it helped Izuku a lot with moving forward and making decisions based on their advice.

Everyone was always talking about Izuku and every move he made. Still, Izuku had something that he kept to himself. Izuku was a professional athlete.

The only reason no one knew was because he didn’t play for the college, making it significantly easier for him to keep it a secret. Well, to a degree he could hide it. He competed in high level competitions, and many were non-profit to raise awareness for important causes. His high ranking often led him to speaking in interviews about the cause.

Izuku was an angel on earth.

Katsuki Bakugo was average in school. He was naturally smart and put as little effort into his schoolwork as possible. Katsuki was a business major with two minors. One was in marketing and another in accounting. As long as he got an A in the class, he didn’t try to push himself harder. His main focus was on sports. After all, he was the captain of the football team and spent most of his free time training.

The school's meal plan was heavily abused by Katsuki as he was often seen inhaling food with his friends whenever he wasn’t in the gym or on the field. The training and consistent meal plan helped him greatly. Katsuki was well built with muscles that made half of the campus jealous and the other half lovesick.

Despite all the attention Katsuki got, he remained single. He appreciated his fans to a degree, but never engaged with them. He enjoyed the chase and the rush he got from the attention. Still, he loved playing football, and he loved his teammates. He’d never let a relationship, or other outside influences distract him.

That was until his best friend, also the vice-captain of the football team, decided it was time to flip his life upside down.

“Who’s that talking to Coach Toshinori?” asked Kaminari excitedly upon seeing a cute boy appear on the fields.

Katsuki didn’t bother looking, not interested in hearing gossip about some stranger. Kirishima on the other hand perked up when he noticed who Kaminari was talking about. “That’s Midoriya! He’s insane.”

Kirishima’s statement caught the attention of Katsuki and the rest of the team. Sero recognized Izuku as well and commented, “Yeah, isn’t he doing a double major and double minor?”

“That’s him! Mina told me that he’s already been accepted by every high end medical school he’s applied to,” revealed Kirishima, happy to say his girlfriend's name every chance he got.

Kaminari stared at Izuku from afar, letting his mouth catch flies. Once he let a couple of moments pass by, he snapped back into focus and smirked. “So, he’s smart and successful. Wait, how does Mina know him?”

“Mutual friends, apparently Midoriya is super popular. Almost everyone knows him, so I’m surprised you don’t,” responded Kirishima slowly, letting his gaze return to Izuku.

Toshinori flashed a wide smile at Izuku, ruffling the fluffy locks of green hair. The excited voices of the duo faintly reached the group's ears. Tetsutetsu chuckled to himself before jerking a thumb over to where they were standing. “Looks like he just got accepted to another school.”

Katsuki’s gaze was fierce, but he couldn’t stop the foreign rushing of his heart. There was something about this smartass chatting with his coach that irritated Katsuki. No matter how much he wanted to roll his eyes and redirect the conversation, he knew Izuku would be on his mind.

Fate had funny ways of bringing destined lovers together.

Three weeks was all it took for Katsuki cave into obsession. He hadn’t realized just how big of a figure Izuku had been in the school. After that fateful day, it seemed that anytime he’d be in the food hall or was hanging out with his friends, he’d hear chatter about the mysterious genius.

All alone in his room with thirty minutes until his bedtime, Katsuki started digging. He found some online interviews with Izuku talking about the charities he’s worked with. Then Katsuki found his social media account that talked about plans for his future, study tips, and a plethora of random school-related things.

It only took a minute of scrolling for Katsuki to realize this wasn’t Izuku’s personal account. No matter how much he dug, he couldn’t find any pictures of Izuku at these apparent parties or hangouts with his friends that Mina claimed he had.

The following morning came around and like clockwork, Izuku would become a part of his life.

The football team huddled around Coach Toshinori when he clapped his hands together with his usual blinding smile. “Look alive! As you all know, the season is starting to pick up and now more than ever, we need to engage with the public. We are the best school in all of Japan and we need to maintain that status. So, I want you to take to social media and hold mini interviews with people in busy areas!”

Katsuki shrugged, not bothered by the assignment. It wasn’t like he had any intention of being the one doing the interviewing. If he partnered with Kirishima who was more of a people person, then he could just record the interviews.

“Let’s do this Bakugo!” cheered Kirishima loudly, letting his manly persona take over.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes, tightening his grip on his phone. “Shut up Shitty Hair! Do you want to scare away everyone with your screaming?”

Rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, Kirishima turned back to where people were moving in and out of shops. “Oops, you’re right. Sorry man.”

Huffing, Katsuki prepared his phone to record as Kirishima asked individuals if they’d be willing to be interviewed. Most of the time it took one look at Kirishima and Bakugo for people to say yes. It may have been the duo’s good looks, or their UA letter jackets, but people were fast to do an interview.

They had already held short interviews with ten people by the time their interest had fully worn off. Kirishima groaned, crashing on a nearby bench. “Why does Coach want us to interview fifteen people? We are going to have way too much footage,” noted Kirishima as he watched people pass by.

“Stop complaining, we are almost finished,” grumbled Katsuki, scrolling through the countless videos on his phone.

“Easy for you to say! You haven’t talked to one person,” scoffed Kirishima, failing at guilt tripping Katsuki.

Raising a brow with an unimpressed expression, Katsuki shrugged it off. “Not my problem.”

Kirishima spotted a familiar face in the crowd and his face lit up like a little kid on their birthday. “No way! Is that Midoriya? What are the odds we see him here?”

Katsuki was already handing his phone to Kirishima, not bothering to look back or wait for his friend. “Record me.”

The eagerness Katsuki displayed to interview Izuku let Kirishima know everything. Katsuki had a fat crush on Izuku. He’d never pass up a moment to record Katsuki making a fool of himself. Moments like these were rare and Kirishima usually failed to capture the moment in a picture or video.

Once the redhead caught up to where Katsuki had greeted Izuku, he caught the end of their exchange of pleasantries.

Izuku flashed a soft smile at Katsuki. “It’s nice to meet you in person! Toshinori tells me a lot about you.”

Kirishima was already recording with a bright smile. “Hi Midoriya!”

Turning his head to look at Kirishima, Izuku’s eyes lit up when he realized it was Kirishima. “Oh! Kirishima, hi! It’s been so long since we’ve last talked!”

“It really has been! I’ve been so busy with balancing school and football I haven’t been going to the parties lately,” sighed Kirishima defeatedly. He knew Izuku wasn't one to be petty but still, he felt bad about not keeping in touch with someone he enjoyed talking to.

“Nonsense! Anyway, Bakugo, you mentioned something about interviewing me?” inquired Izuku, returning to the initial reason he was approached by the hottest guy on campus.

Katsuki took a step closer to Izuku after letting his eyes trail all over Izuku’s body when the pretty boy had been distracted. Clearing his throat, trying to fight the nerves that flooded his body when he caught sight of muscular legs, Katsuki nodded.

“Yes, the football team is doing interviews with the public so we can post stupid shit to remind everyone why UA is the best.”

Perking up at the explanation of what was happening, Izuku eagerly agreed,” Of course. I’m more than happy to support UA and our football team!”

The three traveled to a more open area of the shopping center. The sun was warm on their skin and there was a gentle breeze. As Izuku and Katsuki waited for Kirishima to give them the go ahead to start the interview, Kirishima swore the scene looked like something out of a romcom movie. The school jock and nerd running into each other and having their worlds collide on a beautiful day with a cinematic breeze twirling their hair around.

Izuku was wearing a white tee shirt with the words “running shirt” on it. He paired the simple tee shirt with some black gym shorts that had white accents on the side seam. Both of his knees were strapped up with yellow kinesiology knee tape, paired with royal blue compression socks. The final addition to the horrifically discolored outfit was a pair of expensive red running sneakers.

Katsuki was in some baggy black pants, expensive white sneakers, and wore his UA football letter jacket.

Their outfits dramatically contrasted each other, but it wasn’t an eyesore like Kirishima thought it would be. Despite all of that, Kirishima cut the two’s ogling short. “Start anytime!”

Without missing a beat, Katsuki went off-script and asked a personal question. “What happened to your leg?”

Both Kirishima and Izuku seemed a bit taken aback by the question, but they quickly recovered. Kirishima knew he was going to use this as blackmail on Katsuki for the foreseeable future. Izuku on the other hand didn’t know what to expect from the interview and was happy to talk to the notorious football captain.

“I do a lot of running. A lot of cardio,” revealed Izuku, smiling shyly at Katsuki as he fiddled with the earbuds he had taken out.

Since he was a person with no filter, Katsuki dove straight into sly flirting. “Were you on your knees by any chance?”

“I actually was,” answered Izuku quickly, a bit surprised Katsuki asked the question. Still, he wasn’t too surprised Katsuki knew what to ask considering he was an athlete too.

Katsuki didn’t falter despite Izuku clearly not understanding what he meant with that question. “Oh. I picked the right guy for the interview,” commented Katsuki charmingly, his eyes looking at Izuku as if he were a meal to devour.

With the single comment, Izuku picked up on what Katsuki was indirectly saying and let his eyes widen and let out a breathless laugh. Katsuki knew he wanted to see that look and hear that laugh every day for the rest of his life. He wasn’t one to believe in love at first sight, but truly Izuku had him captivated. Izuku felt the exact same way.

He got me, hook, line, and sinker.

“How is your day going?” asked Katsuki calmly, reeling back into interviewing Izuku despite him not asking about UA or things about football.

Izuku pouted, looking at the hustle and bustle of the people around. “Pretty slow”

Seeing an opening to be mischievous again, Katsuki leaned closer. “Do you want me to make it faster?”

Perking up at the suggestive question, Izuku was ready to show he was just as interested. Using all the confidence training his teachers have put him through, Izuku tempted, “How would you do that?”

“How do you want me to do that?” fired back Katsuki with pure enjoyment. There was a little voice in the back of his head, wondering if the man before him was being a little shit to mess with him or if he was truly interested.

While Katsuki was overthinking everything, Izuku tilted his head down, looking up at Katsuki through his eyelashes with a shy smile. It was a very pointed look, and Katsuki felt his heart swoon. Katsuki was ready to bite those chubby cheeks peppered with the most beautiful freckles. Still, he was a college student and imagined pinning Izuku against his locker in the vacant locker room, and making those perfect lips spread to let out a scream of pleasure.

“I’m going to have to cut this video short,” half-joked Katsuki, struggling to keep his mind focused on anything but asking Izuku to date him in less than polite words.

The loud, almost manic laughter erupted from Izuku again as the implications of Katsuki’s words sank in. He was infatuated with Katsuki. There was something so thrilling about being the one that caught the attention of the untouchable football captain. In the back of his mind, he was scared this was all some elaborate prank to humiliate him, but he had to trust that Toshinori wasn’t lying about Katsuki being a good person.

It wasn’t uncommon to hear all his friends talking about Katsuki. It was close to impossible not to hear the name when football was such a major sport. Katsuki was the captain and the team's best player. Besides, Izuku often visits the games.

The only problem was he never got a good look at the blonde when their classes had no overlap and Katsuki was nothing more than a small blob down on the field.

Katsuki recalled Kirishima and Izuku’s short exchange. Kirishima mentioned something about not going to as many parties due to his busy schedule. If Kirishima equated not going to parties to a complete loss of communication, he wondered just how often Izuku attended them. “Do you ever go out to parties?”

“Maybe sometimes,” admitted Izuku slowly, raising a brow to gauge just what Katsuki’s aim was. While Izuku enjoyed some dirty talk, he had no intention of being a sex toy. He had standards and he hoped that Katsuki wasn’t just a closeted player.

“Do you ever see frat boys?” questioned Katsuki quickly, feeling anxiety bubble in his gut. He didn’t want Izuku to have his eyes on loser extras. Katsuki knew that some of the frat boys were persistent and relentless when it came to sexual endeavors. Jealousy was an ugly feeling, and Katsuki didn’t like being in a competition where he could easily lose.

Izuku stilled, a bit offended Katsuki was asking about his potential romantic interests in frat boys. How could Katsuki think he had no standards? Sure, Izuku was popular and flirty when it counted, but he didn’t think he gave off the impression he’d settle for a frat boy.

Truth be told, Izuku had a fear of drinking and drugs. He was a control freak after all.

In the end he’d be lying if he said he didn’t notice some of the frat boys at the parties he attended. No matter how many people tried to hide the parties from the frat boys, they managed to find and get into the private parties. “I do see some frat boys. I don’t go for frat boys though.”

Katsuki immediately relaxed and soon realized he had been making a lot of assumptions. Sure, he was gay, but he couldn’t just assume anyone he was interested in was. Yet, he saw Izuku standing across the field on one fateful day and decided the nerd was his. Still, he didn’t have to worry about some horny men getting their hands on Izuku.

With his skin practically itching from anticipation, Katsuki knew he needed to get a better confirmation of Izuku’s sexuality. Their not-so-subtle flirting wasn’t enough. “So, what kind of guys do you go for?”

“Literally any other kind of guy,” chuckled Izuku, feeling his cheeks heat up a bit. It was clear that Katsuki was interested in him no matter what the intentions behind that interest were. Who could blame him for being flattered that Katsuki was giving him attention in a world filled with gorgeous individuals who matched Katsuki’s interests better.

Even if he was a perfect mix of calculated and impulsive, Katsuki was quick to gather the courage and make it clear where he stood. “Like football players?”

The message was direct and Izuku’s face bloomed the most stunning shade of pink Katsuki had ever seen. The shade complimented his hair and made his freckles more apparent. Still, Izuku raised a hand to tuck a stray curl behind his ear. Ignoring the adrenaline pumping in his veins, he smiled confidently. “I’ve never gone for a football player before but…”

All composure was lost, and Katsuki’s buffer vanished. “Do you like dick?”

That was all it took for Izuku to burst out into laughter. Even if Katsuki only wanted him for his body, which meant a hard rejection to an only physical relationship, Izuku had no intention of living a life without Katsuki in it. The vulgarity in Katsuki’s speech and the lack of regret in everything he said was something Izuku quickly admired. “Uh yeah.”

Katsuki couldn’t stop the grin that spread across his face, unable to believe that with the dumpster fire their conversation was, Izuku was still laughing and engaged. If his last question wasn’t enough to drive Izuku away, he might as well try to ask, “Can I get your number?”

Not even a second passed when Izuku threw his head back in laughter once more, fully captivated by Katsuki. He enjoyed the directness after all the suggestive language. Waving a hand, Izuku took a deep breath before shrugging and nodding his head. “Yeah, I guess you can get my number.”

Suddenly Katsuki felt like an elementary schooler. He remembered watching all his friends ask girls out and being surprised when they accepted. Now he understood how they felt at that moment. It was a pure, unadulterated sense of belonging and acceptance.

Despite the train wreck he presented himself to be, Izuku wanted to stick around.

“Really?”

“Yeah,” confirmed Izuku as he laughed, raising his hand, messing with his phone to pull up contacts, and offering it to Katsuki.

Kirishima stood behind the camera, wearing a disgusted expression. Izuku and Katsuki were made for each other. He couldn’t imagine any other person in the world still giving their number to Katsuki after being aggressively asked if they liked dick.

Whatever rose-tinted glasses Izuku was wearing, Kirishima wanted a pair too.

Katsuki calmly put in his digits and his name. He knew Izuku knew his name, but still, he liked the feeling of making himself known to Izuku. As soon as Katsuki went to hand Izuku his phone, a calendar notification pinged.

“Sorry, I really must go! I’ll text you, Katsuki. And Kirishima, it was a pleasure seeing you again.”

Kirishima and Katsuki both waved to Izuku and sadly said their goodbyes. They were impressed that Izuku was able to spare them a minute in the first place with how intense his schedule must be.

Izuku walked away with a pep in his step. Kirishima had been busy sending the video to himself when Katsuki’s voice reached his ears against his will.

“I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave,” sighed Katsuki, clearly admiring Izuku’s ass-sets.

Kirishima cringed, staring at Katsuki as if he’d been betrayed. “Bro, I love you… but I’m going to need you to stop talking.”

Katsuki gave Kirishima a swift punch to the arm before snatching his phone back. “Never speak of this to anyone. Let’s grab lunch… fuck interviewing anyone else.”

More than happy to stop where they were, Kirishima started walking to the one restaurant nearby he knew they both enjoyed. Katsuki smiled at his phone when he almost immediately got a text from Izuku.

Katsuki wasn’t planning on letting Izuku go after having a taste.

Come on In, the Waters is Fine

Morning sunshine. Soft blankets overlapping. Tender touches of love affirmation. Red eyes that are as vibrant as rubies. Blond hair that is soft to the touch. Strong muscles that served as a fortress of unwavering safety.

Izuku Midoriya was not a morning person. Don’t be mistaken, he does wake up early every day nonetheless. The chill of the morning and the struggle to go on that morning run was a daily battle. Then Katsuki Bakugo flipped Izuku’s relationship with the morning upside down like a sunny-side-up egg.

The first time Izuku woke up with Katsuki by his side, he cried. The scene was so surreal. It surpassed perfection. Izuku was overwhelmed by the simplicity of waking up beside the love of his life. The warm palms and static fingertips that grazed his waist and pulled him close were addicting.

Izuku would do the same thing every morning. Katsuki would remain asleep with his mind in a foreign state of peace. Izuku would kiss Katsuki’s forehead softly. Rubbing Katsuki’s cheek softly, Izuku would admire his beauty. Izuku would snuggle closer and bask in the warmth capturing him.

The chill of the morning didn’t phase Izuku anymore. Warm and fulfilling, breakfast would be prepared and eaten when he returned. Izuku and Katsuki would sit together and have a private, domestic moment in the sanctuary their home was.

Izuku would be showered in love and reciprocate the affection without a second thought.

Katsuki adored Izuku. Katsuki couldn't imagine a world without Izuku in it. Even if he could, he'd rather die than live a life without him. After everything they'd been through, they constantly tend to each other.

Their patrols went smoothly, but hero work was harsh on the body no matter how easy their shift was. On this particular day, Izuku stayed in their agency building to catch up on paperwork while Katsuki patroled.

They usually patrolled together, but Izuku knew that if he didn't start on the pile of paperwork that was accumulating, he'd be drowning soon enough. He'd rather keep his shifts as short as possible. Besides, he didn't mind the boring work when he could listen to music or talk with employees.

Katsuki had stopped a robbery, helped a lost kid, and captured two wanted villains by the end of his shift. Izuku finished all the paperwork and fixed up their schedule to accommodate some meetings and interviews.

When their front door clicked behind them, Izuku took Katsuki by the hand and led him to the bathroom. While Katsuki was busy stripping off his hero suit, Izuku was starting the bath.

With one hand, Katsuki could count the times they bathed together. It wasn't that they thought it was gross or they didn't want to do it together, but their bathtub wasn't the biggest for two grown men.

Izuku stripped and the two slipped into the water. After soaking for a bit, Katsuki reached for the shampoo, but Izuku softly took it from his grasp.

"Let me take care of you tonight," breathed Izuku in a soft voice that never failed to turn Katsuki into putty.

Izuku lathered his hands up with shampoo, smiling sweetly at Katsuki who wore an innocent look of surprise. Izuku reached his hands out and raked his fingers through Katsuki's soft, pointy locks of blond hair.

Katsuki couldn't help but close his eyes and lean into the touch. Izuku's scared hands and crooked fingers worked magic for Katsuki's scalp. He couldn't even kid himself, he felt like he was floating.

Izuku then started washing away sweat and grime off of Katsuki, gently kissing the scars that littered his body. This process carried on for minutes. Izuku’s touch was tender as he truly took the time to treasure and care for the love of his life.

Katsuki had never been one to get overwhelmed or to cry, but he couldn't help it. The tears came before he could even process it. Izuku remained silent, simply wiping away the tears or kissing them away.

It was in these moments that the two knew they were soulmates. No words needed to be said. They could read each other like a book. They understood what one another's needs were and they were more than willing to meet the standards.

As Izuku began rinsing Katsuki's body, he also massaged his sweet spots. Katsuki's hero gear put a lot of pressure on his shoulders. It didn't help that to aim his quirk, it wore down his shoulders and back.

Katsuki grunted occasionally whenever Izuku successfully got out a knot of muscle. Izuku would chuckle and move to the next area. This cycle continued until the warm water grew cold.

After a quick second bath for Izuku to get cleaned and for them to rinse off, they finally dried off. Katsuki wrapped Izuku up in his arms and kissed him all over his face. Izuku's soft laughter echoed through their bedroom.

"I love you so fucking much Izuku."

"I love you too, Katsuki."

Riding a Wave That Never Breaks

Manga spoilers and Dark themes

Sometimes you can’t escape your inner demons no matter how much time has passed. Four amazing years may pass, but that darkness is only one storm away.

Midoriya struggled a lot with depression growing up. Despite having a loving mother and a safe home environment, the torture he suffered through the day was too much.

Midoriya loved everything about the hero world and how he could escape into fantastic fantasies. He was constantly diving deep, imagining alternate universes where he was respected by his peers. Midoriya craved positive attention or for the hollow feeling inside him to vanish.

On the days Midoriya didn’t have school, he’d curl up in his bed and never move. Unless his mother sweetly called him for dinner or suggested some bonding time, the day was spent wasting away underneath a comforter.

Midoriya was lucky to have met Toshinori. The man gave Midoriya a sense of purpose that he had been missing. Toshinori saw something in Midoriya that Midoriya never saw in himself. It was like he was reborn, suddenly showered in affection, and given a list of things to do to better himself.

Midoriya trained his mind and body every day. Midoriya was eating healthy and filling meals three times a day. By the end of the day, Midoriya was ready to sleep. With getting proper sleep, intake of nutrients, and producing endorphins through intense training, Midoriya was feeling much better.

Despite the upward climb, there were times Midoriya gave into the gloom. He’d skip showering, not study, ignore the tangles in his hair, never change out his uniform at the end of the day, sleep the day away, not sleep at all, and a plethora of other things he did when things were getting bad.

Neglecting his needs was one thing, but he’d harm himself in more direct ways. He never thought much about it, simply seeing it as a way to relieve the tension in his head and the tightness in his chest. He did it in places he knew would never see the light of day.

In a short two years, Midoriya was seventeen and dealing with mountains of trauma he didn’t know how to digest. Midoriya was surrounded by people who brought out the best in him, but he could feel himself slipping.

“I’m not hungry, sorry.”

“I really needed to catch up on sleep.”

“Can we reschedule? I’m so sorry something came up.”

“Sorry, I’m a bit behind on my studies.”

“Maybe some other time?”

Midoriya slowly withdrew himself from his peers. With the door locked, lights off, and the silence of the soundproof walls made it easy for the sickening sweet voice in the back of his mind to grow louder.

“Was this all worth it?”

“You served your purpose, you aren’t needed anymore.”

“They probably are happy you aren’t around as much.”

“That sounds like so much work.”

“You really can’t amount to anything.”

“A lazy hero is good for nothing.”

With an empty stomach and an ache in his heart, Midoriya closed his eyes and slept the dark thoughts away. When an alarm broke him out of his nightmare, he slept through his usual morning run.

It didn’t take long for everyone to notice something was off. Todoroki, worried and unsure of what to do in this situation, practically fed Midoriya lunch, not giving him a chance to skip a meal. If he had to guilt-trip Midoriya into it he would.

“I got this just for you,” revealed Todoroki, extending out the warm bowl of katsudon.

Midoriya would softly smile, sitting next to his best friend and enjoying the warm meal. The perfect crunch of the breading and the juiciness of the pork nearly brought him to tears. It didn’t matter what meal it was, Midoriya would swallow every last bite to respect his friend's kindness.

Bakugo talked with Toshinori and Aizawa, knowing that they may no longer be Midoriya’s teachers, but they were parental figures. He knew something was wrong and this was bigger than him and his classmates. Aizawa and Toshinori weren’t constants in Midoriya’s life, but their value remained. Their assistance would mean so much more than the nineteen people who are constantly around him.

During the war, Midoriya never once reached out for help when he was working himself to death. If Midoriya was experiencing something that was troubling him or he couldn’t save himself from whatever he was going through, Bakugo would pull him out.

It seemed that Toshinori and Aizawa had a hunch that something like what was happening would happen soon enough. Aizawa knew very well that the trauma Midoriya refused to acknowledge would come back tenfold.

Toshinori knew the psychological damage he experienced over the years by dealing with his demons. Being the number one hero and having the entire world on his shoulders was a burden he wouldn’t wish on anyone. That’s why he originally gave Midoriya the quirk. He believed he was simply passing on a powerful quirk.

When it came out that All for One was not dead and that he had a successor, Toshinori felt guilt consume him. He put Midoriya in a situation far worse than the one he’d lived through.

Midoriya watched nearly all the people he cared about die and/or be on the brink of death. Midoriya watched thousands of innocent people die, unable to do anything. There was an evil far worse than any the world had seen before and Midoriya had to face it himself.

Midoriya had to shove all his emotions deep down as he was forced to see the corpse of someone he cherished dearly. Midoriya was a kid but wasn't in a position to handle the situation as one.

Midoriya was struggling with the trauma of the war and the pressure he was put under. Midoriya would forever be scarred from the responsibility placed in his hand. Yet, deep down, Midoriya was ashamed of the itch he had to be important.

There was this craving for chaos and the fight to the death. Suddenly nothing was going on and the feeling of worthlessness settled in. Midoriya didn't want innocent people to die again or for the world to be in danger, but he felt like something was missing without the danger.

The guilt of missing something so horrible killed him more than what he was put through. Maybe they were interconnected in some way but, in Midoriya's mind, wanting it to happen again was a different trauma response than his episode of depression.

Sometimes, Midoriya's brain filled itself with noise when the world was too quiet. The earth-shattering sounds of the battle and his scream mixing with the screams of the rest of the world would haunt him. The rare spots on his wall where there was no All Might merchandise, Midoriya's eyes would focus on the white wall and let the rest of his room fade away.

Midoriya could fall into a staring contest with his wall while standing, sitting, or lying down. There were no limits and he usually would catch himself doing it whenever he was in the security of his room. These moments of pure disassociation could last from anywhere of a couple of seconds to over an hour.

It was Saturday night and Bakugo was going to drag Midoriya down to study with the class. He figured surrounding him with everyone would help get him out of his head a bit. He always liked to think he knew Midoriya the best, but he didn't know the first thing to do to help Midoriya snap out of whatever mental decline he was trapped in.

"Izuku, I'm coming in," announced Bakugo, hand already turning the door handle.

Bakugo didn't think much about not receiving any response and opened the door. Midoriya was on his bed, lying on his side as he stared at his wall motionlessly.

"Nerd?"

Midoriya didn't seem to notice Bakugo or even signal he heard Bakugo address him. Bakugo started panicking, worried Midoriya was unresponsive. Bakugo started looking over Midoriya after dropping to his knees beside the bed.

"Shit, Izuku. Look at me!" begged Bakugo, reaching to check for a pulse. He cursed himself for not paying closer attention to Midoriya's health. It took seconds for Bakugo to feel the steady thumping of Midoriya's pulse under his fingers.

Midoriya blinked, feeling the warm touch and wanting to lean into it. His vision of the wall was blocked by Bakugo's worried expression and he couldn't help but feel like everything was okay for this split second in time.

Tears started falling and Midoriya couldn't find the strength in himself to stop. Midoriya let his whole body shake with each sob he let rip through his body. He hated feeling so hopeless and feeling stuck in such a horrible mindset. It was a scary feeling to have no control over.

Bakugo didn't need to hear anything to know that Midoriya needed him at that moment. Bakugo reached for Midoriya's hand and took it securely in his own before resting his forehead against Midoriya's. Rough and crooked fingers intertwined and squeezed soft and powerful fingers.

"I don't know what to do Kacchan," wept Midoriya, feeling safe to express himself.

Bakugo remained quiet momentarily before letting his gut do the talking. "You don't have to know what to do all the time. Sometimes life sucks and you have to let others make it less shitty."

Midoriya cried harder, pulling out his other hand to gently wrap it against Bakugo's wrist. "I can't do this anymore."

"And you don't have to. I'm here. If you can't handle burdens on your own, I'm here. Let me help, Izuku," stressed Bakugo, brushing Midoriya's bangs out of his forehead. "I'll be there to save you every time you need a hero."

Midoriya felt like the room was no longer caving in on him and that the world finally had air to spare. His grip on Bakugo momentarily tightened before he took a deep breath. There was something so incredible about Bakugo and how he never failed to be Midoriya's anchor. Bakugo never failed to reach his hand out to lift Midoriya out of the pit he was trapped in.

“Let’s go take a shower, grab you something to eat, and how about we go study? You don’t need to be alone and if you get overwhelmed we can ditch,” guided Bakugo as he removed his one hand from Midoriya’s bangs to poke his freckles.

Still feeling vulnerable, Midoriya let out a shaky breath. “Yeah, can you just stay here with me for a bit?”

Bakugo rose from his uncomfortable position and crashed beside Midoriya on his bed. “You could ask me to destroy the world and I’d do it.”

Midoriya smiled, feeling his cheeks heat up by the powerful confession. “You sure know how to make a boy feel special.”

“After existing in a world without you… I never wanted to experience it again.”

Midoriya suddenly realized he had something he could use to anchor himself down. He remembered seeing Bakugo lying in the crumbling field of injured heroes. He remembered the dread that filled him upon seeing the sickeningly beautiful sight of Bakugo’s peaceful resting expression. The crushing horror of seeing his unbreathing, bloodied body would forever haunt his dreams.

Why would he give up a life where Bakugo was right next to him?

“I never want to experience it either,” professed Midoriya, feeling a warmth fill his chest, seeing the scars that littered Bakugo’s body. Those scars were proof that this boy before him would always defy and twist fate to come back to him.

The downward spiral ended when he was forced to remember every wonderful thing he had to live for. He had to live for Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, Eri, Aizawa, Toshinori, his mother, and the surplus of people whom he never wanted to live without.

Overcoming depression wasn’t easy and his recovery wasn’t going to be fast. There would be those moments when the exhaustion that filled him was too much or the pressure of outside expectations killed his appetite and kept him up at night. The battle was a lot easier being surrounded by people who never failed to bring a smile to his face.

Freshly cleaned and fed, Midoriya had his bookbag filled with unfinished homework and study guides. Bakugo was right next to him, wearing an accomplished grin as he plopped down next to Midoriya. The excited greetings of his classmates washed away any bits of anxiety that he may have had left.

“Ready to get this study game on?” questioned Kirishima happily upon seeing two of his best buds appear together.

“Yeah! I’ll admit I’m a bit behind,” admitted Midoriya meekly.

Iida seemed to not care about the fact that Midoriya got behind on schoolwork and smiled warmly. “Well let’s get you caught up!”

Midoriya eagerly nodded, feeling the buzz of his classmate's excitement rub off on him. They were all gathered together to study, but Midoriya couldn’t help but be overjoyed to be with them at that moment.

Things would be okay.

Orange Guitar

Many students in Midoriya’s class took an interest in music. Jiro knew how to play more than one instrument, not including her singing. Bakugo played the drums. Kaminari and Tokoyami played guitar. Momo was familiar with the keyboard. Midoriya found it awesome so many people had a little hobby on the side.

Midoriya had a point in his life where he had an endless list of hobbies. When he was at his lowest in middle school, he filled the void with countless activities. Midoriya did martial arts, wrote his own stories (mainly All Might fanfiction), hero analysis (quirk analysis), skateboarding, ice shaking, ran a hero blog, at-home yoga, and the list continued. Inko watched her son purse many different activities fondly, letting him figure out what he wanted to do with his life.

Even though Midoriya was seen as weak and pathetic, he was incredible at everything he did. Midoriya won ice skating competitions. Midoriya learned difficult skateboarding tricks. His hero blog blew up and was extremely popular. His hero analysis spanned over 13 books. Midoriya trained his body to handle more complex and taunting positions and poses in his yoga programs. Midoriya bumped up levels steadily in his martial art classes. Midoriya’s writing because popular as well, often being seen on accounts that recommended fan fiction.

Midoriya put one hundred and ten percent into everything he did. He wanted to prove to himself he wasn’t worthless. He wanted to prove that he was just as capable as anyone else to do any basic hobby. While being physical was always a good way for him to produce endorphins and boost his mood, Midoriya found one specific hobby capturing his attention the most.

Guitar.

There was something so exhilarating about it all. The freedom to play anything and everything. The sensation of memorizing which hand positions made which chords. The callous that grew on his fingers from constant playing. It was addictive. Midoriya would often head to a studio to mess around and get most of his practice in. Living in an apartment with thin walls meant playing instruments was forbidden.

Midoriya learned most things on his own and gained enough revenue from his competition winnings to buy his own guitar. It was a sexy instrument. As much as Midoriya hated to admit it, everything about the guitar reminded him of Bakugo. He remained in denial even as he paid for it in cash. Despite the sight of the guitar, Midoriya was in love with it for many other reasons.

Now with Midoriya being in U.A. and having all his time dedicated to hero work, he dropped almost all of his hobbies. He applied his ice skating training to his hero training, but didn’t skate and didn’t complete. Midoriya didn’t keep up with martial arts, focusing more on gymnastic-type moves in his fighting style. Midoriya stopped writing fan fiction, focusing mainly on his hero analysis. Midoriya stopped skateboarding, replacing that time with running and extra training.

Whenever class 1-A split up into the two groups for the school festival, Midoriya was dying to reveal he played guitar. Besides, he wasn’t coordinated when it came to dancing. It feel awkward to him unlike how he felt with executing fighting moves. Despite his desire to be a part of the band, he was thrown into the larger crowd of dancers. Thankfully, he was able to learn a dance routine very well because of his experience as an ice skater. It was still two completely different things, but using prior knowledge never failed to give him a push.

Time flew by and the war was over, the world was healing, and life somewhat went back to normal. Midoriya finally had the biggest weight fall off his shoulders and he could think about the little things again. They were in their second year with new dorm building and new room arrangements. It was no surprise Midoriya was on the same floor as Todoroki and Katsuki. He wasn’t complaining, he didn’t have to worry about Aoyama’s stalking or Mineta’s advances.

Midoriya also changed a lot because of the war. His room still had the big All Might poster from Sir Nighteye and couple figures, but almost everything else was packed away. He’d have a room dedicated to merchandise whenever he buys a house or rents and apartment, but keeping it in a safe place was the best for him.

One thing he did bring to the dorms from his room back at his mom’s apartment was his guitar. He did want to pick it back up. He had found himself longing for the callouses on his fingers to be caused by excessive guitar playing. The only awkward thing is he would probably disturb the people sleeping above him, below him, and beside him.

Midoriya looked at his guitar at a loss on how to play it in the dorm. He wasn’t about to rent out a studio so he could play it. Suddenly he realized he could just use headphones and felt like slapping himself in the face. Grabbing his amp and connecting it to his guitar, Midoriya then took his headphones and connected them to the amp. He could practice in peace.

As time passed, Midoriya found he finally felt more connected to his hobby. He purchased a customized Eraserhead guitar strap. Midoriya also had a Dynamite sticker, a Shoto sticker and an All Might sticker. Accessorizing is always fun. Finally the guitar was spunked-up a bit.

It was the weekend, more specifically the one day a week they got off at U.A. High. No one had any plans and it was supposed to be a relaxing day. Midoriya looked at his guitar and knew he was going to perfect the one cover he was working on. Midoriya moved out onto the small balcony they had with his guitar. The sun was warm and the breeze was chilling.

Midoriya had his amp on the lowest setting. Loud enough for him to hear, but still quiet enough to not disturb anyone. It was a different experience to not have his playing blast out his ear drums. Midoriya took a deep breath and started playing, enjoying himself.

The song she chose to play was fairly popular, but not in Japan. He heard the tune on social media. He followed a lot of heroes outside of Japan, since he was a fanboy. It was an edit of an American hero. The beautiful melody captured Midoriya’s attention. The song was Midoriya’s new obsession. It didn’t take long for him to master the song so he could play it without even looking at his finger placement.

Midoriya was able to play the bass part on his phone so he’d have the complete sound. He was no singer and he was far from good at English, but he could hum to his heart’s content. He swayed, letting the cords vibrate in his chest.

Todoroki and Bakugo were planning on doing some studying since exams were coming up. They decided inviting Midoriya would make sense as he was incredibly smart. They all had their own weak points and strong points. One persons strength could make up for the others weakness. They all equaled each other out.

They were used to walking right into his room unannounced so when Todoroki opened the door the two stilled at the sound of music. They made their way into the room and saw Midoriya out of his balcony with the guitar. He was humming, gently dancing to the music with closed eyes. He was clearly lost in the music, by the way he was acting.

Suddenly he stopped humming and started playing the best part of the song. His head bounced as he played, a joyful smile on his lips as he played. Midoriya mindlessly bounced to the beat with closed eyes. The sun glowed against his skin, mesmerizing, Bakugo and Todoroki.

The two had seen everything that Midoriya had gone through. Watching him dance and play the guitar with a real smile made their hearts pound in their chests.

Bakugo and Todoroki were knocked out of their daze with a shout. Midoriya had turned around and spotted the two, eyes wide. Initially his eyes had been filled with fear, but settled into relief. Danger sense hadn’t gone off so he didn’t expect anyone to magically be in the room.

“Kacchan. Shoto. Did I disturb you?” questioned Midoriya, worried he had been too loud.

Todoroki shook his head, still speechless. Bakugo was able to get over his shock and approached Midoriya. “Hell no. Where did you learn to play?”

Midoriya smiled, setting his guitar down and turning off the amp. “I mean I could play since I was in middle school, but I didn’t start playing seriously until lately.”

“Well you’re really good. You should’ve played for the school festival,” complimented Todoroki, sitting down on Midoriya’s bed.

Midoriya blushed, putting his equipment away. “Thank you. I’m still a bit rusty, but I hope to improve.”

Bakugo nodded, crossing his arms with an evil smirk. “Good, because I wanna see if you can keep up with my drumming.”

“Really!” gasped Midoriya, his jaw falling with excited eyes.

Todoroki stepped in before Bakugo barked out some nonsensical nonsense. “I’d like to listen to you play a lot more.”

Midoriya crashed onto the bed beside Todoroki, turning his head to his best friend. “Feel free to just come in and listen. I usually have my headphones on, but I can start playing out loud if you like it enough.”

Todoroki nodded, closing his eyes as he felt comfortable enough to nap. Midoriya smiled at the quiet confirmation and turned to Bakugo. “Kacchan, what did you need?”

“Studying,” stated Bakugo shortly, crushing Midoriya with his weight.

Midoriya sighed happily, snuggling into his side. “Okay. Exams are coming up pretty soon.”

The three all remained cuddled together, now enjoying the breeze coming in from Midoriya’s balcony. It was in moments like these that solidified the trio’s bond. They had already been inseparable, but in moments like these, nothing could break the unconditional love they had for one another.

They Did What?

Shinsou and Midoriya had noticeably gotten closer. No one knew what happened to get Shinsou to suddenly open up to Midoriya and accept his kindness. All they knew was something happened between the two and it triggered them to become friends.

Midoriya and Shinsou would occasionally disappear during lunch. That drew some attention and even stirred up some rumors about their relationship. Some believed they simply wandered off to eat lunch together or to spend time alone to talk. Other people believed they were dating and wanted to keep it a secret so they’d sneak off to be lovey-dovey.

Uraraka couldn’t lie, she got a little nervous at the thought of Midoriya being in a relationship. If he was, she'd accept it. It would take her a while to move on but she’d never risk losing Midoriya because of jealousy. Iida didn’t care at all, as long as it didn’t interfere with Midoriya's learning and training, then there was nothing wrong. Tsuyu was, of course, rooting Midoriya on. She was one of the people who believed Midoriya and Shinsou were dating or moving towards that. Todoroki was confused, he didn’t understand his jealousy and he didn’t know what to do with it. He planned on talking to Midoriya about it, he would be the most understanding out of the group about this. Besides, Midoriya helped him before, he could help Todoroki again.

Shinsou and Midoriya were the talk of the hero department and the general department. The General Department knew better than to stick their noses into Shinsou’s affairs. Class 1-A was another story, they had no boundaries and were ignorant when it came to knowing when to keep out of other people's business. Hence, why Midoriya considered himself the number one secret keeper in the class.

Midoriya managed to keep his relationship with All Might secret and the secret of his quirk even though it was so obvious. Like, it was kinda embarrassing. Although, passing down quirks was unheard of, and they don’t even really know about the depth of All for One and One for All. Either way, they didn’t even really care to understand Midoriya’s quirk, and they didn’t even flash an eye at the fact he shattered his bones every time he used it. No one knew anything about his past, such as the bullying. No one knew that Bakugo, the rising star of U.A., had bullied him. No one knew about the fact he never met his father and has no relationship with him. No one knows what All Might had said to him. No one knows he fought the sludge villain to save his back-stabbing childhood friend. No one knew anything. All they knew were the basics and Midoriya’s mannerisms. Yet, secrets only stay secret for so long when you tell someone them.

Todoroki finished up his soba quickly, quicker than usual. He stood up and turned to the others, “I’ll be taking my leave. I’m going to go look for Midoriya.”

Uraraka looked up at the dual-colored boy and immediately agreed to join him, “I’ll come too! I’ve been wondering where Midoriya disappears off to.”

Tsuyu grinned, shooting back her chair, turning her attention to Iida, “Let’s go Iida! I’ve been dying to know if the rumors are true! Besides, Midoriya deserves a relationship, and Shinsou is definitely worthy in my opinion.”

Iida shot up out of his seat after finishing up what was left on the tray, “Let’s go. I would like to congratulate Midoriya on his relationship status with Shinsou!”

Their lunch shift was 50 minutes and they had around 20 minutes remaining. It offered them a nice chunk of time to look for Midoriya. They stopped and checked 1-A, and then 1-C only to find they weren’t there. They then checked the rooftop where Midoriya often was found thinking or studying. He wasn’t there oddly enough. The only spot they could think of where food was allowed was the library. Making their way into the library there were a couple of students there, all studying or just relaxing. As soon as they were about to give up they heard speaking. Peeping through the openings between books, they spotted them.

Midoriya was aggressively flipping through pages frustrated. Shinsou was scanning through books and sitting them on a pile for them to list.

“Why are they covering this up? Everything from All for One to discrimination on the quirkless is being covered up! It doesn’t make sense!” ranted Midoriya, growing frustrated.

Shinsou stood up, staring at Midoriya with a soft stare. “Well, when we become heroes, we could use our platform to finally spread information.”

Midoriya bit his lip, closing the book. “See, uhm. We may not have enough time for that. All for One can literally attack at any given moment, and the public needs to be aware of him! He’s the mastermind behind all villains and there will be a panic. It just doesn’t make sense on why they-.”

Shinsou waved his hand in front of Midoriya’s face. “Hello? You good?”

Midoriya slapped the book closed, rubbing his face. “I’m an idiot. I just realized why they are covering up that he’s still alive, but what I don’t get is why they refuse to tell the story of how he rose to power.”

Shinsou paused, thinking to himself before an idea struck him. “His power was associated with the sudden appearances of quirks, right? So since there is the discrimination of the quirkless currently they try to not talk about him since he was the one stealing people’s quirks from them?”

Midoriya nodded, picking out a book. “Yes. All Might had told me when quirk started to appear some people couldn’t handle it, and it resulted in people shutting down and becoming zombies.”

Shinsou raised a brow, asking a question softly. “Why are you and All Might so close? Like— no offense but why would he sit down and tell you about hidden information?”

“Well, as you know I was a late bloomer. Quirkless up until entrance exams. All Might basically trained me after an incident we encountered together. Between you and me, I think All Might is preparing to fight All for One. I think he’s preparing for me to realize his career is coming to an end,” revealed Midoriya, his shoulders sagging as he finally vented.

“That’s... rough. I mean! It’s amazing he trained you and all but, now you’re in the middle of all of this. How long have you been keeping all of this to yourself?” questioned Shinsou, slowly worried for Midoriya’s mental health.

Midoriya grinned, sitting back down. “I never told anyone anything before. I trust you Shinsou. I know I can relate to you about discrimination and bullying. I know you’ll be an incredible hero and you’ve worked so hard for everything.”

Shinsou leaned on Midoriya, offering some comfort. “Still, you’re incredible. You managed to rise to the top with only what a measly 3 or four months of having a quirk? You literally shatter your bones and don’t complain while others in your class act like babies.”

“I think everyone in my class is great! They all have their strong suits built differently! They’ve all had different experiences and they all have different needs. Since I was physically abused growing up, my pain tolerance is a lot higher than others.”

Shinsou narrowed his eyes, taking Midoriya’s hand and tightly gripping it in a protective manner, “I swear—.”

Midoriya squeezed back, opening his mouth and then closing it. Taking a small breath he finally spoke out. “Kacchan once told me back in junior high... to take a swan dive off the roof of the building. He said hopefully I’d get a quirk in my next life. I then got attacked by a sludge villain under a bridge when heading home from school. I almost died, but right as I was about to tap out All Might saved me. We ended up on the roof of a building and All Might told me I’d never be a hero without a quirk. I was so close to jumping, I had stood there for maybe ten minutes contemplating whether I was going to jump or not. I chose not to. I loved my mother too much to hurt her. Yet, Bakugo was attacked by the sludge villain. No heroes on-site even tried to help. So I did. Quirkless little Deku saving a boy who would beat me up and belittle me every second of every day. The hero’s shunned me while they praised Bakugo. Yet, All Might caught me on my way home. My bravery and impulse won him to train me, to help me become the best hero in his image.”

Shinsou suddenly turned Midoriya to face him, before Midoriya could even process what was happening. Cold lips pressed against his warm ones, covered in drugstore chapstick. Yet, Midoriya leaned into the kiss with a relaxed smile, his hands creeping up to wrap around Shinsou’s neck. Shinsou rested his hands on Midoriya’s hips, pulling him closer. After a couple more seconds they pulled back. Midoriya flushed a light pink.

Midoriya was too happy to be flustered or panicked. Midoriya felt so loved, flooded with passion and new excitement. His high school sweetheart, his first boyfriend, and his first relationship: Shinsou. Shinsou seemed just as happy, content with the minty flavor left on his lips.

“Midoriya, I’m so grateful you're here right now. I’m so thankful to feel your touch and taste your lips covered in mint chapstick. You’re so badass and powerful and smart and optimistic and I don’t think All Might could’ve chosen a better person to train. I have vowed to hate Bakugo even more now, and I definitely will be brainwashing All Might into doing the chicken dance the next time I see him,” joked Shinsou, a tired smile on his face.

Midoriya, picking up some books while rising to his feet, sighed, “I’m glad I didn’t give up. Your lips are cold… it sent lightening bolts down my spine in the best way possible. You're very hardworking Shinsou! Getting into UA is an incredible achievement! Besides, you’ll most definitely be in Class 1-A in no time. Mineta is definitely going to get expelled for his disgusting behavior sooner or later.”

Shinsou remained quiet for a while, trying to remember who Mineta was. “Oh, is he the one who sexually harasses any girl that breaths right?”

“Yeah, I may or may not have punted him once in the hallway because he was going to take a pic under Momo and Jiro’s skirt while they were distracted.”

“Nice! Well, we can train together until that happens! Thanks again for helping me strengthen my quirk.”

“You're welcome! It’s fun to try and break out of it. Sadly I’m just too talented for you to lock me in.”

“Yeah! I don’t even know how you access your quirk in the first place!”

“I have people that live in my head and kinda just send all the power I possess through me till I’m so overwhelmed that I release it through my fingers. Thankfully I don’t break them anymore.”

“Woah— wait, what? You’re like... possessed? Cool, do you think…like… I could get some and have them use my quirk to send me to sleep?”

“Alright Mr. Insomniac. Why don’t we try and get you a sleeping bag? It seems to get Aizawa through the day,” laughed Midoriya, putting the books away and slipping a couple into his bookbag.

“A... sleeping bag?”

“Yeah! And we can get you a purple one!”

“You know what? Alright. It’s worth a shot.”

“Yes! We can go after my personal training with All Might tonight!”

“Sweet, let’s head to the cafeteria! I wanna buy some green tea. Tea somehow keeps me awake more than coffee does.”

Shinsou hummed, taking some books himself. “I’m probably going to get a cold coffee. I really enjoy my double shot of expresso.”

Midoriya sighed walking out of the aisle with Shinsou, content, “You really are crazy Hitoshi!”

The two passed by, Midoriya going deathly still as he stared back at his friends that all looked at him with horrified stares.

Shinsou mutters under his breath only to look at Midoriya and notice him panicking and dissociating. “Shit. God, why can’t you respect people’s privacy. I knew 1-A was known for being noses but jeez you really take the cake.”

Quickly guiding Midoriya out of the library, Shinsou left Midoriya’s four closest friends crouched by the bookshelf to their thoughts and guilt.

Tsuyu finally broke the silence with an uncalled for statement that was what everyone was thinking, “Fuck.”

Any Luck on the Boyfriend Front?

“I like you.”

“Huh?”

“I like you!”

“Yeah right, I’m not interested in your games.”

“What?”

“Are you deaf? I don’t care about what you have to say Deku.”

“Ah, okay. I understand.”

It had taken Midoriya months to gather the courage to confess to Bakugo. A part of him always knew he loved Bakugo, but he never had the chance to address how he felt.

They had gotten much closer throughout their time at U.A. High and Midoriya had reason to believe Bakugo felt the same way. Unfortunately, Midoriya was mistaken. Bakugo made it very clear he wasn’t interested in Midoriya and that whatever Midoriya wanted to express wasn’t important.

The wonder duo’s once strong and seemingly unbreakable bond was broken.

In the days following Midoriya’s rejection, he didn’t bother speaking to Bakugo. While he still had an unshakable crush on Bakugo, he couldn’t bring himself to talk or be around him. It hurt too much.

The entire class instantly noticed the shift in Midoriya’s mood and mannerisms. Usually, Midoriya was happily calling out to Bakugo and walking around with him. Mina was the first to rush over and ask Midoriya what was happening on day three.

“Are you okay?” asked Mina worriedly, trying to keep her voice to a hush.

Midoriya took a moment to smile, and the action looked like it hurt. Following his physical reaction, it took a couple more seconds for him to respond. Through gritted teeth, Midoriya answered, “I’ve never been better.”

Mina grabbed Midoriya by the arm and dragged him out of the room. “Cut the shit, let’s talk.”

Uraraka got up and quickly followed the two outside of the classroom. Mina closed the door behind them and grabbed Midoriya’s shoulders.

“Spill.”

“Wait, what’s happening,” questioned Uraraka quickly. She didn’t want to assume what Mina was telling Midoriya to talk about, but she hoped it was about his concerning behavior.

“Midoriya here is acting weird and is avoiding Bakugo. I’m asking what happened,” informed Mina, looking at Uraraka before turning back to Midoriya.

“It’s nothing guys, really,” sighed Midoriya, waving his hands.

Uraraka and Mina gave each other an unimpressed glance before pointing their stare at Midoriya. Midoriya wilted at their expression. Uraraka called her best friend out quickly. “Nothing my butt. You look like a kicked puppy. I’m worried about you.”

“Yeah, we just want to know what’s upsetting you,” agreed Mina, keeping her voice hushed and gentle. She’s been more careful around Midoriya after the war.

Midoriya stared at the ground with such intensity it scared the two. Midoriya felt his lip wobble as the dam of tears behind his eyes was prepared to break. Despite doing his best to compose himself and act like everything was okay, he couldn’t.

He wasn’t okay. He wanted to cry. He felt embarrassed, ashamed, and undesirable. If Bakugo had politely rejected Midoriya, that would have been easier to bounce back from, but that wasn’t the case.

Bakugo spat on Midoriya’s heart. While Midoriya knew Bakugo could be harsh on his bad days, it was still extremely out of character for him.

In the middle of the hallway, Midoriya crumbled. His shoulders trembled as he let out loud sobs he tried to muffle. Uraraka jumped at the suddenness of Midoriya’s breakdown.

Mina swallowed hard as her frown deepened. Guilt started eating her up, worried she overstepped a boundary and hurt Midoriya.

Uraraka pulled Midoriya into a hug, not bothering to waste words when it was clear Midoriya wasn’t going to hear them anyway. Mina on the other hand began to guide Midoriya and Uraraka away from the classroom for more privacy.

Kirishima, who had been on the other side of the door, turned around with a pale face. The rest of the class who were waiting for Kirishima to fill them in all felt their expressions fall when they saw his face. It was clear Midoriya wasn’t doing okay, and Kirishima’s expression confirmed their fears.

“Guys… Midoriya’s crying,” revealed Kirishima slowly with panic laced in his voice.

Todoroki walked over, growing nervous. “What do you think could’ve caused him to be this upset?”

Iida shook his head, crossing his arms. “He was already acting strange yesterday afternoon. He skipped dinner.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard Midoriya cry like that before. Sure, he’s been through hell, but this cry is heartbreaking,” explained Kirishima, looking at the rest of his peers.

“I hope it’s nothing too serious. Midoriya’s been through so much already,” recalled Momo, letting her fingers nervously fidget.

Bakugo on the other hand was trying to keep his cool. It was quickly becoming apparent that Midoriya’s breakdown was because of what went down earlier that week.

He didn’t have a good reason for why he acted the way he did or why he said the things he did. He just assumed Midoriya was messing with him, and Bakugo took it personally because he was genuinely interested.

Too bad he went and fucked it all up.

Deciding to take matters into his own hands, he pushed back his chair and stalked to the doorway. With one strong swing he threw open the door and quickly slammed it shut behind him.

Crying quickly met his ears, and he turned his head to spot Uraraka and Mina failing to console him. Bakugo stalked his way over, feeling his pulse pick up at the sound of Midoriya crying knowing it was his fault.

“Pink cheeks, raccoon eyes, leave,” instructed Bakugo with a seriousness they hadn’t seen or heard in a while.

The duo instantly backed off, making their way back towards the classroom. Meanwhile, Midoriya was struggling to get himself together. He didn’t want Bakugo to see him in such a state. Midoriya didn’t want Bakugo to know he still held so much power over him years later.

“Izuku.”

Midoriya quickly cut him off, raising a hand. “Don’t.”

Bakugo stilled, not expecting Midoriya to respond with such hostility. “I just wanted to apologize.”

“Wow. Really? That’s surprising,” scoffed Midoriya, lowering his hands to show an unimpressed expression accompanied by red puffy eyes.

“Don’t be a smartass,” fired back Bakugo, not one to take disrespect lightly.

“Well, excuse me for not being nice after how you spoke to me yesterday,” replied Midoriya bluntly, crossing his arms.

Bakugo paused, balling his hands up. Taking a deep breath, he said, “Izuku, please. If you will… let me explain.”

Midoriya narrowed his eyes, taking a step forward. “Please, enlighten me as to why you don’t care about anything I have to say and that my feelings aren’t important to you.”

It was quiet for a bit, Midoriya watched as Bakugo’s face turned a rosy shade of pink. The resentment, anger, and hurt that Midoriya had been feeling almost instantly faltered. This wasn’t an expression Midoriya expected to see on Bakugo’s face.

“Kacchan?”

“Shit, this is embarrassing!” admitted Bakugo angrily, rubbing his face.

“What?” questioned Midoriya with concern, a part of him was worried Bakugo was embarrassed about feeling the same way.

Bakugo looked into Midoriya’s beautiful green eyes before revealing, “I thought you were pranking me.”

Midoriya stilled, his worried expression morphing into something resembling irritation. “Excuse me? Why would you ever think I’d fake confessing to you?”

“I saw you with Pink Cheeks yesterday whispering about something like weirdos,” explained Bakugo.

“Hey!” yelled Midoriya, offended by the unnecessary detail.

“Let me finish Freckles! After you guys were done whispering, I overheard Pink Cheeks talking with Dunce Face and Raccoon Eyes. They were laughing about some great prank and your name was mentioned a lot. You approached me less than ten minutes later,” detailed Bakugo, crossing his arms.

Midoriya looked up at Bakugo to see the way his expression softened, and his eyes were filled with remorse. Butterflies filled Midoriya’s gut as he realized he still had a chance. Bakugo may really like him.

“I don’t know about any prank, but I’m about to go find out,” hissed Midoriya, his blood boiling at the realization his friends set him up.

“Hold it right there. You aren’t going anywhere,” countered Bakugo, swiftly grabbing Midoriya’s wrist.

Snapping his gaze up to Bakugo, Midoriya was put back into the present. His head was all over the place as one strong emotion after the next came over him.

“Do you,” started Midoriya before having to stop and swallow a lump in his throat. “Do you like me too?”

Bakugo pulled Midoriya’s arm. Midoriya flew towards Bakugo, yelping before feeling a muscular arm hold his waist. “Fuck that cheesy kid shit. I’m in love with you, Izuku.”

Before Midoriya could get a word out Bakugo captured his lips. Midoriya let out a relieved sigh as he melted into Bakugo’s arms. Bakugo let go of Midoriya to set both hands on his waist and pull him close.

Midoriya swiftly moved his hands to Bakugo’s shoulders before sliding them up the nape of his neck. He felt his legs get weak as Bakugo kissed him like he was the most perfect person in the world.

When the two pulled away for a moment, Bakugo declared, “We are dating.”

“Just kiss me again,” sighed Midoriya and he looked up into Bakugo’s piercing stare.

Bakugo didn’t waste a minute to capture Midoriya in another kiss. They both ignored the fact that class had started, and they were definitely going to get in trouble for kissing in the middle of the hallway.

Meanwhile, Uraraka and Mina were staring at the duo with dropped jaws. Kirishima had opened the door to get an update and was also frozen in surprise at the sight of Midoriya and Bakugo making out in the hallway.

Their teacher took one look at what was going on in the hallway before going right back to the teacher's stand. It was about time the two teens figured out their feelings. The teacher no longer had to deal with the strange air that surrounded the two.

By the time Midoriya and Bakugo returned to the room, everyone knew what had just happened. Todoroki pointed a finger at the duo with a smile. “I’m glad to see you finally figured out the obvious.”

“Ha?” shouted Bakugo, hand ready to blast Todoroki to space.

“Good for you two! I was wondering when you’d finally get together,” cheered Mina, clapping her hands.

Midoriya was bright red, covering his face in embarrassment at the realization all his classmates heard and witnessed their confession and kissing. “Oh god.”

The teacher cleared their throat, grabbing the attention of everyone. “You may all talk about your personal lives after class. Let’s leave both Bakugo and Midoriya alone and continue our lesson.”

Twenty students all sadly shuffled back to their seats. Bakugo sneakily took Midoriya’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. Midoriya flashed Bakugo a giddy smile before squeezing his hand back.

Even if the way they started dating came from a less-than-ideal situation, Midoriya couldn’t be more grateful. If it took a misunderstanding and some tears to get the ball rolling, then so be it. Bakugo would spend the rest of his life making up for it.

Midoriya was now dating the boy of his dreams.

Dirty Sheets

Langst -> Klance :)

So empty. Quiet. The air was stiff.

Whenever Lance wasn’t working or training he sat in the vast silence that filled him and a nobody ruler from an unspoken of planet.

Nights were loveless touch starved and once and a while filled with lustless moans forgotten in the seemingly never-ending halls of the castle.

Lance finally decided to call someone, anyone.

“Coran, can I come over for a little bit, maybe a week or less?”

He heard conversing in the background grow quiet, “Why of course is something wrong?”

Lance turned around to see his husband still asleep before he quickly left the room.

“No- just... I need to get away for a bit.”

“Of course you can come over!”

Lance smiled looking overwhelmed with joy, something he should’ve found in his husband, recently married.

“I’ll be there as soon as possible.”

Just as quick as the conversation came it was over the silent static once again filled the void in Lance’s ears.

...

“Absolutely not!”

“I’m going whether or not you want me to!”

“Well then! I’ll just go with you!”

“Oh really? I’m shocked you’d give up time away from me-“

-power 100%-

Lance grabbed his bags and walked in the silent footsteps behind him followed as the door hissed shut.

Lance shook his head butting his lip.

“Why would I want to be away from you? Huh!”

“Oh like hell you don’t know!”

“Stop pretending like you aren’t obvious about what you do when I’m busy!”

“What exactly are you implying?”

-You’ve arrived at your destination-

Silent Lance walked out and up to Coran who tightly hugged Lance in his arms picking up on his radiating sadness.

“I missed this.”

Coran couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle, “What is it that you miss my boy?”

“A hug.”

The simple phrase was enough to strike a nerve in Coran’s heart as he let go to gaze at the husband.

“Hello, my names Coran.”

“Ethan, Prince Ethan, honor to meet you, Coran.”

“Come on in everyone’s here”

Lance smiled softly coming in and he tried to shine bright and let his usual ego take control but he had nothing left.

Pidge froze before leaping at Lance, “Lance! Oh my god, I’ve missed you so much! How come you never call?”

Lance glanced for his husband, “Oh! Sorry for not being active I’ve been very... busy!”

Pidge shrugged, “Understandable everyone always has a problem to deal with.”

Hunk walked over and just hugged Lance tightly as Pidge introduced herself to Ethan.

“You okay Lance?”

“Yeah, I’m good.”

“You sure? You don’t seem your usual chipper self.”

Forcing a shit-eating grin and a laugh, “Time will change even the most beautiful of roses.”

Pulling back Hunk softly smiled, “You’re right about that buddy, but it’s nice to see you, your features have really matured.”

Chuckling I turned to Shiro, “Hi! How have you been?”

“Good, how about you? Your charm finally paid off I see.”

I shifted my weight between my two feet uncomfortably, “Yeah... it really did, didn’t it?”

Finally, I turned to Keith, oh perfect Keith. How I’d give anything to change our course and our passings for one bright future. He hadn’t changed too much seeming relatively the same.

I grew taller my muscles for defined along with my eyes and from Allura Altean features started to change my DNA slowly.

“We just had dinner a couple before you arrived so if you like I can show you your room and then heat you something up.”

Ethan interjected, “We’ll be fine thank you very much.”

Lance sighed as Ethan grabbed Lance’s wrist whispering in his ear. Lance nodded seemingly irritated, Coran smiled guiding the way as Lance ripped his hand from Ethan's grapes putting space between the two.

Once shown their room Ethan smiled, “Thank you, we will join you in a bit we have matters to discuss at the moment with work.”

Lance looked at Coran, “Sorry he felt like he needed to lie to you, we will need to establish some things personal between the two of us and then we will be out with you all.”

“Okay, my boy...”

Pidge had other plans. Getting Hunk and Keith to go with her to snoop she rushed to their room where voices could be heard. It was almost screaming.

“What exactly do you know Lance?”

“Oh my god... Why are you ignoring the fact that I know you’ve been unfaithful!”

“You know I’ve had my rough spots but I’m not cheating on you!”

“Oh? So everyone on our planet is lying, they haven’t seen you out with a girl, by the name of Ruthan?”

“Lance, that’s enough!”

“You know what? I’m done with your bullshit! Day and night I’m slaving away doing work for a civilization you couldn’t give a tinnier shit about! I come back just for you to need sex, a loveless marriage you make me regret every day!”

“I give you money! I give you fame! Everything you possibly would want! You selfish whore!”

A loud smack was heard and everything went silent.

“How. Dare. You! You fucking asshole!”

“Lance I’m so sorry!”

Shattering was heard.

“Your ring!”

“I hate you....”

“Baby...You don’t mean that-“

“I fucking hate you!”

“I love you, Lance! I love you and I may make mistakes but I have never not loved you.”

“What? You love me ridding you’re dick cause your too lazy to be a man? What you’re telling me that when I try and take a shower you come in and slam me to the wall and make me scream until nothing else matters?”

“Well guess what? I wish I never loved you.”

“Wait... is that why you're here? Are you not over him?”

“As if any of this was influenced by that! You even know you're trying to fuck with my head again!” There was a long pause, “You’re trying to manipulate me! Sabotage me, make me wanna crawl right back into square one where this cycle will never end.”

“I swear Ruthan was a once time thing Lance. I love you. I really do.”

“God just shut up already and get over here.”

Laughing was heard as jumping was heard.

“Get off you fucking idiot!”

Well, they had heard everything they needed to.

It took two hours for them to be found. It was silent there was a sense of compassionate intimacy between the two. Yet it was built on lies. Lance didn’t budge as Ethan whispered toxic nothings into his ear. With each one, the sweet cooling burn of alcohol brought Lance peace.

“You can head to bed I’ll be there eventually.”

“Okay, Lance I’ll be knocked out in two seconds.”

“Mhmm.”

It was silent as Lance let his head hit the table his body trembles as sobs erupted from his throat knowing at this point he was officially lost.

The growing sounds of footsteps neared as Lance felt a hand on his leg, “Lance?”

Immediately wiping his tears he did his best to smile and make perfect eye contact, “Yes...”

Keith. Shit.

“Come here.”

Lance threw himself onto Keith knocking him to the ground, Keith fully flushed he hugged Lance back. Lance pulled back wiping at his beautiful skin to remove the tears.

Keith cupped Lance’s face, “Wanna stay in my room tonight?”

Lance hesitated, “Ethan will get mad at me.”

“Then let him. Judging by the fact your ring is now gone that’s enough for you to be your own person again.”

Keith held Lance’s hand tightly, not in a rough controlling manner but rather guiding and secure.

The door slid open to reveal a neat room other than a desk overflowing his papers.

Lance sat on the desk, “Nice room, Mullet.”

Keith smirked, “This is longer and more grown out than any mullet I’ve ever seen.”

“It’s a nickname dummy.”

The playful banter was back without even the tiniest bit of effort. Yet it grew quiet.

“I overheard you earlier, the fighting. Why do you stay?”

“I have nowhere else to go and... what about the people they’d be under a foolish ruler?”

Keith looked at Lance with the most serious expression, “It’s not your job to be his sex slave and be a ruler for him. Your his husband, not his accountant.”

“So?”

“So leave him.”

“Runaway how could I possibly do that?”

“You still train right?”

“Yes? Why?”

“Come with me to the BOM, be my right hand again. I missed having stability.”

Lance slowly took Keith's hand, it was a comfortable silence.

“I’d like that.”

The tone, the small smile, the taunt in his eyes, the fall of his perfect curls, it sent Keith into overdrive.

Keith took Lance’s hands intertwining their fingers and pushing him back further on the desk knocking papers off Lance not in the slightest bit phased just started breathlessly at Keith.

“Tell me no.”

“Yes.”

Lance leaned into Keith's lips melting together like butter. Perfection. And yet they only wanted more. Lance pulled Keith down onto him. It was hot, very hot. Sincereness was something Lance had long forgotten yet now it’s driving him wild. Keith pushed himself onto Lance who opens his mouth letting out a groan. Slipping his tongue inside Keith's mouth Lance wanted to draw out that noise, that beautiful noise he’s always dreamed of bitting and leaving a beautiful mark on Keith's collar bone was enough to retrieve that sound.

“Lance-“

Keith slid his hand to Lance’s throat kissing him so rough Lance felt like he was flying, the pressure on his neck stimulated him and all he could do was moan into Keith's mouth.

Keith let himself teasingly play eoth Lance’s tongue before pulling away and kissing him softly on the lips. Leaving a trail of kisses to the crook of his jawline Keith declared this was his promise to Lance. Every kiss will be from love, from burning desire to cherish each and every inch of the beautiful blue boy. Lance smirked cupping Keith's face kissing him compassionately and quickly running his fingers between the strands of Keith's beautiful long locks before tugging at them and as Keith let out a moan Lance roughly made sure that Keith wasn’t letting out that moan. All while grinding on one another both visibly hard. Keith softly kissed Lance all over the face and mainly on the cheek he could tell Ethan had slapped.

Keith smiled, “Am I the one Ethan was scared about?”

“He has nothing to be scared about. He already knew he lost.”

Keith kisses Lance one last time respecting his boundaries leading him to bed. Lance begins to take off his jewelry and clothes which he had a lot to make sure he maintained his physique.

“You wearing Earth clothing tomorrow by the way.”

Lance smiled softly, “May I lock the door by the way?”

“Way ahead of you I locked it when we came in.”

Lance laughed, it felt good after so long.

It was quiet Lance looked up to Keith, “Don’t let me go back.”

Keith softly kissed Lance even their lips were a perfect match together, “The only place your going back to is my base where you’ll work far away from that asshole.”

Lance smiled comfy under the sheets as Keith curled up onto him, an arm wrapped around Keith the other under his head. Slowly he fell asleep. Oh boy, what a night.
