TOGACHAKO REDESIGNS KINDA!!!!!

these were so fun teehee the faces look a lil weird cause i wasnt focused on them lol ANYWAY list of changes/things i added! Himiko has pointy ears cause i thought that was fun :D i tried to make Himiko made up of a lot of sharpness and triangles, and Ochako lots roundness and circles and hearts. i love shape language!!! Himiko has stronger looking legs cause the majority of her fighting style to me is running around being fast. and then Ochako is buff all over cause of training. you cant see it in this cause i didn't draw their mouths open but Ochako has a tooth gap and Himiko's fangs are sharper and bigger and freakier!! i gave Himiko a bunch of moles, and Ochako a bunch of freckles (if i draw Izuku i'd give him even more teehee) Himiko has big eyebags (as always) but i gave Ochako small ones. (they get bigger during her fight with Himiko and after Himiko dies) Himiko is taller than Ochako, except when Ochako is in her hero costume where her boots make them the same height. i made it so Himiko's villain accessories are red, because she spray-painted it all red (like blood) to be cuter!! and i changed her shoes to big chunky sneakers because i think thats cute, and i gave her shorter messier socks the same colour as her cardigan :D i redesigned a few things on Ochako's costume; put hearts like everywhere as little details, changed the line on her crotch(??) to a heart design on her belly button (thats where Himiko holds the all might keychain while shes giving Ochako blood <3 ) and i made her overall costume a little looser.

but anyway this will (hopefully!) be how i draw them from now on!!! i will without a doubt forget details like their freckles and moles but ill do my best :) HOPE YOU LIKE THESE!!!

🤓 can we point out that while Himiko reaches for Ochas face Ochako actually reaches to Himis heart 🤓🤓🤓 and it's not like the reference because she doesn't touch with full palm but like hesitantly and softly taps himikos chest 🤓🤓🤓🤓

And the skin render looks so watercolour-ish and I love the purples on skin so much and the lil bit of orange on the edges mmmmmmm DELICIOUS 👄🌸✨✨✨

The fabric of ochas dress looks like you've spent half the time on it, especially the part near her legs it's soooooooo flowy and it's actually TRANSPARENT A BIT OMGGGG CAN I GO EVEN MORE INSANE about this I wonder (probably yes)

I needed to check for a second time bit PINK EYES OCHA it's soooooooooooo good I love this sm, and it GLOWS TOO 😫😩😭😭😭❤

The background is so simple but it works so well with all the light from above and all that, like the rays of hope ✨

I've seen many artists drawing Toga with sh scars, and, while understanding where it came from, I still couldn't come to terms with the idea itself.

But now... What if these scars aren't only a manifestation of how Himiko couldn't accept her body and let out her pent-up emotions through pain, but also served a practical purpose?

Middle school Himiko grappling with her desire for blood. Drinking her own to avoid hurting others, which, while being a poor substitute, is her only solace?

Himiko, locked up in the bathroom of her so-perfect-so-plastic home, a box cutter at her feet, licking her bleeding wounds while tears are streaming down her cheeks and her trembling lips are curled up into a wobbly smile.

It's so painful, but it's the closest to feeling alive she has.

And Himiko can't bring herself to feel shame.

P. S. It goes perfectly with Himiko wearing her yellow cardigan (?), actually, the sleeves being so long that she has sweater paws. Like, not that Himiko would be ashamed of her scars, she would just hate that people would look at her with pity, so it'd be easier to cover them up.

With the League though... Not that they would pay that any mind. They literally have a walking scar that is Dabi and not like anyone pays attention, so yup, Himiko would become a bit more relaxed about her scars eventually. Maybe they'll even have that scar talk. That'd be cute.

Izuku may seem to do that a a bit threatening way, and you may think, like, wtf dude, you wanna grab her face or something? (I'm giggling a bit cuz he's literally closer to her cuz his quirk makes him faster than the girls lol)

Hell no. We don't know what exactly he wants to do (me too yeah), but... does he want to wipe her tears away? Or maybe he wants to cover her eyes so she doesn't see the horrors of the outside world? Plenty of options here, but notice that.

Himiko looks straight at him. And she's not afraid, not shocked, just meeting it head-on. Think about it :)

Next, Tsuyu. I see it as her reaching towards Himiko's hand. While not understanding Himiko completely, she tries to take her hand. While, much like Izuku, she might seem threatening, her intention remains the same.

And, of course, Ochako. It's all different here. While the other two are reaching towards her, she doesn't try to grab or touch her. She offers her hand. Himiko can take it. If she wants. Ochako recognizes the pressure Himiko has been constantly going through, and she doesn't add to that, and offers a choice. She's the only one doing the giving motion, not the taking one.

Well, that's all that I wanted to share about hehe, just thought about things for a while now 😓😓😓

This card kept me thinking: What if someone reached before it was too late? What if someone could give Himiko the life she deserved?

The whole lore is below the cut (loads of text yay)

Setting: a small Russian town in the middle of the early 2000s haunted by remnants of the criminal 1990s

Himiko: is from quite a wealthy family who could afford to send the girl to learn rhythmic gymnastics (which was so easy to pay for considering the equipment and all). Her upbringing was all about constant demands - better, stronger, training, diets.

Still, no matter how hard she tried, it was never enough. The only thing that Himiko got from the sport were underdeveloped body (she hasn't gained much height and remained as thin as a stick) and quite some damage to her joints that still bothers her.

Naturally, her escape from the abusive environment was a less than perfect company and some teenage rebellion. She shaved half her hair, got piercings, began smoking - all that just to get as far from the "perfect girl" image as possible. Somehow, a group of weathered criminals became more of a family to her than the people left at her old home.

These days, Himiko stayed where she could (not that she could peruse the kindness of her old friends too much), hoping to scrape by busking and selling not-so-legal stuff to schoolers. At least it was like that until she met HER.....

Ochako: is from a poor yet extremely supportive household. While her parents are slaving at work, she takes care of both the house and her disabled grandmom. Dreams of working as a police and studies hard to enroll into the police academy.

She is ruthlessly bullied at school - not that Ochako, with her ton of responsibilities, ever had time to make friends. More than that, the "teacher's pet" is never the favorite student of the class. The fact that sealed her fate was simple - Ochako is... chubby, just like any other woman in her family. It was never an issue before socializing came into view, so being harassed came across as a total shock.

Not that Ochako couldn't fight back - she's always so busy and focused on things that are actually important that the surroundings barely register to her as it is. Besides, her easygoing nature and kindness just let the things pass by, even if she honestly wouldn't mind getting rid of a few pounds...

Ochako has chosen the dark alleyways on her way back home again. It's easier, if not safer, than listening to the nasty boys calling after her as she passes.

"Fat cow" this, "fat cow" that... What's bad in cows, anyway? Cows are cute and didn't deserve to have an actual insult named after them..... Not that her classmates need a huge reason to harass anyone. Ochako just was unlucky enough to have the wrong genes.

Himiko has been observing the dark alleyway ahead for a while now. She's hoping to prey on someone weak to steal some cash for a dinner, but this far it was of no success.

The girl has been changing places for her "hunt" often enough, but this neighborhood has seen better times for sure. Still, it's early to lower her guard, and Himiko tightens her grip on the butterfly knife in her pocket as she hears someone approaching. To her surprise, it's just a schoolgirl.

Himiko checks the potential prey with a trained eye - clothes old, but certainly taken care of and worn neatly. Such a type holds little interest - parents probably don't even give her pocket money.

It is, for sure, a "good girl" - the type she can easily recognize, as she had been one herself. Now, though, this kind of girls only makes Himiko grimace with open disdain. This is the last thing she can do before the girl turns around.

Their eyes meet - cat-like gold against warm browns, and Himiko can't look away. The petite stranger is so... cute.
