15! dazai gave 15! chuuya his scarf
like you are still there
I forget that most people ship things because they want characters to be in a happy relationship and not because they want them to have weird sex things with atrocious psychological consequences

The Shippuden Naruto-Sasuke reunion gets funnier the more you get to know Sasuke.
" I didn't kill you on a whim, I'll kill you now though"- This boy has a Superman level no-kill code that he adheres to with too much conviction. He's a ninja. He was raised to kill, and no one would blame him if he did. Yet his only aim is Itachi.
Jumping down the ravine to hold Naruto- We see later on he doesn't like people touching him. He's basically screamed it in people's faces & is not shy about telling people to move it. He doesn't seek out physical touch either & he has a million long-range attacks.
He jumped down because he wanted to hold Naruto. That's it. He has never gotten this close to anyone without a practical reason & Sasuke was much faster than Naruto. He did that side-hug and whispered in his ear for no reason other than he wanted to be close.
Getting distracted during the fight- he has planned out step-by-step every fight he's entered with a bunch of failsafes. He's constantly thinking seven steps ahead. He was utterly distracted by Naruto. That's IT. Naruto was the only factor in these fights that got him off guard
The first episode sets up this reunion like Sasuke has gone too far down a dark path when in reality he knew exactly qhat he wanted, had plans to escape Orochimaru on his own, he ended up taking down THREE big threats and like 20% of the Akatsuki. On his own. That reunion was Sasuke playing a part to convince Orochimaru to leave Naruto alone, to convince himself that he didn't care(though he desperately did), and to make Naruto stay away.
Like most of it was to save himself & Naruto the pain.
He's such a dramatic lil boy
I don't understand why people question if Sasuke likes Naruto, romantically speaking. I think Sasuke is so much more clearer than Naruto about the depth of his emotions. He has stated multiple times that Naruto is the only thing capable of making him lose sight of his goals. If Naruto showed up for long enough, Sasuke absolutely will stop and drop everything. He's admitted to this.
Itachi emphasized that he needs to kill someone precious to him in order to activate his Mangekyou Sharingan, and Sasuke didn't even hesitate before thinking about Naruto. No one else was even in consideration.
His biggest weakness, and the only person who he has made clear has acknowledged him, is Naruto like this is text. He's not chasing Naruto, but that's because he loves him so damn much he needs to run away from it.
With Naruto, there's a lot of duty to the village and perhaps some obligation and guilt associated with the time Sasuke nearly died for him. The story paints it as if Naruto is chasing Sasuke due to his promise to Sakura(he wasn't). But there's more factors obscuring the reasons for Naruto's determination than for Sasuke. Naruto says "for the village, to save my friend, for a promise", etc.
Sasuke explicitly says "I have to kill you because you're the only thing that is precious to me and I can't have that because you weaken me".
ah yes, my favourite dynamic, the guy whose name is the title of the series and his best friend/homoerotic situationship
"Dazai's expression as he placed a finger on his forehead and approached the enemy - that of a child about to burst into tears - remained burned into my eyes."
Recent re-observations of SB Chuuya's design have spawned the idea of Chuuya being farsighted and his glasses in Storm Bringer actually being prescriptions glasses so he can read all his documents. Have the scenario that @whathorselegs came up with from this what-if sdjfhskdjfh
Richard's unhinged energy is the most entertaining part for me beside the murders. Like the guy is an inspiration for chaotic people. He lies about his family life, pretends his rich father has business in oil (who irl has a petrol pump), lies to his part time employer to get money, goes on a 90s teen movie shopping spree, takes any free item from Judy, lies about going to a prep school, lives on a diet of wine and more wine, takes any pill anyone gives him, joins a cultish greek gang, lets Bunny die an aesthetically pleasing death and not to forget.....does cocaine in the parking lot of Burger King.
lil practice piece to fight off art block
I like to think that chuuya secretly donates to animal shelters and never tells anyone. he'll be boasting about how tough of a mafioso he is one second and then quietly covering the medical bill for a one-eyed kitten the next. animals don’t lie. they don’t stab you in the back or expect things from you in return for their love. they’re just soft and small and trying their best, and it hits a part of him he doesn't want to look at too closely. he reads every “thank you to our anonymous donor” update email like it’s classified intel. someone at the shelter sent a picture of a puppy in a cast once and he stared at it for ten minutes straight. he would rather be shot point blank then explain to someone why the photo is saved and favorited in his phone though.
i just love people watching. not in a creepy way, of course, but rather in a way that i love seeing humans being human, doing the most mundane things ever that make you realize how we are such peculiar creatures. there’s something so heartwarming in observing people’s actions, listening to their words because everyone you see or everything you hear is unique in its own way, yet you can easily be reminded of something you’ve already heard or someone you’ve already met because at the end of the day, we’re all the same. isn’t that just magical?
I’m not sure if fandom is ready or not when I drop one sided fyozai and soukoku in modern au without abilities but yeah. Kinda writing it rn
Death Wish out now @gabriellahughes took this picture at the show 🖤 Love you alllllllll

In my dream my beloved friend looked at me with these eyes. I never loved you eyes. What did you say about me eyes. Don’t call me Odasaku eyes. God bless im not into that shit anymore. If someone prefer to play drama rather than talk as adults I don’t give a shit. It still hurts though
"So what do you recommend to encourage affection?"
"Dancing, even if one's partner is barely tolerable"
One thing I don't see nearly enough people talking about when it comes to KNDZ is how the use of light/dark colors on them is nearly 1-to-1 reversed of each other.
Dazai has short dark hair, Kunikida has long light hair. Dazai has dark eyes Kunikida has light eyes. Dazai wears a dark vest with a light shirt, Kunikida wears a light vest with a dark shirt.
Of course both of their designs still have individuality. Dazai's bandages and his coat that looks similar to Odasaku's coat. Kunikida dresses the most "business like" showing how seriously he takes his job, and the little yin-yang pin is an entire discussion in of itself.
The iconic red tie/blue tie thing they got going on is worth the hype, but I think the use of light/dark colors deserves attention too. It adds another layer to their "polar opposite partners" dynamic.
Chrysalis x cadence month soon???
People who grew up on Naruto how does it feel to have a constant motivation in life because one blond cartoon dummy repeatedly said “never give up” and also have been through one of the most unhealthy demolishing provocative outrageous traumatising relationships in your life with that one dark emo dude who hates everyone because you are “friends”
I think if I will be too drunk I’ll eventually start talking about Chechen crisis
Something about oda and dazai never being able to survive in the same universe. Something about both of their lives and perspectives in the world changing because of one another. Something about oda needing to die for dazai to change. Something about dazai's grief and promise to oda kick-starting the events of the manga. Something about dazai loving him so much that he creates new universes for oda to survive in so he can finally fulfill his dream of becoming a writer. Something about him sacrificing everyone's happiness and ultimately his own life for that end. Something about his biggest regret being that he'll never get to read oda's book. Something about them never being able to see brighter future together in the end.
i was listening to you're so dark and the idea of chuuya stumbling upon that song after dazai defected is so funny to me like imagine ur 18, ur 3 yr long situationship (guy that coerced u into joining the mafia) disappeared off the face of the earth and also arctic monkeys just released AM
