Never stop counting calories.
If you want to stay in control and discipline then you must count every single calorie that you put in your mouth. And if you donโt know the calories of it then you shouldnโt eat it or at least overestimate it.
8:00am: had a cup of black coffee and am feeling full. going to try and drink water consistently to keep this.

9:08am: noticing a common theme here that i get munchy about 2 hours after waking up. easier to say no for now though. endure.
10:30am: caved and snacked. 3/4s of a cookie, two bites of chicken, and some seaweed. probably about 100cal. gonna avoid food until i can make soup for dinner.
11:02am: not hungry but to keep myself as full as possible and avoid getting hungry, i'm going to have some sparkling water/propel on hand.
Woo, resuming protocol.
9:14am: thought about food in that i wanted to start this post and i was like 'am i even thinking about food right now?' and uh. no. not in the slightest. gotta drink water tho
10:47am: got back from a decent walk with kimchi, and while i was able to push away temptation fairly quick, i can sense lunch will be hard. almost halfway there!
doing another day where i note when i have thoughts of food so i can try and ignore them until dinner.
10:36am: stomach growled but wasn't genuinely feeling hungry. just had the passing thought of 'should i grab something quick to munch'. felt easy to say no.
1:08pm: finished working out and am feeling hungry. TT going to be harder to go away this time. gonna try drinking more water and working hard.
1:49pm: manga mentioned pizza and i want it. soooo bad. going to keep working and focus on getting sandwiches later :Q__
My collection of meals under 300 cals (ongoing):
Egg Cups (about 45 cal per egg cup or 270 for 6): preheat oven to 360 F, use a nonstick muffin tin, fill muffin slots to top with spinach, add about 14 grams of chicken to each (84 grams or 3 oz for 6), bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through. For flavor with very little cals, I dip them in sriracha. Ingredients below.
Liquid egg whites
Spinach (or any quick cooking veggie)
Pro2Go chicken/cooked chicken breast (optional, remove 17 cals per cup if leaving out)
Safe Tacos (about 70 cals per taco, 280 for 6): spread half of laughing cow wedge onto one half of the taco shell, add chicken and fold in half. Either toast on nonstick pan or microwave if you're feeling lazy. For dipping, I again use sriracha to keep calories lower. Ingredients below.
Mini Mission Carb Balance tortillas (25 cal each)
Laughing Cow Light (any flavor that's 25 cals works)
Pro2Go chicken/cooked chicken breast
Creamy Chicken & Vegetable Soup (about 225 cals for 1/2 recipe): Please note: I usually eyeball the vegetable amounts, so feel free to add less if you like. I tried to overmeasure for the sake of guestimating calories. To make, bring a cup and a half of water to boil (can add more later to taste). add chopped onion, zucchini, celery, carrots and bouillon. let come to a simmer. cook for about 5-10 minutes. add ground chicken breast and 1 tsp thyme. bring to simmer again and cook another 5-10 minutes. if worried about raw chicken, you can also pre-cook it in a non-stick pan beforehand. finally right before serving, add 100 ml of oatmilk. Ingredients below.
Oatly/Califa Oatmilk Barista Edition (very important to get barista edition! other versions may be lower calorie but it won't be as creamy and even "unsweetened" tends to be sweet)
Yellow onion, 1/2, chopped
Zucchini, 1 medium, chopped
Celery, 1 stalk, chopped
Carrot, 1/2 cup chopped
Better Than Bouillon Chicken Bouillon, 60 g (honestly you can add less and cut calories, but I like things salty and flavorful. add this or any chicken bouillon you prefer to taste. Adjust cals accordingly)
Ground chicken breast, 100g (optional, remove 55 cals per serving if leaving out)
Dried thyme, 1 tsp

roommate came home and offered the last pieces of her sushi. it's...so hard to say no to offered food TT people get so weird about it. so i ate it. 315 cals down the drain.
going to avoid food at our work outing and then stick with dumpling soup / veg and dumplings for dinner.
the good thing about eating an offering vs a snack binge or breaking down and eating something unprompted is: i still feel in control. i will do well today even with this.

8am: had a random spike of wanting some small food. going to finish water and try and wait until 11 for coffee.
edit: made it to 5:30PM with just a few slices of pepperoni and coffee! success. going to do this again for thursday

You dont need to eat. No one is forcing u to eat. U can eat later. Right now, just focus on gettin ur body in order. This doesnt mean that the food will disappear and u will never be able to eat it again. Come on, ure already so close to ur goal, so why give up now? Why eat something u have already tasted a million times... u already know what it tastes like, so u dont need it. You know how easy its to undo your successes, so just avoid eatin. Its not the end of the world. Tbh its disgusting that ure so obsessed with food. Think about something else for once.

my biggest motivation is that I could be 20 lbs lighter but I just gave up for a whole month.
updated my goals and dates because after i hit the pre-travel goal and went overseas, i completely fucked my routines up again. oh to be able to consume 2k calories a day and still lose weight because i'm walking and doing so much...
new date goal is my birthday. gotta hit it.

how to not binge
first letโs understand why youโre bingingโฆ
you miss the food. you miss the flavor and you miss the freedom. thatโs okay. restricting your diet is hard especially because youโve had a taste for high cal foods and they taste great, i wonโt lie. but i have been able to go about 2 months without binging, even though i miss the flavor.
my lw was at the beginning of the pandemic and i was eating like once every three days (because of my ocd). i got into recovery this year but i donโt think i was mentally ready for all the weight gain so i restarted my rexie journey about 2 months ago and iโve lost a significant amount of weight (about 25 lbs)
now how to not binge!
actually enjoy your low cal meals. savor the flavor and really enjoy it. donโt eat them with the mindset of โthis will make me skinnyโ, eat them with the mindset of โthis is actually good foodโ. the more you start to look at these foods as delicious and tasty, the less youโll want the high cal foods. look forward to the meals you cook. experiment with flavor and different textures. and remember itโs okay to miss that burger and that pizza, but thereโs a whole world of different flavors you have yet to explore in low cal foods!
as iโm writing this, iโm having my breakfast: black coffee, a can of tuna with salt and pepper and some unsweetened applesauce. it might seem like bland food but i genuinely love the bitterness of the coffee and the sweetness from my saliva that follows after iโve drank it, the savory and slightly spicy flavor of the tuna (iโve always loved tuna since childhood so this one was pretty easy to like) and the applesauce, itโs like a treat and a fun little snack. i even consider it akin to candy, so i donโt feel the need to eat actually candy.
itโs a mindset to get into. just remember that you donโt have to suffer to be skinny, you can enjoy food while losing weight.
i used to think getting close to my goal weight would be a motivator, but man, the closer i get, the more i'm like 'wow! i'm so close! maybe i can relax a little today' and screw my progress over.
if i want to be within reach of my gw3 by halloween, i gotta go extra hard now TT
