Something that I don’t think gets a lot of fandom portrayal is how playful Noelle gets with Susie when she gets comfortable:
Cale is so trustworthy because he’s very good at payment. Exchanging “equal” goods, even if they may not seem equal in his eyes. He sees his own priorities as more important and naturally thinks that he’s ripping off the other person, when actually they are likely benefitting as much or more as Cale himself. Even in something like emotional stability or feelings of safety and security. He doesn’t always give visible benefits, and helping them out is usually not inconvenient for them. In a similar way, his tasks aren’t usually inconvenient, and the benefits he receives are for the future and inconceivable to anyone without context.
He has very low empathy, in that regard. In most regards, actually. He can sacrifice himself, and manipulate people, and use his glib tongue, but his actually empathy is extremely low. Even when everyone is openly concerned for him— he doesn’t recognize it. It’s “weird.” “Disturbing.” He gets put off by people looking at his with admiration, because, he doesn’t feel like he did anything amazing? He just said a few well words? Why is everyone looking at him like he just something profound?
He’s smart, but he can’t easily connect to outsiders feelings. He does and says when he wants to— and predicting the outcome is his specialty— except when it comes to positivity. He prepares for the negative, he anticipates it.
He just… doesn’t understand how to comprehend when it’s not seeing him in a bad light.
How refreshing was it for Alberu, who lived his life being disrespected and ignored, to writhe in the fake-politeness of scammers, living beneath his third and second brothers, to fight so hard for respect-
To have his life then be manhandled into a position of power and have a guaranteed spot as the next in line for king, by a man who talks disrespectfully and becomes petulant at the slightest inconvenience
He’s not disrespectful because of Alberu’s political standing and he’s not whiny because he’s incompetent. He’s honest.
He’s disrespectful because- well, he’s just that way with everyone he’s comfortable with. If he acts respectful, it’s probably because he’s pretending in order to get something he wants.
He’s petulant, but only when it’s something that can be fixed. Oh your highness, can you pay my travel expenses? Oh your highness, can I have a gold plaque for my hard work?
The man wants money!
He’s not greedy for fame nor power, he doesn’t want a spot right next to the Crown Prince when he becomes king. He wants money, he wants to fix the problems that disturb his life, and he wants to be a slacker. The Crown Prince has all the resources to do those things! That’s his job. To create a peaceful kingdom that can still survive in war and chaos.
Cale just keeps dumping a bunch of resources on his head in order to do that.
Incessantly.
Like, he really doesn’t stop giving him information and allies.
Hah, but seriously.
He doesn’t stop.
He still hasn’t stopped.
Cale and Alberu are tools for each other. That’s their relationship. They use each other because what one person lacks, the other does not. Cale has information and connections, Alberu has influence and money.
It’s a ✨symbiotic relationship✨

Twice now, Ralsei pulls Kris aside and asks them to think about what Susie’s doing.
People have theorized this is to “get alone time away from the Player”, but I think he actually does this because he’s trying to communicate something about Susie to Kris.
“Astral Projection”?
Both Kris and Ralsei act like they’re viewing/have viewed Susie’s scenes.
In Chapter 2, Ralsei is alright with Kris not viewing Susie’s scene if they’re not interested.
If doing the Snowgrave route, Kris will skip Susie’s scene by themself, and Ralsei, after initially being flustered, will say, “As long as Susie’s happy”.
So that’s why - what?

While it's...cute? in fanart to see Kris go up and hug Susie, in canon, when Kris is moving on their own to sit next to her, they always give her space.
(Measuring tape for social distancing added for emphasis)
And the one time Kris (jokingly?) asked her for a hug/to share her jacket, they asked, they didn't glomp her.
They immediately smile at her ribbing a moment later, showing that they're not bothered by the refusal.
In fact, any time they've gotten physically close, it's because Susie approached Kris.
Which Kris seems to be perfectly alright with; she's their best friend and Kris does seem to want to be close to her, since they ask her for a hug after the Spamton fight.
My point is, Kris deliberately gives her space when it's up to them how close to get to her. Not only are they respectful of her boundaries, Kris seems to want Susie to bridge that physical gap herself.
If they hug, Susie's probably going to be the one to do it first.

A concept in my head that been rolling around a lot:
Hanahaki, but instead of it being triggered by unrequited love, it's triggered because all the love you have for a person turns inwards because you're too afraid to show it.
So it kills you, not because someone doesn't love you back, but because you don't let it out and all that love you have stored, that could grow into something beautiful, turns on you and turns your insides beautiful.
Love is growth, and without any place for it to grow outside, it grows in. If you confess, reciprocated or not, the disease goes away because it's no longer trapped. It gives self-destruction a new meaning.
