no literally, I’m so obsessed with their duoship. Especially considering how much Xavier looks after Simon so Simon doesn’t fuck up his own life and future. Like when Nicole was all “why aren’t we telling Simon about Janet returning?!?” and Xavier telling her that Simon would bolt and get his ass suspended so fast 😭😭😭 I need more spiraling Simon x reasonable Xavier moments fr pls don’t fail me season 2 🙏

xavier and simon weren't really the duo I thought I needed, not by a long shot, but their trust exercise in ep4 really sealed the deal for me. like yes thank you actually I do need more moments with simon being too stressed out and xavier being the shrug emoji about it. they balance each other so well, it's hilarious.

it’s the way I’m actually so obsessed with this concept- now I’m kinda sad we don’t get it in the series 😭😭😭

Although School Spirits is rated as TV-M, it isn't too graphic or dark in certain aspects (except for the obvious death/murder). It's considered a supernatural teen drama, but can you imagine if there was a darker aspect to the spirits' deaths? the little things from each of their deaths that linger with them in limbo?

On the rare occasions when Wally's quiet, people can hear the sound of bone grinding against bone when he swivels his head.

Sometimes Charley speaks with a rasp, his voice laced with a wheeze like he can't really breathe.

Rhonda will occasionally bleed from her head, the fabric of her hat dented and matted with a dark spot. Don't stand too close, you might see the bruising underneath her turtleneck that eerily looks like a hand.

The smell of smoke, singed hair, and skin linger around Mr. Martin and Janet. There are times when they don't speak much, their throat itchy and tired from coughing due to smoke inhalation. Blink and you might miss the pink rashes and blisters that appear on their skin.

Periodically, Quinn and the band kids have road-rashed band uniforms, their instruments bent/dented, and shards of glass embedded in their skin and clothes.

This one's more lighthearted: The sound and faint feeling of buzzing grow the closer you stand next to Dawn. If given the chance, she can shock the other ghosts by poking them; she giggles when they flinch.

Will revisit when Yuri's death is revealed :(

but genuinely- i love how they’re writing his character. that he gets overwhelmed, with stress, with grief, with everything. and they let him cry. they let him get upset. he doesn’t just bottle things up- or, well, he does, but we get to see the fallout. it makes his character feel so much more real. simon i love you

I saw an article earlier from the cast of School Spirits talking about season 2, and how the finale is going to be craaaazy, and it said something like "imagine the worst thing ever, and then it's even worse than that."

so now i'm worriedddddd lol

I know this is accurate but part of my mind is like “ah yes, a secret third option where everyone is happy and the ending is perfect and doesn’t hurt ☝️” like someone shake me out of it 😭😭😭

No matter what schools spirits will have a very bittersweet ending and it hurts.

Either Maddie ends up alive and she has to say goodbye to the people and afterlife she has grown to love and care about.

Or she ends up dead and she has to say goodbye to her best friend and accept she will never get to grow up or move on. She will have to watch everyone she once knew and loved slowly leave her as they go onto their futures knowing that she will never get to experience that, knowing that she’s forever stuck in a town she hates.

No matter what option the ending will be bittersweet.
