"Sudden Chaos"
... on a normal day, peaceful and quiet. Wutz went to her favorite place near the cliff together with her friends. Well.. Fluffy wasn't really a fan of spending time with them but the last piece of pizza made him stay for a bit.... Lui seems to notice an explosion somewhere.. It seems to be in the distance. "The formations are getting bombed again" ... who knows what's going on again this time. Very likely a dragon going crazy or the silly crypto people fighting. Fact is, peaceful day activties are over for the 4. "Time to take action"

Nice and warm in there.. Not quite sure how I came up with this but Lui looks cool in there.
This is all one character/ his rainbow dragon mutation he can separate from his body too. Needed something to fill out the space inside the glass. Lol
No worries as a god he can't suffocate ;)

What got you into drawing? My mom! She used to draw for me when I was a little kid. And I always wanted to draw as good as see can. (shes no artist and doesn't do any art today)
Are there any pieces that are old but you're still proud of them? yes a big traditional artwork I did in uh... 2017? sorry just the kinda compressed photo I still have saved from IG, don't have a better pic of it rn. But I think it should be somewhere on my tumblr too.
What advice would you give to artists still trying to improve? to step out of you comfort zone. This is something that was holding me back for quite a long time. e.g. species and anatomy you usually don't draw and have no experience with. Using reference and the like. Basic stuff any artists would probably tell you xD
How did you think of ideas for your characters' world? honestly it's just daydreaming stuff that develops on it's own. Can't give any other answer than that. It's kinda unexplainable to me :'D
Which oc has your favorite color palette? I don't know honestly.. I like them all quite a lot. I don't really have a favorite color palette overall other than my favorite color being aqua which quite a few of my ocs have. But if I have to pick.. Niche. dark and galaxy is pretty c:
Maybe I'm overthinking this but at times anywhere on the internet I decided to share my ocs, barely anyone really interacts with my content compared to when I post art I did for others (e.g. Comms, gifts) , meaning it's other people's characters. It was fine at first, I mainly draw for myself after all but I noticed how it's not improving a single bit over years. Which makes me wonder if my content is simply uninteresting.
Repetitive furry headshots get me a lot of traction, the thing is that's not what I want to be known for, which is why I stopped including these artwork in a lot of places I'm on. (Other than FA because that's were my clients are so I of course post results).
See, a lot of attention gives me anxiety. I don't want to be popular with my content. I simply want to feel connected and I want to have a few people liking my work. Which doesn't seem to work at all. And something that I simply lost completely.
Repeatedly trying to built a following is just exhausting. It doesn't matter how hard you try to connect to others/other artists. Nothing works out for me. I just end up sitting alone in the corner again. Part of the problem might also be that I become very socially awkward. I for example don't like chatting. A few years back I had absolutely no issues building a following but I also just drew animals, something I don't really have interest in that much today. With the current art I create I feel like I'm simply invisible. Not only that but I also get zero commissions in that field too. My art is not bad, I'm proud of it, which is something I can't say about pretty much anything else I do in my life.
Big reason why I feel this way about people avoiding my own original content is the none exciting support in shares. What I mean with this is , I get a few likes, maybe a comment if I'm extremely lucky but reshares, no matter the platform aren't there. I got boosted by a big account on a different platform a few days a go which made me extremely happy but literally nobody shared. As if my art is embarrassing and nobody wants it on their own feed as a sharing post.
I enjoy drawing my own characters for yknow myself. And I don't think this will ever stop. It's just an extra nice warm feeling when I did something I'm extremely happy with and it would get loved by maybe 20 people or so. But it's simply not there which is often a big down-putter (if this word exists LOL)

An illustration of my characters surrounded by plants! Which is at the same time a graphic for my plant collection page on my website! I thought that would be a cool addition.
I tried out some different overlay filter which makes the colours pop a little. It's a bit messed up on the big monstera leaf though which I noticed way later. But no big deal

Oh my - what a color explosion!
Icon of my characters rainbow beam form! I somewhat dislike drawing my characters Inferno forms because everything is just fire, shading is hard to add for me. Because you know.. fire is light. Light everywhere. Wouldn't say I don't like it though. They're very fun to draw still! And especially Lui's colorful mutation is cool!

Got around to illustrate my character Spike for the first time. I actually didn't imagine him with this white light/glow parts but as I was drawing I figured it's a nice addition and gives him some variation.

I don´t participate in this kind of stuff that much but this looked fun!
Turned Lui into different species. This was especially challenging because he is human. And I wanted to give the different species some variety and pattern, rather than just his skin color. I especially like how the aquatic version turned out. 🐟
