Butterflies are basically just a subgroup of moths. I think we as a society need to appreciate moths more.

btw we as a society need to redeem the reputation of moths. Butterflies are seen as beautiful and beneficial and a normal thing to like, but moths are gross and creepy and ugly???

It's so dumb! Moths can be beautiful and colorful like butterflies can be and they are important pollinators! They visit flowers that bees ignore! Moths are a way larger and more diverse group than butterflies anyway!!

This one is a recent drawing (I did it because I was bored) of an old OC I made in high school. Adria Black, hailing from a world full of beings best summarized as vampire ghosts that only adolescents can see, hunted these monsters with her best friend Vivian… until dying and becoming one herself. She wanted to destroy herself, but Vivian wouldn’t accept that, and so now she acts as a spy of sorts. After all, few vampire-ghosts would expect one of their own to be working with a hunter. i am. so sorry if i have ever used the phrase “i have an au where—” and led you to believe that there is an actual fic out there for you to read rather than, at best, a post where i explain the concept, and at worst it is simply something that lives in my brain

As a person on the autism spectrum: This is not all allistics and all autistics (for example, my allistic sister has grown up around autistic people and has an “autism radar” similar to my own) but I relate to this so much. I’ve gotten the “oh, I couldn’t tell, you’re so functional” from allistic people. I can (sometimes) pick autistic people out of a crowd and I gravitate towards them. It’s not even always conscious, we just find each other and it’s awesome. I love all my autistic friends ❤️

It has just now occurred to me that what’s “visibly on the spectrum” is wildly different for autistic and allistic people. Most allistics don’t recognize autistic behavior (at all or anything more that weird/quirky) unless it impacts their ability to interface with an autistic person. That’s when allistics see someone as visibly on the spectrum. Other autistics can spot each other from a mile a way though over minor stuff.

For example every allistic I’ve ever worked with has told me “oh but you’re sooo good at socializing with people?!? I could neverrrr tell?!?!” If they learned I’m autistic.

However other autistic people meet me and are like: YOU. AUTISM.
