I’m confusing everyone who follows me except for the 1% in both fandoms, but : magic the gathering x Hermitcraft au. Working title is HC: Into the Blind Eternities because I think that sounds sick. I am doing this 90% percent because Joel’s base gives off massive Kamigawa vibes, so of course I had to start with him lol. I decided he would be a moonfolk and took inspiration from the card art on Tamiyo field researcher, Tameshi reality architect, and Moonfolk puzzle maker. The face got smudged but I managed to salvage it at the cost of him being way grayer than I intended. Oh well.

The funniest part about this either that fact that, ya know, he’s kinda stealing Pearl’s thunder what with the moon stuff (it’s okay we’ll find her another awesome role), or the fact that, if his hair looks like this, then he would have had to dye it brown first and then dye it green on top of that lol.

I realized I hadn’t drawn Joel recently enough and was suffering from withdrawal like any normal person would, so I searched up smallishbeans and started scrolling through images looking for inspiration to draw, again like any normal person would, when I came across what is possibly the greatest picture to ever be taken

I failed miserably at capturing the look of pure joy on Joel’s face, or the look of absolute smugness on Lizzie’s, which is a shame. Someone more talented than me should redraw

The Great HC-TCG Tournament Finale of Season 9

This work is a two parter dedicated to the beginning of Hermitcraft TCG by VintageBeef. In this one - I drew the background and Hoshi drew the hermits of the SECOND HALF to this series so be sure to check our other piece FIRST!

An slight in-depth breakdown into some of the design decisions when translating Cub's TCG arena from minecraft to proper architecture for our composition!

Drawing the UI of all the screen would be one of the last things added to the bg. While most of the hermit profiles I did to follow Hoshi's designs, designs of other artists and hermits you can find throughout the zine.

Season 9 was my first exposure to Hermitcraft and to be able to see it through to the end not to mention be a part of a such a beautiful tribute to the season I am grateful. BIIIG honours to have worked on two fantastic pieces with Hoshi, huge shoutout to the other contributors, and many thanks to the mod team for making sure everything stays running ^_^

I think one of the funniest team ups in the life series was when Mr. Steals Your Man teamed with Mr. Fumbles Every Bad Bitch That Comes His Way. (I know I wrote that on the drawing but my handwriting is semi-illegible and I’m really proud of that line, like thanks I used up all my humor for the year for that)

Why are all the Grian/Bigb fics on AO3 just Scar angst over the cheating :(

It wasn't even really angsty in canon, in fact Scar's canon view of the situation is much more interesting than the fanon angst version imo. He basically thought of it as Grian doing something frivolous and petty to get at him. Scar believed that at the end of the day it wouldn't matter because him and Grian have and always will be linked after Third Life. Which made Bigb inconsequential in Scar's eyes. He couldn't see any posssiblity that Grian may truly like Bigb. In Scar's eyes BigB was just something that was temporarily distracting Grian before he would eventually came back to Scar. Sure he still decided to make Grian feel guilty now and then, had to be petty back, but his mindset wasn't the angsty sad pining the fandom loves.

Basically Double Life Desert Duo was unhealthy but in a much more complex and mutually toxic way than the fandom likes to present in fanon. Also Biggri is just a rarepair I really enjoy and I want to read something that isn't focused on cheating or Scarian. *Sigh* I guess I'll just have to write it for myself at some point.

a silly sketch of life series zombie Cleo!

Just something low effort for today cause I’m mega tired! I haven’t really drawn them much so it was fun to figure out my design for them. Love how the hair ended up coming out. Also to clarify, their hair is held up by one of those clipper grabber comb claw clips, idk what those things are called. I also put some other clips in their hair with little leaves of them like how c!cleo has leaves in their hair.

Like. Obviously the biblically accurate canon appearance of the Minecraft cubitos that we all collectively brain rot and obsess over are not going to even vaguely resemble the real people we draw them as, and personally I think that’s beautiful.

Also I just realized that in this edition of guess the builds everyone is just in love with Jimmy. I feel bad for all the “relationship map” people rn, because with Jimmy and Joel’s marriage, now the joelycule and the Jimmycule have fused, and they have to redo all their charts.

Lookin’ fabulous Pearl! I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this just for one silly pun, but I think it was worth it because this was the most annoying pose I could have possibly chosen, and I think it came out pretty good. 👍

When the boat boys turned red, Joel “green stripe” smallishbeans probably dyed his hair with ease, but Etho might’ve needed a little help. I mean, when you die and come back from the dead as evil murderers, you’ve got to get your makeover just right before you go back and kill everyone!

Someone should write a fic about this where they have to stand really close to each other for Joel to dye Ethos hair properly and they’re weird and gay about it. <- whoa who said that.
