never thought I'd be thirsting after a 500+ years old but here we are
I have a lot of thoughts about the final of Bungou Stray dogs s5. It seems to me Fyodor is not some temporary villain. He is one of the smartest characters of the story. He is the walking mystery. And what we have in the final? He is unable to notice contact lenses? I love Chuuya with all my heart, but I don't believe he could beat Dostoevsky with his acting (but he did it well with Verlaine btw). Chuuya has little control over his emotions, it's hard to believe that he could pretend for such a long amount of time. Why other vampires didn’t notice Chuuya is still a human? Is it because Chuuya is probably not a biological human? We still don't know anything about Fyodor's ability. It doesn't make any sense to lose a character with such potential. Dostoevsky's ability can be connected with the singularity. I'm betting that his last words "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" were related to the activation of his ability (in full form) in a similar way how Chuuya activates corruption.
Fyodor's "death" looks strange. Our attention is drawn to Fyodor's hand. And his hand plays a big role in using his ability. It looks like a Chekhov gun that has to fire.
In my opinion, Dazai won too easy. I would like to see how Dazai's plan collapses, but it always turns out that he has everything under control from the very beginning. And what about Sigma? His last meeting with Fyodor left a lot of questions.

Quick question, how do you guys think Nikolai dresses, in like a no powers, normal lifes au (my college au). I have a vision for what styles each of them would go for but Nikolai! I can't think of anything for him (other than the adidas sweatpants™ of course)!
I feel like every BSD fan is a Mitski fan. Like being a part of the BSD fandom comes with becoming a Mitski fan if you weren't one already. A 1 + 1 package deal if you will. As if the manga and the light novels aren't making us sad enough we also have to get our daily dose of Francis Forever. And don't even get me started on our national anthem I Bet On Losing Dogs.

College au shenanigans, winter edition:
Fyodor's anemic ass freezes to death so he wears a bunch of layers
Dazai hates the winter because seasonal depression gets him every time. He also despises the cold and freezes easily so a bunch of layers and the scarf that Chuuya almost strangels him with every morning it is.
Chuuya (Dazai's personal heater) doesn't get cold easily but he still overdress because he's a fashion icon ✨️.
Nikolai doesn't fear the cold, the cold fears him! He walks around in a t-shirt like a psychopath but still carries his jacket around in case Dos - kun needs it.
Sigma can't stand the summer heat so the winter is like a blessing to him. He dresses cozily and is in a seemingly better mood untill he sees Nikolai emerging outside in his t-shirt.

Me - ready to beg him on my knees because I can't handle mourning another one of my precious babygirls and it's almost Christmas anyways, miracles can happen right guys?... *on the verge of tears - Right?
The colleges AU saga continues! 👏 No like seriously, this is a direct continuation of the previous post (nevermind the fact that I drew this one first). Anyways they had gathered in Sigma's apartment to study for a group project but ended up playing board games and nerly burning the apartment down (Sigma has officially banned them of playing board games in his apartment now), hair braiding while some of them, *cough *cough fyolai *cough, passionately making out in the corner. It wasn't all that bad untill Fyodor pulled out a bottle of vodka, seemingly out of thin air, and oh well, the rest is history!
Number one mistake not to make in the BSD fandom: DO NOT BELIEVE THE FANDOM!
Seriously, on a daily basis I come across some bullshit that soneone genuinely decided is canon and post or comment about and so many people end up falling for it. While in reality they are just delusional and can't make the difference between canon and HEADcanon and are spreading misinformation. I just think it's sad, especially because newer fans (but not only) are more prone to believeing them, and it just ends up tilting their vision about a certain character, event or relationship. Not to mention them contributing to spread that misinformation further. I've also not come across that volume of delusion in any other fandom before. So in conclusion my question is, WHY???
Since you guys seemed to like the incorrect quote thing and my college AU a lot, I decided to combine the two this time. Here's the funniest stuff i gathered.
Let me introduce you to my College AU 👏 I randomly tought of this some time after watching the events in Merasault. Just wanted to take the sillies and put them into a situation where they didn't need to kill each other. Now they do this instead of studying for their exams.

It’s funny how the characters idealize each other was reversed in real life like Fyodor was inspired by Nikolai and Akutagawa inspired Dazai and so many more.
If Nikolai killed fyodor and fyodor became him it would be is ultimate freedom he would be free from his body and emotions as fyodor would takeover and peal off his skin removing Nikolai’s “overcoat”
Fyodor’s ability is probably referencing many of his works like The Double and The Possessed and The Dream of a Ridiculous Man. Many of his other traits like gambling and the Sky Casino could come from his works like The Gambler. There are also shared themes with his works like The Grand Inquisitor with freedom.
I can’t help but think of Fyolai when I remember the story Dostoevsky wrote titled A Faint Heart
Does anyone else connect Fyodor Dostoevsky in the most recent stuff with Baba Yaga and other Russian/Slavic folklore? I know the irl Dostoevsky referenced folklore in his works. Maybe there is some connection. Both Fyodor and Baba Yaga are associated with skulls and are “immortal”. We see the two side of Fyodor in dead apple while he is “crime” is ability refers to its self as “punishment” which can be seen as life and death. Baba Yaga is a goddess of birth and death. There is the Cannibalism Arc in bsd while Baba Yaga is a cannibal. They both transform Fyodor takes over Bram’s body and Baba Yaga is a shapeshifter. Both are extremely smart and manipulative. Fun fact Baba Yaga can take the form of a bird. ;) Nikolai and birds ;)
