ok i have some bsd thoughts that i need to get out of my system

imagine how much more impactful it would've been if dazai didn't know that chuuya was just pretending to be a vampire. IMAGINE THE ANGST. dazai thought that he mostly had the situation under control. sure, he couldn't control everything, but there weren't that many wild variables in the prison, right? boom fyodor reveals his hidden card, so dazai starts to get desperate. this was the one thing he wasn't prepared for. he was so sure that chuuya was going to be safe outside, and why didn't ango tell him that chuuya was turned into a vampire? but suddenly he feels the gravity changing in the elevator. maybe chuuya was still in there somewhere, maybe he could bring chuuya back to him. so that's why he starts his speech. but no, chuuya fires the shot. just as he's about to give up and hope that the ada can save the world without him, he feels the bullets being stopped right before they hit him, just like how chuuya used to stop them whenever they did their little act. AND THEN CHUUYA LAUGHS AT HIM AND PATCHES HIM UP AFTER THEY MAKE SURE THAT FYODOR ISN'T WATCHING ANYMORE AAAHHHHH

also who's gonna get transferred WAS THAT JUST A FUNNY LITTLE JOKE MORI MADE CAUSE HE WAS IN ON DAZAI'S PLAN OR WHAT HELLOOOOOOO I NEED TO KNOW

I have a lot of thoughts about the final of Bungou Stray dogs s5. It seems to me Fyodor is not some temporary villain. He is one of the smartest characters of the story. He is the walking mystery. And what we have in the final? He is unable to notice contact lenses? I love Chuuya with all my heart, but I don't believe he could beat Dostoevsky with his acting (but he did it well with Verlaine btw). Chuuya has little control over his emotions, it's hard to believe that he could pretend for such a long amount of time. Why other vampires didn’t notice Chuuya is still a human? Is it because Chuuya is probably not a biological human? We still don't know anything about Fyodor's ability. It doesn't make any sense to lose a character with such potential. Dostoevsky's ability can be connected with the singularity. I'm betting that his last words "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" were related to the activation of his ability (in full form) in a similar way how Chuuya activates corruption.

Fyodor's "death" looks strange. Our attention is drawn to Fyodor's hand. And his hand plays a big role in using his ability. It looks like a Chekhov gun that has to fire.

In my opinion, Dazai won too easy. I would like to see how Dazai's plan collapses, but it always turns out that he has everything under control from the very beginning. And what about Sigma? His last meeting with Fyodor left a lot of questions.

I would truly like to believe that the last episode will still feature stuff from the main plot. We know asagiri works very closely with Bones and it's possible that he gave the studio information about the plot beyond chapter 110. It'll be like a surprise for both anime onlys and manga readers.

Did anyone else notice Bram calling Aya "girl" before he told her to run? The word he used for "girl" is "musume" which according to my severely limited knowledge of Japanese means daughter.

1. Dazai: it makes no narrative sense to make him join the Port Mafia again, when he left at his own accord. The reason he left and changed himself as a person was because of his promise to Oda and him getting back to the Mafia takes all the weight from that promise. We already have a BSD 15 manga that's about Dazai being in the Mafia and the skk shenanigans, we honestly don't need more. Mori seems like he wants Dazai back in the Mafia, in a keep your friends close and your enemies closer fashion. Dazai going back to the Mafia can be interesting, but it's not good for Dazai's character arc. (Still has a chance)

2. Atsushi: since he is the protagonist, it makes the most sense for him to get transferred. Just like how we saw the ins and outs of ADA, we get to see how the current Mafia works on the regular basis. It would be interesting to see his interactions with Mori. We definitely like SSKK team up, now they will be in the same team too (maybe that's why the last scene of S5 they are working together, the transfer already happened). I want Canon Atsushi and Chuuya to interact!!! Their dynamic in Wan gives me so much serotonin.

3. Kunikida: while he can be quite a good asset, his ideals are too important for him to actually do something against it for the PM. He is a bit like Oda in that respect, a Mafia member who won't kill.

4. Ranpo: doesn't have abilities but his smarts is what makes him stand out among the rest of the ADA. But the biggest value in him is that he is practically Fukuzawa's son, someone whom he cares for greatly. Making Ranpo transfer to PM would be a huge slap on the face for Fukuzawa.

5. Junichiro: is the most hinted to actually join the PM. He is also the only ADA member to openly say his abilities could suit the Mafia and he might transfer there if no one else does. It's clear he has quite the violent side to him and the instincts to kill. He could be an interesting addition to the PM, and it paves the way for Tanazaki's backstory. I also wonder if Naomi would join the PM too, or she would stay with the ADA opposing her brother or leave the agency to remain neutral.

6. Kenji: is a highly unlikely choice for the PM. He has a strong ability but his personality isn't simply suited for Mafia. Although it would be funny to watch Kenji change the Mafia's heart and have innocent fun.

7. Kyouka: another ex-mafia member. She is a good choice, as her ability is really strong and good for the mafia. But since she too left (kicked out); her going back doesn't add to her character. While it might seem like Kouyou can influence Mori to take Kyouka back, but she already has accepted that Kyouka should stay in the light and stay away from the Mafia lifestyle (Aku also wants Kyouka to be happy).

Maybe Asagiri pulls another card and makes Fukuzawa transfer so he can complete his old man Yaoi arc with Mori, who knows? (/j)

Why do you think Fyodor chose Chuuya specifically as his accomplice?

Maybe all that time in prison he heard Dazai constantly hyping Chuuya up and gushing about him. He heard about their shenanigans and the amount of trust they had in eachother. Maybe Dazai was just complaining and pouring his heart out about their complicated relationship.

And Fyodor thought it would be funny as hell and so much drama if Dazai gets killed by his own partner.

Dazai: And he didn't even kiss me after I went out of the way to recreate snow white!

Fyodor *fake gasp*: no shit, that's toxic!

Dazai: I know right, we never work it out :(

Fyodor: hey, maybe I could get you guys to meet and talk it all out....

Dazai: you would???

Fyodor, *evil smile* : of course, what else are enemies for?

Dazai: thanks bro, you're the best!

Dazai, in his head: Just as planned, he fell right into the trap or I say.....rat hole......ah that was a bad one

Dazai, in his head: I better call Mori and ask him to get Chibi a hot new outfit, he needs to look good for my confessions.....and the best part is he can't even deny or reject me when he is acting as a vampire...hehe. I should go practice my speeches.

Headcanon (spoilers S5!!!): The reason we don't see Dazai being suicidal (I don't remember a single suicide joke in S5) anymore is because during his time in prison he had therapy sessions with Fyodor and started to change for better. That is why he says to Fyodor "You can't kill me" because he doesn't want to die anymore. It's Dazai showing his appreciation for the therapy sessions by killing Fyodor. What a wonderful friendship.

He was hanging out with him this whole time like a normal dude, he could have easily just let him drown....

I mean at first glance this whole plot twist: “turns out he wasn’t a vampire at all!“ sounds cool and hot, but then you start thinking and it actually makes no sense :/

If their goal was just to kill Fyodor and Dazai knew that his ability works only with touch SO WHY CHUUYA COULDN’T JUST SHOOT HIM??? So they LET him kill that poor cat-lady thief with time ability and (probably) Sigma too?

Just imagine .

*before the whole Meursault - prison - game - gay arch*:

Dazai: Hey, so can you like dress up like a sexy rocker vampire and come to pick me up from prison? Btw you will need to kill around 20 innocent bodyguards and pretend like you obey Fyodor’s orders.

Chuuya: Oh, cool, so then when we will be alone with Fyodor I can just shoot him?

Dazai: Mmmmm, no. It’s not funny at all. You will need to stay with him till the end, so he will think that he won. Oh, and also a couple of cool characters will probably die.

Chuuya: Okay.... so then I will kill him?

Dazai: Noooo, of course not, I believe that he will crash on a helicopter, but it will happen only if someone really small and cute will decide to sacrifice themselves... I actually have no idea who it will be.

Chuuya: .... so what’s the point of all of this?

Dazai: Well, I will say a cool speech about our partnership, a strong bond and loyalty to each other and also how I don’t care about your death at all. And youuuu will be able to “shoot“ me in the head. And I will break my leg. And dance with some guy with a cool haircut.

Chuuya: .... sounds good for me. I’m in.

The Final of these arch is one of the best that I’ve ever seen in anime.

I’m happy for Dazai and Chuuya.... but OH MY GOD

this dialog between Fukuzawa and Fukuchi is one of the best written dialogs in anime.

Also their last fight ist stunningly staged.

I’ve never thought that these two old uncles can become my favourite characters.

I don’t even wanna see next season. Just let me stay with my sad lonely grandpa and his dead best friend at this airport until the end of time.
