When demisexuals and demiromantics say people criticise them for being "picky", I find it so bizarre. Like,

"Finish your whole boyfriend or you won't get any dessert"

"If you don't go out with her you'll get her cold for breakfast"

"I'm not going to make a separate spouse for everyone in this house, you'll marry what you're given".

"Think of the starving incels!"

I mean... a relationship is not a poorly-cooked family dinner that you have to choke down or you'll offend grandma. You're supposed to be picky.

I think there’s both a stereotype and an expectation in the queer community that relationships must move fast. You met each other yesterday and now you’re moving in together.
