Been thinking a lot about how there are so many parallels between Castlevania and Epic the Musical lately.
I cannot express how badly I need someone to draw, animate, edit, or cosplay Dracula and Lisa seeing each other again in Hell after Alucard kills him, with Would You Fall In Love With Me Again? from EPIC.
You cannot tell me it doesn't match them perfectly.

hello and welcome to my 100% Scientific Evaluation of Various Dracula Films! my credentials are that i recently read the novel and am now firmly in the clutches of a vampire obsession, have too much free time, and never grew out of my goth phase.
ill be rating each adaptation (using a completely arbitrary and subjective 10-point scale) on how faithful it is to the book, how gothic it is in terms of aesthetics, and how much i personally liked it overall. ill also be rating - and this is crucial - how hot each film’s version of count dracula is, because im gay and i have a crush on him.

Hello. My name is Count D’racula Dementia Vampyr Way. I have long white teeth (that’s how I got my name) and a long white moustache with white streaks that reaches my mid back and red eyes like limpid blood and a lot of people tell me I look like my predecessor Dracula (if you don’t know who he is get da hell out of here!!) I’m not related to Attila but I wish I was cause he’s a major fucking hottie. I’m a vampire and my teeth are long and white. I have pale white skin. I’m also a Count, and I live in a creepy castle in Transylvania where I’ve been for quite some time (I’m an age.) I’m a Goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and the blood of every conqueror ever flows through my veins. I’m also a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. For example today I was wearing a black shirt, black trousers, a black cape, and black mid-thigh boots. I was wearing no makeup. I was walking around inside my castle. It was nighttime which I was very happy about. An English lawyer stared at me. I threw his shaving mirror out the window.
One thing about Dracula is he's trying to play it cool but he's gotta be FREAKING OUT.
Mina keeps popping up to stop him from eating Lucy. When Mina's gone, some random ass guy (Van Helsing) shows up knowing exactly how to repel him. Turns out, Van Helsing is an old friend of Drac's new neighbor Dr. Seward, who once counted the random girl Dracula chose to eat. Then, some American starts lurking around shooting at him whenever he's a bat, turns out that's another of his snack's former boyfriends. Turns out all these people are friends with Mina because of course they are. Then he finds out that Mina's married to his LAWYER? Who he thought was dead?
He decides to get to the bottom of all of this, he breaks into their house and comes across...notes. Notes on everything he's done so far, itemized, categorized and dated. Notes on where he's been what he's done, who he's seen, everything. Notes on what works against him, his powers, his weaknesses, they know more about him than he does.
It's suddenly clear to him that these people want him dead, and only their caution has kept him alive so far.
Then these people in one night suddenly wipe almost all of his lairs off the board and his wimpy ass lawyer tries to cut him open with a big ass knife. He only survived by slim luck.
Drac talks a big game, but he's gotta be sweating

Do you guys remember how kidnap fantasies were popular on wattpad because young girls and queer teens were both made to feel shame at the thought of their own sexualities, so the fantasy of being kidnapped totally against their will was a way for them to engage with a romantic or sexual fantasy without feeling morally in the wrong for doing so? Added bonus that the fantasy involved being whisked away from repressive environments like home or school, right?
Finding out that Bram Stoker was in a sexless marriage and that scholars believe that he very likely was closeted gay puts the entire book into perspective as to WHY it reads EXACTLY like a self insert wattpad Dracula kidnap fic:
“I TOTALLY love my wife and would never do anything that an upstanding Good Straight Working Man wouldn’t do but oh nooo, big strong man with broad back and strong enough arms to carry me back to bed like a princess trapped me and claimed me as his, completely against my will 👉👈 But he protects me against the bad evil sexual women (who I assure you, I am TOTALLY sexually attracted to, as any straight man with a choice would be) but trust me, I do NOT want ANY of this. What’s that? The Count is not capable of feeling love? Would be a shame if I had the special ability to change tha-”

ok yes i know he was only there for like a minute and at the end and we will probs get more of Alucard in the next season but DANM MY BOY!
The fact that in the Castlevania he is only called Alucard and not Adrian is because of Dracula and his legacy that Alucard doesn't even want to be associated with but is constantly forced into.
AND THEN Annette (my love) doesn't even know who Dracula is!? They all know Alucard, even if they thought he was a myth but they don't know Dracula,the dude who he got his "name" from.
Anyway they have to explore this in the next seasons or else im releasing @shypapermentality onto the writers

I came up with very simple
Mini game for chudpol. As I’ve previously said in my schizobabble I wanted to transform the site into arcade themed imageboard. This game is relatively based on mafia and I wanted to integrate the novel Shiki, both because I like the Toshio Ozaki arc and thought it would be nice touch to have vampires in mafia based setting.
Little biography, when I was young I enjoyed playing mafia on different sites, its very popular where I lived. I am sure also in Ukraine too, it even has ace attorney based server with lots of collected roles and I had lots of experience with Town of Salem and epicmafia, generally outside of games like Dark Souls and EUIV, it was one of major timewasters in summers.
The game is Vampyrs or something similar,
The mysterious foreigners migrate to a village. You must find and execute all of evil entities, aka vampires in the game.
Vampire - during day can speak limited amount of words, he can visit multiple places but slower pace/limited times, sending PMs doesnt waste wordcount. During night he can decide to hunt with other vampires, removing villager.
Dhampir - half-vampire who doesn’t have same limitations, he is the same as normal human in that regard, at night he can choose to kill with others and choose to visit places and do certain actions. He is assistant to vampires in that regard, for example he can dig a grave reviving another player.
The game consists of multiple places that villagers can change between, but it takes a form of interactive chat, I want to go budget easy so.
Villagers have simple roles of lynching during day, they can choose not to and detectives can find alignment of characters doctors can treat patients that have been bitten and some villagers have % to turn into vampire, it is casual in difficulty sense. Hope you enjoy that idea, it will be themed though.

i stumbled across your post about bran castle and it got me thinking maybe the entrance has changed over the years?
Hi there! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention :)
Renovations and the layout changing completely skipped my mind when i made the original post, so I did some digging for you to find out if anything has changed with Bran Castle’s entrence over the year.
For starters I look into the history of the castle itself, and found a lot of information about it going through many renovations in order to repair the castle, due to it once being used as a military stronghold.
So for the most part nothing crazy, and we know that Bram Stoker never actually visited the castle either before or during the writing of Dracula.
Moving on I decided to look less at the history of the castle itself, and more specifically at any drastic changes to the castle itself.
The main source I could find on the entrence moving was Adventure Transylvania, and yes! The entrance did move!
The only issue is that because Bran Castle was used for fighting purposes, from what we know about the old bridge, it was absolutely not suitable for say, a carriage holding fan favorite British real estate agent Johnathan Harker.
Moving on, on the post itself you mentioned that Bran Castle has a courtyard, and while this is true surprise surprise there’s an Issue™️.
This is the quote in the book where Johnathan first describes the courtyard.
“In the gloom the courtyard looked of considerable size, and as several dark ways led from it under great round arches, it perhaps seemed bigger than it really is.”
Let’s start with the accurate parts about this:
1. There’s a courtyard. Good job
2. There are arches in the courtyard
And that’s it.
The courtyard itself isn’t that big, and due to something we’ll get to later, in no way could have a carriage drive around in it.
Since there’s no records of the dimensions of Bran Castle (and trust me I’ve LOOKED), I’ve used the magic of the google earth ruler to measure the courtyard. By itself that seems large but when the average courtyard is approximately 3,000ft^2, it’s 100% on the small size.
As for the other reason…
There’s a massive step/divide in the courtyard and a well
So yeah TL;DR the castle entrance did move, but it’s never been carriage accessible and neither is the courtyard :)

If you didn’t know, Dracula’s castle is/based on the real place Bran’s Castle in Romania.
Guys this castle is on a fucking cliff.
Johnathan described his arrival at castle drac as having a courtyard “of considerable size”, and right as he exited the carriage, being right next to the entrance.
You want to know what the ACTUAL entrance of Bran’s castle looks like???

Honestly there’s probably an issue regarding his super fancy octagonal room next to a dining hall but I don’t care enough to analyze blueprints and photos of the castle’s interior to find out.
Great Mouse Detective version of Dracula happening simultaneously as the events of Dracula, so there’s just five mice in Victorian clothes unnoticed by the human cast desperately trying to kill a bat.
The speed that Jonathan just accepts Count Dracula can climb walls is so funny to me.
