Curate, connect, and discover
Recently I decided to draw the characters of my followers in my telegram channel, so here it is <3
Well, I hate everything that's going on with AIs right now. It's gone too far, especially for artists who are now very easily overwhelmed by the large number of AI varieties and it's insanely frustrating. Will we even have one app left without AIs stealing our work?
everything is fine : )
As soon as I had the thought, doing that meme with Kai and his fire chicken seemed kinda obvious to me?
Had a lot of fun with the coloring. I keep swapping art styles, but not sticking to one style makes me feel free art wise at least :>
Something I hear a lot when people are looking at like abstract contemporary art or something is they’ll go “pssh I could do that” as a way to invalidate the artist because something “easy” should never be in a museum or even be called art at all right?
Wrong!!
Yes you absolutely could do that and you should! Art doesn’t need to be hard or even look good it’s just another way of expressing an idea. Like you can literally take a pencil and scribble rough jagged lines all over a page just because you’re mad. That’s still art!
Just because something is in a museum doesn’t inherently make it better than something the average person could do. Like the art industry has been commodified so hard that yall don’t see that you can just pick up and pencil and make marks and that’s art and it’s fun!! Let art be fun!!

STARTER PACK
“oh but ai makes art more accessible!”, unless you need chatgpt to also fuck your wife for you you can engage in a basic human desire for once in your life and pick up a pencil :))
Ai "artists" suck :/
Like i get wanting to create sth but just learn art instead!!! First Ai steals artists work without permission and then replaces them, it's just shitty.
Like either pay an artist or become one, ai should have been something to make creating art easier not something that replaces artists and steals their work
i wish all the ai “artists” a very go. die
the last refuge
Same person, different time - 🍁
Y’all random talk! What type of artist are you? Digital? Traditional? What apps do you use if you are a digital artist? What pens, markers, and pencils do you use if you’re a traditional artist?
Little late to this trend
How i love pixel arts and the artists...
I just love how sometimes when you search “art” in your phone’s photo roll (at least on iPhones), a few of your selfies show up. Like yes, you are art. I am art. The phone’s little code to sort your photos certainly thinks so. There’s something so sweet and gentle about that reminder and I find myself being just a tad kinder to myself when it happens.
Is it just me, or is ArtStation's policy update for AI not sufficient?
I shouldn't have to go back and tag every piece to opt out. That should be the default. This feels like a flimsy band-aid on the situation. To me, they are effectively siding against artists' rights to choose to participate in Ai by making the default option "yes."
Yes, I would love for my work to be used against my will and profited off of since I didn't tag every piece!
This is not acceptable.
a little lighting study
sculpture by fred fichet? supposedly? hmu if you know the artist cuz I sure don’t ;-;
had the urge to draw a weird skrunkly old woman so
Her name is terry and this is the expression she made when the police showed up at her door to arrest her for tax fraud. She invited them in for tea. Then she put horse tranqulizer in their tea
My contribution to the starter pack trend :D
Not the best, but better than shitty ai slop
I'm rewatching all the spidermans and I know I'm late, but i love this trend, i love how ppl can be creative doing this.
Soooo I wanted to redo my spidersona, so this is it.
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed drawing it ^^
P.s. "Uffa" in italian is a word for the emotion behind the sound "ugh".
I don't like AI. Sure, it can do things instantly when a human would take months to do it. But that's not the point of art. Art is to express your creativity and thought process. AI strips all that away. Why would I want to look at a painting that was made in two seconds and looks off when I could marvel at one that looks ethereal and I know took the artist weeks of missing sleep and doubting and smeared colours on a canvas? Why would I want to read a flat book with over exaggerated things when I can read one that had wondering walks in a park behind it. That had hours of sitting in a beanbag thinking of another word for "say" because you used it thrice in the last two paragraphs already, that had early morning at IHOP shoveling pancakes into your mouth scribbling an idea onto a slightly dirty napkin only to realize that the idea's already been written before?
AI strips away the soul and heart that makes a piece if work so awe-inspiring. It's dead. Hollow. Utterly useless and undeserving of being compared to the likes of artists everywhere.
We all making grandpa cry btw
The Ceaseless Grind
Working out some frustration in some design work today. I like this WIP alright enough, might try and find better elements to play with but it was at a point that I figured i'd share it. I normally just photobash or throw some elements I like into Affinity, do some blending work, color correct, and call it a day. Still trying to work on my own design work but drawing/conceptualizing images from nothing is a place in need of improvement on my end.
