Curate, connect, and discover
Eris: Oh, so when crows remember people who wronged them and hold grudges, its "intelligent" and "really cool."
Eris: But when I do it, I'm "petty" and "need to let it go"
I never knew how much I needed this until today
Every time I look back through ACOTAR and the actions Feyre chose I can’t help but think this isn’t her. While this can all be placed on SJM and her horrible writing choices for the plot, book 1 Feyre has changed into the being she hated the first time we met her.
And my favorite theory will continue to be that Feyre is not in control of herself mentally. It’s all Rhysand. That bargain made under the mountain in book one was the beginning of the end for Feyre. And it was a trap that Tamlin and Lucien saw for what it was. But it was too late to save her.
I’d even go so far as to say that Feyre was Tamlin’s mate and that her death and the deal she made with Rhysand altered it so that the universe would believe it was Rhysand who was her mate.
Everything else was just sprinkled in at the right moments and the right times for Rhysand to play the ‘savior’ and pick up the pieces. And when his little puppet pretended that she was being controlled the entire time he genuinely thought she was broken from his spell for that brief moment.
So every little action, degrading outfit, and near death experiences were all a sick and twisted form of revenge against Tamlin. Possibly because they were exes, or for the crimes their fathers committed against each other and the unfortunate demise of Rhysand’s mother and sister.
And the real Feyre is trapped in a prison inside her mind. Watching as everyone and everything is stolen from her. And replaced with people who refuse to disobey their ‘precious high lord.’ A man so wrapped up in his own ego that he doesn’t even bother with 2/3 of his court.

Pairing: Azriel x Eris Vanserra
Summary: Haven’t we all wanted someone to just.. yanno.. sleep with It inside? Eris relates. Az and his large wingspan provide.
A/N: hi loveys, below the divider is 750 words and they are all horny (okay some of them are just bratty and it’s all Eris’s fault 😇)
Biceps strained as Azriel caged Eris’s head with his forearms, his fists dipping the mattress as he rammed his cock forward, hips pistoning powerfully. The angle tormented Eris’s prostate relentlessly. Eris’s unnaturally hot, clenching channel was milking Az for all he was worth, each stroke more pleasurable than the last.
Only a few more thrusts and they’d be wrecked. Four rounds would overwhelm the functions of even the most ethereal fae. He was currently having Eris in a somewhat lazy position, laying his damp ginger hair against silk pillowcase and doing all the work after his beloved had nearly done ballet on his dick for at least two of those undoings.
“Haa- fuck, Eris, coming,” he bit out against Eris’s glistening temple.
“Yes, yesss, come for me Az, give me, harder, more, so good,” Eris goaded Az’s orgasm as if his ass wasn’t heavenly enough to elicit it on its own. A bit overkill really. But eris had always been extraordinarily sensual.
“With me, come with me Eris- fuck, please,” he groaned, trying to prevent post-nut guilt of coming first– or fifth?
“Well, how can I say no? You sound so pretty begging, baby,” Eris praised far too coherently for the position he was in.
Azriel buried himself deep inside Eris’s fluttering hole, his balls slapping almost painfully against Eris’s. An anatomical inconvenience. Worth it.
He spilled, letting go and releasing with Eris’s name on his lips. Eris came with him, painting Azriel’s lower abs in sweltering cum, rarely following an order.
“Fuck- that was…” Az lost his vocabularic reach and began pulling back. The heavenly sight of watching his come drip from Eris’s ruined rim was robbed from him as Eris’s hands pulled on Az’s lower back, grounding him further inside.
“Don’t– don’t leave, not yet, please?” Eris asked, a bit shy.
He stopped his retreating hips, brows raising. “Why would I leave? I’m tired.”
“No you dunce, don’t pull out, I want you to stay inside,” Eris dumbed it down a bit.
Look, it wasn’t Az’s fault his brain was no more than a marsh.
Azriel felt his jaw go slack, huffed through his nose. They’d been doing the debaucherous tango for centuries, why the fuck was this the first time Eris had asked?
“What?” Eris complained, forcing an uncomfortable awareness of how long Azriel had been looking at him like he was crazy for not asking previously. How long had he wanted this?
“What happened to me feeling perfect? You were screaming that earlier–” Ah fuck, he should really say something already, but how could one phrase I want immortal lifetimes marinating inside you without sounding like a freak?
“Of fucking course.” He settled his weight down, melting contently and calling upon the shadows to soften his landing and provide a small cushion, even as he taunted, “But when you wake up to me fucking you, I want a thank you, no whining about being crushed all night.”
Shadows snickered at his posturing as they helped heft him slightly up, still sleek and thin enough for Azriel to feel Eris’s heart thump in time with his, their chests giving and taking space as they breathed each other’s air. Dizzyingly close, or maybe it was the sharing breath thing–
POV switch teehee
Eris woke to soft grunts and shallow thrusts, pleased that Az had stayed and also because he was being fucked. This was hardly the time for thoughts.
“I know you’re awake, can see you smiling,” the spy astutely observed. Eris beamed brighter as he opened his eyes to a pretty, haughtily grinning Shadowsinger.
“You caught me, spare me the handcuffs please, m’still rather tired.”
“I’ll have to save that for later then, but I was very much looking forward to a thank you after all those pleases last night.”
“You can have your thank you when you make me come again,” Eris reasoned, closing his eyes and giving in to the smile betraying his brattiness. It was quite difficult to seem nonchalant when he could practically hear Az’s eyes rolling. His hips rescinded before slamming back in, and Eris gasped, hands clinging around Az’s neck, bracing for more.
“Conditional politeness, how very you of you,” Az husked, setting a pace competing with a sexually frustrated sprinter.
“Hnmn, fuck fuck fuck, hng, earn it.”
And he did, fucking Eris into the headboard until they were both moaning hoarsely and Eris may or may not have screamed THANK YOU like a banshee.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed !! Thank you @the-darkestminds, I am so so grateful for you, love u mami 😘 and thank you @astro-h0e-4azris for sucking off me ego 😏

i think i need more dark azriel. i think i need more irritable, sleep deprived, angry azriel. azriel whose hands shake and you don’t know why, you don’t if it’s stress or anxiety or a deep sated fury he can’t stifle anymore. azriel whose chest rumbles with growls and hisses he is too tired to stifle. bitter azriel. disillusioned azriel. azriel who is too disgusted by everything, by those around and by himself, to play nice anymore. azriel who doesn’t eat, doesn’t drink anymore because he is so….so lost to his ever increasingly dark thoughts that he just…forgets to eat and drink. azriel who can’t sleep—not because he doesn’t want to, but because he can’t, because his shadows have grown darker and needier over the years, wrapping around him and not letting go, sticking to his skin like tar and wriggling in all his thoughts, tainting them, staining them. and azriel lets them, because of course he does, he and the shadows are one, after all, aren’t they? he cares for them. he craves them. he doesn’t mind all that much that they become the only thing he cares about, because the shadows are right. he should be angry. he should be bitter. no one understands him, not really, but the shadows do. they do. and so he spends all his nights awake with them, listening to their whispers, letting them nestle deeper inside of him, until that line he’s always been so aware of, the one that has always separated him from them begins to blur. he doesn’t care. he doesn’t care. and the shadows don’t care very much, either, rather they are almost…happy with this turn of events. and the happiness is a muted thing of course, they cannot be happy, but azriel’s closeness grants them more freedom, and so they begin to roam. they are curious by nature. they like to hoard things. they like to seep and to stain and to steal the light from all their encounter, greedy things that they are.
and so it’s natural that they fixate on eris. eris is bright. eris is warm. eris is as fickle as the flames that play at his fingertips and azriel’s shadows taunt their other half with snippets of dreams and memories they steal from eris; scents and flavours that make saliva pool under azriel’s tongue. he dislikes it at first, of course he does, but the shadows burrow deep inside of him and those snippets of eris that they hoard become azriel’s own secret treasure. and his sanity begins to ravel, obviously. his anger grows, the trembling in his hands worsens. and he can’t blame it on the shadows, because he is the shadows—and so he blames it on eris, because that is easier and sparks an aching, burning hunger in azriel that is better than the hatred, than the numbness that it brings after it spills out of him in violence.
azriel doesn’t stop the obsession when it comes. doesn’t stop the anger, the jealously, the bone deep urge that grows in him to take eris and peel him open, layer by layer, rib by rib; to peer inside of him and learn what his heart tastes like when he sinks his teeth into it. he doesn’t stop it. he doesn’t stop it.
Okay I have a fic brewing for today's @tamlinweek prompt biting/chest, but I don't actually know if it'll be ready to post to AO3 by the end of the day, so I figure I'd give a little snippet now!
This fic is Rhysand/Tamlin, past friends to enemies, present strangers to lovers. There's technically an age gap but Rhys worries about it way more than he actually needs to.
I promise my real post for it will be prettier than this haha. But anyways, the clip is below the cut if you'd like to see what's in store!
It’s maybe a little weird. Or a lot. Rhys can't really tell.
It's definitely a little weird that he's at a high school reunion for a class that he was never a student in, but Mor had asked until he relented, and he loves his cousin enough not to make a big deal about it. Plus, it's basically a form of community engagement. Good PR.
And it’s not like he wasn't curious.
(But Rhys supposes he knows what curiosity does to the cat.)
It probably is weird. He should just let it go. Pretend he didn’t even see that flash of pale hair, that once-familiar smile, the eyes that somehow still look green from afar in the dim throwback-to-homecoming lighting. Rhys knows that he’s become a little dry, distracted, and that people will start noticing, but he just can’t stop searching.
Looking for a trace of the boy he knew ten years ago in the man he sees now.
Tamlin looks practically unreal. His hair has gone from sandy, dirty blonde to vibrant, spun gold, practically platinum in some places. It cascades down past his shoulders, wavy and thick, holding none of the country club pretentiousness that his preppy little swoop had back in high school. His shy grin is the same, but the face it decorates is practically foreign. Angular and distinct, high-definition in human form.
When Rhys first met Tamlin, he’d looked like he was growing like a puppy. Linebacker shoulders that he didn’t seem to know how to grow into, a jawline hidden in lingering baby fat that he hadn’t yet grown out of. He’d always moved with a clear cautiousness, like he didn’t know what to do with his size, a kid piloting a teenage body. With the soft roundness of his face and the unsure gait he walked with, he'd almost appeared small despite his height.
Now, it seems like there’s not a part of him that hadn’t stopped growing since Rhys last saw him.
He fills out his sage green dress shirt like it was tailored to display his form in the most accurate way possible without the stitches ripping. He’s thicker than most average men, his chest curved, arms thick, and hell, even his legs show their definition through his light tan pants. He’s very clearly jacked.
It’s understated enough, though, that he doesn’t look crazy or roided out. Just very carefully crafted, like somewhere along the way, he’d turned himself to stone just to reshape his body into the cut he wanted.
His clean-shaven jaw is now entirely visible and perfectly sharp, not too severe. His cheeks have hollowed a bit as well, but not in a way that suggests cosmetic help. Broad shoulders now have the muscle to make up for it, his large hands finally matching the rest of his body, his strapping chest smoothly leading down to a slim waist, creating a figure that simply dominates among regular layfolk.
And he’s tall. Even taller than he’d been when Rhys graduated, towering over his company, easily clearing six feet.
He’s a man now. Practically a whole different person.
But it still feels so weird. That spark of attraction racing along Rhys’ veins, teasing the inside of his mouth, under his tongue.
If they were strangers, he wouldn’t think twice about it. It’s not that big of a difference.
But the fact is, they’re not strangers. They knew each other, once. When Rhys was already awaiting his acceptance letter from Brown, and Tamlin was fourteen.

Lucien panted, wiping at his bloodied lip with the back of his hand.
Even with the combined efforts of the Illyrian forces and Miryam and Drakon's army, Hybern was still outnumbering them. Pathetically so. But even as his stomach roiled and his heart jerked, Lucien tightened his grip on his sword and continued onward.
If today was to be his last, he would fight like hell.
The hours bled into the next in a wild blur.
Foe after foe fell under his sword, and yet still more appeared.
A shrieking cry erupted from above, and Lucien was sent sprawling across the dirt. He instinctively turned himself onto his back, bringing his vambraced arms up into a cross just in time, the sound of talons against metal setting his teeth on edge. Lucien snarled, grappling frantically for his fallen sword with his free hand.
The harpy's wings beat at the air as it swiped madly at him. It was all he could do to keep a firm grip on its throat, pushing its gaping maw away from his face. His arms screamed under the effort. Flames would not deter the disfigured beast, no matter how intense, and soon he could feel himself weakening under the exertion of using his powers.
But then,
The groan of a war-horn.
It reverberated through his chest.
The beast was distracted by the sound too.
It paused in its attack, confusion marring its features. Lucien took advantage of its distraction, slithering his arm down towards his boot as quick as lightning and drawing out a hunting knife before ramming it into its throat, killing it instantly.
He clambered to his knees, crawling towards his sword with great panting breaths.
A second groan of the war horn. Then a third.
He twisted his head round, eyes straining.
It was- Mother and Cauldron above…
High on the cliff's edge...
It was Tamlin.
And- no, it couldn't be…
Autumn was there too, their scarlet banners whipping wildly from the steady flaps of the gryphon horde waiting in the skies above.
The sight was enough to bring tears to Lucien's eyes.
Tamlin wore no helm, and carried no shield. He wore no armour at all. Only his favoured cuirass and vambraces, made from supple leather the colour of the forest.
"Gods damned idiot," Lucien breathed.
Stupid though he was, Tamlin cut a formidable figure, flanked on both sides by the beasts and fae of Spring's army.
Along the cliff's edge, the warriors beat at their painted chests with throaty cries, their weapons shining in the sunlight. Lucien thrust his own sword into the air, screaming until it felt like his lungs would give out. Hope flooded his veins for the first time that day.
As Lucien watched, Tamlin raised one arm and the air seemed to freeze, every being coiled and prepared to strike. Then, with a sharp cry, he sliced his arm through the air.
Hundreds upon hundreds of shrieking gryphons dove from the skies, their talons glinting as they sliced through Hybern's army. Centaurs galloped down the ragged cliffside, brandishing wicked swords. Nymphs and dryads rode atop the backs of wolves and bears, daggers and bows gleaming in their hands.
And in the thick of it all, their High Lord.
For a moment he stood alone on the edge, his hair whipping like a golden silk about his face. Then he ran, leaping off of the cliff. At the last possible moment, Tamlin flicked his wrists, bending and shaping the land to his will.
Columns of earth and stone rose to meet his nimble feet. He swept through the battlefield, the dancing movements of his fingers sending devastating shockwave after shockwave through Hybern's forces, the soldiers flung in every which way into the neat paths of the diving gryphons.
In the sky behind him, Lucien could spot Rhysand flapping midair, caught in a trance.
Tamlin's arms rested lightly by his sides, then slowly, he began to raise them.
It was a quiet rumble at first, so soft he could barely feel it. But then the earth began to shake, in great waves of energy that pulsed and reverberated up from his feet to his chest. Louder and louder, a crescendo of pure noise. It rattled his teeth and sent his stomach lurching.
Then everything stopped. The battlefield froze, a thousand hearts barely daring to beat.
And then the earth split apart with a horrible, thundering crack.
Lucien stumbled to his knees, his ears ringing.
An ugly chasm tore across the battlefield like a gaping maw. Those of Hybern's men that weren't dragged into the chasm's depths were thrown violently through the air, where the gryphons awaited them.
Disjointed screams of pain echoed up, bloodied arms clawing at the earth, struggling to pull themselves free. The nymphs rode swiftly by, yipping triumphantly as they loosed arrow after arrow into their trembling hands. dropping them into the cool depths.
For Spring.
For all that Hybern had taken from them.
A laugh tore itself free from Lucien's throat.
Hybern would fall today.
Once and for all.

Feyre bargains for Rhysand's life.
But all magic comes at a price, some more costly than others.
_______________________________________________
“...Please. I will- I will give you anything.”
Tamlin raised his head at that, finally looking up from the pale corpse of Rhysand.
“Anything?”
“You’d best be careful.” Mor warned, stepping forward.
“Quiet.” He snarled, the single word cracking in the air like a whip.
Mor's lip curled, but then she dropped her eyes to the golden threads of magic twining between his fingers.
Pulsing. Rumbling.
Her fingers tightened around her blade, but not another word left her lips.
“Just bring him back.” Feyre begged, twisting her hands into Rhysand’s clothes.
“Please, just bring him back.”
Tamlin knelt beside the lifeless body of her mate. “Are you certain what you ask of me?”
Feyre stared up at him with wild, unseeing eyes. “I am. I will give you anything.”
“Do you swear it?”
“I do,” she whispered. Feyre looked up into Tamlin's face.
"I do."
His lips curled into a smile, and it was almost tender.
“I want the Night Court.”
“No!’’
“Feyre, don’t!”
Mor made to step between them yet again, but Feyre stopped her with a tattooed arm, blocking her path.
“Yes. I accept.”
Cries of dismay wrenched themselves from the throats of the Inner Circle, utterly hopeless as Feyre reached out her other hand; unblemished with nightly ink, clasping Tamlin's hand tightly in hers.
“It is done,” he murmured.
A shroud of smoke ensconced Rhysand’s body, lifting him into the air. Feyre cried out, stumbling back as the cloud swirled around him. A tendril of silver began to wind its way out of the cloud, twinkling as if it had been spun from the stars themselves. It reached towards Tamlin like a vine. He took it into his hand tenderly and it lay there, seeping into his skin until he glowed like a star.
And then there was utter stillness.
From the farthest corners of Prythian to the now crumpled wall, the wind rumbled with a single name…
Tamlin Silverthorne, the Stone-hearted, Killer of the Never-Fading-Flower, Protector of the Emerald lands,
High Lord of Spring and Night.

Tamlin Week
Day 1: Forgiveness
Tamlin knew every leaf and every sapling in the Spring Court. He could feel the wind every time it rustled a shrub, taste every wave of water as it crashed against the rocks of babbling streams. He was the Spring Court, and so he felt Eris’ polished boots burning into his soil, felt the daisies dying under his careless steps.
Tamlin prowled closer to investigate, still in his beast form with blood matting his mane from the game of his hunt. He found Eris scowling at a thorny branch that had got caught on his pristine tailcoat. He must have heard Tamlin’s heavy paws thudding against the ground because he quickly yanked himself free and straightened his posture. The disgruntled arch of his brows remained as they locked eyes and Eris took in Tamlin’s monstrous form.
Eris tutted. “Still as untamed as ever, I see.”
Tamlin leaned closer in reply, quietly prideful that Eris flinched, even if it was just for a split second. He grunted, making a strand of Eris auburn hair fall out of place.
“What, don’t tell me you’re here to tame me?” When Eris didn’t so much as laugh, he grumbled, “why are you here?”
Eris tucked the wayward strand of hair behind his pointed ear. “I’m the heir of the Autumn Court. Can I not visit my ally?”
“As the heir of the Autumn Court you should know that you shouldn’t cross a court’s boarder’s without an invitation. Ally or not. And I’m not convinced we are allies.”
Eris didn’t even have the decency to pretend to be disappointed. “Aren’t we?”
“No, not when you insist on getting cozy with the Night Court.” Tamlin shook his head, not able to hide how he was disappointed. He had always begrudgingly admired Eris. His father could never resist pointing Eris out at every gathering— not that he needed to, even in his youth Eris carried himself well and dressed even better, with eyes that seemed to pierce Tamlin to the ground he stood on and a laugh so wicked Tamlin found himself praying for salvation. Eris was the pinnacle of what a High Lord wanted in a son, where Tamlin was… to put it politely, terribly lacking in nearly every aspect. So to think of Eris making deals with the Night Court was unbelievable. Nearly. “I suppose your father really was right about cock from the Night Court being persuasive.” Tamlin’s chuckle was too weak to convince either of them that he found any amusement in the jibe. “Just get off my land. I don’t want anymore Vanserra blood on my hands.” With a flick of his tail he began to stomp off, only to find Eris striding beside him.
“It really isn’t,” Eris said, staring straight ahead as they approached the crumbling walls of the manor. “I wouldn’t expect you to understand my motivations but just know that I’m not doing this naively. I have a plan.”
“You always do.”
Eris’ eyes flickered to Tamlin’s. “Unlike some.”
“If that is what you choose to believe of me.” Tamlin didn’t have energy to argue anymore. People thought he was a lot of things these days. There was a time when he cared but that time had passed, like all things do.
“Are you saying I’m wrong?”
Tamlin sighed as he came to a halt at the manor’s vine tangled doors. “I’m saying I’m tired. Goodbye Eris.” When Eris refused to move, only stare him down with a frown, Tamlin added, “You don’t need to keep checking in on me. I’m fine. Whatever responsibility you feel you have to me, feel free to forget about it.”
“I’d hardly call it responsibility. More like pity.”
“I can reject you, would that make it easier?” Tamlin didn’t mean for his words to have as much venom as they did. He steeled himself for a fiery comeback.
“For you it might. I suppose you and all of Prythian would love to see me driven to insanity.” He ground out, his cheeks hearing with rage. Without warning Eris tugged at the bond, making Tamlin quiver so much he shifted out of his beast form. Eris’ eyes slipped down Tamlin’s naked form, his grip on the bond burning hot.
“You know that’s not what I want.” Tamlin tried not to melt under Eris’ gaze, tried to ignore the way his skin prickled as Eris’ grip on the bond became almost tender as he stepped closer.
“What do you want?”
“Nothing. I’ve never wanted anything from you. I’m sorry that you were unfortunate enough to be tied to me, all because that damned cauldron sees me as a female, just because I have the capability to shift into one. I want you to just pretend this thing between us isn’t there. I want you to be as happy as your cold heart is capable of and I’ll try the same.” Before Eris could utter a word Tamlin pushed open the door. Inside servants and members of the court bustled about. Plant life spilled out from every crack of stone. Paintings and fine pottery lined the walkways and there wasn’t a single blemish on any chair or cushion. Every sentry was in their place and all bowed politely at their High Lord. The manor was perfect, at least in Tamlin’s eyes and he learnt over time that that was all that mattered.
“What, were you expecting me to live in a shithole?”
“Well… yes. All anyone has been talking about is how run down your court is.” Eris brushed his thumb over a red rose that clung to the wall. “When did you do all this?”
Tamlin shrugged. “A while. And as far as anyone else is aware my court is still in ruins. I’ve put up a veil so to outsiders it seems as if I’m living with nothing but rubble and dust. I couldn’t risk another attack. I figured if everyone still believed I’d succumbed to defeat they’d leave me and my people alone. So far we’ve remained unbothered so it seems to working.”
Eris blinked back at Tamlin in disbelief. “How— how did you even find the strength to do it?”
Tamlin paused for a while before answering, “I suppose I just forgave myself, which maybe I don’t deserve, but I can’t undo all I’ve done. All I can do is try my best to take care of my people and my court. I’ve decided that I’m just going to try and move on. I’ve made mistakes and maybe I’m a monster but this monster has a court to oversee and people who depend on me.”
Eris forced himself to turn away. “How noble.” Was all he could muster. Eris refused to look Tamlin in the eye and Tamlin was much the same, too afraid in case he might see something of himself in there.
“It would do you good to try the same. I won’t pretend to know all your secret and misdeeds, but I do think you’ve suffered enough. Try forgiving yourself, just for something small every day and then work your way up to the big stuff. It sounds ridiculous but it helps. It’s freeing.”
Eris’ expression hardened, his lips curling into a snarl. “It’s just that easy, huh? Well I hope you can forgive me for being blunt but I really don’t think I’ll be taking life lessons from you while you’ve still got your whole ass out in front of your court.” Eris crossed his arms and began to storm off. “I only came here to tell you to stop purring in your sleep, I can hear it in my dreams. Our bond is quite vocal, it seems.” He barked over his shoulder before disappearing out of sight.
Tamlin rubbed his temples. The maddening smell of burnt cedar and cinnamon still lingering in the space Eris left behind.
He hated how he lied to Eris. The truth was he still hadn’t forgiven himself for one thing, and likely never would. How could he ever forgive himself for cruelly burdening Eris with their mating bond? It was the cauldron that decided it but he was the only one responsible for not being what Eris needed.

nasa employee: so, how many loops in total? astronaut: i mean, it was hard to keep track. somewhere around six months, if i had to guess. nasa employee: damn. astronaut: yeah. nasa employee: and in those six MONTHS, the best zinger you came up with was “shoot for the moon”? astronaut: hey, you know what, i had some other stuff on my mind! nasa employee: i mean, i guess. it sounded like you found time to flirt with me each time. astronaut: yeah, like i said. other stuff on my mind. *they look at each other, blush, and look away* astronaut: sooooooo. you’re sure your mom is cool with me coming over for dinner? nasa employee: can’t make the day any weirder. plus, i owe you for ratting out frank, right? astronaut: he did help us save the world; we can’t be too mad at him. nasa employee: you’ve had a little while to get over it, i might need some more time. and it wasn’t even your food! astronaut: ok, that’s fair. what if i buy you lunch to make up for it? nasa employee: hmm, when? astronaut: tomorrow? nasa employee: well, i’ll have left overs from my mom, and you might too if you play your cards right. day after tomorrow? astronaut: honestly, anytime is good for me.
*FADE TO BLACK*
What do you think a genderswapped Harry Potter (Harriet Potter?) would've been like?
So to start... I actually don't think life at the Dursleys would be all that different for Fem!Harry. Maybe there would be less *violent* bullying from Vernon and Dudley... but they honestly don't manage all that much as it is, and Harry's "normal" abuse mostly consists of being shouted at, locked up, treated as a scullery maid, and just generally made into a scapegoat + inferior/problem child that the rest of the family can unite around. If anything, Fem!Harry would have just reminded Petunia even MORE of Lily, and stirred up even MORE complicated emotions. And we'd get even more of live-in chef/maid Cinderella!Harry. It would all feel very Matilda.
The first big change I see happening... is I don't think Ron would have bonded with Harry on the train nearly as easily, if she were a girl. Young Ron is honestly pretty uncomfortable/awkward around girls... unless he's able to put them into a category like "little sister" (which doesn't count.) Or "know-it-all" (which doesn't count.) It's kind of a plot point in Book 4 that it takes him a while to realize Hermione and Ginny are girls he and Harry could potentially ask to the dance. Ron grew up around a bunch of guys, and you can tell. I think he'd try to *impress* Fem!Harry on the train, and probably put his foot in his mouth.
Harry would be at kind of loose ends on the Hogwarts Express, and get sucked into the search for Trevor the toad as something to do. So in this version, she actually ends up bonding with Neville. Hermione would be there too but well - Hermione rubbed Harry the wrong way at first in canon, and it would be even more the case here. They're both (functionally) muggleborn girls - but Hermione is SO much better prepared, and has SUCH loving parents, and won't shut up about any of this. In a way that Canon!Harry kind of fixates on Draco for ending up with his Ideal Life, it's possible that Fem!Harry might fixate more on Hermione.
11-year-old Draco would have treated Fem!Harry exactly the same, meeting her at Madame Malkin's and later on the train. He'd still have his obsession with her, and yeah, it probably does read as more of a crush to his Slytherin buddies... but I really do not see that stopping him. If his father can't get him to be normal to Harry, then that's just how it's going to be.
Harry will still get Sorted into Gryffindor, but I don't see her being close with any of the the other Gryffindor girls. Lavender and Parvati just have very different personalities, and Harry and Hermione... are very intense people who work best when they're able to take breaks from each other. In Book 4 when Harry is exclusively hanging out with Hermione, he comments that she's not as *fun* as Ron. And we see that dynamic again in Book 7 when it's just the two of them in the tent. Like they're incredibly effective, but seem to be wearing each other down a little. I think that forcing young (less emotionally mature) Harry and Hermione to be roommates would just end up with them getting on each other's nerves.
Hermione might get pulled into the friend group when Harry and Neville need help researching Nicholas Flamel, but she could easily stay more of a supporting character or even a frenemy in this version. Fem!Harry would still be the youngest seeker in a century. (Draco would be even more motivated to steal Neville's Remembrall if Neville is Harry's best friend... so that face-off would have gone down exactly the same.) Once she's actually on the team, I could see her falling in more with the upperclassmen, and hanging out with Fred, George, Lee, and Angelina (especially if they put together that she's a bit lonely.) It could be Harry, Neville, maybe Hermione, maybe the twins solving the puzzles at the end of Book 1. They'd still suspect Snape, who... would honestly be just a slightly different flavor of antagonistic and weird towards Harry, if she were a girl.
But in second year, Ginny would be Sorted into Gryffindor and I do think that Fem!Harry and Ginny would get along great, absolutely be bros. They could bond over quidditch, and Harry would get more of a sense of Ginny's actual personality (funny, cool). I have to think 11-year-old Ginny would be much less awkward around Harry if she were a girl.
Which would be really intense actually, because Ginny would have shown up to school with the the Diary, and it's... sort of important to the plot that she's isolated and has no friends. If she shares it with Harry as a cool thing - then Harry is ABSOLUTELY going to get obsessed with it. And since Harry's a much better *get* for Tom (Tom talks about being *so* pleased when powerful, important, future nemesis Harry starts writing to him instead of Ginny...) I think you just get Possessed!Harry opening up the Chamber of Secrets.
Also, would Harry have a crush on Tom? We know that Tom Riddle tries to impress Canon!Harry, which doesn't work... but Fem!Harry he might try to charm. Tom can be very charming if he wants to be. Harry also thinks he's very handsome. Either way, Tom is going to work VERY hard to to get Harry to distrust her friends. Really, you'd just get Harry's plot about being isolated and possessed by Voldemort in Book 5 moved to Book 2. Tom would get Harry to write "her skeleton will lie in the Chamber forever" on the wall, and lure her down to the Chamber of Secrets.
However. I do think that Lily's magic, which makes it impossible for Voldemort to physically touch Harry, would also make it impossible for him to properly drain her life and take over her body. I'm thinking of the moment at the end of Book 5 where Voldemort tries to possess Harry, but Harry fights him off. So... I think Harry just wakes up in the Chamber of Secrets with an intact Diary and a basilisk she can control, since of course she's still a parselmouth.
The question is... what happens to the Diary, now that Harry knows it's dangerous? I'm thinking that when Harry disappears, Ginny freaks out and tells one of her older brothers what's going on, who tells Arthur, who tells Dumbledore. Which leaves Dumbledore with a Horcrux that still works... and it seems like if you've got school-age Tom Riddle right there, that would be a much easier way to get an answer to the question 'how many horcuxes do you plan on making?' So Dumbledore gets a head start on that project.
Harry now effectively just is the Heir of Slytherin. She can go to the Chamber whenever she wants, and the basilisk is her familiar I guess (Hagrid would LOVE helping her take care of it.) I could also see a Harry who gets more *interested* in Salazar Slytherin after this. She definitely wouldn't talk to Draco - he spent Book 2 being an asshat and calling people slurs. But Harry might try to pick Theo's brain or something.
Now Hermione. At first I was thinking - does Hermione just die, in Book 2? Would she have known to look around corners with a mirror, and so survive her basilisk attack?
I do think she'd still figure it out... and it's because of Lockhart. Hermione is a Gilderoy Lockhart *fangirl,* and without Ron and Harry poo-pooing her crush (and without first hand experience of Lockhart causing issues for Harry...) I think she's able to geek about about this with her roomies. I mean, Lavender and Parvati read Witch Weekly. They know he's won the Most Charming Smile award. Hermione likes a project, and without Harry and Ron providing one, I think her new thing is impress Lockhart. And what would impress Lockhart? Well, he's a monster hunter who is trying to find the Chamber of Secrets and identify what's inside. How cool would it be, if they were the ones who helped him? He'd write about them in his next book.
So I think the Polyjuice Potion plan (Hermione's idea) is still a go. She might even talk Lavender and/or Parvati into helping out. (I mean, they joined the DA. They're up for some rulebreaking.) Hermione would still turn herself into a cat, which would actually massively humanize her in the eyes of her roommates, and I think they all end up much better friends in this AU. Eventually, one of them does manage to Polyjuice into Pansy, which is a much more effective way of interrogating Draco. And by this point, Hermione has met Myrtle, and has enough info to solve the mystery, and even bring her findings to Lockhart. Who ah. Finds an excuse to just run. There's a very fun portion of the year where Dumbledore teaches DADA.
I don't see all that much about Book 3 changing until the climax - because the crew Harry takes down to Hagrid's after dark *would* be different. Neville, Ginny (not the Twins - I think they give Harry the Map and peace out, they've got their own stuff going on and don't want to hang out with their much younger sister.) Maybe Theo? I could see him taking on a very Hermione-ish support role by this point.
But this also causes a problem, because if Ron isn't there, Scabbers isn't with him. And if Scabbers isn't with Ron - I don't think Remus notices Peter on the map, and so just stays inside and drinks his Wolfsbane, which means Snape doesn't go down. And since Sirius' target was never *actually* Harry... I think this is just a universe where Sirius first-degree-murders Peter, and doesn't have a confrontation with Harry at all.
I do think Voldemort still comes back though. Trelawney would still have made her prophecy ("His servant has been chained these twelve years. Tonight, before midnight... the servant will break free and set out to rejoin his master.") In this universe, that prophecy would refer to Barty jr, finally throwing off the Imperius curse for the first time.
Bertha Jorkins still goes on her trip to Albania, and... Voldemort probably just possesses her the same way he did Quirrell. I bet that's easier to do after someone's been sort of fried by a memory wipe. Also, being in her head, I have to assume he's eventually gets some inkling of the fact that Barty is still alive, and so goes looking for him. Harry still goes to the Quidditch World Cup since she's friends with Ginny, her scar is still hurting (she probably writes to Lupin about this, instead of Sirius, but Lupin gives her pretty similar advice. He will have still left Hogwarts, because Snape would still have outed him as a werewolf at the end of the year.)
Harry still ends up as Champion. I think Big Sister Fleur would be a little more protective of Fem!Harry than Canon!Harry. And also... Harry just straight-up has a crush on handsome, nice, good at Quidditch Cedric. Rita could write about the Harry/Cedric/Cho love triangle, instead of Harry/Hermione/Krum.
The Yule Ball would actually be kind of a big deal for Fem!Harry. Up until now, she's been kind of a tomboy who wears Dudley's hand-me-downs... and is occasionally forced into some terrible 'party dress' when Aunt Marge visits. Harry's best friends are a boy and a tomboy, her quidditch teammates are feminine role-models but very much athletes: 'girly' hyper-femininity is something she associates with Aunt Petunia.
But, fourth year roles around. Mrs. Weasley buys her a set of emerald-green dress robes that actually look really nice, and she needs to find a date for the ball. I think she thinks about asking Cedric... but chickens out at the last minute, and asks Neville to go with her as a friend. Between her much more girly roommates, and Fleur taking pity on her and giving her some tips... I think Hermione's big Yule Ball glow-up is also Harry's first experience with wanting to look pretty, and succeeding.
I think it would be fun, and make sense, if this lead into a little secret admirer subplot. Someone is leaving her little gifts and messages, and she's thinking - is it Neville? Theo? Cedric?
(it was Draco. Instead of the blast-ended skrewts, Hagrid has them all taking care of Harry's basilisk, and like... she has a basilisk... she's the Heir of Slytherin... she asked Longbottom to the ball when she could do so much better... she was wearing green and looking perfect. Draco's Harry obsession has sorted itself out into a very serious crush.)
Back to the main plot. With Peter dead, I'm not sure Barty would be able to take care of Voldemort AND prep the ritual to bring him back to life AND impersonate Moody. He's going to need a man on the inside. I think at first he tries to use his father - but as we know that is going to get very risky very fast, because Barty Sr is remarkably good at fighting the Imperius curse, and also just knows way too much. He's a huge risk, because if he goes rouge, he'll tell Dumbledore everything (which is very nearly what happens.)
So I think Barty Jr. targets Barty Sr.'s assistant Percy Weasley, after he can no longer control his father. Uses him as a way to affect things in Hogwarts. He might imperius him, but he also might just like... Polyjuice himself into his father for short periods, and manipulate Percy in a non-magical way to make sure he helps Harry, and gets her through the maze to the cup first. Once Percy realizes what he's done... I think he re-commits to his family in penance, and stops being a such a Ministry man.
Voldemort rising works as kind of a reset button, so things would start looking a lot more canon again, only with Ron and Hermione swapped out for Ginny and Neville. Main difference being, Voldemort has Barty now. I absolutely think he would have survived Book 4.
So I'm going to leave this what-if here for now. Thanks for the ask, this was a lot of fun to think about.

March x Gender Neutral Adventurer/Farmer
-0-
You had to leave.
You didn't want to, of course you didn't, but you had to.
You were an adventurer first before you became a farmer, before you decided it was time to leave the thrill of adventure. To let your body rest, to abandon the horrors that you've seen in your years on the road and settle into this little town.
The life you had built here was nice, far nicer than you ever expected it would. You made friends, you found community. You were settling down.
But you, of all people, knew it wasn't going to last.
The missive arrived days after the last snowfall of spring. You thought it was another mail from Adeline or another letter from Errol asking to meet you and Eiland at the museum. Or maybe it was from March - you hoped it was - telling you that your ass better be at the inn that night.
A chill ran down your spine when you opened the mailbox. A single envelope sat inside, snug, the golden filigree emblazoned over the plush red on the quality paper glinted once the sunlight You didn't have to see the seal, didn't have to see the signature. Didn't have to see to know the colors of your guild.
But you were retired, right? You made sure of that. Made sure that you were off the ledgers, made sure that you would no longer be contacted.
And yet here it was, the ghosts of your past sitting prettily in the mailbox on the land that you so carefully tended.
There was a punch in your gut, a deep clutch at the pit of your stomach. You didn't want to open the envelope. Felt you already know what it said. But you did. You had to.
And felt your heart ice over.
Aldaria was at war. Every soldier, every adventurer within the central kingdom's guilds, every able combatant, retired or otherwise, are required to go to the frontlines.
No one is exempted.
Those who are to run will be deemed as traitors to the Crown and will be put to death.
Fuck.

The grief of it hit you quickly.
So much that you sat at the stone bench, one that you placed by Caldarus. You didn't think you could talk, didn't think you could form any of the words. Caldarus didn't pry. You thought he could sense what it was, anyway.
You didn't know how much time passed by. Didn't care. Not even hunger, not even the rain.
You had to leave. Immediately.
Adeline and Eiland were horrified. Elsie was rendered speechless. All of you were in tears.
You packed up quickly. It wasn't as if you had a lot of belongings, anyway, even though you've already spent several months here in Mistria. It had to be quick, it had to be soon, as your heart couldn't take it anymore.
The goodbyes were the most difficult of it. More tears, more fear. Hugs, promises to come back.
But you couldn't quite look at everyone in the eye. One person, at the back of the inn, just staring. Dark, dark eyes devoid of emotion. You noticed that his drink remained untouched, his food already cold. You didn't want to say goodbye, not to him. But you needed to.
You took him aside late into the night. His body was rigid, his eyes ice cold.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, tried for a weak smile. "I guess you're right. I didn't even reach winter."
"Don't." His voice was hard, shaky. "Don't fucking blame yourself for this."
"March, I-"
He grabbed your shoulders, hard, looked directly into your eyes. "Don't die,' he murmured. "And come back when this is all done. Are we clear?"
The silence descended upon both of you as you stared at each other. Sighed. Weakly smiled.
"Clear."
And you knew, neither of you wanted to think of that promise being broken.

The day you left was a particularly rainy day.
Mistria was quiet, as if the joyous energy that usually engulfed the town was washed clean.
People tried to resume their routines, their normal, but watching you leave on horseback, alone while getting soaked, was one of the most difficult sights most of them had in recent years. And yet life has to move on. Days, weeks, months had to pass.
March was not handling it well.
He managed to easily slide back into routine. Being a tradesman, the work was never-ending, especially since he decided to expand their enterprise by accepting orders from the other surrounding towns.
It made sense to expand, especially since Mistria already rose up the ranks quickly in the months the farmer was here. Wartime was an opportunity for more profits. Times were changing and he had to catch up.
(And it wasn't because he just wanted the work to keep his mind off of you.)
Every hit of the hammer to the anvil was a second that he wasn't thinking about you.
Every nail, every screw, every project was something to keep your smile, the crinkle of delight in your eye when you give him another gift, the way the sunlight streaked your hair, out of his mind.
He didn't want to smell your scent the moment he picks up the blanket you made him. He didn't want to think about you when he eats something that you liked. He didn't want to remember the feeling of you, all the curves and angles of your body, the callouses of your hands, the scars that littered your body. He didn't want to see even the barest of glimpses of you in his dreams.
And yet he couldn't escape it. Couldn't escape the way his heart weighed him down. Couldn't escape the dull thrum of longing at the back of his head.
So he worked.
And worked.
And worked no matter how much Olric told him to take a break. No matter how much his body screamed at him to stop. Not even when Valen put her foot down and demanded he rest.
Because his hand shook when he struck that hammer. His breath hitched when he stepped away from the anvil. Because his eyes teared up when his back hit against the wall when the entirety of you consumed him, assaulted his senses, his memory.
"Fuck!"
He threw his hammer down as he crumpled to the ground, shoving his head into his lap as he breathed in the way you showed him how.
When were you coming back? He just wanted you back.

They were keeping up with the current events, of course.
It was slow all around, as messengers didn't always come or the roads were blocked off. But Balor, through his contacts, made sure that Mistria got the news as soon as possible.
The North Everett Garrison fell to the enemy a week ago and proved a heavy blow to the kingdom. Massive body counts on both sides. No news yet on those who fell.
They hoped, prayed, that you weren't there. That you weren't one of the ones who died. That you were still alive and well.
It's been over a year since you left and they still hoped.
It was three weeks after the news that another messenger arrived.
March snarled when the knock on the door came. The shop was closed, goddammit. Why can't people just leave him the fuck alone? He shoved open the door, stopped when Adeline and Eiland stood outside.
Dread pooled at the base of his stomach, his body crumbling into a cold sweat. In Adeline's hand was a familiar helmet. The perfect, silver helmet that he made for you over a year ago.
-0-
They said they couldn't find you.
When the garrison fell, it was immediately reclaimed by the arriving forces. For days, the soldiers and holy people recovered and identified the dead.
But there was nothing else that they could find of you. They only found the helmet, damaged and bloody, with March's trademark on it. By the time the forces managed to collect as much as they could, you were listed as one of the missing, potentially (probably) dead.
It was enough to send him into a spiral.
March hasn't left his room in days. The meals Olric left by his door barely touched. For days he held the helmet, his hands raw from keeping it close and tight to his chest.
His usual proud eyes were dull, the shine of it diminishing slowly ever since you left. It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair. This was supposed to be your start at a new life, a new beginning. He saw the grief in your eyes when you first moved in. He saw the twitchiness. He saw the strain. And he saw the way you let the shadows of your past eventually fall.
Only to be thrown back again against your will.
He couldn't feel anything. Just that steady throbbing, the heavy pulling of his heart down, down, to the depths of his despair. Couldn't feel the sunlight that streamed through his window. Couldn't feel the cold of the stone floor. Could barely feel the weight of the helmet on his lap.
Time didn't exist anymore. Every single breath he took was like inhaling shattered glass. The world seemed to have lost all color.
"March?"
"Go away, Olric."
"It's not Olric."
He whipped his head back, confusion marring itself on his face. With effort, he hauled himself off of the ground.
Opened the door.
It's been a while since you've seen him.
He's a bit thinner, a little gaunt, which worried you. A shadow of a beard rested on his face as he stood there, wide eyed, as he held your helmet in his hands.
He was just as handsome as you remembered him to be. You smiled.
"Hey, March."
He had you in his arms not one second later. You felt the shudder run through his body as his strong hands pulled you tight into his embrace. This was something that you dreamed off, the one thing that pushed you through, pushed you to survive. The thought of coming back to him was the light in your darkest days.
"March-"
"Quiet."
He took his time with you. Embracing you. Taking in your scent, memorizing your body once again. You had new scars, new injuries. But he doesn't care.
You were here and that's what mattered.
"March," you murmured as you buried you face into his shoulder, your bandaged hands digging into him like a vice. "I'm home."
He breathed in, sobbed out a sigh. Smiled.
"Welcome home, farmer."

hello, if you like my stuff i have more on my masterlist! :DD
also feel free to send some requests. I'm currently in a March headspace rn but I'm willing to try other characters too o: (might take a while to get to them tho since I'm gonna be in a convention crunch time qwq)
A/N: I made a banner and dividers (I found the stars on pinterest) 😌 look at me go. But, once again this is tagged as x reader as well. Feel free to use a word replacer for this :) (I also know that March’s eyes are black. However, I decided to take creative freedom.)
Summary: Violet has been in Mistria for just a little over a week now. But she has never experienced drunk March before.
Warnings: Just drinking at the Inn on friday night!
Settling into her new life in Mistria wasn’t hard. Violet got up everyday bright at early, watered her crops and tried to clear her farm for a few hours before she’d inevitably run up to town and buy seeds to replenish the ones she harvested. She’d stop at the inn and get some soup, talk to Hemlock or Jo when they were there. Then she’d run around a bit more, stopping in to say hi to everyone. Maybe go do some fishing or check out the Western Ruins to see if there was anything else so could donate to the museum. But there was one thing she never skipped. And it was saying hello to everyone, that was always the number one priority.
She’d never skip March. Despite his prior attitude, and as much as she wanted too. Violet had to prove to him and everyone else here that she wasn’t going anywhere. But, her first Friday in town as she shuffled into the Inn after getting her farm- mostly cleared off she was met with Reina’s bright bubbly voice.
“Violet!” She grins, running around to get to her faster. God- that action alone made her want to scoop her up into her arms and spin her around. Reina was so sweet every single time without fail. She felt like a friend that Vi could talk to for hours while laying in her lap. And normally she would share the same enthusiasm as her but, Violet ended up looking up slowly from the pure exhaustion she was experiencing; those rocks on her farm were no joke. And while Reina was always a delight to see, she just wanted soup. That creamy delightful smelling soup that was bubbling in the cauldron. Was that cheese? God she hoped it was cheese.
“Mm?” She grumbles but it doesn’t deter Reina. She quickly gets her a bowl of soup and slides in next to her. Violet's whole mood increasing tenfold as she digs in and looks at Reina.
“You have to make sure to come to the inn tonight!” Reina beams, with the stupidly gorgeous smile she had. “It’s always a blast on Friday nights! Everyone has so much fun! Tell me you’ll come!” She pleads with her. And Violet is a simple woman.
With food in her system, finally the farmer smiles. “It’s really that cool? I guess I’ll have to come check it out. But i’m working on getting the bridge repaired for the Saturday Markets. So, it might be later in the night.” She replies smiling at her new friend. Reina grins and claps, reaching to give her a hug which Violet quickly accepts. It was like hugging one of those giant stuffed bears you won at carnivals.
“Yes! That’s fine! Whenever you can!” She beams. Violet had to admit, her enthusiasm was nice. Everyone seemed so excited to integrate her into this town as if she was always apart of it. It…was refreshing. Violet gives Reina a nod.
“You have my word, I’ll be here.” Vi smiles, and she meant it. She'd be there. It would be nice to relax and hang out with everyone at the Inn, she just hoped she could get the bridge done before then.
———
It felt silly. Violet felt completely and utterly foolish. Standing in front of her mirror, just minutes before she was going to head over to the Inn trying to decide what to wear. Surely everyone would be wearing their normal everyday clothes. She kicks away the little black dress. But why- why did she care so much about her own outfit?! She could just wear her normal outfit. It would be fine. At least that was what she was trying to convince herself of. But somewhere in the back of her mind, she knows that this might be a good chance to show off for a particular red head-
She shakes her head, "No." She says quickly pointing at herself in the mirror. "No, no, no, Violet. You are not falling for a red head! He's not even a real red head! You can see his roots! You are not doing this." She scolds herself. "This is your chance to distance yourself from anything and anyone. We are not fucking it up because we need therapy!" Violet lets out a big huff. Running her hand through her hair, and nodding. She'd just- wear this. Her normal outfit. Stripped shirt. Overall dress. Knee highs. It be fine.
Once, she enters the Inn she can see why Reina was so insistent. Everyone is there, sitting at various tables doing whatever it is- they were doing. It was bustling, it was lively...it felt like home.
"Violet!"
The Violet in question looks to see Reina rushing forward, a warm smile on her face. "You made it!" She cheers, god- she was so fucking sweet. Violet just wanted to curl up with her and pour her heart out to her. She was so wonderful, Violet can feel the smile spread.
"I told you! I wouldn't miss it!" She gives Reina a hug. Resisting the urge to melt into her arms. "But...everywhere looks so busy..." She whispers.
"Oh! Don't worry about that, just walk around and chat! Everyone kinda does their own thing, you'll find your place in time." Reina reassures. Those words- she had no idea the amount of tears Violet is holding back in that very moment.
"Y-yeah..." Violet nods, "Right." She gives Reina a nod before going over to the Eiland, Celine, Balor, Adeline, and Holt.
"Hello, Violet!" Eiland greets, his smile isn't as warm as Reina's- at least not in the same capcity. Where Reina's smile was like curling up with a blanket, in front of the fireplace on a cold winter morning? Eiland's was like the sunshine, like when you were a kid and played too hard during the summer falling to the ground and feelings the warm ground. “We’re playing Dungeons and Drama! You’re welcome to listen for a bit.” He offers.
“Yeah.” Violet nods, sitting next to Holt with a smile. Everyone introducing their characters had her smiling as she went to enjoy some of the other groups as well. She’d never tell a soul but The Bearded Bad Brad was her favorite so far.
At the next table, she played around of cards before she realized Olric was just- unbelievably lucky. She frowned, she hated loosing. And, everyone was starting to get rowdy because of his unbelievable luck. So, she politely excused herself from the table. Making her way over to the bar-
“Violet!” March said, but that was way too enthusiastic to be March. Slowly, she turned around, and it was in fact March. Or a clone of him? It had to be, standing there with the biggest smile she’d ever seen him have. Slight blush on his cheeks, “Come over here! Sit next to me!! You’re always so busy during the week!” The clone said.
“March is quite the lightweight.” Elsie speaks up. Violet looks over at the regal old woman. “But it is him, he’s a kind drunk.” She gives Violet a nod. She turns back to March.
“You’re telling me that’s not a clone?”
A roar of laughter from the bar. “No, dear.” Elsie smiles. “That very much so is March, our grumpy little blacksmith.”
“Violet!” He whines, “Come here!” He pouts even more. How could she refuse? Making her way over to the drunk March, she can’t help but smile at him. His hair was mused from him running his hands through it, his cheeks were rosy from the alcohol. His smile was contagious, especially as he realized Violet was walking toward him.
“Hi March.” She smiles gently. Her heartbeat picking up, starting to sound like a kick drum in her ears. He was so- devastatingly pretty. Up close, March looked so fucking good. His stupidly nice jawline, dazzling hazel eyes. Violet blinks- Hazel? Weren’t they black? She tries to subtly move further away, watching as the light hits them different changing the color. Making it appear a darker almost black color.
March, does not like that Violet is leaning away. He wanted to examine every part of her face. The way that her cheeks moved when she smiled, the perfect plumpness of her lips, how her eyes shimmered like jewels in the light. The purple hue catching the light like she melted down a purple sapphire and let it pool in her eyes. He also needed to know why she looked so confused, reaching a hand out he gently pressed her back into his side. “You look confused.”
“Your eyes aren’t black.” She mumbles, still looking at him like that. Almost like her gaze was pinning him to his spot.
March raises an eyebrow, smiling and letting out a small laugh. “No. They aren’t.” He grins, “Why? Do you think it make me prettier?” He says batting his perfectly dark eyelashes up at her. Violet lets out a soft laugh, wrapping an arm around his broad, sturdy shoulders. Caldarus strike her down now. She was touching him. She was touching March, and he wasn’t mad. He wasn’t pushing her off, she felt her stomach doing flips at the proximity.
“No, it just shocked me. They normally look black when you’re next to the forge.” She comments softly, still entranced by them. She wants to reach up, cup his cheek and tilt his head up so she can see them better.
“Mm.” March nods, leaning his head on her shoulder. Violet can feel her face heating at the action. She can feel eyes on her from the other patrons, and if she could muster a look at them she’d glare. But if she looks anywhere but firmly behind the bar, she’d explode. “Olric’s got them too.”
“Yeah?” She breathes, looking down at March. “Good to know.”
“Do you like them?” He looks back up at her. Violet’s breath hitches as she sees the swirls of green and brown in his eyes even better. The light from above emphasizing more of the green. “You look like an angel.”
Violet shakes her head. “Wh-what?” She says with a shocked laugh.
March gives her a big smile. Reaching up and tucking some of her hair behind her ear. “You look like an angel. The light is like-“ He moves his hand around her face, to signal the halo of laughter around her.
She needs air. She needs space. She can’t do this- March can’t be that sweet. No matter what Elsie said, this had to be a clone of March and the real one was plotting her demise somewhere. “M-March…” Violet says quietly, taking a step back. But he frowns, pulling her back into him.
“I like when you say my name.” He mumbles. Still looking at her as if she was the most precious thing in the world. As if he would give her the world. Violet couldn’t do this. She steps away from him, dodging his arms again.
“Goodnight March.” She whispers quickly, slapping some money down on the table to cover her food for the night and rushing out.
A/N: I know that March’s sprite has black eyes- but consider. No. Kfjjfjfksks no in all fairness I just thought it be interesting if he had hazel eyes, my brother does and they change the intensity depending on the lighting he’s in. So I thought because he’s around the forge so much it be interesting!

Chapter 1: How It all Started
Ra's al Ghul, otherwise known as The Demon's Head, was a crual man, believing in the old ways of the League: That Man shall rule over their people through force and through fear.
And Ra's did just that, striking fear into those who dare try and threaten him. He gained his right as the Demon's Head threw a vicious tournament, and gave his clan power which was taken from The Order long ago. Though he only managed to claim two, he chose ones that would strengthen himself and his clan. They were gods that would grant power to whomever wielded their jewels. The ones he claimed were:
The Ox: Symbolizing Strength, confidence, power, stability, determination, and stubbornness.
The Tiger: Symbolizing Inner Strength, bravery, power and Balance
Ra's used these two gods to vanquish his enemies. The only thing Ra's was missing after years of his rule, was an heir. He tasked one of his daughters – Talia al Ghul – to birth him an heir, and she did. She found her old lover Bruce Wayne and drugged him. 9 Months later, Damian al Ghul was born and praised by his Grandfather. 2 years passed and slowly, a sharp increase in attempts on Damian's life couldn't be ignored so easily. Ra's then tasked Talia to birth another child, and train them to be loyal to Damian. Although Talia strongly disliked dealing with having another child, she did as she was told and once more, managed to trick Bruce Wayne and drug him for round two. And a year later, Damian now 3 years old, had a younger sister – Marinette al Ghul. Ra's was displeased that it was a female, but thought it better than a future rival for the right of being the next Demon's Head, and reluctantly accepted Marinette al Ghul as Damian al Ghul's sister, and protecter.
Damian and Marinette didn't see each other all that much during their younger years, but each had equally hard training in many different things. Later when Damian was 7 and Marinette 4, they began to interact upon Ra's wishes. Damian knew Marinette was his younger sister and future protector, but he didn't like that she would be forced to give her life for him one day. The though of it irked him greatly. He had never realized how close his baby sister was from him – Just down the hall from his quarters. He often visited Marinette, though she didn't speak much to him. She would just sit there and listen to him, analysing him with her deep ocean blue eyes. She was almost always calm whenever they were together, never once did he see her with any expression other than her normal blank analysing gaze.
Whenever he came back from training, or a mission, he always spent time with her, ranting about random things that had bothered him. Marinette would always place her hand on his head, though her expression never changed, her eyes would become comforting towards him. Often times they would sleep next to each other and share bits of their food when one was being punished. Damian truly loved his baby sister, he wanted her to smile, to show emotions other than through her eyes, he wanted to hear her call him brother, just like he called her sister.
The night after one of Damian's missions, they were hugging each other for warmth during the winter, Damian telling stories he heard from his past missions.
"You know, they say that if you ever see a shooting star, to make a wish on it. If you ever saw one, what would you wish for 'ukhti?" - Damian looked to Marinette under the blanket next to him with a smile, hoping his wish to hear her voice would happen someday
". . ." - Marinette looked to the ceiling for a moment as she thought about it.
She turned her head to her him, her eyes filled with warmth and love for her brother.
"For 'akhi to be happy." - Marinette saw the look of shock that went over her brother's face, and had a brief small smile light up her features
Damian could only smile back as they soon fell asleep.
A year later Damian was 8 and Marinette 5. Ra's had decided to have the gods choose them as their wielders now that they refused to grant their power to one whose soul was far too stained. The two gods were positive that they would refuse the two Ra's chose, but to their surprise, both were true holders. Damian a true Ox and Marinette a true Tiger. The two gods floated to their chosen and deemed them worthy. Not long after, their traing was increased, both normal and the training with the powers bestowed upon them by their chosen gods.
Then, another year later Damian was 9 and Marinette was turning 6. Damian decided to make a Rapier with Marinette before their training later that day. After a few hours they managed to make a beautiful dark metal Rapier with a complex hand guard with accents of gold on it.
". . . How am I supposed to hide this?" - Marinette held her Rapier easily as she looked to her brother
"I- . . . Did not think about that." - Damian
"Just store it in your Pocket Dimension My Shebbel." - Roaar had flown out of Marinette's bracelet and to her Rapier as she spoke
"I have a Pocket Dimension?" - Marinette
"Yes. You have almost an infinite amount of room in it, so you can hide your Rapier, or anything that isn't breathing in it." - Roaar
"How do I do that?" - Marinette looked at Roaar with slight excitement in her eyes
"Just imagine yourself absorbing it." - Roaar
Marinette took Roaar's advice, and focused on absorbing it before she saw it glow and fade away into a dark blue-ish purple glowing mist
"Just as expected of My Shebbel, you got it first try!" - Roaar flew around Marinette's head happily at her Chosen's accomplishment
". . . Stompp?" - Damian looked to his god with hope in his eyes
"Yes My Batta, you also have a Pocket Dimension." - Stompp
"*smiles mischievously* Now I can finally hide all the weapons I want." - Damian
"Don't overdo it 'akhi." - Marinette spoke to Damian with a knowing look
"I understand 'ukhti, I'll only steal 5 weapons a day." - Damian
"... 2." - Marinette
"4." - Damian
"3." - Marinette
"Deal." - Damian shook hands with his sister as she let out a slight snort
The rest of the day was more enjoyable, especially now that they knew they could hide their dumb instructors weapons. Then, a few days later, Marinette was to go on her first mission with her god Roaar. Most of it went smoothly, and although she completed her mission, she had hesitated a brief moment before killing the target. Something Ra's had her punished for once she got back. He had her whiped multipe times before she was allowed to go back to her room. She didn't show any emotions during her punishment or as she walked back to her room, but when she closed her room door and saw her brother, all she did was shed silent tears as her brother and the two gods hugged her while seething with anger. Neither really liked killing, but sadly, they knew that was the only way for them to survive in the cruel world of the League, if they didn't, they would be beaten for a few hours or worse and then let go with the promise of harder training from then on. Roaar hated seeing her chosen having no choice in the matter, and Stompp downright despised the hell they put their chosen through on the daily. But they couldn't do anything without risking their chosen in the process, so all they could do was comfort them when they needed it.
He soon realized after that day that they're souls had a bond, one that was described as a platonic music bond. He could feel what she felt based on her melody, and she could do the same. Thanks to that bond, they could see if the other was okay no matter where they were, and he realized that her Melody becomes louder and quicker when she's in danger or scared whenever she's near Ra's.
After that, Damian made sure to protect Marinette whenever he could, making it clear to the other children that trained near her were dead if she ever needed the pits because of them. Although he knew she could be healed or revived, the last thing he wanted was for her to go in the Lazurus Pit. Near the middle of that Year, Damian kept running into the same girl over and over. He never cared to remember her name as she was an annoyance to him. And the girl seemed to stop after a month of annoying him, but then he saw the same girl trying to cozy up to 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 and he came pretty close to tearing her apart. He obviously scared the girl enough for her to run off, and he felt proud to have gotten the nuisance away from his sister... at least he did until Marinette gave him a disproving look. Neither saw the girl after that, and soon, another year past.
Damian was now 10, Marinette 7, and Ra's had decided it was time to show them their kingdom of which Damian would rule, and Marinette protect. All was going well, Marinette stayed close to her brother's side, both wearing their special armour and weapons on them. Damian had his beloved katana sheathed on his back, while Marinette had her dual swords sheathed at her waist. And everything was fine, but as they entered the courtyard, the League was ambushed. Damian and Marinette fought off the assassins that tried to kill them without much problem, and when they turned back, they saw Slade kill Ra's. Though they didn't love their grandfather, they fought Slade for betraying his leader and managed a few good hits before he somehow escaped. When they went to find Ra's, they saw him a mere foot away from the Lazurus Pits, his hand outstretched towards its waters. Talia soon found them and urged them to follow her, and they did. They ran, following their mother into a building with a hidden passage to the docks where a boat was waiting. They ran past all the chaos and death around them. The fire the attackers set consuming the building they were in rapidly. They were almost out when they came across more assassins, they were easily taken out and they made their way to the secret tunnels. Talia and Damian made it down first, and just as Damian looked up waiting for Marinette, a burning wooden beam fell onto the tunnel's entrence, sealing it in a blazing wall of fire. Damian wanted to get Marinette, but Talia draggen him all the way to the boat by force before getting away.
Marinette couldn't waste any time, so she ran to the nearest exist and started running into the mountains. Between her heavy heart beats she could just hear the faint clanging and scraping of metal far behind her, causing her to run even faster. She ran to the entrance of the second cave that could grant her a way out, but found the entrance blocked by rubble, most likely blown up. So, she unsheathed her dual swords and ask Roaar to grant her strength as she saw the assassins getting closer.
Roaar noded and fused with Marinette's swords, making them a darker metal and giving them and her eyes, a faint yellow glow. She steadied her breathing and attacked once they were closer. 10 assassins were tring to kill her, so she fought without hesitation. She easily took out the first 3, leaving 7 left. They scored a few cuts, some shallow, some a little deep, but none were life threatening compared to her current situation. She took out the next 4, and the 3 remaining showed slight hesitation at the sight of Marinette covered in many cuts while still standing as if they never hit her... which was their mistake as Marinette took that moment to take them down, once she was sure no more were coming she went deeper into the mountains.
Although Marinette was trained in extreme cold since birth, the large loss of blood didn't help. She felt her legs giving out and decided to stop and sit by a rock where she took the moment to store her dual swords away in her Pocket Dimension. Her body soon had her lying down as more blood slowly started to seep into the layer of snow beneath her. She watched the sky, slightly tinted by all the smoke from below the mountains, and saw two shooting stars falling togther and burning bright. She felt a stray tear roll down her cheek as she closed her eyes, wishing her brother was safe. When she opened her eyes again, one of the falling stars seemed to glow a bit brighter before fading away, leaving the other to fall by itself. She was starting to lose feel in her hands when she barely felt something small and fuzzy rub up against her left arm, groggily, she turned her head to see a Black Panther Cub, whether it was actually trying to warm her or get warmth itself Marinette didn't know. The cub curled up next to her and purred... and it felt soothing to her. She didn't know how long she and the cub layed there before she barely heard the crunch of footsteps in the snow, and as much as she wanted to see who it was, she was unable to move her head. The person seemed to bend down enough over her head for her to know it was a man, probably 6'1, but she could distinguish his features.
"Well, you two cubs aren't supposed to be here. This is not the time nor place for either of you to parish." - The man seemed to pick both Marinette and the cub up before walking
"Whoo'rrr yyyou...?" - Marinette's speech was slurred and slow, but somehow she started to feel a little better, and started feeling warmth as if she was under the sun instead of a cloudy winter sky.
"Well, you could say you already know me, just not here? But I'm Kevin, pleasure to meet you Marinette al Ghul of this Verse." - Kevin
Marinette tensed as much as her tired body allowed her to when she heard him say her name, but just as she was going to try and say something, her world seemed to slowly fade to black.
Damian was angry and worried, he didn't know if his baby sister was alive, he knew she was strong, and that she had Roaar, but he couldn't hear her melody no matter how hard he listened for it.
"Why are you agitated my son?" - Talia didn't even have an ounce of guilt or sadness in her eyes, she didn't care that she could've just left his sister to be killed off.
". . ." - Damian just wanted to hold his sister, know that she was safe, he wanted to know that she was okay, he just needed to hear her melody
"If this is about your sister, you should just forget about her. She was always weak, why that god ever chose her will be beyond our understanding. We will be at our destination later tonight, so get some rest." - Talia then went into one of the cabins to rest, leaving Damian alone.
Damian went to his cabin a minute later, when he closed the door behing him, he made sure it was locked, and that there were no bugs. After he was done, Stompp floated out of Damian's Katana as he sat on the bed hugging himself trying to stay calm and reassure himself Marinette is alive. Stompp went up to offer some comfort when Damian saw a single falling star from the boat's window, watching as it fell, he mumbled words that only he and Stompp could hear
"Please be safe 'ukhti." - Damian watched the star burn brighter before fading completely, he soon fell asleep with Stompp next to him in the silence and crashing of the waves that filled his room.
Marinette could hear crowds of people talking and faint horns in the distance as her eyes slowly squinted open. She jolted up into a defensive stance, quickly looking around. The first thing she saw, was that she was now in an alley, and Roaar was charging in her bracelet. She saw that her cuts weren't bleeding anymore, and seemed to have started to heal, though they were still a bit painful. She took another careful look at the alley when she heard someone speak.
"Hey, can you pwease feed me?" - Small voice of a boy
Marinette looked around, but didn't see anyone
"Down here pwease." - Cub
". . ." - Marinette
". . ." - Cub
". . . what the f-" - Marinette
"Looks like you're able to understand cats now." - Roaar now floating to the cub
"What?" - Marinette looked to Roaar who was next to the cub
"It's because you're a true Tiger, same goes for most true olders. If they're exposed to their chosen Kwami at a young age, they'll be able to understand most animals under their Kwamis' respective family tree. So, since a tiger is a ‘big cat’, you can understand most to all big cats since we're all similar language wise in some ways." - Roaar
"Oh. . . 'akhi would be so jealous." - Marinette smiled to herself at the thought of her brother pouting.
"May I pwease have some food?" - Cub
"Same here, using my powers always makes me hungry." - Roaar
"Alright, what do you two want to eat?" - Marinette looked at them fondly as they smiled
"MEAT!" - Both Roaar and the cub answered in sync with happy eyes and excited voices
"Alright, Roaar, please watch the cub while I get us food." - Marinette
"Sure thing My Shebbel!" - Roaar then sat protectively on the cubs head as Marinette made her way out of the alley
She easily memorized everything around her and grabbed a shawl before spotting a street vendor selling kabobs and headed for it.
"Dese Kabobs are tuh die fawh Ives!" - Harley, Ivy, and Selina were all sitting a little ways away from where they just got their beef kabobs
"To bad you don't like meat." - Selina
"... To bad I can't yet live off of sunlight yet." - Ivy drinking some wine
"... Hey Ives?" - Harley
"Yes Harls?" - Ivy
"Two questions, one, if you drink wine, are you basically eating an old lady smoothy?" - Harley
"PFFFFFFFFF! WHAT?!" - Ivy had spat her wine out so hard some came out her nose - "Shit it burns!"
"HAHAHAHA!" - Selina was cackling and almost choked on her food in the process
"Two, is dat kid stealin' beef kabob man's kabobs?" - Harley pointed to a small girl who was covered in a shawl swipe 3 kabobs and walk away without the vendor noticing
"I think she did... Honestly, great form." - Selina was impressed by how smooth the kid pulled it off
"God why does it burn so much???" - Ivy was tearing up while she held a napkin to her nose
"Come on Ives, lets teach de kid a lesson about stealin' delicious food." - Harley then got up and started following the kid, Ivy and Selina following close behind
Marinette was really looking forward to eating the meat on a stick, and rounded the corner to the alley meeting back up with Roaar and the cub behind a wooden crate. She set the shawl she grabed earlier down on the floor and sat on it before handing Roaar and the cub their food.
"Be careful, it's a little hot." - Marinette
"Thank you!" - The cub ate the meat happily once it cooled off a bit
"Thank you My Shebbel, now eat up, you need your strength." - Roaar sat on Marinette's leg as she started eating her kabob
. . . . . . . . .
"That was so good~" - The cub had finished his food quite quickly and was very happy
"Indeed." - Roaar had also finished hers
Marinette handed them each another piece knowing they still wanted more before finishing hers
"Where'd dat little kid go off tuh?" - Harley
"Probably down that alley." - Selina pointed to an alley just ahead of them
"Why do you think that?" - Ivy
"A vegetable from the kabob is at the opening of the alley." - Selina
"Nice one Cat." - Harley continued the charge to the alley where they all stopped at the entrance as they heard a girls voice making cat sounds followed by actual meowing
"Wait, can she talk to cats... Harley." - Selina put on her kitten eyes as she looked to Harley
"No, we're not adoptin' anudder you." - Harley
They then proceeded to enter the Alley
Marinette had Roarr and the Cub on her lap, both full from their meal, when Roaar and the cub turned their heads to the alley entrance
"Someones' are coming!" - Cub
"What?" - Marinette froze when she heard someone speak up
"We know you're in dere, come out wit' your hands up and we'll go easy on yuh." - A Brooklyn sounding women spoke
As Roaar hid back in Marinette's bracelet, Marinette got up and into view of the intruders, putting her right hand behind her back as she took out a throwig knife. Marinette noticed their eyes widen and she took that moment to strike
They were shocked, they weren't expecting to see the kid covered with clearly 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 recent cuts and bruses along her arms and legs. Harley could see the kid was on edge so she tried to approach her calmly.
"Hey kid, are yuh alright? Look, we just wanna help y-" - Harley was cut off by Ivy pulling a vine in front of her face just in time to catch a very pointy throwing knife. Before any of them could say anything, they saw the kid pick up a cat and bolt as the throwing knife disappeared from the vine
"Shit." - Harley/Selina/Ivy
Marinette didn't think they would be meta, but then again, this isn't her best day. She was running down the streets getting odd and concerned looks as she ran threw the crowds of people, they were close on her tail, so she decided to make a little chaos to lose them.
She saw cages with livestock and opened it, causing a stampede of cattle and chickens to be let loose, and it seemed to distract her pursuers. She continued running threw the alleys and streets, stopping only after she was sure she lost them.
"Are you okay?" - Cub
"Yeah, you?" - Marinette
"I'm okay– look out!" - The cub was dropped from Marinette's arms as she was suddenly lifted upsidedown from her feet by a vine
She frantically tried to cut threw with another knife, but it just kept regrowing before she could get all the way threw it. She saw the three women approach her, they were about to say something when she decided to throw her knife at them as a last attempt, but was knocked out by some puff of something from the vine, causing her to go limp. The vine gently put her unconscious body on the floor.
"Now what?" - Selina went to approach Marinette, but the little Panther Cub they thought was a normal cat, stood protectively infront of the girl
"SHE HAS A BABY PANTHER???. . . THAT'S IT, I'm adopting her and this cub." - Selina easily picked both Marinette and the cub up before walking back up to Harley and Ivy
"Did you not see her try to kill Harls with a THROWING KNIFE? I mean, whose kid has a THROWING KNIFE???" - Ivy (*Ahchooo!*- Talia)
"A deranged maniac most likely." - Harley (*Ahchooo!*- Talia)
They took Marinette and the cub to their hotel where Ivy treated Marinette's more serious injuries (which was basically all of them) before letting her rest with the cub on their couch.
About two hours later Marinette woke up to the sound of a tv, it was on a news report about all the livestock that got loose earlier that day. That's when she realized they were speaking Italian. Well, now she knows a general area of where the heck she might be. She let out a slight snort when it showed a few of the livestock owners trying to catch a chicken, only to trip into a pile of manure. Marinette looked around the living room she was in, but didn't see anyone other than the little cub that sat next to her.
"So, do you know where we might be?" - Marinette stroked the cub's head as he stretched his front paws forward
"No, but the females didn't have a hostile smell, and they cleaned your boo-boos." - Cub
Marinette looked at her arms and saw most of her cuts were bandage, and then she remembered she never got the cubs' name - "Um, I'm sorry but, do you have a name?"
The cub shook his head before looking down - "I don't have one."
"But, everyone has a name." - Marinette
"Mama never came back with my name." - The cub seemed to curl himself closer to Marinette as he spoke
"... Although I'm not your mom, would you like me to give you a name?" - Marinette
"You'd do that?" - The cubs' eyes seemed to light up at Marinette's words
"Of course, um..." - Marinette looked at the cub thoughtfully, and remembered one of her favorite characters' name from a book she found during a mission - "How does the name Bagheera sound?"
"I love it!" - Bagheera seemed to light up at his new name and curled up in Marinette's lap purring, causing her to smile
"I, Bagheera, promise to always protect you!" - Bagheera looked up to Marinette, his eyes filled with happiness and admiration
"You don't have to do that..." - Marinette scratched the back of her neck in slight embarrassment
"But I want to." - Bagheera
"Why?" - Marinette
"Because I like you." - Bagheera
"Alright..." - Marinette had stood up and realized she had a vine covered in bark around her ankle - "Roaar?"
"Yes My Shebbel?" - Roaar flew out of Marinette's bracelet and was now floating in front of her
"Could you please undo this vine?" - Marinette gestured to her ankle
"Of course, just give me a moment." - Roaar quickly got to work on removing the vine when Bagheera pointed out that they were coming back
Once the vine was off, Marinette could hear the jingle of keys. She picked Bagheera up and went to hide behind the kitchen island. She held her breath as she heard them open and close the door, followed by one of them placing a heavy bag on the opposite end of the kitchen island. Not long after she heard someone say "fuck" and assumed they found the broken vine. Marinette set Bagheera down and whispered for him to follow her, both making their way out of the kitchen as quietly as possible before reaching the door. It was when she was just about to open the front door that it started beeping at an obnoxious volume, and she was quickly yanked by her waist back to the living room with another vine.
The three women looked at her with mild shock and concern as they spoke.
"Why were yuh tryin' tuh leave? We just wanna help yuh kid." - The concerningly pale women had her gazed fixed on Marinette, trying to look for something
"..." - Marinette only looked back, her expression blank and her eyes cold as she was still being held about 5 inches from the ground
"Can you at least tell us your name?" - The slightly greenish woman that was holding Marinette in place spoke as Bagheera walked up to her meowing
"..." - Marinette just kept the same poker face as they looked at her and as she looked at them
"Can you at least tell us if you're alright or need help at home?" - The only normal looking woman out of the three was concerned, her eyes going between Marinette's own and her bandaged cuts
And they saw her visibly tense up before she scoffed at them and turned her head away. Ivy placed her back on the couch while Harley brought more chairs for them to sit on.
"Alright, let's start wit' names, I'm Harleen, butcha can call be Harley." - Harley seemed to pull out a clipboard as she clicked the back of her pen - "Tuh my right is my dear sweet Ivy, and tuh my left is Selina. So, what's yuh name kid?"
". . . Tt." - Marinette once again turned her head away, but still heard Harley writing things down, most likely her reactions
"Alrighty, so 'Tt' where do yuh live?" - Harley seemed to smile a bit when Marinette whiped her head back toward her at break neck speeds with an icy cold glare
". . . *hiss*" - Marinette literally hissed at them with a unhappy look on her face when Harley wrote that down as well, she also heard Bagheera gasp at her not so cub friendly word
The questions continued on for about another hour, and by the end of it, Bagheera had learned a whole new bucket of words, and all Harley had on her clipboard were noises. This continued for the next 5 days, and because of Harley, both Selina and Ivy had started calling her 'Tt', and soon enough, Marinette finally had enough.
It was a Wednesday, 10am, and everone was gathered at the dinning table, Bagheera next to Marinette's vined ankle.
"'Tt,' would you like some salt?" - Selina
"'Tt,' would yuh like some juice?" - Harley
"'Tt,' would you like anything for dessert?" - Ivy
". . ." - Marinette was losing it, never before had she been so annoyed by something so small, she didn't want to crack, she wouldn't crack, but if she heard them say 'Tt' one more time-
"Oh, 'Tt,' would you like to watch a mov-" - Selina
"OKAY! IT'S MARINETTE! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE STOP CALLING ME SOUNDS!" - Marinette banged her head once on the table in defeat, they had won, they made her crack
"See? Dat wasn't so hard now was it? Now, lets watch dat movie." - Harley got up and lead them to the living room couch, where Marinette grumpily sat until she fell asleep from exhaustion with Bagheera right next to her.
The next few days were almost the same, but now they called her Marinette or some nickname of it. They wouldn't let her e̶s̶c̶a̶p̶e̶ go outside because they didn't want her getting hurt. And she probably would have said that was torture if her mother or anyone from the League could hear her, but she actually enjoyed their company. She didn't mind not going out, because they were there, and if they weren't with her for the hour or two they were out, Marinette had Bagheera and Roaar.
Though she would never say that to their faces, if she did, she would be openly admitting defeat, and she wasn't ready to wave the white flagg just yet.
Marinette was sitting upsidedown on the couch watching TV while Harley, Ivy and Selina were out grabbing some food.
"You seem to be happier the longer we're here." - Roaar
"It's... okay. Definitely better than 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 place." - Marinette had since started referring to the League as 'that place' after she started liking Harley, Ivy and Selina's company
"Indeed. They are extremely nice, and they seem to actually care for you." - Roaar floated in front of Marinette
"They are nice." - Marinette went back into a normal sitting position and put her hand out for Roaar to sit on
Roaar's ears twithced for a split second before she sighed and continued talking with Marinette - "What do you think of them?"
". . . I guess they're rubbing off on me. *dramatic gasp*" - Marinette whiped her head around ready to fight whatever intruders had entered the apartment, only to be caught in a bone crushing hug
"OH MY GOD, Nette I knew yuh liked us!" - Harley
"CAN'T... BREATHE!.!.!-" - Marinette tried desperately to wiggle her way out of Harley's death hug, but couldn't
"She just wants to hug you, not suffocate you My Shebbel." - Roaar floating in clear view of everyone in the room, giving Marinette a chance to escape the hug
". . ." - Everyone else
"I guess it's time I officially introduce myslef and my chosen. I am Roaar, and this is Marinette a-" - Roaar was cut off by Marinette snatching her out of the air
"YOU SAW NOTHING!" - Marinette hid Roaar behind her back as she nervously looked at their faces
". . . You know, we've seen wierder." - Selina
"Mind telling us anything little flower?" - Ivy
"IT WAS SO CUTE!" - Harley
So Marinette and Roaar explained why they were together and half-truthed about how they met. They of course left out all the stuff about the League and her last name when Roaar suddenly stopped talking and zipped to the windows looking around frantically which caused Marinette to tense up knowing something was about to happen
"What's wrong Kitten?" - Selina walked up to Marinette putting her hand on her should.
They all saw Marinette reel her arm back for a punch when she whiped her head towards Selina, stopping halfway when she realized it wasn't an attacker that grabbed her.
"Harls I think we need to move-" - But before Ivy could finish one of the windows shattered onto the living room floor, prompting everyone to get into a fighting stance.
They watched as 11 people covered in black jumped threw the broken window holding all storts of stabby weapons
"Are those Assassins?!" - Harley looked in a mix of awe and shock at the intruders
One of them in a Black outfit with gold accents stepped forward raising his weapon as he spoke in a deep raspy voice - "Give us the girl and we shall spare your pitiful lives."
Of course they were about to refuse when they saw Marinette dash forward and disarm the assassin in one kick, grabbed his swords and decapitated him on the spot without hesitation. The other assassin instantly charged Marinette, ignoring Harley, Ivy and Selina. Ivy stopped 4 of them in their tracks while Harley and Selina each took out 2. When they looked back up they saw Marinette swinging her sword down on an assassin, watching as they went limp. Marinette lifted her sword from the man's head and jerked it so the blood would come off. She now had her eyes on the last living assassin, he had gripped his swords' handle tightly as he charged Marinette. He saw her wide open and lifted his sword high, ready to swing it down on her. But she moved at inhuman speeds as her sword and eyes seemed to glow a faint golden yellow, he saw her swing her sword up, and heard the sound of his sword hitting the floor. As the man stumbled back, he realized his severed hands were still holding his sword. Panic and fear engulfed assassin as he tried to make a run for it, only for him to watch the world spin before it faded away as Marinette had decapitated him as well.
Silence fell upon the room as they looked at a blood covered Marinette with golden yellow glowing cat-like eyes.
"..." - Harley, Ivy, and Selina didn't know what to say as they looked at Marinette who was looking back at them
It took Marinette a minute to process things as she looked at them, the very bloody room, and then to the faintly glowing sword stained with blood she was holding. She dropped it when she realized she was probably scaring them a bit. They saw her eyes stop glowing the moment Roaar flew out of the sword. Marinette looked back to them after a moment of them not saying anything
"I- um... sorry about the mess, I can clean it all up- I know how to- and I can hide the evidence- I- that makes it sound worse doesn't it?" - Marinette had tears running down her face as she took a few steps back while hugging herself to try and calm down as she kept rambling - "I'm sorry- I- please don't make me go back." - Marinette had started hyperventilating the more she spoke as the panic of them leaving and hating her grew more and more, the memories of being punished flashed threw her mind as her knees buckled and now had her sitting on the floor shaking slightly.
Harley had went to hug her as she realized Marinette was going into a panic attack, she was concerned for Marinette, especially when she visibly flinched when she hugged her - "It's okay, you're okay, no one's sendin' yuh anywhere, okay? We're here fawh yuh Nette, just try and breathe wit' me."
"Marinette, it's okay, Roaar and I are here with you too, pwease just try to breathe with us." - Bagheera had put his paws on Marinette's legs while he tried to calm her down by rubbing his head against her wet cheek.
They were all hugging and talking to her softly, and after a minute, Marinette slowly steadied her breathing as she began to sob in Harley, Ivy and Selina's arms.
When Marinette spoke in different languages, they could tell her voice was hoarse, it sounded broken and strained, they only understood one thing she kept repeating to them - "Where's 'akhi?" - between her broken sobs. She soon began hugging Harley back in an attempt to keep herself awake.
They spent the next 10 minutes like that, not knowing what to do as Marinette hugged them before passing out.
Damain had met his Father about 15 days ago, he didn't have the best first impression with his adopted brothers, and Slade had escaped him again. The only decent ones in the Mansion were Alfred and Alfred the cat. Stompp had advised Damian not to tell any of them except Alfred about his existence, and Damian agreed. No one but Alfred knew about Stompp, and Damian was thankful that Alfred was a truly wise and kind man. Damian saw Alfred more as a father than his actual biological father. It didn't help that Bruce and his siblings were always distant with him, but he didn't care. He had Stompp and both Alfreds to listen to how he felt, and they were the first ones to here about Damian's younger sister.
It was a relatively normal day at the Mansion, Todd was being a nuisance throwing his peas at Damian again, and he ignored it. For the most part it was quiet, and almost peaceful. Damian hadn't felt his sister's melody since they were separated, and it bothered him every day, but this day was different, he felt his sister's musicbox melody faintly during dinner, and was initially happy, until dread filled him as it quickened in tempo and changed from a peaceful song to one of pain and fear. He had abruptly stopped eating, staring blankly at his plate, frozen and worried about his sister. Everyone at the table saw this and asked what was going on, but none got a response from him. The tune changed again moments later to a heartbreaking fearful one, he could tell she needed him by the way her Melody sounded, it was strained and broken like she was crying. He felt anger rising in him before he felt Stompp tap his leg to bring him back to reality.
"-We asked, what the fuck is wrong with you Demon Spawn." - Jason
Damian breathed in before he spoke, visibly agitated - "Nothing of concern to any of you. Now if you'll please excuse me." - Damian gave no more room for any of them to ask further questions as he walked out of the dinning room
"WAIT DID HE JUST SAY PLEASE?!" - Jason
Damian kept walking till he reached his room. Pausing as Marinette's Melody calmed to a slighty peaceful tone. He continued into his room once he heard Jason's yelling and stomping coming up the stairs, and locked the 10 different locks on his door just in time to hear Jason banging violently on his door
"ARE YOU POSSESSED!? ARE YOU SICK!? YOU NEVER SHOW ANY MANNERS!" - Jason's voice was barley audible over his obnoxious banging
". . ." - Damian just went to lay on his bed while Stompp looked between the door and Damian
"OPEN UP AND GIVE ME ANSWERS DEMON SPAWN!" - Jason still banging without a care for the poor door
". . ." - Damian looked to Stompp and spoke - "Can I kill him with your power boost?"
"I SAID OPEN THE FUCK UP!" - Jason
". . . I'm not completely against that idea in this moment, but maybe just a 'mild' concussion if nothing else." - Stompp looking concerningly at the door - "Beside, he's trespassing if he enters the door through force."
*CRACK* - the poor door breaking
"Make it look an accident?" - Damian with a devilish smirk
*CRACK* - the poor door hanging a thread on the door's hinges
"Make it look like an accident." - Stompp with almost the same devilish smirk as Damian pulled out his Brass Knuckle with an 'Idiot' imprint on it. Just as Stompp fused with Damian's weapon and granted him Strength of The Ox, Jason finally broke the poor door to see Damian with slightly glowing redish green eyes
"WHAT THE F-" - Jason was instantly hit on his forehead with the Brass Knuckle, leaving a nice big red 'Idiot' on it as he fell onto his back disoriented
". . . Have a nice trip." - Damian picked Jason up with ease as Jason slowly realised what was happening, but Damian didn't give him a moment to recover as he tossed him down the stairs, definitely hearing 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 break - "Fall is the best season."
"Agreed." - Stompp had flown out of the brass knuckle to fist bump Damian as they walked back into his room, ignoring the shock from the rest of the family as Tim poked Jason with a stick to see if he was still alive, which he was.
Damian was listening to Marinette's Melody, happy it was still there and peaceful.
"Stompp." - Damian looked to his God that was eating some cornbread on his nightstand
"Yes My Batta?" - Stompp turned his attention to Damian as his chosen spoke
"Will I be able to find 'ukhti?" - Damian was still listening to her Melody to make sure it wouldn't fade away
". . . I believe you and her shall meet again one day, when that day might be, I do not know." - Stompp flew to Damian to pat his head smiling - "But I know she is safe with Roaar."
"Thank you Stompp." - Damian closed his eyes soon after drifting to sleep with Stompp beside him on his pillow
Things changed after Damian temporarily branded Jason with 'Idiot.' He somehow gained Tim, Stephanie and Cass's approval. They still didn't talk much, but they seemed to be more open when near him, and though he wouldn't tell them, it did make him a little happy. Bruce –upon some scolding from Alfred, Tim, Steph and Cass– had also started trying to bond with him. And soon enough, Damian took up the mantle as the new Robin. He definitely loved scaring the shit out of villains ... literally. Didn't help that Damain's eyes glowed a redish green when Stompp helped him, which made the white eye cover of his mask look like a dark glowing blood red color at all times. He even made it on the Teen Titans Team as Captain.
Marinette had opened up more to them after she had woken up, considering she couldn't really think of any excuse as the why she asked them not to send her back. She didn't give the full details, but had told them that she grew up in a kill or be killed environment where the slightest hesitation meant torture or worse. This information of course made them want to kill whoever hurt Marinette, but ten times worse than anything they could imagine. After a few more weeks they learned she had an older brother, but they had been separated due to unfortunate events. Not long after, Marinette admitted that she actually saw them as family, which of course meant she was stuck in a death loving hug for at least 20 minutes.
During all this Marinette had finally heard her brother's Melody some time around 12 am one night, and she could tell he felt her's too by the sudden joyous tone his Melody took. They would check in on each other and make one anothers' day better by doing so. They were both happy, and relieved the other was okay and happy. Damian could tell that Marinette was happy by the way her Melody played as if telling him a story in a way only they could ever understand, it told of her little panther Friend Bagheera, who was quickly growing before her eyes, it told of Harley, Ivy, and Selina who showed her how to express her feelings more and see the world just a bit brighter than before.
Damian's Melody told of their new siblings, Dick, who was the oldest and most tolerable of their other brothers, Jason, who was hell bent on proving he was –and still is according to him– possessed, Tim who is very much addicted to coffee and was a genius with technology, and he even talked about his sisters. The eldest sister being Barbara, who was even better with technology, Stephanie, who loved to play pranks and lurk in the shadows, and Cassandra, who had escaped the League and was now a proud member of their family. He spoke about Alfred, who knew about their gods, and was incredible at cooking. Alfred The Cat, who took a liking to him and Stompp, and finally, his Melody told of their Father. Bruce, he told her everything, that he was now Robin and had a Team he could actually trust without worry, how the rest of their family was also the infamous Batfam.
They both shared everything about their days, and how they were, but they could never quite tell the other where they were directly, as their Melody seemed to blank whenever they tried, so they made it into a game, dropping hints about where they were, with things specific to that place. Marinette loved when she guessed right about where Damian was as Robin for a mission, and Damian was happy that Marinette got to see many places around Europe throughout the year. And before they knew it, 1 year and 4 months had flown by in an instant, Damian was now 11, and Marinette would be 8 in 3½ months. Then, 3 days later, Marinette was told that they would be moving to Paris, France, where they would spend most of the Year, they also planed on going to Gotham for a few months after that and alternate holidays between Paris and Gotham every other Year. And Marinette was excited, so she didn't hesitate to drop hints about where she was going next later that night, they were set to leave in a week, and Damian gave her hints about a mission he and a younger super close to her age would be going on in a few months, dropping hints about where this mission would be.
Little did they know, that by the time of her birthday, both would have the best surprised either could ever ask for...

Chapter 7: Greetings Mighty Mushu
·•·–—–·•†•·–—–·•·
Marinette enjoyed her day at Titan Tower, she definitely enjoyed the magic summoning. She had spent almost half the day there and was now walking back home with Mushu hiding in the hoodie of her winter jacket.
Walking down the empty alley not far from her home, Mushu poped his head out to look around.
"... Damn, the world looks like shit now, what did you humans do to it?" - Mushu
"Well, this is an alley, normally they look a bit nicer, but we're in Gotham, so it has its own unique charm to it." - Marinette walking down the alley
"... Ah yes, the sight of garbage, and old puddles of blood are very ‘Charming’" - Mushu pointing out the garbage and one old blood puddle
"It's Gotham, it only gets better sight wise in the center of the city, and worse crime wise all over." - Marinette now back on the sidewalk and heading towards a heavily overgrown parking lot
"... How have humans not gone extinct yet?" - Mushu
"Don't know, it's honestly a miracle." - Marinette walking through the heavily overgrown parking lot
"I'll never understand you humans... Anyway, why does it feel like we're in a jungle?" - Mushu
"It's a saftey measure." - Marinette continued walking as the thick brush seemed to part for her to pass.
"... Am I seeing things, or did those plants just move out of the way for you?" - Mushu rubbed his eyes before seeing more of the plants open up, showing a clear path - "It's like fucking Narnia all over again!"
"Wait, you've seen the movie Narnia?" - Marinette paused for a moment to get a better look at Mushu
"No, there is no ‘The Movie Narnia’, I'm talking about Narnia, it's a mystical world where I once had a holder that lived there... The talking Lion was a bit weird, even for me." - Mushu
"... It actually exists?" - Marinette
"Of course! There were even three human children from this dimension that went to Narnia, though I'm not sure how many years ago that may have been." - Mushu
"I-... I don't know how to respond to that." - Marinette stood on the open path, now wondering if every movie/book that was fantasy related, was actually based on real things
Only one way to find out
"... Um... Do you know what lightsabers are?" - Marinette
"You mean those glowy sticks that come in a lot of colors?" - Mushu
"Yes." - Marinette
"... Is this another one of those ‘movies’ of yours or something?" - Mushu
"Maybe..." - Marinette
"... Let me guess, you want to know if ‘The Force Is Strong Within You’, and try to find a way to get a glowy stick too? Is that it?" - Mushu crossed his t̶i̶n̶y̶ travel size arms as he spoke
"... Possibly." - Marinette slowly continued down the path
"... That ain't gonna happen." - Mushu hid himself back in Marinette's hoodie, cutting off their conversation. And Marinette got the message and kept walking... for about a minute
"... So, are you the ‘Kwami’ of Sass or?" - Marinette almost at the end of the path
"What the hell makes you think that?" - Mushu popped back out to look at Marinette
"You just seem a bit sassy to me." - Marinette
"Oh no you didn't!" - Mushu moved his head side to side and snapped his claws while moving his paw infront of his face
"Or Drama? Which is it?" - Marinette walking up to a gate
"Neither! I'll have you know, 𝐈 am the Kwami of Perfection!" - Mushu
"That's kinda vague don't you think?" - Marinette walking through the gate and closing it behind her
"...No, I'm perfect in every way, how can that be vague?" - Mushu
"Well, it's perfectly vague, you could make the world or a tiny useless object perfectly useless, or perfectly useful. So, I see it as a vague thing." - Marinette walking towards a buildings' garden with many, many different kinds of plants
"Okay, I see your point, but... It's perfection." - Mushu's words made Marinette laugh - "What is it now?"
"It's just, with you, someone could draw the shittiest drawing in history, and if you ‘perfected’ it, it would become the perfect shitty masterpiece!" - Marinette had to stop walking from all the laughter
"... That's not funny." - Mushu
"Yes it is! ... WAIT! Has it actually happened?!" - Marinette tried to sound serious, but still had a few giggles as she spoke
"... You people enjoyed those cave paintings didn't you?" - Mushu
"... Holy shit you're old." - Marinette finally stopped laughing when it sunk in Mushu was ancient
"... I'm gonna sleep now, m'kay?" - Mushu stared at Marinette for a moment, before making sure to whip his tail at Marinette's cheek as he went back to the warmth of her hoodie
Marinette ignored the tail whip and entered the garden when she was completely done laughing. She continued over to the front door, and opened it. As soon as she stepped inside and closed the door behind her, she was instantly jumped my Bud and Lou, causing her to laugh as she was covered in slobber.
"Hello Marigold, how was your day?" - Ivy coming out of the kitchen to greet Marinette
"It was great, I had a lot of fun." - Marinette said as she hugged Bud and Lou one more time before getting back up
"I'm glad to hear that, dinner will be ready soon." - Ivy walked over to Marinette to give her a kiss on her forehead
"Okay... um, where is everyone else?" - Marinette couldn't sense their energy anywhere within the building
"Well, Harley is out... doing some business, Ed is running from Batman again, and Selina... I think is robbing another high-end place." - Ivy walking back to the kitchen with Marinette behind her
"Oh, well, I was hoping to show everyone something I found." - Marinette taking off her coat only to see Mushu giving her a VERY disapproving look before heading into the kitchen with Mushu on her shoulder
"And what might that be-" - Ivy froze the moment she saw this tiny thing on Marinette's shoulder.
"Marinette Isley-Quinzel, what is that?" - Ivy with a very concerned look on her face
"Before you say or do anything, this is Mushu, and I'm stuck with him?" - Marinette wasn't really sure how to tell her mom she bound her soul to a t̶i̶n̶y̶ travel size Dragon God
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, I'm- ACK!" - Mushu was instantly grabbed by a carnivorous plant
"IT CAN TALK?!" - Ivy had the plant try and swallow Mushu
"WAIT MOM, NO! He's fine I summoned him!" - Marinette had the plant spit Mushu out, only for him to go face first on the kitchen door and stick to it, in an almost cartoon like fashion, he very slowly slid down the door
"You- what?" - Ivy was very confused
"I summoned him with magic...?" - Marinette suddenly sensed her other mom
"What'd I miss, and who summoned what?" - Harley slammed the door open with a serious look on her face... causing Mushu to get smooshed between the door and the wall, everyone heard a tiny crack of something
"What was dat sound just now?" - Harley looked at a shocked Ivy and a pale Marinette before looking behind the door and seeing a living... something smashed like a cartoon
"... Ives, have yuh been growin' your ‘special’ plants again? Cawze I tink I'm seein' tings… mawh than usual."
"No, what you're seeing is real." - Ivy walked over to Mushu, and carefully grabbed him (well more like peeled him) off the wall
"Den what am I lookin' at exactly?" - Harley poked Mushu, and saw his eye twitch - "Dat's not right."
"M-Mushu? Are you okay? How many fingers am I holding up?!" - Marinette held up 3 fingers
". . . 3?" - Mushu spoke meekly
"Are yuh okay?" - Harley asked Mushu with slight concern
"What does it look like?" - Mushu glowed faintly before returning to his normal look
"Was dat Magic?!" - Harley asked excitedly
"No, it was a trick of the light, OF COURSE IT WAS MAGIC!" - Mushu crossed his arms as he hopped onto Marinette's shoulder
"You don't have to be rude about it, besides, you're a god, you can't exactly die... right?" Marinette didn't notice the growing shock on both her mom's faces
"Of course not. Like I've said, 𝑰 am Perfection, and as such, I can't die in such an imperfect way, obviously." - Mushu lifted his head high with his chest out as he spoke in a proud manner
"Geeze, you and Chloé would love eachother." - Marinette looked at Mushu, who was ignoring her gaze
"Hold Up did I just squish a GOD?!" - Harley was both in awe and shock... mostly very concerned shock
"...Why yes you did, now *ehem*, Bow Down Before Me Foolish Mortal, Before 𝐈 Smight Thee Imperfect Self." - Mushu had such a smug look on his face, before Marinette held him upsidedown - "Hey! Blueberry, what the heck?! Put me Down this instant!" - Mushu went quite after realizing his voice cracked
"Apologize please." - Marinette holding Mushu from his tale
"For what?" - Mushu
"For freaking out my mom, she believes in that stuff, so if you please." - Marinette
"... *sigh* Because Blueberry insists, 𝑰, the Mighty Mushu, Kwami of Perfection: Apologize for what I said that may or may not have scared you." - Mushu spoke reluctantly, but sounded somewhat sincere
"... So where d'ja get de tawhkin' lizard?" - Harley asked as she went to grab some coffee
"Magic summon." - Marinette replied with a smile
"... That's it! All of Yall LISTEN UP, I am NOT a Lizard, for the last time I AM A DRAGON! D.R.A.G.O.N!" - Mushu fed up with being called a lizard
"Then why are you so tiny?" - Ivy asked innocently
"Tiny? Tiny!? I AM NOT TINY! I AM TRAVEL SIZE FOR CONVENIENCE!" - Mushu was really fed up, he hopped off of Marinette's shoulder and started walking to the door
"Mushu, where are you going?" - Marinette watching Mushu walk closer to the door
"I need some fresh air, so I'll just be outside thank you very much." - Mushu continued walking and phased through the door that lead to the Gardens
"Wait, if he could phase through stuff... Why de fuck was he flattened like a pancake on de wall?" - Harley sipping her coffee
"He's just a little dramatic." - Marinette
"I'd say mawh than ‘just a little’ Cupcake, he needs therapy... do Gods even go tuh therapy sessions?" - Harley looking outside the window to see Mushu yelling his head off
"And he's yelling infront of the Common and Green Figwort, my poor babies..." - Ivy was just about ready to have another plants silence Mushu, but Marinette had gone out to Mushu, looked at him for a second, said something that shocked Mushu, and Ivy (Ivy was listening through her babies) before Marinette came back in with a smile. Both adults looked back to the Garden, only to see Mushu standing there like he was just slapped in the face.
"What on earth d'ja say tuh make him look like yuh offended his very existence?" - Harley, who has no clue what Marinette said
"Nothing really." - Marinette acting like she didn't
"Marigold, who taught you that kind of threat, it left him speachless!" - Ivy
"Ummm, Aunt Selina?" - Marinette now looking a bit guilty
"What d'ja say?" - Harley
"I only said that ‘I would refuse to help him find his broach if he keeps acting like a child.’ Did I go to far?" - Marinette looking a bit worried
"My Cupcake's learnin' how tuh threaten people, and dis was huh first threat... I'm SO PROUD!" - Harley gave Marinette a big hug - "Dey grow up so fast!"
"What-!" Marinette was soon getting a bone crushing hug from both her moms
"We're so proud of you, but don't do that to everyone, only bad guys, okay?" - Ivy
"Ok... but... I... can't... BREATHE-!!"
·•——–·Now lets back up a bit·–——•·
Starfire was in the living room watching Nightstar beat everyone in UMS3, she didn't expect to see Beastboy being strangled while Raven recorded it infront of the Zeta-Tube, but soon realized it was Beastboy and Raven's friend that was to visit the Tower today. Everything seemed somewhat normal about the girl, though she was quite strong if she got Beastboy in a headlock. The next thing that came as a surprise, was Marinette beating everyone in UMS3, she had never seen anyone beat someone so fast before, and then, Robin challenged her to a duel with real swords! Had he lost his mind? She was a civilian!
But Starfire knew there was no way to change his mind, so she gave them wooden swords instead, and hoped that he wouldn't hurt Marinette to much.
... But then she saw that not one of his attacks affected her, she had a perfect defensive position, and was easily dodging all of Robins strikes. Then she saw Robin back off, thinking about something. She was about to call it a tie, but was cut off by Robin throwing instutls at Marinette, it shocked Starfire, Robin had never thrown insults in a simple duel. She looked to Marinette, she thought the girl might cry, but that's when Starfire saw it, something was VERY different about Marinette, while through the whole match she was calm and overall happy, she suddenly had a weired energy to her, she didn't change her expression, she just stood there. When Marinette spoke, it sent shivers down Starfire's spine, the icy tone in her voice wasn't something normal for any civilian. Marinette quickly defeated Robin after that, and Starfire went to make sure he was alright. She continued to watch Marinette more closely, both during the hack off and the magic summoning. Starfire was concerned that Marinette may be a villain, or working for one, so she went to the Watchtower for their daily reports. Starfire was first to arrive, she sat at the table, wondering why Marinette seemed so... destructive...
It took about 30 minutesfor everyone to arrive, each JL member listing off their findings for the day, then it was Diana's turn to report in.
"Everything is as it should be with the Amazons, and Themyscira. Though one of our artifacts acted strangely, it stoped quickly, and is nothing that should be of concern, that is all." - Diana sat back down once she was done, and then it was Zatanna's turn
"And do you have anything to report in today?" - Batman spoke from his spot at the table
"Well, I do not know if it is to be of any concern at the moment, but at around 5:32pm EST time, I felt a... disturbance, it was faint, but also very strong, it alsmost seemed like some kind of Ancient Magic was activated for a short time." - Zatanna seemed to be lost in thought with a worried expression as she spoke
"Were you able to determine it's origins and how long it lasted?" - Batman
"Yes, though it lasted for less than 10 seconds, I was able to find the general area it was in, if you'll please look to the screen." - Zatanna brought up a before and after image Magic Map of Jump City
"As you can see before the time of the anomaly, everything was normal, then withing the 10 seconds it lasted, half of Jump City was covered in a chaotic, and destructive Ancient Magic. This Magic wasn't strong enough to do any damage thankfully, so whoever or whatever caused it, either didn't know how to use this type of Magic, or showed a point of weakness or extreme anger in their core. The only spot that was heavily covered with it was the general area of Titan Tower. As of now we don't know what exactly caused this, but I will see to it that it's checked out thoroughly, I would like to request Dr. Fate, and John Constantine's help in order to make the search quicker." - Zatanna sat back down after Batman gave a nod of approval.
"Starfire, did you sense anything different today while you where in the Tower?" - Batman
Starfire stood up and answered a but nervously
"Yes, infact, I may know who caused it." - Starfire
"Then tell us." - Batman
"I think it was the friend Beastboy and Raven brought to the Tower today." - Starfire
"How old were they, and what was their name?" - Batman
"She is the same age as Beastboy and Raven, and I only know her first name: Marinette." - Starfire
"Well, was their any instance when this Marinette seemed different or angry?" - Zatanna
"Yes... it was during her and Robin's duel..." - Starfire
"What?" - Batman
"Why the hell would Demon Spawn duel a civi?" - Red Hood
"She beat him and everyone else at UMS3. I am unable to change his mind when it is made up, so I kept a close eye on them during their match." - Starfire
"So then she lost to Robin and got mad?" - Nightwing
"No... Robin, couldn't land a hit on her so he threw insults at her to get her mad... and it worked, though probably not how he planned." - Starfire
"Was there any noticable change about her?" - Zatanna
"She had a strange feeling to her afterwars, it felt almost curse like, or... more like looking at death? She asked for Robin to apologize, yet he didn't. Her movements were quick and precise, and she took Robin down." - Starfire
Everyone was in silence at the table... except
"She took down Demon SPAWN OH MY GOD!" - Red Hood was soon laughing his ass of, and fell out of his chair
As Red Hood laughed at the not so funny situation, they all looked to Batman for their next move
"Did she, or anyone mention who her parents where, and where she might live?" - Batman
"No, oddly enough, not once did she or her friends say anything about how she or her family were, nothing about where she lived or names of family members." - Starfire
"Then we'll assign two individuals to keep an eye on her." - Batman
"But who should we send?" - Superman
Red Hood just kept laughing, until Batman spoke up
"We'll send Red Hood." - Batman
"Hahaha- WAIT WHAT?! Why do I have to Babysit?!" - Red Hood
"Becuase you haven't had a mission in a while." - Batman
"Bullshit, I have done a lot of missions lately!" - Red Hood
"Name one mission within the last month you had." - Batman
". . . Fine I'll babysit." - Red Hood grumpily sat back down in his chair
"Was anyone from the Tower somewhat close to her, other than Beastboy and Raven?" - Batman
"Nightstar seemed to be forming a possible good friendship." - Starfire
"Then Nightstar will accompany Red Hood in watching them." - Batman
"Why did you make it sound like she's incharnge of me?! I'm the adult!" - Red Hood was offended, but Batman ignored him and stood up from his seat to finish the meeting.
·•————· The next day ·————•·
Marinette introduce Mushu to her Aunt the next morning, and they got along quite well from the start. Apparently, Mushu likes shiny things, and has agreed to help perfect Catwoman's heists if he gets at least one shiny gem or metal object...
Her Uncle wasn't able to meet Mushu, since he was caught by a Batbird and was sent to Arkham. Which might be a good thing for once, her Uncle never liked small talking creatures.
Marinette couldn't go out, since Raven and Beastboy told her that she was gonna be under surveillance again, and since her moms were out ‘working’ she was left with her Aunt, Mushu, Bud and Lou. Marinette tried to find ways not to be board, but she failed, and was hanging upsidedown from the railing of the metal spral staircase, while blowing bubblegum when her Aunt walked in.
"What are you doing?" - Selina was confused why Marinette was blowing bubblegum upsidedown... again
"*pop*Trying to think of something fun to do." - Marinette
"... Upsidedown?" - Selina walked closer till she was below her Neice, and looking up at her
"Yup *pop*." - Marinette looking at her Aunt
Selina didn't want Marinette to be like that all day, she could get a headache if Marinette stayed like that, and then she thought of something that might be good for Marinette to learn...
"How about we come up with a game?"- Selina smiled as she spoke
"*pop* Okay." - Marinette untangled her legs from the railing and gracefully landed infront of her Aunt
"*pop* What are the rules for this game?" - Marinette looked up at her Aunt with a smile, wondering if the game would be fun
"The rules are simple, no use of weapons, no outside help, at elast for now, no magic or help from Mushu, and no pat downs." - Selina
"Okay, and what is the objective for this game?" - Marinette
"Pickpocket me. It is a useful skill, and we'll make it fun, and if you get good at it, I'll let you join me on a robbing spree or two." - Selina
"Okay, easier said than done, do I have to be in your line of sight, or can I try and do it sneakily?" - Marinette
"Either is fine." - Selina
"Am I allowed to swap the items out with random objects?" - Marinette
"Of course, anything within the rules is allowed, as long as you get the objects." - Selina
"Okay, I'm ready then." - Marinette smiled at her Aunt, happy that this would be fun and useful
And she did remarkably well for her first time. Although Selina put the objects in slightly hard spots in her jackets, Marinette was able to get them, and swap them with other objects similar in size, even when she didn't know what the target item was. They kept on going, and Marinette kept getting better and better with each game. So Selina stepped it up a notch, and started grabbing bigger items, yet Marinette still did well. They took a break around noon for lunch.
"So how are you able to know what kind of item I have, and where, if you didn't see it?" - Selina was wondering how her Kitten managed to make such quick progress in such little time.
"Its' energy." - Marinette replied simply
"What do you mean?" - Selina looked at Marinette, did she have other meta-abilities?
"Everything has its own kind of energy, this table, the silverware, your hidden tazer in your watch." - Marinette listing off different items
"So, you can differentiate the different energies, and know what they are right off the bat?" - Selina
"More or less, I have to know what object the energy is related to, so I would have to at least see it once, and then I can tell what and where it is by the energy, though I can't have a very wide search range, the bigger the object the easier it is to sense it from far away, and the smaller it is, the harder it is to sense from a distance." - Marinette
"Does this also apply to people?" - Selina
"Yes, though the energy of people is unique to only them, I have yet to see two people with the same energy." - Marinette got up from the table to continue their game
"I'm so proud of you!" - Selina gave Marinette a big hug before continuing the game
By the end of the day Marinette was a master at slight of hand. A useful skill for what she had planned. Sometime around 8pm Marinette decided to go out as Wonder Quinn, though her suit had the same color designs, it was altered to fit the cold weather. She also made a special pocket for Mushu within her hoodie, so he could stay in it whether she had it on her head or not. She was running along the rooftops, heading to a special spot where she met up with Beastboy and Raven, they stopped a few crimes as they mostly had fun on the rooftops. They got some snacks and were sitting on some gargoyles...
"... I think I want to steal the Batmobile." - Marinette proclaimed nonchalantly
"*PFFFFF* WHAT?!" - Raven/Beastboy spat there drinks out in shock
"I said I want to steal the Batmobile, I promise I'll return it afterwards." - Marinette smiled sweetly at her friends, they were in for a long, and fast ride.

Chapter 6: Are You An Angel or The Spawn of Satan?
·•·—–·•†•·–—·•·
Marinette woke up early the next morning to greet Frank and the other plants. She spent the morning with her family and had started walking Bud and Lou when she got a message from her GGC(Gotham Group Chat)
~·•·–—·•·—–·•·~
Animal King-dumb: WAZZUUUUUUP!!!
Shadow Mage: Welcome Back.
Quinn Of Mayhem: Wazuuuuuuup! and I’m glad to be back, so, anything exciting happen while I was gone?
Animal King-dumb: It’s been waaaaay boring without you here.
Shadow Mage: He’s been fighting Robin almost every day.
Quinn Of Mayhem: … Explain.
Animal King-dumb: … (᯾ ☾︎•☽︎_☾︎•☽︎)
Shadow Mage: He blames Robin for making you leave Gotham.
Animal King-dumb: Traitor!
Quinn Of Mayhem: I’m gone for 4 months, and you still can’t get along?
Animal King-dumb: … He started it!
Shadow Mage: That’s what she said. Anyway you up for meeting at the usual spot? We got a surprise for you.
Animal King-dumb: Hey!
Quinn Of Mayhem: Sure, just let me finish walking Bud and Lou, and I’ll head over.
Shadow Mage: See you soon.
Animal King-dumb: Don’t ignore me!!!
~·•·–—·•·—–·•·~
Marinette finished walking Bud and Lou, told her moms and aunt she was going out for the day and headed to the usual spot.
When she got to the spot she was engulfed in a bone crushing hug from Garfield
“Mari’s back! Yeah! Now we can play the new UMS3 that came out!” - Garfield
“We have to get to the Tower first.” - Rachel
“What Tower?” - Marinette
“We’re taking you to Titan Tower!” - Garfield
“It’s our ‘Welcome Back’ gift to you.” - Rachel
“… Does that mean…” - Marinette getting excited
“Yup!” - Garfield
“ZETA-TUBE!!/ Pizza!!!!” - Marinette/Garfield
“Yes, Zeta-… We practiced this and yet you still say pizza.” - Rachel looking at Garfield
“Pizza’s good, and so are Zeta-Tubes!!” - Marinette
“Yeah!” - Garfield
They started walking and after about 10 minutes, they arrived at a wearhouse. Once they entered, they walked to the back wall, Marinette watched as Rachel used some magic to open a secret passage. When they went inside Marinette saw the tech filled room, with the glorious Zeta-Tube in the center. She stared at the Zeta-Tube, watching as it began to power up.
“Alright, it’s ready, but first.” - Rachel made a circular motion with her finger as she mumbled something under her breath, and in a flash of purple she was now dressed as Raven.
“That was awesome!” - Marinette admired the cloak Raven had as they stepped closer to the Zeta-Tube. It began to open, preparing to send them to Titan Tower in Jump City
“… Did I ever tell you how Cy became a cyborg?” - Beastboy with a mischievous smile
“No, how?” - Marinette turned her head to look at Beastboy
“It was from a Zeta-Tube.” - Beastboy placed his arms behind his head as he calmy spoke
“WHAT?!-” - Marinette’s shout echoed for a moment before they were Zeta beamed away.
……… ……… ………
Marinette slowly looked around the room, and sighed in relief when she saw all her limbs attached.
“… See? Nothing happened, honestly, you’re such a scaredy c-ahk!” - Beastboy was instantly put in a headlock by Marinette.
“You jerk! I thought I was actually going to lose a limb! What’s wrong with you?!” - Marinette tightening her grip as she pins Beastboy to the floor
“Uncle!… u-uncle…!” - Beastboy flailed his one free arm in an attempt to get Marinette off him, but it was to no avail.
“What is the meaning of your commotion?” - Starfire walked in, only to see a dark haired girl she assumed was the friend that was to visit today, holding Beastboy in a death lock on the floor while Raven recorded it.
“Pl..eee..ase! Help…! Sta…ref…ire!!!… she’s… kil…ling…me!!!!!!!” - Beastboy streched his only free arm out in the direction Starfire was standing, which caused Marinette to stop and realize she was making a scene.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to disturb you!” - Marinette instantly got off of Beastboy as Raven stopped recording, and Beastboy finally got air back in his lungs
“He had it coming.” - Rachel putting her phone away
“No I didn’t!” - Beastboy started arguing with Raven as Starfire approached Marinette
“Please, there is no need to be sorry. May I ask of your name?” - Starfire smiled gently at Marinette as she spoke
“My name is Marinette, it is a pleasure to meet you.” - Marinette replied with a smile as she looked up at Starfire
“And I you. I am Starfire, please come with me to the living room.” - Starfire lead Marinette to the living room, soon followed by Raven and a now calm Beastboy
When they entered the room Marinette’s eyes instantly fell onto the big screen TV. She quickly realized the other people in the living room were playing Ultimate Mecha Strike 3.
“I Win, wait for it… Again! Time to pay up you two!” - Nightstar streched out her hand as Robin and Cyborg begrudgingly handed her a 5 dollar bill.
“Thank you very much.” - Nightstar
“Tt. This game is clearly defective.” - Robin
“There’s no way you can win a 2v1 like that without hacks.” - Cyborg
“Hehehe, Nightstar is unbeatable!” - Nightstar then put her money in a jar on the coffee table
“We shall see.” - Raven
“Is that a challenge?” - Nightstar turned around, quickly spotting the girl she assumed was Beastboy’s friend, Marinette.
“You brought a civilian here?” - Robin was clearly not happy
“We said we were bringing my friend over.” - Beastboy
“Our, friend.” - Raven corrected Beastboy
“No you didn’t.” - Robin with a scowl that would make his father proud
“Hold up! Did you just acknowledge her as your friend?!” - Cyborg
“… Anyway, yes we said we were bringing a friend… we just didn’t tell you specifically that she was coming.” - Raven ignoring Cyborg
“She can’t stay- ” - Robin was quickly interrupted by Nightstar jumping onto the backrest of the couch
“I challenge you, Lady Marinette, said champion of the Ultimate Mecha Strike games, and friend of Beastboy and Raven, to a battle to the dealth in Ultimate Mecha Strike 3, Gotham Addition!” - Nightstar pointed at Marinette as she stood on the couch
“… Sure, but can I look at the controls first?” - Marinette made her way over to the couch
“Of course, but it won’t help you defeat me in the end.” - Nightstar plopped herself back onto the couch as she grabbed her controller, and handed one to Marinette
“So, is there a bet system you use or?” - Marinette
“You’re new, so we won’t add the 5 dollar winners fee.” - Nightstar getting comfortable in her spot
“Okay.” - Marinette quickly memorized all the combos for most of the characters
“Alright, let’s choose our characters!” - Nightstar quickly selected Startfire as her character
“… I’ll go with this one.” - Marinette chose Harley Quinn, seeing as one of her combos was pretty op.
“You’re choosing her? All her movesets are useless, why not use one that has actual powers?” - Nightstar said hoping to speed Marinette up
“… I’ll stick with her thanks. Also, you’ll change your mind pretty soon.” - Marinette now had that look in her eyes, one that Beastboy knew all to well from when they had last encountered the Batfam… So he and Raven took out their phones and pressed record

FIGHT!
The battle was quick, too quick. Marinette had within mere seconds, defeated Nightstar, using a combo none of the Titans had ever seen before… the room was all but silent except for the game’s music
“So, is she still a useless character?” - Marinette’s face had a smile, but her voice had a barely noticeable icy edge to it, that had the Titans and even Starfire, an adult, visibly tense up.
“No! She’s an amazing character!” - Nightstar blurted out
“Indeed she is, actually, all the characters have their own unique moves, it says it right there in the move set list.” - Marinette had lost the icy edge in her voice just as quickly as she had gained it.
The Titans stared at her, Beastboy and Raven giving Marinette a thumbs up, while they still had their phones recording.
“I-I call hacks! There’s no way anyone could ever beat someone, let alone Nightstar, that fast!” - Cyborg, still trying to process what happened
“Have you ever heard of spead runners?” - Marinette now had the most innocent look on her face, the very image of an earth bound angel
“Well… yes, but still, you must’ve used hacks!” - Cyborg couldn’t come up with any reasonable answer other than that
“If you think I cheated, why don’t you all take turns against me? If you still think I’m cheating, then we can do a 3 v 1 match. Fair?” - Marinette motioned for the two boys to sit on the couch, and before they knew it, they were sitting on the couch
Needless to say Marinette won against them, both in the 1 v 1 battles and in the 3 v 1 matches (yes they had a few 3 v 1 matches), and during the last fight they finally managed to land a hit that got Marinette’s health to 99.99%, before she kicked their asses with the most insane combo ever. Now Nightstar, Robin and Cyborg are staring at their side of the screen, watching as it flashes with the word ‘»Loser«’ in bold over their avatars, definitely starting to think Marinette is a meta
“This is unacceptable! I refuse to be beaten by a child!” - Robin marched off into a different room, before coming back out with two swords - “Duel. Now!”
“Robin, you know there is a no fighting with civilians rule, right?” - Beastboy had the smugest shit eating grin possible plastered on his face
“I.Don’t.Care.” - Robin sent a glare towards Beastboy, but it didn’t phase the green boy
“You sure? And here I thought you followed the rules. Also, I’m pretty sure you’re a child as well, especially with that attitude of yours.” - Marinette stood up as she crossed her arms with a smirk while staring at Robin
“Fight.Me…. Unless you’re scared.” - Robin tossed the second sword at Marinette’s feet with a devilish grin
Marinette picked up the sword before she spoke
“Oh little birdbrain, I’ll show you what it truly means to be scared shitless.” - Marinette smiled at Robin as she looked straight into his eyes
“…” - Robin wanted to say something to intimidated the girl, but something about the look in her eyes… a look scarily similar to a feral cat, sent shivers down his spine, yet he refused to back down
They entered the training room and got into their fighting positions, Starfire being the referee. Even though fighting with a civilian was against the rules, Starfire couldn’t stop Robin once he was dead set on something, (I mean, that’s how he got Bat-cow after all) but the least she could do was give them wooden swords, and be there for when Robin went too far.
Starfire signaled for them to begin, Marinette stayed in a defensive position, blocking all of Robin’s attacks with ease. He couldn’t get her to attack no matter how much he swung his sword at her, so he tried to anger her
“You’re a coward! I bet your parents are horrible people. You’re just some random person who doesn’t belong here.” - Robin pointed his sword at Marinette, who was about 10ft. infront of him, waiting to see if he managed to anger her
“Robin!” - Starfire was shocked that Robin would resort to such low tactics, she looked to Marinette, thinking the girl would start to cry
Marinette just stared at Robin, a cold, emotionless expression on her face. Her eyes began to have a cold feral look burning within them, aimed souly at Robin as she spoke two words, that once again sent shivers down Robin’s spine “Apologize.Now.”
“And why should I?” - Robin tightened his grip on the handle of his wooden sword as Marinette finally started to take slow steps towards him
“My parents are the most amazing people I could have ever asked for, and if you do not apologize by the time I’m 5ft. away from you, you’re dead.” - Marinette continued to walk forward, but Robin made no move to apologize
“Over my dead body.” - Robin
That’s when Beastboy and Raven internally bid Robin farewell as they held their phones proudly, to witness the bloodbath that would soon follow Robin’s last words
“… Such a shame, and to think I actually had a sliver of respect for you.”
And it was over, just as Marinette said, once she was exactly 5ft. from Robin, she was right infront of him in less than a second, her sword swinging fast and hard as Robin just barely managed to block it from hitting his neck. Marinette spared no time, and had her left leg swing forward in one quick motion, hitting Robin’s side, he stumbled back. Marinette swung her sword at him again, this time aiming for where his hands held the handle of his sword. As Robin tried to block Marinette’s attack, her sword slid down quickly, and onto his hand. Robin backed off, as he swaped the sword from his right had, to his left, but that was all he managed to do within the small moment he got away from Marinette. As Robin readied for the next blow, Marinette quickly changed from swinging her sword at him, to sweeping his legs out from under him. As Robin tried to process what had just happened, he felt the tip of Marinette’s sword press at his throat.
“Do you want to be a dead birdbrain, or a birdbrain that kept the last of it’s feathers?” - Marinette stared down at Robin as the other Titans, including Starfire, had their jaws on the floor
Robin stared at Marinette’s sword and then at Marinette before he finally answered meekly “sorry”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch that.” - Marinette gave him a smile as he glared up at her
“I’m.Sorry.” - Robin spoke through gritted teeth
“There! That wasn’t so hard now was it?” - Marinette pulled her sword away and streched out her hand to help Robin up
Although Beastboy and even Raven’s cackling made Robin want to refuse Marinette’s hand, he thought it best to just do as the bluenette said, and he dare not complain to his father, let alone any one of his brothers or sisters, about this. The last thing he needed was a new sister, he definitely didn’t want one like Marinette, she was like the Spawn of Satan herself once he angered her…
“Oh god… she’s just like me but ten time worse when I started living with father… fucking carma you bitch!”
As Robin was checked on by Starfire and Cyborg, Beastboy and Raven went up to Marinette to hug her
“Avenge my dealth.” - Robin looked to Cyborg
“… You better play coffin dance when I die.” - Cyborg turned to Marinette and spoke - “ I challenge you to a hack off!” - Cyborg figured he would win, considering he was the best hacker in Jump City
“Okay, what kind of simulation are you going to run?” - Marinette
At least, until Marinette came
“Pardon?” - Cyborg began to sweat
“Will it be time based, point based, stealth based, or will it be based on how much damage you can do?” - Marinette smiled as she spoke
Cyborg was royally screwed
“Uhhh, t-time based!” - Cyborg worked best under pressure, he got this in the bag
……… ……… ………
he didn’t have it in the bag
They had gone to the hacker simulation room, and set up the toughest program they had. Cyborg was the only one to ever beat it in under 5 minutes.
Marinette on the other hand beat it un under 30 seconds
“How the- why- how- impossible- can’t be- meta.” - Cyborg ran to Marinette grabbing her shoulder as he yelled - “You’re a Meta! That’s the only logical explanation!” - Cyborg had startled Marinette by doing what he did, which caused the bluenette to flip Cyborg over her shoulder, like it was nothing, hard onto the floor
“Sorry! Reflexes.” - Marinette helped the stunned Cyborg back up
“You aren’t human!” - Cyborg ran from Marinette into the safe room, hoping it was all a dream, a really bad dream, before coming back and stood behind Robin
“… I don’t have any meta powers that could help me hack though.” - Marinette was confused why Cyborg thought her being meta was the only answer, for all he knew, she had an uncle who was great with technology and really liked riddles!
“Is there anything you aren’t good at?!” - Nightstar couldn’t tell if she was in awe or scared of Marinette… but she did know one thing, she will become Marinette’s apprentice.
“I don’t know, magic maybe?” - Marinette never really tried magic, though it did intrigue her
Her answer caused Robin and Cyborg to run up to Raven both talking in sync
“Challenge her!Oh Raven- Kenobi You’re our only hope!” - Raven glared at them, they knew Star Wars quotes were her one true weakness
“*sigh* You want to learn magic?” - Raven look to Marinette who was instantly at her side as she spoke
“YES!” - Marinette hugged Raven, she would finally learn magic!
“Why do I feel like she won’t do the challenge?” - Cyborg looking at Robin
“Because she’s fallen to the dark side.” - Robin clenched his fist as he stared at his fallen teammate
They went back into the living room and got ready. Raven gave Marinette a piece of paper and a pen, and told her to draw what came to her mind when she thought of a magic symbol.
Once they were done, Raven had Marinette crumble her paper in her fist, and told her to imagine water flowing into it.
Raven’s crumpled paper turned into a dark purple and grey mist infront of her.
Once Raven’s mist cleared, a tiny Raven looking creature was floating in front of her.
“See? Just like that.” - Raven
“… Greetings my chosen, I am Tapp, the Raven Kwami of Magic, how may I serve thee?” - Tapp
“Oh… it can talk… that’s a first.” - Raven was a bit surprised
Then, Marinette’s crumpled paper turned into a smoke that was mixed with red, gold, and hints of blue, forming a tiny lizard shape before the smoke vanished, leaving behind a lizard.
“Ooh, I got a Lizard!” - Marinette bent down to admire the red lizard as it looked up at her
“Hey! Let’s get one thing straight! It’s Dragon. Dra-gon. Not lizard. I don’t do that tongue thing.” - The little Dragon then proceeded to do the tongue thing
“Okay, then mighty little dragon, why are you so tiny?” - Marinette was pretty sure dragons were bigger than 1½ foot.
“I am not tiny, I’m travel size, for your convenience.” - The little travel size dragon boasted
“… Why the hell are you here?” - Tapp zipped over to the dragon
“Oh, hey Tappy, how’s it Tappin?” -The dragon looked at Tapp, who had a frustrated look on his face
“For Mortals sake! I have told you to call me Tapp! My rightful name! You don’t see me calling you Mushie, or Mu-mu, or Shu shu! No, I call you Mushu, YOUR rightful name!” - Tapp was clearly annoyed
“Well, I can call you whatever I want Tappy, and I still wonder what roasted Raven tastes like.” - Mushu was now starting to eye Tapp as a snack
“No!” - Tapp hid in Raven’s hood to get away from Mushu
“… It’s nice to meet you Mushu, I’m Marinette.” - Marinette extended her hand for Mushu to hop up on
“Nice to meet you as well. So, where did you find my Miraculous?” - Mushu hoped up onto Marinette’s hand as she brought him to her face
“Your… what?” - Marinette
“My Miraculous, you know, a bronze broche that has the head of a dragon on it.” - Mushu waited for Marinette to show him his long beloved broche
“uhhhh… I don’t have it? I summoned you with a piece of paper.” - Marinette
“… wut?” - Mushu
And that’s how Marinette and Mushu met, she had to deal with Mushu having a mini heart attack, but all was good, she promised she would find his broche one day. Mushu ended up binding their souls, so he wouldn’t fade away, Tapp doing the same with Raven. He explained that normally a Kwami is bound to their Miraculous, which can then be easily passed down threw generations, but somehow, he and Tapp were summoned without their Miraculous, which meant one of two things, either their Miraculous was destroyed, or they were lost in one of the different dimensions that exists between the mortal realms, and the realm of the Kwamis.
Marinette didn’t see much of Robin, Cyborg or Starfire after her successful summoning. She spent the rest of her time with Nightstar (who seemed to be following Marinette around), Raven and Beastboy. And before Marinette knew it, she was heading back to Gotham in the Zeta-Tube, a new friend in hand, and a lot of explanations for when she got home.
She knows her Moms and Aunt will love Mushu, but she can’t say the same for her Uncle, who has a fear of tiny travel size sentient beings.
How was her life so chaotic, yet so wonderful at the same time?
Well, that’s something only fate knows.

This is part of my PACK AU. I decided that I would post one shots about this au and then, when I have more time, I will do a whole fanfic.
You can find parts of this AU here, here, here and here.
This is 1.6K!
They were at lunch. No one wanted to go to the bakery that day for lunch, as Sabine and Tom were busy with a huge order from André Bourgeois for a political event at the hotel.
So, they had arranged to bring food/sweets to lunch together in a forgotten room at school.
Marinette had brought a strawberry charlotte russe (the whole cake); Adrien had made chocolate chip cookies; Kagami arrived with various sweets and drinks that had been sent to her from Japan; Luka came with calissons; Damian set a box of mahmoul on the table; Chloe had baked a salted caramel pie; Max had brought croissants and Kim macarons.
The Kwamis were too happy to see the variety. (Plagg grumbled a little for not having Camembert, but Tikki managed to control him.)
It was a feast. Both for the food and for each other’s presence. All eight were resting after eating everything.
Adrien lying on Luka and Chloe’s legs; Chloe resting her head on the musician’s shoulder while her hands hugged Kagami sideways; Kagami had Kim sitting on the floor between her legs and with his back to her; Damian’s legs stretched over Kim’s, Marinette in his arms; Max was lying fully on the floor with only his head resting on Marinette’s thigh while playing a game on the phone.
It was calm and quiet. Or rather calm and quiet minus Kim. He kept twitching.
Chloe snorts irritably.
“I’ll kick you out of the room if you don’t keep quiet.”
“Let’s do something!” He moans. “I ate too much sugar and now I can’t calm down.”
Marinette makes a murmur understanding the boy. She also felt energy rush under her skin from too much sugar.
“I think we’re all in the same boat.” Damian mutters against Marinette’s neck.
“How about we play dodgeball?” Adrien says suddenly and sits down to look at everyone. “It will drain the excess energy and we can have fun too.”
“Hmm, I don’t know…” Max replies. “Do you have clothes in the locker room?”
“No.” Kagami nods negatively. “But that would be no problem. We can get some from Mari-hime’s house.”
“Okay.” Luka smiles, breaking away from Chloe and standing up. “I think we’ll play dodgeball.”
xxxx
Francois Dupont was not prepared for a dodgeball match between eight heroes.
Not even Ms. Bustier’s class.
All the students had gone to the second floor, the floor that gave access to the classrooms, to give more space for the fierce battle that was taking place in the school yard.
It was easy to recognize the shock, disbelief, and envy on the students’ faces each time Marinette Dupain-Cheng deftly deflected a ball that would probably be fatal (and painful) if it hit her.
When Kagami Tsurugi violently kicked a ball coming toward her back to Max, who just used another ball to escape the attack and the school choked on watching it.
They saw Kim Le Chien jump into the basketball hoop to catch a wandering ball and then, hanging upside down, throw the ball with unbelievable force toward Adrien Agreste.
Adrien, who exhibited abnormal flexibility in deflecting the most absurd attacks. Like when he fell to the floor with his legs spread like a ballerina without showing any discomfort with it.
Damian Al-Ghul was vicious. He seemed to be playing to draw blood, no matter if they were his friends in a friendly game. Each time he made his move, the ball bounced off the floor or walls in a loud, dry noise. Students shuddered every time this happened.
The biggest surprise of the audience was to see Chloe Bourgeois and Luka Couffaine in the midst of the carnage. Chloe for being the untouchable princess of Mayor Bourgeois and Luka for being known as a calm and very sweet guy.
But they were very different at the time.
Luka had a manic smile on his face, sliding on the floor like a pro and retaliating with power. Chloe giving no opportunity for the other team to retaliate before falling down by killing with multiple balls in various directions. She was flushed and sweating, but didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
Nino shudders when Adrien is the first to be hit. The sound of the ball hitting the model’s chest makes the DJ panic and he almost runs to his friend but is prevented by the blonde’s amused laugh.
“That was great, Ure!” He makes a move, a kip-up and soon stands, not looking hurt.
“I know.” Damian shouts back. “You’re getting slow, kitty. I think we’re feeding you too much.”
Ms. Bustier’s class reacts with surprise upon hearing the nickname.
“Kitty?” Alya mutters.
“Is he getting slow?” Nathaniel chokes.
“Dude, they’re feral!” A boy of Ms. Mendeleev’s class says excitedly.
“Adrien is so beautiful!” Adrien’s fan club sighs.
They watch Marinette eliminate Chloe in a skilled and powerful counterattack. The sound of the ball against Bourgeois’s thigh made it clear that Marinette was sparing no effort to eliminate her opponents.
Even if it was her friends.
Someone (a boy) whistles in appreciation.
“This girl is good.”
“She’s hot.” Another (boy) person responds.
Before Lila could say anything disparaging about Marinette, Kagami Tsurugi’s blazing gaze stopped in her direction. In their direction.
Kagami was still in the middle of the game when she stopped to look at them. And even being distracted by them, she was still fully capable of deflecting Kim’s shots.
“Is it my imagination or is she looking at us?” Boy #1 asks.
“Do you think she could hear what I said?” Boy #2 asks back.
“Impossible, she doesn't—” Kagami raises an eyebrow and they squeak in surprise.
She smiles sarcastically and then turns her attention back to the game as if nothing has happened.
“Holy shit. I think I pissed on my pants.” Boy #2 whispers.
Not just him. Lila could still feel the coldness of that look digging into her skin.
That group was scary.
Alya, on the other hand, was feeling in the twilight zone.
That could not be real. Marinette, who could barely walk on the paved ground without injury, was there, running and jumping, displaying a skill Alya had never seen before.
At least not from Marinette.
“I didn’t know Max was so skilled.” Ivan says beside her and she was forced to look away from the girl who used to be her best friend.
And- Oh! Another surprise.
She really couldn’t understand anything else. She was lost.
xxxx
The game ended with a draw.
On one side left Marinette and Kagami, on the other, Damian and Kim.
They had come to a halt, no one being able to hit anyone and the game was dragging on. Even if it didn’t let it be fun, the sugar effect was crumbling and they were already getting tired.
But even so, the game would continue if it wasn’t for Luka (God bless such a good person) warning about the time.
Kim sighed hopelessly, but agrees. They needed to shower and change to sit in the classroom for the rest of the day.
The four soon emerged from attack positions and began picking up the balls thrown across the yard to store. Kim still upset that he didn’t go on playing.
“Come on, we’ll finish this game later and we’ll know who’s the best.” Damian pats the boy comfortingly on the back and he cheers again with the promise of a rematch.
“Of course, it’s me.” He heaves his chest proudly.
Chloe laughs at that. “In your dreams, Capuchin.”
Kim pouts at her and Max stands on tiptoe so he can rub his hair.
“We’re done with the balls. Now let’s go home to change clothes.”
Luka appears (he had gone out to fetch their bags and lunch’s trash), his hands busy. He was still sweaty despite being the second to be eliminated.
“I already cleaned and closed the room. Let’s go because we’ll be late otherwise.”
“Ok mom!” The seven respond and he rolls his eyes.
Marinette was going to take the bag from Luka, but Adrien stops her.
“Mariiiii.” He calls, the bright eyes of a mischievous kitten.
She already knew what he wanted.
“Oh God. I can never resist those eyes.” She pretends to be angry and he laughs. "Okay, let’s go. Just this once.”
Marinette turns her back to Adrien and stretches her arms back. Adrien doesn’t think twice before wrapping his arms around her neck and wrapping his legs around her waist.
She holds his legs to give more security and starts walking, trying to reach the rest of the pack.
"I love you, Mari.” Adrien whispers against her ear. “I love you all.”
Marinette smiles.
“I-We love you too, kitten.”
“And we will protect you.” Kagami says, patting his back.
“Thanks. I’m so lucky.” Adrien hides his face in the back of Marinette’s neck and sniffs.
They were lucky. Having each other. A family.
“… Did she just carry him like he weighed nothing?” Mylene blinks once more to make sure she was seeing right.
“Chloe was laughing. Really laughing.” Sabrina says. She looked stunned.
"Kitty…” Alya mutters. She still couldn’t get it out of her mind.
“Did Damian have a septum ring or was I imagining that?” Rose asks.
“Mom?” Juleka whispers.
“Kitty.” Alya again.
“Capuchin.” Nathaniel puts his hands against his head and squeezes.
“Kim gave up on a competition…” Alix says in surprise.
“They looked very close.” Lila points out.
“KITTY!” Alya shouts.
Nino and Ivan just watch the class catch fire… and Alya lose her mind.

Omg this was so adorable! Literally just what I needed today. Thank you for the fic 💕💕
For your valentines drabbles: Echo/Cadence for prompt: Dancing! Thank you 💕💕
Thanks for the request and for the opportunity to write more about these two! 💙
The song that Cadence sings in this drabble is “Better When I’m Dancin’” by Meghan Trainor.
It’s also here on AO3.
Echo was tired. It wasn’t something specific, though. He hadn’t had a particularly difficult workout nor had the 501st’s most recent mission been especially long. He hadn’t lost anyone he was close to recently nor had he performed any tasks that were more mentally taxing than normal. No, it was more of a general tiredness.
He was tired of war, of watching his brothers die—whether or not he was close with them—and the hopelessness of it all. How much longer would it go on? However long that was, would he even live to see the end? It was just one of those days.
But Echo did his best to push his weariness to the back of his mind as he strode through the streets of Coruscant. Cadence had just arrived on the capital planet and it would be their first time seeing each other in over a month. That last thing he wanted was to dampen their reunion with his dismal mindset about a situation that he wouldn’t be able to change.
When he reached the hangar, he stopped to take a breath before approaching her ship, making one more effort to clear his thoughts. Then he made his way over to her freighter, the Atonal , and tapped the entry code into the security panel.
“Echo!”
He had only just made it to the top of the ramp when he heard his name. Then Cadence was running at him and leaping into his arms. He caught her instinctively and held her off the ground as she kissed him fiercely.
“I missed you,” he breathed, after they broke apart.
He was still holding her and she leaned her forehead against his. “Echo, what’s wrong?”
He fought the urge to sigh. Of course she knew and he knew better than to think that she wouldn’t sense his negative emotions immediately.
“It’s nothing specific,” he answered honestly. “Just one of those days when I wish this war would just end already.”
“Do you want to talk about it?”
He shook his head.
“Dance with me then,” she said.
“What? Now?” He wasn’t opposed to dancing in general, but now didn’t seem like the best time.
“Yes! Put me down.” He did. “Now, come on.”
She took his hands and led him to the living area of her ship.
“Bettii!”
At the sound of her name, the little BD unit darted in from the direction of the cockpit. She beeped excitedly when she spotted Echo and hurried over to greet him by climbing up onto his shoulder.
“Hey, Bettii,” he said, patting the droid’s head.
Cadence pressed two fingers to the side of Bettii’s head and music began to trickle out of the little droid. The instrumental tune was upbeat and Cadence immediately added her voice.
—
Don’t think about it, just move your body
Listen to the music, sing, oh, ey, oh
—
A small smile crept onto Echo’s face as his partner, still holding his hands, pulled him farther into the center of the room. It really wasn’t fair. She knew hearing her singing voice always made him smile.
Bettii hopped off his shoulder and Cadence continued her vocals, as she began moving their arms in some sort of motion that Echo didn’t quite understand.
“What dance is this?” he asked.
“Don’t worry about it!” she responded, between lyrics.
“But what are the steps?” Echo asked again.
“I have no idea!” She beamed at him and he couldn’t stop his own smile from widening.
—
We can do this together
I bet you feel better when you’re dancin’, yeah, yeah
—
Now they were spinning aimlessly around the ship’s living area, still joined by their hands. At one point, Echo thought to lift one of his arms, so Cadence could twirl underneath it. Then he pulled her to him and kept an arm around her waist as they continued their chaotic dance routine. His partner’s voice remained steady the entire time; he still couldn’t understand how she could sing so flawlessly while moving her body so rapidly.
When the song finally tapered off, Echo halted their steps and pulled her into a series of heated kisses. They were both breathing heavily by the time their lips disconnected and he bent down to lean his forehead against hers.
“Thank you,” he whispered, tucking some of her wavy hair behind her ear.
“I hope it helped,” she said quietly. “For now, at least.”
“It did.” He tilted his head to place another soft kiss on her mouth.
The Love Drabble requests are now closed, but stay tuned for more drabbles that have yet to be posted! 💕
Can I request fivesoka and “one kiss isn’t enough” for the mistletoe prompts 👀💕
Thanks for this request! I enjoyed writing this one so much! 😁
Also tagging @ahsokathegray, since you also requested this prompt for Fivesoka. I am planning to write this prompt for them again, so I'll answer your ask then!
Hope you enjoy! 💙

79’s had always been bright and colorful, in keeping with the tone of Coruscant night life, but Ahsoka really hadn’t expected the establishment to sport Life Day decorations. A massive green wreath hung over the entrance and strings of multi-colored lights decorated the exterior of the building, including the doorway. Inside, the same colorful lights outlined the bar and tables, and other various lights, plants, and sparkly ornaments were sprinkled throughout the bar.
Her friends in the 501st had invited her out for drinks that evening. It was the first time their leave had lined up since she was promoted to general and officially transferred to the 332nd. She was excited to see the troopers she had worked alongside for so long, but there was one man in particular who she was looking forward to reuniting with.
As soon as the blue and white armor came into view, a chorus of greetings flooded her montrals. She couldn’t help the joyful grin that spread across her face as she slid into the booth beside Fives. With how many people were squeezed into the booth, it was a bit of a tight fit, so it only made sense for her to sit close enough for their legs to press together.
His amber eyes locked on her blue ones for a heartbeat before she turned to the rest of the troopers.
The clones and their former commander quickly caught up, exchanging battle stories and developments in a few of the guys’ personal lives. Then Ahsoka commented on 79’s unexpected Life Day decor and their conversation shifted to their surroundings.
“There’s even mistletoe hanging in some of the corners,” Echo pointed out. He nodded towards a vacant corner near their table and Ahsoka was able to spot the green plant with white berries hanging from the ceiling.
“Interesting. Any of you guys get a kiss tonight?” she asked, raising her eyebrow markings suggestively.
She wasn’t quite sure what she expected the response to be. Jesse and Kix both raised a hand and then, to her surprise, Tup shyly raised his fingers as well.
“Good for you, Tup!” Ahsoka leaned across the table to offer him a fist bump.
“Hey, what about me?” Jesse whined.
“Fine,” she chucked, offering her fist. “Good job, Jesse.”
“How about you, General?” Hardcase asked. “You going to kiss someone?”
“Maybe you should kiss Fives,” Jesse burst out, before she could answer. “Normally he’d have gotten ten kisses by now, but the lazy di’kut hasn’t even tried.”
“Hey, I could’ve gotten a kiss if I wanted one,” Fives protested.
“Maybe you should prove it then,” Hardcase challenged. “How about it, General?”
Now the entire table was staring at her, except for Fives, who was making an effort to specifically not look in her direction. Normally she wouldn’t participate in traditions like this, but… She couldn’t help casting a glance at the man next to her.
“I suppose,” she agreed, feigning reluctance. “Is that okay with you, Fives?”
“Sure, why not?” He shrugged, like it didn’t matter one way or the other.
“Don’t be too eager now, you guys,” Jesse teased, sarcastically.
Neither Ahsoka nor Fives acknowledged him as they stood and made their way over to the nearest mistletoe.
“They have no idea, do they?” Ahsoka asked, lowering her voice so only Fives could hear.
“Nope.” The ARC’s mouth spread into a half-grin. “Not sure if I’m thankful or offended that no one actually asked why I stayed in my seat all night.”
“I appreciate that.” She knew Fives’ reputation for frequent hookups as well as anyone or at least the reputation he’d had before they became a couple.
“Did you expect anything less?” His voice was teasing, but she saw the way his amber eyes flickered earnestly.
“Of course not,” she reassured him, softly.
“Hey!” Both of their heads jerked in the direction of their table as Jesse called out. “Are you two going to kiss or what?”
Fives flicked a rude gesture at his brother, while Ahsoka rolled her eyes. Then they turned back to each other.
She wasn’t sure how they were going to play this. No one knew about their relationship, aside from Echo, and she wasn’t sure if now was the time to reveal it. Maybe it would be best to just kiss quickly, for show.
Ahsoka was opening her mouth to suggest that course of action, when Fives stepped in and kissed her. The instant their lips touched, she felt warmth spread through her body. He was already wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, while his other hand cupped her cheek. She instinctively lifted her arms over his shoulders. She knew the confidence of their movements were absolutely not indicative of a first kiss, but as Fives ran his tongue along her lower lip, she realized that she didn’t care in the slightest.
“Kriff, I missed you,” Fives said, when they broke apart for a heartbeat.
“I missed you too.” Ahsoka was practically cut off as he pressed his lips to hers again.
One of her hands found its way up into his hair, pulling him farther into her. He responded eagerly, using the arm around her hips to press her flush against him. She probably could have kissed him forever, but after several long minutes, their kisses began to taper off. Fives pressed one more soft kiss to her cheek before loosening his hold on her.
Figuring their relationship was sufficiently revealed, they threaded their fingers together as they walked back to their table.
Fives’ brothers were silent as he and Ahsoka sat back down; all of them were staring at the couple, frozen with shock. All except for Echo, who was cackling madly.

“Look who’s under the mistletoe now.”
Before Ahsoka could turn towards Fives’ voice, his arms encircled her waist from behind and he pulled her back against his chest. She felt the brush of his goatee as he settled his chin between her montrals. She didn’t know why he suddenly felt the need to hold her this way, but she certainly wasn’t complaining.
She looked over to the corner of the room to where she knew the mistletoe was hanging. She and Fives had spotted it as soon as they arrived at Riyo’s party, and they had been scoping it out throughout the evening; watching to see who they could catch kissing beneath the hanging plant. They’d already seen Bly and Aayla, Obi-Wan and Satine, and Riyo and Fox, of course. Then to their surprise, they’d seen Tech and Phee together, and then Crosshair and the beautiful blonde woman that he’d brought as his date.
“Crosshair has a date?” Fives had gasped in surprise, though he’d kept his voice low against Ahsoka’s montral.
“Don’t act so surprised,” she scolded, smacking her partner lightly on the arm.
Then a short while later, they’d spotted Echo under the mistletoe, making out with an auburn-haired woman who Ahsoka didn’t recognize.
“Oh yeah, Echo had a girlfriend too,” Fives had explained, vaguely. Then Ahsoka had slammed her hand over his mouth when he added that he should cheer them on. She’d ask him more details about that later.
Now it was Anakin and Padmé, and Ahsoka couldn’t help but smile as she watched her former master with his wife. Now that the war was over, he’d left the Jedi, and his marriage was common knowledge; he and Padmé were nearly inseparable.
And now Ahsoka could relate. She tilted her head up slightly, attempting to catch a glimpse of her partner, who was still holding her from behind.
“What?” Fives asked, turned his head to meet her eyes. “You want to go next?”
“What, no!” she protested.
“Why not?”
“Fives, you can kiss me whenever you want,” Ahsoka pointed out. “We don’t need mistletoe.”
“But it’ll be romantic.” He pulled her against him again and pushed his nose into her neck, sending goosebumps rippling across her skin.
“Stop!” she laughed. She wiggled in his arms until she could turn around to face him. “Just kiss me here.”
She rose on her toes and attempted to kiss his mouth, but he leaned back, out of reach.
“No, I want to kiss you under the mistletoe,” he said again.
“Fives,” Ahsoka groaned, banging her fists lightly on his chest. “You’re not going to get me to go over there, so you might as well kiss me here.”
“But the Skywalkers are done now.” He nodded towards the now empty mistletoe corner. “Just in time for us.”
“By the time you get me over there, we will have wasted all this time that we could have just been kissing right here,” she pointed out.
“Well, we better hurry up then.”
Before Ahsoka could protest again, Fives bent down and scooped her into his arms. By the time he’d carried her over to the mistletoe, she had buried her face in his chest to muffle her own laughter.
She lifted her head when she felt him stop walking and glanced up to see the white berries of the mistletoe looking down at them. Then she turned to look at her partner. His amber eyes were sparking with mischief and he had the smuggest grin stretched across his face.
“Okay, you win,” she huffed. “Are you going to put me down?”
“Nope.”
Then Fives leaned down and kissed her deeply. He didn’t hesitate to graze her lower lip with his teeth and push his tongue into her mouth to intertwine it with hers. It was the kind of kiss that always made Ahsoka’s lekku heat and her heart flip. When he placed one last, soft kiss on her lips and pulled back, it was way too soon.
“So, was that kiss worth coming over here for?” he asked. He finally loosened his grip and let her place her feet back on the floor, but he kept his arms around her waist, holding her close to him.
“Maybe.” She offered him a smirk. No way was she going to make this easy for him. “Would be better if you’d just kiss me like that all the time.”
Fives raised an eyebrow and his lips pulled up into the half-smile that she loved so much.
“That can be arranged.”
Before she could respond, he was pulling her in to kiss her again.

Go read this fic by my awesome friend! It’s so good 😍💚👀 I can’t wait for more already!
Okay, I really didn’t think I’d be posting Chapter 1 this soon, but I got too excited! 😆
—
These notes are also posted on the first chapter:
Welcome to Divergence! This has been my biggest wip yet and I'm so excited to finally be posting it! This fic, which has already been drafted in its entirety, is the first of three fics of similar length that I have planned. Originally, it was outlined as one massive fic, but I chose to break it up for my own sanity.
Before we jump in, here are some things you can expect from the series (in a really small nutshell):
Overall themes/storylines - Fivesoka (emphasis on the “slow burn”), PTSD (healing is not linear!), accelerated aging cure, local crime
Part 1 - Beginning on Coruscant, but most of the fic is domestic life stuff
Part 2 - Kix fix-it (this is my favorite part out of the three)
Part 3 - Order 66 and more clones joining them
There will also be a Fives & Echo reunion, but I won’t say which part that’s in! 😉
—
I’m going to try to post Chapter 2 within the next few days. I meant to post it tonight, but I’m so tired. After that, it’ll be one chapter a week.
