Curate, connect, and discover
Crying in front of mechanics or mathematics was not my idea of how I was going to spend my evenings as a university student…
More alcohol and fewer theorems would be better
Am I procrastinating from reading my books for school while reading other books? Yes. will I regret it? probably. am I going to stop doing it? Never.
I wake up at 6am, take my two buses at 7, get to look at the beautiful sunrise with headphones in my ears. I enjoy looking out the window, seeing the busy students and workers striding fast to their destinations. Suddenly, everything seems so lovely. Then i arrive at uni to take my morning classes. Different people are becoming friends.. each individual special in his own way; the way they do their hair, or the lipstick they have on.. even the way they do their hijab.. each one of them seem to be truly unique. I get out at 12 and take my buses again, happy to go have lunch with my mum and tell my brother about my day. Sometimes, the routine is changed slightly by buying a croissant in the morning to take it with my café au lait or reading a book in the bus.
When you're comfortable with who you are and who you're becoming, suddenly everyone seems busy with their own lives. I don't focus on the dark side anymore, i don't focus on the illusion of others mocking me. that version of me simply doesn't exist anymore. I'm now unapologetically my true authentic self.
On Friday I had my last exam, biology. Honestly, I was so pleased with it. The questions were alright, but the essay was phenomenal, and I’m so glad I finished on a high!
Well that’s it, A-levels are over. It’s a very strange sensation, but a wonderful one nonetheless.
Well done for everyone getting through exams. They were so difficult and I’m so proud of you all! ☺️💛🌷
Good morning! ☺️
I’m back in college today as the half term is over. These are the papers I’m hoping to get done:
2017 Physics Paper 2
2018 Physics Paper 2
2017 Biology Paper 1
2018 Biology Paper 1
2019 Biology Paper 1
I’ve finished 2017 Bio Paper 1 and got an A* so I’m very happy.
Being back inside school is definitely helping me stay focused, and I really like that I can go and talk to my teachers whenever I need (I’m going to make use of that later today!).
Have a good day! 🌞
If I’m honest, I’m really struggling to find motivation. I don’t know why, I’m just not doing well. I’ve been feeling so distant and tired (if anyone maybe has an idea why please say). Today, I’m going to try to change that.
The quote above is really useful when I need motivation, as it reminds me starting and making any progress is still getting me to my goals.
Here is a list of things I would like to get done:
A-level Physics Specimen Paper 2
A-level Physics 2017 Paper 2
A-level Physics 2018 Paper 2
A-level Biology 2017 Paper 1
A-level Biology 2018 Paper 1
Obviously, this is quite a lot, but as long as I get ~3 done I’ll be happy.
I’m going to go get some breakfast, and I’ll update later on how I’m getting on. Wish me luck!

Don’t lower your standards. Increase the effort.
Took me until about halfway through college before I realized “study” means “play with the material in a variety of ways until you understand it” and not just “read the assigned chapters and do the homework” and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.
So excited to share the first post!
Today:
-attended to online class
-made myself breakfast
-cleaned my room
-read the notes about an article that I prepared before
-wrote and upload the the last reaction paper of developmental psychology
-continued to Le Rêve by Émile Zola
-fought with hot weather
-visited my grandma
now it's time to sleep

It was a rainy day... I love days like this. I only had a 50 minute class but I stayed a little longer finishing my pending tasks... I returned home and now I'm moving forward, I hope to finish everything on time.
I have a little math test tomorrow, it will only be two questions.
I have to finish my lab reports.
I started university a few weeks ago, it was a great experience. I am adapting to this change. Next week the practical exams for all the courses begin. I feel terrified and at the same time I have a strange feeling.
28/100 days of productivity: I didn't have a lot of homework today. I studied maths outside with the news pens I bought yesterday.
25/100 days of productivity: Revising 2 years of computer science right now. There were things I've already forgotten.
22/100 days of productivity: Today was so stressful: I had 2 kholles. A kholle is a specific oral exam in french school system particularly in preparatory class. A kind of equivalent seems to be tutorial. I'm not totally sure about it though. Anyway, I was so exhausted after it that I came for a walk and come back an hour later for my last class of the day where I was not productive at all. Back home, I had an assignment which involved watching videos about fluid studies. That was funny. PS: I am totally left handed. I mean, I can't use my right hand like other left handed do. I always use my left hand to use a mouse which seems to be usual for a lot of people.
18/100 days of productivity: Fiches d'informatique parce que "spoiler y a de l'informatique aux concours" et maths.
17/100 days of productivity: Bake some cakes for my class today. Bought new black pens because this is the time again when all my pen are dying. Spent hours on my oral presentation's power point, made physics notes and exercices.
14/100 days of productivity: Worked all day long. I did 2 DM ( long and more difficult exercice than usual ) today. My boyfriend helped me for the second and we are quite a nice team together.
Lot of work today. I spend hours on my khôle notes looking for more informations in physics books. I even continued while cooking and finished after eating but I made a pause to come back at school in the afternoon.Though, it took me so long ! I also made my engineering sciences notes during the morning classes because why not. I saved time that way. And now, 11pm, I will only begin my physics homework. I become to be late in my work. I spent too much time helping others doing their own homeworks that I forgot mine. So, I will probably work late tonight.
Day 8: Learning my French lessons, using my new highlighters . It's cool sometime to do something else than science.
J-7: I bought new highlighters and highlight everything I could ! Scanning like 40 pages of book, it took so long ! And eventually learning a bit.
Maths study for tomorrow exam : it will only last 2hours when it’s usually 4hours. And I borrow books at school for my group project about automatisation. Oh and I guess I’m doing the 100 days of productivity even if I’m actually trying to be productive since a long time ago. But let it be the day 5 since when I started my studyblr.
I want you to know that tomato soup is so underrated ! And I hate working with 10 pages of words open on my computer

taking better notes during fast-paced lectures can be challenging, but here are some tips to help you keep up:
abbreviations and symbols: create a personal shorthand system. for example, use “w/” for “with,” “b/c” for “because,” and arrows (→) to show relationships. this can significantly speed up your note-taking.
focus on main ideas: listen for key points and concepts rather than trying to transcribe everything. lecturers often emphasize important information through repetition, changes in tone, or visual aids. pay attention to these cues.
structured methods:
cornell method: divide your page into three sections: a narrow left column for cues, a wider right column for notes, and a bottom section for a summary. during the lecture, jot down main points in the right column. after the lecture, add cues and a summary.
outline method: use headings and subheadings to organize information hierarchically. this helps in understanding the relationship between topics.
mind mapping: create a visual representation of the lecture content. start with a central idea and branch out with related concepts. this method is particularly useful for visual learners.
leave space: if you miss something, leave a gap and move on. you can fill in the details later, either from the textbook, recordings, or discussions with classmates.
record the lecture: if your lecturer allows it, recording can be a lifesaver. you can listen to the lecture again to fill in any gaps in your notes. just make sure to review the recording soon after the lecture while the material is still fresh in your mind.
review and revise: go over your notes as soon as possible after the lecture. this helps reinforce the material and allows you to clarify any points you didn’t fully understand. consider rewriting or typing up your notes to organize them better.
active listening: engage with the lecture by asking questions and participating in discussions. this not only helps you understand the material better but also makes it easier to remember.
use technology: apps like evernote, onenote, or notability can help you organize and search your notes efficiently. some apps even allow you to record audio and sync it with your notes.
do you have any specific challenges with note-taking? let me know in the comments.
