I think it is hilarious that when Dazai left his little villain perch in the mafia, he couldn’t quite shake the innate urge to be a menace and his only outlet is tormenting select coworkers at the ADA (Kunikida) to feed the evil little monster at the back of his mind that does a delighted little victory dance every time he manages to make Kunikida’s blood pressure rise and it is hilarious to me that he actually gets twitchy when he can’t get a rise out of Kunikida and starts foaming at the mouth bc he needs his evil fix for the day
There must be at least a few criminal groups and criminals terrified of kunikida after seeing him choke dazai, because to them that's the demon prodigy and this guy is calling him a dumbass to his face
oda’s descriptions of dazai in the dark era light novel are so devastating
“Dazai’s expression as he placed a finger on his forehead and approached the enemy—that of a child about to burst into tears—remained burned into my eyes.”
“‘He’s sharp-witted with a mind like a steel trap. And he’s just a child—a sobbing child abandoned in the darkness of a world far emptier than the one we’re seeing.’”
he just saw him as a child who yearned to be saved
Eddie keeps it a secret from hellfire incase dustin or Erika try to tap Steve for secrets but Steve actually helps eddie workshop new ideas and characters. And the thing is he gets really into it, he loves figuring out the right ‘voice’ for each character with Eddie, he has his favourite npcs that he always asks Eddie for updates on after each campaign. He takes it personally when the party accidentally kill one of his silly little guys. Eddie dreads telling him, the whole drive home he’s chewing on a hang nail trying to figure out if he can bring Steve’s brainchild back.
Steve doesn’t get misty eyed, he just gets shitty with all of the party and they have no idea why. No context as to why steve is suddenly making comments of ‘well maybe you should just kill me about it’ and pouting. Eventually he gets so wound up he lets slip about it all and it’s absolute chaos. The kids are losing their minds. Steve!!! Backseat playing dnd!!!!! They do not rest until he joins a proper game, going out of their way to kill any npcs they suspect are Steve’s and eventually he folds much to Eddie’s amusement
Some asshole insulted my Ukranian roommate then had the audacity to send a "apology" letter (or so he claimed) that even through my autistic brain was so rude and insensitive that it actually pissed me off. He claims that because what he said was "just facts" that he wasn't in the wrong and didn't need to apologize for what he said and sent an apple gift card as sympathy for the going on in Ukraine and with her friends and family there. No care whatsoever that what he said hurt her. He expressed no care for her feelings anywhere in this essay long letter, it was literally framed like he was telling the history of Ukraine for a school assignment for most of it, and to make it worse the last line reads "ps.dont strive for happiness, you will be disappointed every day." After this man man-splained the history of her own country to her.
"Facts don't care about feelings." Maybe, but people sure as hell should.
"There's too much of an obsession these days with knives and arrows. You could kill anyone just as easily with a well timed spell."

Sumeru made Genshin suddenly feel like a horror game. I found my first leopard AFTER hearing it, triggering a flight or fight response I didn't now I had. My first Ruin Drake encounter was also the first encounter with the withering zone.
But by far the scariest thing is the Fragment of Childhood Dreams domain. With its giant, overgrown pit full of cloudy water that I dropped into before finding out were to go. With the freaky ominous music in the background. My massive Thalassophobia is making itself very apparent.
I actually really like Tighnari's outfit. Not only do all the designs and colors please my neurodivergent brain but it also feels like he just found things that he liked and threw them all together. As someone that tends to do that very same thing it just makes me like him all the more for it.
OMG
I've been drawing Tighnari for the past hour. Bot only do I evidently have a problem, but I'm hoping it will grant me good luck in actually getting him.

Ango: “Why do you also have a crazy straw?”
Oda: “It makes drinking whiskey more enjoyable.”
It’s so funny that the three people who canonically find Dazai #relatable are Mori, Fyodor, and Verlaine.
What an insane lineup of horrible men. I think that alone would make me change my entire personality if I were him. First everyone finds him incredibly annoying and then those motherfuckers show up and are like “actually, no, Dazai’s great. He just gets me.” I’d be reconsidering all of my life decisions.
-Ranpo, probably
I waited 5 hours of maintinenece only to be told to wait through 5 hours more tf
Obi-Wan didn’t let Vader kill him on the Death Star to stall for time or anything, he just glanced over and saw Luke and Leia standing next to each other, thought about the pure unbridled chaos of having to deal with two (2) Skywalkers simultaneously, and said nah i’m too old for this shit let me be one with the Force now.
Im playing Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga when out of nowhere, after solving a puzzle, I come across this adorable little interaction.
BB-8: (grateful chirps)
Obi-wan: How delightful
Jake: What do you have to lose?
Marc: My patience.
Jake: You still have those? I'll have to try harder.
Steven: Let's get a birthday cake!
Marc: But our birthday isn't even this month?
Steven, whispering: The cake won't know that.
Marc:
Marc: Valid. Let's get two.
Marc: My body is a temple.
Marc: Ancient, crumbling, and either cursed or haunted but probably both.
I feel Jake is the kind of alter who only fronts for like 10 seconds if the system is doing something he doesn't like, changes it, and then fucks off again.
Marc Spector: Im going to smoke this cigarette because it helps me fit in with a crowd (he is actually just a dramatic sadboy)
Jake: Yeets it across the room, leaves front
Steven: FOUR MONTHS!
Marc: What is he talking about?
Jake: It's honestly not that big of a deal-
Steven: THAT'S HOW LONG YOU SAT THERE AND WATCHED ME WATER A FAKE PLANT!
Steven: Pigeon
Marc:
*Minutes later*
Steven: Dog
Marc: ??
*Minutes later*
Steven: Mouse
Marc: STEVEN WHY??
Steven: I like acknowledging their presence. Sometimes I wish people would do that to me. It makes me feel real
Marc:
---------- Next time Marc is fronting ------------
Marc, seeing Steven in a reflection: Steven
Steven: ?
Marc, seeing Steven in a puddle: Steven
Steven: Aw wait Marc are you- 🥺 thanks man
Marc:
Marc: :)
Steven: There's right, there is wrong. . . And then there is you.
Jake: So what am I?
Marc: Nothing short of an absolute catastrophe.
Layla: what are you playing?
Marc: I'm playing poker, Steven's playing go fish and I think Jake is just hungry
Jake: I can stop whenever I want.
Steven: Then stop.
Jake: I don't want.
Steven: do you ever feel bugs on you when there are no bugs?
Jake: those are the ghosts of all the bugs you have killed.
Steven:
Marc: look what you did, you scared him.
I NEED TO SCREAM ABOUT PAUL DANO'S RIDDLER
This is probably the first time we've seen a Riddler that's been taken seriously as a character.
Through the Arkhamverse games, for those who've played it, we all know the feeling of doing his challenges and storyline. It's tedious and obnoxious. Bonus for Arkham Knight making him look like Charlie Sheen going through a midlife crisis.
Gotham, I enjoyed, but they created him to be almost an alter ego/ split personality which I don't necessarily think is how the Riddler's brain works.
And Jim Carrey's Riddler is just... Jim Carrey being family friendly I guess. Regardless, entertaining.
Paul Dano though... he whipped out the perfect amount of obsessive psychopath and narcissism. As in, his energy really matched Heath Ledger's Joker; super chaotic and dark. Probably would have worked well in TDK.
That scene where he talks to Batman in prison was absolutely fantastic. He reminded me so much of Ed Kemper in his prison interviews. Right off the mark when we first see him unmasked, the obsession with Batman is in his eyes and never leaves. He craves that attention from him in such an unhealthy way, it's just incredible to watch and know that it's purely Dano's acting.
I'm so impressed. I really hope we get to see more of this Riddler from him in the future and I hope he gets some sort of award for this. An underrated actor overall.
Okay, but in The Batman, Gordon seems like the only cop that’s ever glad to see Batman there? Maybe Martinez too, but everybody else is very standoffish, suspicious, and just really don’t seem to like that there’s an adult man in a bat mask and a cape walking around doing their job better than they are.
Which leads me to believe that Gordon not only came up with the idea of the Bat Signal, but he suggested it and fought for it. Went to the head honchos with a 50 slide powerpoint presentation on why it was a good idea. Argued with his superiors that not only was the Batman a good presence, but that the GCPD needed a way to get in contact with him and summon him to crime scenes.
Imagine he lights it up for the first time to test it out (without telling Bats), and Bruce sees it and immediately hauls ass to track down where the source of it is. He arrives there as Batman, and Gordon is standing there with a stopwatch and four other cops. And Gordon is just like “BOOM! I told you it would work! Eat shit! And in 7 minutes flat! Pay up!”
Varian: if I had a nickel for every time a blond with green eyes betrayed me to their authority figure who had a history with one of my parents, I’d have two nickels
Varian: ...which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?
