Friendly reminder that Alastor is aroace. I personally think you can ship him however much you want, I can’t control that, but it’s disappointing that a majority of the fandom choose to romanticise and hyper sexualise him. It makes it so that he’s only portrayed as aro/ace in a minority of the fandom. A lack of sexual or romantic attraction isn’t boring, it’s not uninteresting. I want it to be normalised. Yes you can ship him but respect his canon sexual orientation, as much as you’d respect any other part of the community 💜

there’s really good representation for this in the WEBTOON Friend With Benefits. (I know how the title sounds, trust me, it’s not like that.) the main character is sex repulsed but they aren’t always made to feel broken, damaged, or wrong because of this. And her partner even adapts to his needs.

Gonna piss off half of tumblr with just one take because its gotten to the point now that its personal;

Being a sex repulsed ace is okay and you are not "wrong" or "broken" because of your fears and discomforts

I just got caught up on Castle Swimmer and HOLY SHIT THE REUNION WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!!

I cannot wait for next season! Now that the two found families have collided we get MEGA FOUND FISH FAMILY!!!

Also I was so pleasantly surprised with the ace/aro rep this season! I already found the hints of backstory interesting but that coupled with the emotional breakdown and fan theory fuel in the last few chapters just made me connect with Neths character so much more. Really well done Wendy👏👏👏

I know that's not all of the canon ace characters out there, but as someone who doesn't.t interact with any inherently queer media (it's all romance based. Gross and boring, coming from an aromantic person.), that's all I can come up with.
