El otro dia, por mero aburrimiento, me puse a buscar headcanons LGBT+ de Harry Potter, si lo se, soy aburrida, pero me encotre uno muy curioso, donde albus es una persona trans, la mayoría donde es un hombre, pero uno me pareció curioso, donde el autor ruega para que sea Canon, solo para que al tenga un cambio de nombre, y ya que scorpius canónicamente gusta solo de las chicas...porque no?, también que se basa en varios headcanons que vi de trans albus , y que se la opinión de la escritora, pero lo divertido de los fandoms es, reimaginar

Ahora, la mayoría de personas trans, se dan cuenta desde que son niños pequeños, e conocido a muchos que se dan cuenta desde los 3 años, a si que supongo que esto coincidiría con el nacimiento de lily, talvez teniendo ciertos celos de su hermanita

Francamente, creo que james haría uno que otro...comentario despectivo , hacia las mujeres, que creo seria detenido por sus padres, pero no quita que haya afectado a arya, y no saldría del clóset hasta poco antes de irse a Hogwarts , más porque sería un gran cambio en su vida...y porque su carta usa pronombres femeninos, no podría esconderlo mucho tiempo

Luego están los nombres, arya parece un nombre bueno, es bonito, corto, y significa honorable, y si hablamos del segundo nombre, parece aver una tendencia en los libros por, nombrar a los hijos por los padres, como Harry James Potter, no sería raro que le pusieran el nombre de su madre, a si como el de Harry con su padre

Claro, no todo es miel sobre hojuelas, llega la maldita prensa, creando rumores bastante...problemáticos con la familia, haciendo que Harry y ginny se pongan más protectores con sus hijos

Llega hogwarts, ron y james la quieren en Gryffindor, y Rose la quiere en ravenclaw para poder compartir cuarto , y harry solo quiere que sea feliz

...pero queda en slytherin, una casa no tan abierta ,y donde probablemente hay familiares de mortifagos,pero, es la hija de Harry Potter, saben que no pueden entretenerse directamente , pero eso no evita que se creen rumores

Eventualmente hace un amigo fuera de su casa, scorpius malfoy, creo que le quedaba mejor allí, al final del día, al ser hijo de quien es, le a traído también mala fama, y no se lo desea a nadie

Rose no está muy contenta, apenas tiene a su nueva hermana, y un rubio creído se la roba, además de que ella y james serían muy protectores con ella,James trataría de no pre juzgar...pero es imposible hacerlo, cuando un hurón le hace ojitos a tu hermana

Llega el destino peor que la muerte, algo horrible y espantoso...la pubertad, descubrí headcanon donde los magos en ves de hormonas, usarían pociones, si ella las usa, lo dejo al criterio de cada quien

Lo que si, siempre me gusto pensar que independientemente del género , arya se parecería más a lily que a Harry, (se que el canon dice otra cosa, pero estamos imaginando), talvez no en color de piel o pelo, pero si en facciones y ojos

Y quedaría a si, con lily siendo 100% weasley, james pareciéndose más a james que al propio harry, talvez con la piel más clara, pero igual de ciegos, y con arya pareciéndose más a Harry...pero muchi más a su abuela

Llega el tan deseado scorbus, scorpius y arya empiezan a sentirse raros por el otro, y descubre, que se gustan, cosa que en los malfoy, alegro a su madre y abuela,a draco solo le duele la cabeza por pensar en ser pariente de Potter, y a lucius nadie lo escucha

en los weasley...talvez solo a victorie y ginny,la primera es una shipeadora compulsiva , y la otra, sabe lo horrible que puede ser a veces la sobreprotección familiar

No es fácil, salir juntos ,los rumores siempre llegan, pero lo superan como la gran relación que son ( y debieron ser independientes del género en el Canon)

Harry Potter y el queerbating

Hoy hablaremos de si la representante lgbt+, en Harry Potter es buena

Primero, hay que entender que no es lo mismo escribir en el siglo pasado que en este, según en que época escribas vas a tener la libertad de hablar de otros temas, de cierta forma ,o no podrás tocar los temas que quieres , a si que no se sorprendan que sea más fácil para rick, poner personajes lgbt

No es lo mismo poner un personaje gay hoy a el siglo pasado, es por eso que la falta representación en los libros de harry Potter no es de extrañar, es cierto que hay personas que pueden estar codificadas , pero de eso hablaremos después, por el momento hablaremos de un tema conocido como queerbating

En resumidas cuentas, el queerbating es dar una representación de la comunicación lgbt+, pero sin dar mucho trasfondo a estos personajes, o esconderlo de cierta forma , esto se puede dra de diversas maneras, poner un personaje lgbt+ de fondo como patoaventuras, dar un contexto romántico a 2 personas del mismo género, pero al final no llega a nada, como en the owl house y su doblaje (después se hablará de estos temas)

Pero el que nos importa en este momento es donde, un personaje se confirma como LGBT+, pero jamás se profundizó en esto, pero si en otras parejas heterosexuales, este es el caso que hablaremos hoy, el de dumbledore

En la serie original jamás se dijo que era gay, lo cual ya dije, es hasta cierto punto entendible por la época, pero no quita que jk pudo explorarlo en cualquier momento previo, para ser más específicos , en las películas de animales fantásticos

Donde solo dan un poco de contexto romántico, más al final no se llega a nada, nunca vemos su relación más que de un modo ambiguo , al punto en que e conocido personas que creían eran solo amigos

Nunca se le da la importancia que tenían otras relaciones románticas en la historia, aun si no llegaban a nada, como newt y leta , o cho y Harry,que no llegaron a nada , y aún a si recibieron más atención

Además de seguir el tropo lgbt+ de que a fuerzas tiene que sufrir, con dumbledore nunca superando del todo a gellert , en ves de mostrar como dumbledore sale de una relación toxica, se vuelve a enamorar y a creer en la gente ,y aunque en Harry Potter no tuviera pareja, sabríamos que no todo fue tragedia en su vida amorosa, que hubo esperanza para el

Porque si, dumbledore y gellert eran tóxicos el uno con el otro, eran manipuladores el uno con el otro, no les importaba que sus vidas fueran en rumbos súper diferentes, ellos seguían amandose, lo cual si bien a primera vista es lindo, no quita que es en realidad una idea tóxica del amor, además de que esto solo suma a la idea de que fue forzada

En ellos se vio más una rivalidad, y hasta un odio mutó, que amor verdadero, no fue más que una táctica barata de marketing, solo para atraer más lectores , en ves de crear nuevos personajes con diferentes preferencias sexuales, todo se quedó en un parde ecenas, un tuit y una idea súper tóxica del amor

Lo que me lleva a hablar de otra clase de queerbating, que jk no desconoce ,como dije antes,también esta dar contexto romántico,solo para que termine en nada, el primero sería la relación de sirius y remus

Su relación era totalmente opuesta a la de gellert y albus,en primera no trataban de matarse a cada rato, eran buenos el uno con el otro, y sus vidas iban más o menos en la misma dirección

Y ustedes dirán "que 2 hombres no pueden ser amigos? ", y tienen razón, 2 hombres pueden ser amigos, pero hubiera tenido más sentido de albus y gellert fueran solo amigos, mientras daba vuelta a un estereotipo homofóbico con remus y sirius

El estereotipo en cuestión es que toda la gente homosexual o bisexual gustara de sus amigos, esto a llevado a que mucha gente hetero se aleje de estas personas, por pensar que a fuerza les van a gustar, ignorando que estas personas son humanos, y que quieren tener amigos , no solo una pareja

Y esto se hubiera visto con James Potter, sirius amaba a James cono su hermano, su vida se vino abajo cuando el murió,no solo porque lo quería mucho ,si no porque sabe que hasta cierto punto tuvo la culpa , fue el quien propuso a peter , a si que me imagino a el sintiendo culpa por todo,por no confíar en remus, por no segui el plan de james y lily, por confiar en peter , y condenar a Harry a ser huérfano

Estaba claro que sirius amaba a james como su hermano, pudo romper muchos estereotipos que sirius fuera gay, estuviera en una relación romance con remus, y aún a si tuviera relaciones no románticas con otros hombres, como con Harry y su relación padre hijo, y como ya dije mil y un veces,con james y su relación de mejores amigos

De remus solo queda decir que, si, nynphadora era muy joven, era una mujer súper joven, con ganas de divertirse , cumplir metas y provarse a si misma, remus era un hombre cuyo mayor sueño era solo asentarse, un sueño curiosamente muy parecido al de sirius,donde su sueño era asentarse,ser libre y cuidar a Harry

Esto nos lleva a la siguiente pareja , albus Potter y scorpius malfoy, empezaré diciendo que el enamoramiento de scorpius con rose, y albus con delphiny son...entendibles ?

Estos enamoramiento son parecidos a los de Harry con cho, en el caos de scorpius y rose, donde por las hormonas ,la admiración se confunde con amor, realmente no conviven mucho que digamos, se siente más como un crush pasajero

Luego esta albus con delfín, que vendría siendo la misma ruta,ella se presenta como esta chica cool y genial, albus obviamente se sentía atraído, pero por razones pareciadas a las que no me gusta el ship de dumbledore y gellert, dire que obviamente no puede ser

Entonces dirán, si sus enamoramientos con chicas son lógicos, porque demonios estarían juntos ?, porque en primera instancia tiene más lógica, tienen metas que no necesariamente van en contra de las del otro, tiene problemas similares, y más química romántica que la de gellert y dumbledore, y ellos si son canon

Además de que la gente bisexual existe, mucho se usa el argumento de que porque x personaje ,tenía cierta quimica romántica con y personaje , del género opuesto, no puede estar con z personaje

El ejemplo claro de esto, ya saliendo un poco de Harry Potter, serían finn,la dulce princesa y marceline , ignorando que finn es menor de edad en casi toda la serie,por ejemplo

Albus y scorpius tenían todo para ser una verdadera representación, tenían edades similares, tenían la convivencia y la química, cosas en común, metas que no necesariamente afectaban al otro, hasta problemas similares tenían, pudieron recordarle al mundo que la gente bi existe, pero no , todo se quedó en un forzado no homo

HPCC Hamburg

The following are some of the little things the actors incorporated that really stuck with me:

Albus was very teenagey, like the perfect depiction of this awkward teen phase of struggling with your own emotions about yourself, about your parents, about school. Just feeling such big emotions but not knowing how to properly process or constructively communicate them. Very relatable!

I personally also always liked how Harry is portrayed in hpcc because I really get losing some of your youthful sparks of rebellion and adventure, when you become an adult, need to follow all these rules. It isn't always easy to keep that spark inside you alive when (corporate) life, all these responsibilites etc. restrict you. Harry also (imo) still is a very traumatized man and hasn't processed and/or healed the plethora of trauma he has experienced.

The German Harry actor did a great job. I completely understood where he was coming from and that his actions were justified in his mind, even if I disagree. He perfectly "balanced" harsh, overbearing father but also just being a traumatised child himself.

Act 1 Scorbus was the depiction of a true and beautiful and close friendship with starting hints of "more" through lingering touches and soft gazes. E.g. the library scene where Albus hugs Scorpius after they say the "Friends?" "Always" line. (Fun fact: that line translates to "Friends?" "Always" but can also mean "for forever" in german, which adds a layer of emotion to it.) Cedric (German actor playing) Albus was always very soft with Scorpius in a physical touch way. Very small touches or soft gazes that were so meaningful and held so much emotion!

A fun mishap that also happened: at the start of the moaning myrtle scene where albus usually hexes the soap bigger. Today the soap was nowhere to be found. And albus asked scorpius for the soap two times while scorpius answered no soap two times. So albus dropped his wand, the albus actor stood there for like 2 seconds contemplating which lines to drop and where to start again with the dialogue. ;) live theater I don't think someone who has never seen the play would have noticed.

Act 2 Scorbus scenes had a lot more emotional weight to it but in a good sense. You could definitely tell their friendship now had a much deeper emotion behind it and that their relationship needed to change and grow with them and their own personal growth. It felt like a very natural evolution of realizing your deeper feelings. The actors beautifully toed the line of true, deep friendship that is on the cusp of developing into something more in a very slow and meaningful way! I love that what they have is so pure and sweet that it doesn't really need a label because they both know they love each other but are also just figuring themselves out and who they are, let alone, what they are to each other. (I swear to God puberty and growing up is already hard enough as a muggle. ;) )

Act 2 details: in the owlery where scorpius tells albus that he fought for him and albus answers "Oh? Good!". You could tell that albus knew what that implies and the way he responded "good" was like elated and relieved that scorpius has the same feelings towards him, almost like glad that his feelings are reciprocated. In the church in godrics hollow albus sits down on the bench next to scorpius while explaining sth about the plot but the coy gaze when he sat down next to him was so meaningful and held so much emotion! I also just wanna add of all the hpcc boots I have watched I feel like the Hamburg one, where I was today, was the one that was the most obvious about the blooming romantic connection between them! It's subtext in all the other ones too but the body language and gazes between them in Act 2 today?! It feels wrong even calling it subtext. It was so painfully clear!

The palace of harmony scene: on the stairs albus and scorpius were so physically close with each other that really exceeds platonic closeness. To me it seemed like Albus was very clear about his feelings and that he knows that he likes him in a romantic way. Like trying small steps to test out the waters to see how scorpius would respond. Like when asking if it's really rose he wants in his palace albus gazes into scorpius eyes, hand on shoulder, faces like 10 cm apart from each other, knowing how he feels but also knowing how scorpius feels about him. It was a really beautiful thing to see. Albus so secure in himself and the way he perceives their relationship and its developing nature. Very cathartic, as the entire play he is always confused how to behave with his father, at school, fixing the time lines, he is never in a comfortable headspace, it's always in chaos. But the play ends with such clarity and security and safety of this bond he has with Scorpius!!!!! At the bottom of the stairs when scorpius hugs albus the albus actor played and said the line like "why are YOU hugging me?" as in usually it's him hugging scorpius and he wants to hear scorpius say what has changed in their dynamic. The see you at dinner line was very flirty while still being very innocent. In this version of the play physical touch and soft, meaningful gazes really is their love language!

The ending dialogue between harry and albus is so healing and cathartic, resolving what was at the core of the entire play their struggling father-son-relationship. They both are so vulnerable with each other, talking about their deepest emotions and opening themselves up. I love how the lines about his relationship with scorpius read like a coming out talk, while it never explicitely is stated.

I think I got the most important parts and want to really recommend the play to everyone! Watch it for the superb emotional storytelling!!!

Harry Potter and the cursed child Hamburg

Just saw the play in Hamburg for the first time. It is such a beautiful piece on growing up and emotionally dealing with the process of humanising your parents, trauma and how it affects the following generations. It is such a timeless play, no matter where you live you can relate. We all know what it's like to feel like the odd one out, like we don't belong and how difficult growing up and everything it entails is.

Frankly, the superb magic tricks and the beautiful wizarding dances are only the cherry on top. The true heart of the story is the emotional arch of every character! It is so powerful.

I thought the relationship between Albus and Scorpius was portrayed really beautifully. Simple gazes and touches, that the actors incorporated in such an impactful and tasteful way, perfectly portrayed the blooming romantic feelings that are growing within them. It was very obvious that that is the direction their relationship is already developing into.

I loved it and can't wait to see it again!

what are the different theories behind what Ron meant with the gifting of the love potion to albus. I'd be really interested to read how it's been interpreted/understood. Feel free to comment your interpretation :)

Scorbus headcannons again because YOU ALL LOVE IT AND I SAID YES 😋 (Modern-setting ish)

Albus' and Scorpius' amortentia DEFINITELY smelled like sweets. Yes, both of them smell sweets in their amortentia. Don't argue. (Duh the time where Albus stayed for Scorpius' sweets. 😋🫶)

Once Scorpius thought his amortentia smell was out of friendship, but sometime later he realized that he had never shared his sweets with anyone else except for Albus ☹️

Let's be so real here, Albus and Scorpius are SO BAD at giving dating/relationship advice.

LIKE- These two never had any exes, situationships, or anything like that. They just WENT STRAIGHT (pun? I guess) to crushing on eachother AND THINGS WORKED OUT FOR THEM 😭😭😭🙏

Like literally- their relationship would be one of the healthiest relationship ever- like I genuinely BELIEVE that they couldn't even fight for MORE than 10 minutes without flopping back to eachother ☹️🫶

(At some point) they probably think that if someone likes their friend, their friend WILL like them back because they are so in love and so lucky and so in love 😭😭😭🙏

Someone: "So, now that you two are together, what is your go-to dating advice?"

Albus, all confused: "...Well, I just stuck him for like 5 years and keep being secretly in love with him until he likes me back."

Scorpius: "Well yeah that's what I did! All we did was hang out together, hold hands, cuddle, share a bed, and then one day we just confessed! :D"

Scorpius, also confused: "...What do you mean you don't just follow your bestfriend around for years until he likes you back??"

Albus: "Yeah..I mean you just choose them over and over again they'll like you back, right??"

Albus get TONS OF OWLS and LETTERS (From Scorpius ofc) every HOLIDAY. Like, genuinely.

He has letters upon letters PILING in his room (from Scorpius ofc) ☹️☹️☹️ even Harry himself probably confronted him on the amount of letters Albus received

LIKE SERIOUSLY, Harry seeing the piles of letters ONLY FOR ALBUS probably reminded him of that time in the Dursleys with the Hogwarts letters ☹️☹️☹️🫶

And of course, Like any other lovesick teenager, Albus spends ALL HIS DAY on his room writing to Scoprius while almost always late for lunch and dinner ☹️🫶

Yes, he'll REPLY TO EVERY LETTER even as stupid as "Albus I found this cat!" with attachment of the photo of the orange cat

I feel like Draco DEFINITELY had nobody he was writing letters to so he KNEW that tye letters were for Scorpius ☹️

Scorpius and Albus visiting Astoria's grave one day, one person with a flower bouquet each, with Scorpius murmuring, "Mum, I found someone who stayed for my sweets." And Albus cried right then and there ☹️

Perhaps there are days when Scorpius just misses his mother and Albus lends him his shoulder to cry on ☹️
