When I was little I used to be afraid of those big Mickey mouses and they'd come up to you and give you a hug. To me he was scarier than the monster under the bed (spoiler alert: there was no monster under the bed, just my brother playing random creepy sounds so that I'd get scared. It worked for like a week)
