Some AU where Shanks raises Luffy and Mihawk gets involved if only to see that Luffy makes it into adulthood in relatively good health, because he's apathetic but doesn't approve of infanticide, and then years later when Luffy goes off by himself it circles back around to the duel at the Baratie, (Mihawk got sent over to round Luffy up for a family dinner) except instead of agreeing to Zoro's challenge, Mihawk pulls out the bluetooth and asks Shanks exactly when Luffy was allowed to start dating? And that no, it's Shanks that Luffy takes after. Yeah. Some brooding boy who's a swordsman. Yeah. He's got green hair and three swords. And I'd approve if this wasn't making me feel weird. Oh, fuck yourself, Red.

The best thing about Zoro and Luffy to me is they exist right beside each other. They could go their whole life without labelling their relationship. Their just a pair that should never be separated. The type to end up living if they're single, if the concept of those married benefit things they'd get married type deal.

hc that Sanji will yell and kick at the crew all day but when you know he's really snapped is if he starts using the customer service voice. Zoro does the dishes that night without being asked.

I think if Sanji was trans fem and she finally accepted herself in her two years in Momoiro, she would be very nervous to meet the crew again in Sabaody. She looks... different, but she's happier. She knows deep down that her friends would be fine with the changes, but worry eats at her anyway. She's scared. Scared of rejection, scared of losing her family. She doesn't want to choose between them and being herself. It's not fair.

While the most vile, negative thoughts are going through her head, she runs into Brook before his final concert. The moment she sees Brook, the skeleton goes "Yohohoho~ What a lovely lady we have here. Can I see your panties, Sanji-san?"

And Sanji doesn't know if she wants to kick him or start crying, because that was somehow one of the most gender affirming moments she's ever had.

This involves a lot of rearranging of cannon events. But basically Shanks realizes that Luffy is living alone and promises him the next time he comes to Dawn island he’ll take Luffy with him. Crap finds out and take Luffy to Dadan, where he meets Ace and Sabo. Shanks returns just in time to stop the Bluejam pirates from separating the ASL brothers. He spends some time getting to know the other two boys and decides to take them with him.
