[Here is part 1 and part 2 of this idea. Please read both of these before continuing on.]

He didn't even register this fist slamming into Starscream's face until he hear the jet's back slam into the wall behind him. As the sound reverberated in Megatron's audials, he could only stare in horror as he watched Starscream pick himself back up and bring a hand to his face, energon coating his digits. Megatron took a step forward, his anger quickly fading away into horror as he realized what he'd just done. He reached out, an apology on his lips. "Starscream, I.." Starscream only turned away, his expression was morphed into one that the ex-warlord had been unable to properly decipher in the moment. Starscream just let out a heavy vent and returned to laying on the berth in the brig, quietly speaking one last time. "It's just as I thought... you'll never change... just leave me alone. Let me rust away in peace." Megatron felt himself at a loss for words, all he could bring himself to do was comply with Starscream's demands and leave him in the brig. The words uttered by his former second in command, digging their way into his spark. As Megatron left the brig and made his way to the main deck of the ship, he was left coming to terms with all the events that had just transpired. His gaze rested upon his fist, his tanks churning when he saw the faint traces of Starscream's energon on his knuckles. One thing that didn't add up to Megatron had been Starscream's expression. The jet's expression was not one of smug pride that he got under Megatron's plating again, it wasn't one that was happy to be right about his former leader's attempts to atone... no. Starscream's expression had been one of disappointment and slight bitterness. Megatron continued to walk, thinking about the entire interaction that would have brought reason for Starscream making such an expression. He stopped in his tracks when he finally realized it. 'Bots like us don't change... anyone that says so is fooling themself.' Starscream wanted to be wrong, wanted what he said to not be true. He wanted Megatron to be a changed bot, because if he was then it meant Starscream's belief in being unable to change was false. If Megatron was capable of changing, capable of not lashing out at Starscream's responses, then he would have proven Starscream wrong... and that in turn would have led Starscream to believe there was hope for him to be capable of changing too. To be more than Starscream the duplicitous backstabber. But Megatron reacted with violence towards Starscream again, and to Starscream that was enough to believe that there was no hope for either of them. Megatron never felt more defeated.

When Megatron enters Starscream's cell, he only briefly gets the other's attention before a bitter laugh escapes the jet. "Well if this isn't a familiar scenario..." Megatron doesn't find the humor in it. "You've holed yourself away again, Starscream." Starscream could only weakly scoff in turn, his once pristine frame creaked with rust as he moved. "And I suppose you're here to beat me within an inch of my life again... to tell me what a miserable failure I am as a leader. So cut whatever righteous speech you have planned and let's just get it over with." Megatron was taken aback, so Starscream still expected to be beaten. He didn't think the former Decepticon leader was capable of being good, of being redeemed. Something about this fact made Megatron's tanks churn as he continued to talk, his voice soft and gentle as he spoke to Starscream. "Do you really believe I am still the same person I was before?" There was just something about this scenario that made Megatron crave Starscream acknowledging his change. Megatron couldn't quite pin down why it felt so important to him that Starscream would see he was no longer the tyrant of their past. He wanted Starscream to look upon him and see that change. But Starscream never looked over at him like that, and instead he let out a mocking laugh. It didn't sound like most of Starscream's usual laughs though, this one sounded strained as he shook his head and covered his face as he finally turned to face the man behind all of his abuse and pain. His lips were twisted into a mix between a snarl and a grin, his sharp denta glinted slightly in the low-light of the brig's holding cell. "Oh save it Lord Megatron. I know that deep down, you don't believe you're worthy enough for that badge on your chest. Bots like us don't change... anyone that says so is fooling themself." A sharp digit pointing towards the red Autobot badge on Megatron's chest. He was angry to relent that Starscream was right, despite everything he'd done aboard the Lost Light, Megatron still didn't believe himself worthy of wearing the badge. He felt old rage begin to bubble back up to the surface, Starscream had that influence on people. He always seemed capable of reading a bot and being able to pick at a scab that never seemed to heal right. No matter how much time had passed, Starscream always seemed to know what ate away at Megatron's spark. He never seemed to shut up once he found it either. But he wouldn't let Starscream get under his plating, not this time. Not even when every fibre of Megatron's being wanted to punch the other in the mouth. He was better than that now, he would prove that to Starscream once and for all. And ever observant, Starscream pointed out the larger bot's tension and gestured to Megatron's entire being. "You forget, we fought together for millions of years. Even now I can tell the minute details of your body language, I can see you wish to punch me. To beat me and have me screaming for mercy, well no more. I'm tired, so either get your catharsis in, or let the rust eat away at me. I. Don't. Care." Megatron continued to tell himself, that Starscream couldn't get under his plating anymore. He wasn't the same bot that Starscream knew from before. He was better now.

"Even that lousy Bee knew I was a lost cause... not even he was as delusional." Everything seemed to stop for Megatron there, it was one thing for Starscream to badmouth him; it wasn't anything that the ex-warlord hadn't heard before. But now Starscream was mocking the memory of the kind autobot that Megatron was proud to call his friend, the bot primarily responsible for Megatron seeing the faults in his actions! That was taking it too far. [Tumblr is not happy about the size of this idea, lemme split it up again.] [Part 3]

I gotta get this outta my brain.

I keep imagining what could have been if like IDW Starscream, ruler of Cybertron, lost his leadership position earlier on and his sentencing was to join Megatron on the Lost Light. The idea from the new leadership on Cybertron is that Megatron would get rid of Starscream and so they could just kill two birds with one stone. Starscream lingers mostly to the more isolated parts of the ship, barely interacting with anyone, but somehow always being dragged to the brig for something going wrong on the ship. It gets to the point where Starscream doesn't even come out of the brig holding cells when it's offered to him, he just wants them to leave him there to rust. Of course that information is quick to make it back to Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, and Megatron. They're a mix of trying to figure out what to do in this situation. Rodimus I could see him either being a-ok with Starscream staying there or he could believe they need to work at Starscream since Megatron was just as bad as Starscream and he turned out okay, Ultra Magnus is more on the 'leave him there' side given Starscream's criminal record, but Megatron is mixed about what to do. Megatron doesn't enjoy Starscream being on the ship, being in the space that he managed to make for himself and finally begin to work on himself. But he also knows that he himself wasn't good to Starscream and feels a sense of deja-vu hit him when he hears from Ravage that Starscream is self-isolating and wasting away. Similar to all those years ago when Starscream led the Decepticons for 3 years only for the crew to resort to cannibalism. It's a chance for Megatron to do the same situation, but differently. To show Starscream that the ex-warlord has changed. So Megatron goes to the brig and decides to speak with Starscream alone. [Sorry but this idea became too big for a single post, I'll link the second part which is the little snippet I wrote for this.]

It would be so funny if unicron was kind of chill (I think that there is lore why he has to be evil if I remember but let's forget about cannon). And in terms of how that would affect Megatron and Starscream.

Unicron: It is I the ruler of the Quintes -it's obviously me Unicron you just snorted my blood you unfunny mech. Seriously if you're going to be evil you need some intelligence at the very least.

And with Starscream (cause of the times he gets haunted by him).

Imagine Starscream learning about human behaviour and mostly the internet.

And not on the 'aww he secretly still has a heart of gold' (honestly hate that). I mean in a way he only did it cause he was bored and only had human internet available.

And also for new insults he can use on Megatron without being understood so he can get away with it (he still gets abused cause Meg knew what he said was an insult) and cause when he says Cybertronian insults to humans they don't understand. He's just stepping up his roast battle game.

And soon others join in because they can't let Starscream have all the fun. And then Autobots (I know they hang out with humans but I think that they didn't dig into the 'mean' stuff) join in cause the battlefield was starting to be dominated by the decepticons due to the enormous metal damage.

And that's how all Cybertronians started to use human insults. Yeah I headcanon this now

Au idea

Humanformers but only Starscream is the human bear with me real quick.

So the war is still going on earth but Starscream has apparently died but he simply is now in the form of a human cause he can control organic beings as seen before in some random thing where he took control of a school girl I think.

But a baby, he is being developed as of now in a woman's stomach and when he is born he is growing up as any child. He has no memories. But he's weird like physiologically he isn't human yet he can mask this and has through his whole life.

He's a genius yet hasn't done much on it except to find out what separates him from other humans. Also his family situation would not be that great which would tie in later scenes.

His first interaction with the Cybertronians happens when he is 15-17 and with Megatron's fascination with Starscream he finds himself intrigued by this human without knowing why.

And due to guilt of Starscream dying Megatron still has his body (idk) and when human star goes near it he merges mentally with his old body therefore reviving him. But it leads to a redemption arc.

I'm going to cut off cause I'm rambling so I don't forget this idea but one day I'll definitely go to this

I hate the Starscream haters who say that we like him due to "Oh you all make him all innocent, and a baby, but he's insane and terrible but you don't see that. He's not a victim he hurts people" (Basing this off literal interpretations of him from people who hate or hold no liking for him that I've seen)

Like stfu in my head I'm making him so insane and insecure and yes there is innocence but that's now erased so fuck off from my 'will kill for being forced to do a small task that annoys him' son.

Also there's a reason why everyone who actually has a brain cell says that he's a victim is because he is one.

Like there's no way you look at him and his fans who some have been victims to different types of abuse seeing themselves in him, AND THINK THAT HE'S NOT A VICTIM.

And people who don't hate him but have no love for him, but like literally everyone else, give the most shitty interpretations. Like maybe the reason why that is. Is because you probably have only actually looked at him in fans making him like that for comfort and not even trying to make it close to cannon.

And I ain't saying that oh you don't like Starscream, you then don't actually know him. But it's those who will have affection for every character no matter what simply having none for starscream or having shitty views on his character that's seems like it's from a wattpad story.

If you don't like him but understand his character then okay that's perfectly fine, I might not like your character but I'd make sure to understand them properly before actually arguing with the person on why they are wrong. And you shouldn't even be doing that in the first place just let people enjoy themselves.

I'm actually tweaking from other things but I can't break anything so I wrote this in 7 minutes lol

My 4th wall Starscream but he can now travel dimensions.

He's blasting every Megatron with a rocket launcher as that universes Starscream is getting beat up.

Whilst wearing shades of course.

He'd just be like "You're very welcome, now do you need therapy or would that just make it worse" but just pops out of existence straight away.

But if it was SG it would be hilarious like -

My Starscream popping out of a portal, rocket launcher at hand "Fear not weaker and more pathetic me I sha... WAIT WHAT THE FRAG IS THIS!!!!!?????"

And then you have Megatron just grilling Starscream to take a break and have some energon (concerned father moment).

"FRAG NOW I'M JEALOUS! I DON'T GET PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS! FRAG YOU!!"

Pops out of existence whilst Megatron and Starscream are frozen.

But he pops back in a few seconds after, head poking out shouting "I hope you have a happy life as well bye!"

Gaslighting my sister to believe transformers are real

Me:" Yeah transformers are so cool it's sad we have to wait 100 years for them to come"

My sister: "Their real?"

"Yeah obviously"

And with utter horror etched on her face she goes "But then they will destroy houses"

"No that's only in movies and shows."

"Okay, so does that mean Starscream is real" and also goes "I hope Megatron isn't real(damn)"

And I was like "oh they're probably not real it's just gonna be some robots that we don't know"

"Well I hope Starscream is real"

"I do too cause I wanna jus--"

"High five him"

"Yeahhhhh lot's of high fives"

I swear if Skybound make it clear that Megatron is a victim and uses it to excuse his actions and they do that for the rest of the characters

They're probably not going to do it for Starscream knowing Hasbro they'd stop anything like that from happening

Which pisses me off cause yeah Starscream is also an abuser but that's due to abuse. Megatron is literally like that but his abuse to Starscream is generational and he still gets redeemed.

Like make it make sense Hasbro.

Optimus is like a cool and amazing uncle in Armada.

I feel like he's formed that parental figure to his team even though they are almost all the same age they still look up to him.

And then you have Starscream with his abusive dad being the only thing he's ever known. He may have stared a bit to long whenever Optimus would show affection or simple respect and care to his team cause those concepts are out of reach for him. So when he finally goes to the autobots.

He can't fit in. But Optimus isn't beating him up to the brink of death or blaming him for something out of his control or that he isn't doing things right.

And at this point Starscream realises he was taken in by the wrong brother.

And I feel like this is a good point on why Starscream cared so much about Optimus when he joined the decepticons again. Cause he finally got a taste of a true father and he does cherish it.

And on Optimus' side he saw how his brother treated Starscream but not all of it or the fact that Starscream had never had anyone else or how young he is or was. So when he joined he started to realise these things but instead of pressuring it all out of him to talk he simply became what Starscream lacked his whole life knowing that the former wouldn't work on Starscream. He thinks action speak louder than words yet words are still needed. Starscream also has that ideology but instead in the way of longing for it. Along the way he does see Starscream as a son.

But things don't last forever, it didn't even last long enough to start.

Me explaining Armada Starscream and Megatron being the biggest version of how they are like a father and son but obviously abusive.

My Dad: They should get married.

Me: Did you not hear what I said. First of all I was saying how Megatron is like an abusive adoptive father. And it's really abusive. What?

Dad: Yeah they should get married and kiss.

Me in utter horror trying to change the subject away: So you know Soundwave he's my second favouri---

Dad: He's their son whose spoilt.

And I'm currently choking on air and I tried changing the subject again: You know Starscream has heels

Dad: No he doesn't

And then I show him and he goes: So he is definitely the wife. -or SMT

So yeah my dad ships megastar or megstar idk and somewhere in the relationship he did agree with it being toxic but ig he likes it. But he also calls them both chickens.

I don't agree with this the only time I interact with the ship is if Starscream looks really nice in the drawing which is unfortunately a lot cause ppl draw too good to not like

I feel like Starscream should be given a 4th wall breaking ability

Like the moments are similar to how Deadpool does it like imagine a scenario that goes:

Megatron and Starscream arguing.

Starscream staring directly at us as the scene pauses: I interrupt this scene to give a warning for the viewers. I believe it's around the time I get my ass beaten up. So if you are uncomfortable or whatever with abuse I suggest you skip to 10:54.

The scene unpaused but Megatron just walks away with a huff.

Starscream whispering whilst pulling the screen down: Now that's a suprise. A good one of course. Primus really is shining down o-Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Megatron in fact did not leave and was just waiting for his fussion canon to charge. And skipping to 10:54 was actually correct.

I'm really disappointed nobody has had this idea no matter how much I try to find something like it

Thanks, I Hate It by Simple Creatures but it's about Starscream 's and Megatron's relationship (not romantically unless you view it as such) from Starscream's pov.

"Am I good enough for you" portrays that no matter how he acts, loyal, disloyal, submissive or resistant Megatron will always seek the opposite or still view it and therefore him as disgusting making him the perfect punching bag simply for Megatron's very own amusement. In every universe, with the main ones with this problem being armada and prime, he gets treated as somebody with potential by Megatron yet he also denies Starscream that growth.

"I don't owe you anything" is something that Starscream himself would only think in his anger towards Megatron but may have only truly processed those words as true after the war (in the versions he survives for a bit after, such as him in the Windblade comics). This reflects how he -and every other abuse victim- doesn't and shouldn't offer their abuser anything no matter how much your life is centred and controlled by them, they don't deserve you.

"But I gave you everything" shows the fact that Starscream sometimes and maybe in the beginning of everything did try so hard to please Megatron. But he didn't need to do all of that as it only buried the hole he was getting swallowed by even larger and more difficult to escape from.

"Watch you pile it up and sing - Thanks I hate it" summarises Megatron's mentality and actions when it comes down to Starscream. Megatron will rarely accept something he gives and when he does praise is rarely given which may mirror any abusive relationship (I view it as an abusive adopted Father and their dysfunctional son that becomes even worse with the abuse - though see it however you want).

"No you're never satisfied" is Megatron's constant berating and thirst of Starscream's agony.

"Now you wanna run and hide" resembles how in the many times Megatron has been redeemed he has never apologised to the person he influenced and corrupted the most. The exception of this was Earthspark but even then Megatron was warning everyone how Starscream is worse than he ever was. He showed care for the other decepticons well being yet was inconsiderate of Starscream's. He's too scared to face the truth of his actions or view it as important to his path to peace, therefore hiding himself from his second in command as if everything will be dropped and sorted out.

The point is- Starscream should be accountable for his actions only if Megatron will be as well and if we brush everything he's done then we should do the same for Starscream. Yet Megatron should still face him either way if he truly is a "good guy". Starscream deserves that closure even though he thinks that killing and taking his place will ease everything it wouldn't.

Headcanon time -and Megatron making an appearance

He's so frustrating I can't.

So I think that due to his spark being immortal/indestructible he has this natural fear of death. Even though he doesn't know he is immortal his body or even his mind(subconsciously or his spark) controls him when in some situations that could get him killed as he will still feel the pain of death but have to live through it over and over so it ,and in terms he, will do anything to escape that fate without realising why. And even though like "fear of death no shit" I feel like it's something that would suffocate him at the mere thought of it and he doesn't know why. Basically you get the fear and times it by a billion. This could explain why he acts so unlike himself in certain situations.

Like imagine him having full breakdowns cause he thought of ways he could die too much due to his paranoia and it physically and mentally burns as his spark will do *anything* to stop the possibility. Also could be seen as a defense mechanism, if they don't kill you how will they know they can do it again to hurt you more. Especially with Megatron cause I think he would be the reason it gets worse throughout the war as Starscream knows Megatron wants to hurt him not just kill him so when you take out the factor of death. Megatron can do whatever he wants. But Starscream isn't even aware of all this even though the affects of it are taking over his life.

The starscream brain rot be hitting hard. And I have another song idea that fits him which has turned into a character analysis as well.

'The Mind Electric' with the bits that goes

"Someone help me understand what's going on inside my mind" could be the change of Starscream's mentality due to the normalisation of his abuse and how he views it as -normal-. And if it's Skybound it could be whatever the hell Megatron did to force Starscream to kill the prisoners when he first joined.

"Doctor I can't tell if I'm not me" literally the post war Starscream being paranoid he's not the same person at all as he was before like a clone maybe and the fact that he can't form connections with anyone. And again in Skybound it's the gap between Ulchtar and Starscream.

"See how I laugh at you" resembles Starscream constant undermining of others to make him feel better due to his insecurities and also the fact that his whole life he was laughed at so he does it back similar to the "abuse cycle".

"No you'll never understand" right after that bit shows how nobody has been in his situation and nobody tried to understand or reach out to help him mentally without blaming him for it or even just completely brushing it off. Also highlights how nobody believes him when he tries to talk about the abuse (Hashtag did tho even said how she believes Megatron who she looked up to a bit ig hurt him, a complete 180 of what everyone else does and the fact that she is close to Megatron but isn't brushing it off says so much -nobody has mentioned this from what I've read which is weird cause it just shows how clear Starscream's PTSD is (also fuck Hasbro for taking it away from us)). Saying how he brought it upon himself and that he kept trying to usurp Megatron meant he deserved it. And again shows how he can't grow attachments cause nobody views him as a victim only a failure who deserves his punishment so they don't find reason behind his actions. Not trying to "understand" why he hurts people or in the songs case "laugh" at them because they don't see him as a product of abuse that needs to be cared for. Only a bot who's worse than Megatron ever was.

Whilst he's called unredeemable and will never get an apology.

Like it's all I see at the 'why not me?' bits. And at the end I see it as him being in bed(berth?) and hyperventilating in desperation but also throwing something at the walls in anger.

Thanks for the 250 likes. This is the little idea I've been having for a while. Skybound starscream my beloved they could never make me hate you (annoyed most definitely tho).

The words are inspired by the song below cause I thought it really fits this version of them.

First time drawing Megatron and I swear he's just ugly like that not because of my drawing. Anyway I'm trying to find references to continue more work but it's proving to be difficult.

Hopefully I'll find a way to turn this into a video or digital.
