After a month of absolutely wonderful Dadneto creations being shared across all different mediums, the House of Dadneto event has officially drawn to a close. It's been so much fun seeing the range of talent in this fandom, and we hope you've all enjoyed the event as much as we have! So as we compile the complete masterlist, join us for one last weekly recap while you wait!
In the final week, the House of Dadneto had 17 unique works posted for the event!! (It seems that everyone wanted to go out with bang! 🎉)

Post-X-Men Legends 2 — Pietro recovers from his ordeal. He felt Erik tense behind him, could feel his heartbeat speed up. “You…” Pietro couldn’t stop the tears welling up in his eyes. All these years of being so unsure of where he stood when it came to Magneto. Yet, here he was, holding his son close to his heart, fingers in Pietro’s hair, his chin resting on his head. Erik had changed, he realised, after facing yet another genocide in his life, and then almost losing his child. “You really love us, don’t you?” He managed to choke out.

There were pros and cons to staying at Charles’s school, Erik had discovered. For starters, there always seemed to be some kind of virus or cold going around, sick little kids running everywhere. It didn’t bother Erik too much but he did think they could do a little more to keep from getting sick and spreading their germs. On the plus side though, when his son inevitably caught whatever was going around that week, Erik got to be there for him and care for him the way a father should. Even when the thing going around is a stomach virus. - Peter catches the stomach virus going around the school and Erik takes care of his son.

Okay so maybe Erik had made a mistake somewhere in his life. The problem was, that he had made many more than just one mistake that had led him here. He could’ve simply not left Charles on the beach, for starters, he could’ve not sent a bullet into his spine. Luna can't sleep and Peter and Erik try to get her to do just that. They also find that even though he may be a grown-up, Peter still needs his dad (just like Luna needs hers).

Post-DOFP — Peter seeks out the Brotherhood to face Magneto. Magneto turned slowly, his piercing gaze assessing Peter with a critical intensity. Recognition flickered across his face, a faint furrow appearing between his brows. “...Peter?” Peter swallowed hard, his hands twisting nervously. He managed a hesitant nod, uncertain of what to say next in the presence of the man who had both terrified and fascinated him for so long. Magneto raised a single eyebrow, observing Peter with a mixture of curiosity and something akin to paternal concern. Not that Peter was delusional enough to actually think that's what it was. Nope. "You can relax," he said gently, his voice cutting through the tension in the room. "I do owe you a debt."

1) Wanda and Pietro Maximoff in the MCU were whitewashed. They’ve been Romani in the comics for the last 42 years. If you don’t understand the nuances of Romani culture vs. Romani ethnicity vs. Romani genetics, you can read my original post on it right here. Or, if you don’t trust me as a source, the Roma Culture Centre discusses it right here.
2) MCU Wanda and Pietro willingly work with HYDRA (the ACTUAL NAZIS), and allow HYDRA to run experiments on them both. The most famous Romani superheroes in comic book history join the ACTUAL NAZIS in the MCU.
(ETA: Yes, they joined HYDRA willingly. They volunteered. That’s according to Marvel’s own website, found right here. “Years later, they both volunteered to undergo genetic experimentation overseen by HYDRA’s Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, using Loki’s scepter, to potentially give them powers.”)
Why would they do this? Wanda’s brief tenure in HYDRA in the comics (Secret Empire run) only happened because she was possessed by the Elder God Chthon; she never joined them willingly. If you’re unfamiliar with the Romani Holocaust, you can read about it right here.
3) The MCU draws most of its inspiration from The Ultimates. Writer Jeph Loeb made Wanda and Pietro’s relationship incestuous in The Ultimates, and the MCU decided, for some bizarre reason, to make this part of the films. Elizabeth Olsen admitted in interviews that they intentionally hinted at incest between the twins in Avengers: Age of Ultron. If you’re unfamiliar with incest as a Romani stereotype, that’s awfully lucky for you, but you can read about it right here.
4) Elizabeth Olsen is also an unrepentant racist. On The Graham Norton Show, all the way back in 2015, she used the word “Gypsy” to describe Wanda and was corrected by the host. The actress has never apologized. (Mark Ruffalo was also on the show, and apologized on Twitter for repeating the slur after Olsen said it.) Olsen didn’t apologize because she wasn’t sorry; it wasn’t the first or last time she’d done it. Elizabeth Olsen keeps using slurs and stereotypes in interviews, as recently as last month. You know what would be so cool? If Tommy Shepherd, who unlike the comics, remembers his life as Tommy Maximoff, how heartbreaking would that be? You do everything to get your brother back and when he does come back he sees a version of you that you really are not anymore. With Tommy he recognizes his brother’s spirit but all those inside jokes and them being the only kids in Westview due to the hex. Tommy telling their memories but Billy doesn’t remember, so he feels kind of excluded.
