This is the greatest thing ever
trick or treat!!
(headcanons? for the coven maybe?)
(continuity- the fabled crack!fic)
Alice- the only morning person among a coven of night people. Really enjoys jogging, was very into death metal for a while as a rebellion against her mother, gets into making artisan beers and funky stained glass pieces after the Road. refused to let anyone help her magically move her mother's piano, which created a fairly amusing scene for the Proctors/John one Saturday afternoon as they attempted to get the thing in the house.
Lilia- the only motherfucker who can cook in this entire damn household (wanda is her most eagar apprentice). has considered hexing the kitchen to keep everyone else out. once did hex everyone involved when she walked in on unnamed individuals playing texas hold 'em with tarot cards from the 17th century. absolutely refuses to help agatha to short the stock market (again).
Jen- if she's going to be stuck with you people, you're at least not going to embarrass her; the coven wide skincare situation has never been more on point. brings billy with her to a couple of beauty/youtube cons, and he becomes a popular feature on her channel. does product testing on rio; the more rio enjoys it, the more toxic something is. senor scratchy oversees the process. sets up her lab upstairs in the former office "because not all of us lurk in basements like stereotypes, agatha."
Billy- living his absolute best life. frequently has the Kaplans over; he can't live with them anymore b/c of the insane amount of risk his physical person and the near constant presence of the scarlet witch and agatha thee harkness causes. he started a scoreboard in the living room, where he tallies up beings that come to the house looking to revenge/challenge- agatha's winning, but wanda's not far behind. everyone else is lumped into one category and losing badly. the kaplans are... adjusting. there is a lowkey conspiracy to teach rebecca witchcraft. he keeps eddie away for as long as possible, and then tries to introduce him to each of his new relatives one at a time. this does not go well.
Rio- is really only hanging out to see if she can drive wanda or agatha over the edge and into another killing spree. everything else is just her fucking around for her own amusement. does weird shit on purpose- eats raw meat and insects just to gross everyone else out. is not allowed unsupervised with the kaplans. built a complex terrarium set up for the tarantula, and frequently shape shifts to join him in there. the tarantula's name is typhon. the garden situation in the backyard has never been more lush and/or deadly. lilia and jen are never short on ingredients, but usually triple check to make sure what they're grabbing.
Wanda- has never been more understood in her entire life and is absolutely mystified. the first time she and jen get in an argument, and wanda accidentally breaks something- she freezes, expecting a wave of fear. jen just laughs and points, breaking a plate too with a swirl of rose gold sparkles. they spent the next ten minutes cheerfully breaking agatha's third best china until she busts them, and joins in too. no one particularly cares if wanda's too damaged, about how many people she's killed, if she can't control her powers, if she can't quite remember how to move like a human being. one way or another there's someone here who gets it- and that's the strangest part of all.
Agatha (all along)- unfortunately in charge here. couldn't give less of a shit about it. having to adjust to being around witches she's not actively trying to kill, while being her own weird ass self, not one of her personas. unclear what this strange feeling is in her chest (it's happiness- she's just never met it, so the sensation is alien). is the first to read whoever fucked up today into the ground. is also the first to kill anyone who looks at her coven sideways. experiencing the mortifying ordeal of being known and being very, very undignified about it. the rabbit continues to live like a tiny king. exploring other hobbies that aren't murder/plotting murder/scheming on how to plot a murder.
AVENGERS INFINITY WAR
I NEED someone to tell me what is the deal with witches and crowns in the mcu. In the comics I'm pretty sure they're there for just fashion, but, in the mcu most of the important witches have them and it makes me wonder what does it mean?
If a crown appears because a witch is really powerful then it would explain why witches such as: Wanda, Billy and Rio have them. The formers are capable of controlling chaos magic to warp reality to their whims, and Rio is literally death, the orginal green witch. However, if this was truly the case Agatha should already have a crown aswell. She's been alive for a long time and has had acess to the darkhold which overtime corrupts the user but also gives them the means to use powerful magic.
Another reason a crown manifests may be to signify mastery over one's ability to the point where they have complete control over their own magic as seen with witches like: Evanora (Agatha's Mother) and Rio. The former being alive for so long which gave her a lot of time to truly master her own magic, and once again Rio who is a living concept and the original green witch. But, if that truly were the case Wanda and Billy should not have gotten their crowns so soon and Lilia should have gotten one at the end of her trial. Until Agatha came along Wanda didn't even know she was using magic and after realising who she was meant to be did the crown fully appear. Billy's crown just fully manifested after he used magic to control Jen and Lilia to push them along with Agatha off the road, no mastery whatsoever. Meanwhile Lilia has been alive for a long time, has shown to have lots of knowledge about the way of witches and the way magic works. Her crown appearing like a construct of light like Wanda's did in Wandavision before it fully manifested would have amplified this theory.
One more theory I have is that crowns manifest for witches who are important to the mcu's timeline so Wanda, Billy, Rio and Evanora having crowns is justified. But again that leaves out Agatha who is arguably more important than Evanora in the mcu and Jen (although I'm not 100% sure) who was the first witch to survive the witches road and get her prize which was her powers returning to her. Maybe we'll see her in another mcu project and she'll have a crown with her new outfit but that's a big maybe.

Of course it came back after a, few weeks but I doubt batman or superman could come back like that
Wanda: Peter, c'mon, you gotta get up.
Teenage Peter in his rebellious phase: Afafuff... shmooboovoo.

Wanda: *yanks the blanket off of him*

Peter, stretching: Did you not read the study?
Wanda: I don't care about the study.
Peter:
Peter, deadpan: You are the very essence of evil.

Itâs right after the Maximoff family (Wanda, Vision, Evan Peters Pietro, Tommy, and Billy) have their big superhero showdown with Agatha Harkness and Mephisto, our main villain. Suddenly, everyone but Wanda starts disappearing due to the simulation being shut down. Just when you think Wanda is ready to let them go, she suddenly whispers, âStay.â
ThenâŠthe entire show just goes haywire. The entire MCU glitches out, leaving the audience wondering what the fuck is going on.
Cut to the Sanctum Sanctorum. Doctor Strange, who felt a disturbance in the multiverse, managed to hide away in a pocket dimension before Wandaâs epic, reality-changing moment. When he comes back to the MCU, he brings up the news to figure out what Wanda changed. His eyes then widen when he sees what Wanda did.
The MCU timeline is mostly the same. All the movies and TV shows are still canon as before. However, the universe has been modified to accommodate the mutants. All of a sudden, people are acting as if the mutants have existed in the MCU this whole time. Then, when Strange brings up news about Wanda, heâs shocked to see that not only are Pietro and Vision alive, itâs the Evan Peters version, not the original one. And not only that, she has kids, a new sister (hello, Polaris) and even brought her dad back to life (now played by either Sir Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender).Â
Wanda pulled a reverse âHouse of Mâ by literally rewriting reality to include the mutants, just so she could bring her family back to life.Â
The show ends with Strange freaking out over the fact that the entire MCU has been rewritten/retconned by Wanda and that heâs the ONLY ONE who still remembers how the universe was before.Â

A secret or a heartbreaking revelation? Wanda and Rocket have more in common than one would think.

During a watch party for Avengers: Endgame on Twitter, Markus revealed the idea to team Wanda with the Guardian of the Galaxy captain actually made it into several versions of the film's script. "We had whole drafts with Wanda on a road trip with Rocket," Markus wrote, "but after the Vision plot in Infinity War, nothing we came up with was anything but wheel spinning for her character." CBR
The city of Missoula spreads out underneath them like a lakeful of stars or a well of distant coins, glimmering in the night-velvet hug of the mountains. When the sun crests the horizon, they'll make their way through Idaho and onto the last little part of their journey â but for now, Wanda leans against the open window of the bed-and-breakfast where theyâve holed up for the night and lets the Montana breeze kiss the ends of her hair. She closes her lashes, and for a moment, she can almost imagine itâs Vis, leafing through her crimson locks with gentle, marveling hands.Â
Youâre only gonna become someoneâs nightmare.
Well, she thinks savagely â sheâs always been someoneâs nightmare. They hadnât decided to call her a witch for no reason. Made by circumstance and bastardized science â layers of folded power. Sure, people fear Danvers for her strength, too â but Danvers has blond hair and an impulsive, crooked smile. For some reason, blond hair and an easy smile always seem to set the rest of the Avengers at ease, as if itâs skin and hair color that make a person good.Â
Wanda â with her dark eyes lit from within and her hellish tendrils of magic â stands no chance when compared to a woman who radiates iridescent power like something avenging and divine. No â the Scarlet Witch is made of nightmares, and she has been since long before Hydra. The only ones who have looked at her with anything other than trepidation or terror or disdain were her adopted parents, and Pietro, and Vis.
And now, perhaps Rocket.Â
Yes, sheâd made the captain of the Guardians of the Galaxy nervous â she can tell. But that was a fear sheâd earned â a result of her less-than-noble confession. If Rocket had been anxious in that last hour on the road, it hadnât been because of who she is.Â
Or what she is.Â
She sighs, and leans out into the breeze.
âDonât go making any magic cities out there, now.â
She half-turns, casting a look over her shoulder. Heâs sauntering up beside her, scrabbling up onto the desk chair next to the window to peer out over the sweep of the midnight city, studding the valley like a jewelry-box full of diamond strands. From this angle, she can see the lights catching and flickering in his eyeshine, turning them into flat red coins and then back again. She feels one brow arch.
âWeâre making jokes about it now?â
He shrugs, peering down into the spangled mountainside. âWhatâs the alternative?â A sideways smirk. âI blow you up?â
She snorts. âYou could try.â
His grin widens.Â
Well, his fear has apparently been short-lived. Something about that feels like a quiet reassurance â a flicker of candleflame in the winter solstice of her life.
âYouâre not worried about me turning myself into a monster?â she asks anyway. Sheâs trying to make it sound light, but the words are laced with bitterness and salt.
He shrugs. âNot yet.â He raises his own brow and slants her a calculated glance. âHopefully not ever.â
She keeps her eyes on the city, unwilling to spare him her own stare.Â
âWhereâd you, uh, get your powers anyway?â he asks after a moment. The words ripple in the cool night air. âLab or infinity stone?â
She huffs a soft, almost-laugh. âHow do you know I wasnât born with them?â
âWhat, like Dazzler?â he asks doubtfully.Â
She tears her eyes from the valley now, brow creased. âYou know Dazzler?âÂ
He shrugs. âSure. She sings, doesnât she? Wouldnât mind getting some of her stuff on the zune, actually.â
An incredulous chuckle bursts in the back of her throat like a ripe cherry. âNot like Dazzler,â she concedes. âDazzler has a genetic conditionââ
âThat makes her cool as hell,â Rocket supplements, and Wanda offers an acquiescing half-shrug laced up with a half-smile.
âThat makes her cool as hell,â she concedes. âI was born with â something else. And then, I thinkââ she pauses, feeling the crease form between her brow. âWell. Whatever it was, it was enhanced, I guess.â
âLab then,â Rocket says, and sighs. âHow come so many of you Terran-types can walk into labs and say, hey, fuck me up, with no frickinâ regard to your own lives and bodies? And then you come out with cool powers and super-strength and shit?â He scowls down at the city and his next words are so low under his breath that she almost doesnât hear them. âNeed a t-shirt that says, all I got was chronic pain and indigestion.â
She could leave it. Pretend she hadnât heard him, which is probably what heâd intended. But for whatever reason, his sarcasm always seems to pull out these bite-sized heart-to-hearts from her. âAnxiety and depression.â
He blinks up at her, nonplussed. âWhat?â
âMy t-shirt. I got experimented on! And all I got was anxiety and depression.â
He holds her eyes, his own rounding out, then flicking away. âYeah, well. You say yaro root, I say yaro fruit.â
She lets the moment slide through her fingers, lingering and bittersweet over the star-spattered valley. âBesides,â she says, and sheâs surprised to hear a thread of humor weaving together her own words, âIâm special. I was made by an infinity stone and in a lab.â She feels the corner of her mouth twist. She hadnât been going to admit it, but why not? Who else would she ever tell, now that Vis is gone? âLabs, actually. I think.â
His ears flicker. âPlural? Wait, howâd that happen?â
The twist turns into a quiet smirk. When was the last time sheâd smirked? âWhich one?â
He furrows his brow. âThe first. No, the most recent. Both.â
She braces her forearms on the window sill and leans out further, letting the wind whisk her words away: keeping them as short-lived as a luna moth. Maybe shorter. Thereâs safety in the brevity of the words, in how transparent and transitory they seem when theyâre caught up and spiraled in the shadowed mountain-breeze.Â
âI remember the second one best. I was older, and â foolish. And fixated on revenge for the loss of my parents.â She gives him a sideways look. âThe horrors of the universe, you know. Pietro and I had been orphaned and adopted, only to be orphaned again. I joined a â well, I joined the bad guys, I guess, and I let them experiment on me with the mind stone. It was before anyone really knew what the mind stone was. At the time, I thought it gave me my powers, but nowâŠâ She hesitates.
Rocket stares at her, then scowls. âI meant what I said earlier. What is with you morons walkinâ into labs like that? Sure, I donât know what this glowing rock is. Hit me with it,â Â he mimicks â but thereâs something half-shrill underneath his voice, clenched into the back of his teeth. She wonders if itâs concern, just a decade or two too late. âYou know, I kinda liked Banner at first. He seemed like a genius-idiot, and â you knowââ He holds up two fingers, a scant half-inch apart. ââtiny little temper problem. Kinda like me. But he did that to himself?â Rocket clicks his tongue against his teeth. âThought I liked Steve too, but he just walked into a situation with strangers and said, yeah, gimme this highly-experimental drug and letâs see what frickinâ happens.â He shakes his head. âYou morons are reckless. And ungrateful.â
She hums. And she doesnât deny it.Â
âBut now, what?â
She blinks and casts him a questioning glance.Â
âYou said, you thought the stone gave you your powers. But now. But now what?â
She grimaces, dark-cherry brows furrowed. Not a thing slips past him, apparently. âI donât know,â she admits. âMaybe it was just a dream. Butââ
She hesitates, and he waits â surprisingly patient.
She takes a breath. She can already tell the words are going to hollow her out. She tries to say his name so little, because it guts her every time, and because so few of the Avengers seem to want to hear it.
And she has no-one else to listen.
âVis never had a childhood,â she says at last. âNot a bad one or a good one â just none at all. The idea of it â all the complexities of physical development combined with cognition and learning and vulnerability â it meant so much to him. He thought it was beautiful, and strange. One of the great mysteries of the universe, he said.â The last few words are strangled. Sheâd opened her mouth and said his name, and it had floated up out of her like a butterfly tethered to ghostly memories sheâd tried to keep down. Ribbons and bows in the tail of a haunted kite. Each word starts to drift up and out of her and she just knows, if she doesnât choke them back, theyâll keep rising. And while sheâs happy to sacrifice the words of her own past to the nightsky, every bit of Vis is too precious and rare to let them slip away into midnight mountain breezes.
âHeâd always ask about mine,â she finishes abruptly, shrugging. The words quietly click the whole story closed. âThe more he asked, the more I think I remembered.âÂ
Of course, Rocket doesnât let anything rest, sheâs learning. Not unless it suits him. He squints one gleaming red eye up at her.Â
âWhatâd you remember?â
She looks out on the sea of tiny lights, like fireflies and gemstones and stars. Over seventy-three thousand little lives, all cradled in the palms of a single mountain range on an unremarkable little planet the midst of a galaxy and universe far wider than she can ever really know.
âI think it was another lab,â she says quietly. âOne in the mountains. Not like these mountains â more severe. Cliffs and crags. It feltâŠ.haunted.â She takes a steadying breath. âI think there was a man â cold. Casually cruel. He would be silhouetted against these vaulted glass windows overlooking a sheer drop, staring down at me and Pietro. I could feel his disdain â even as a child.â She hesitates. âSometimes he would hold my head in his hands and stare into my eyes like he was trying to see into my brain. I remember having nightmares after we were adopted. I would dream that he carved into my skull while I was sleeping, to try to find where I kept it.â She shivers. âThe magic.â
She can feel Rocket shuttering closed next to her, and she supposes sheâs already said too much. Made things uncomfortable between them â been too vulnerable. These intimate little exchanges are never supposed to last more than a handful of sentences, but here she is: spilling them out onto Missoula, as personal and quiet as if she were on a midnight walk with Vis, or curled up beside Pietro in their dark orphanage bed.
But then Rocket sighs beside her, and even in her periphery, she can see his stiff shoulders loosen. He wedges his own forearms against the sill, mimicking her posture as he leans out over Missoula too. She turns her head slowly to look at him, and the breeze that has been playing with her hair now ruffles his fur, too.
âI knew a guy like that once,â he says roughly. âI knew a guy â too much like that.â
She inhales, more slowly than she has since long before sheâd ever heard of Thanos. She thinks she can remember the last time she took in air like this: the morning before the Black Order had found them in the streets. Sheâd stretched against the faded sheets of the bed sheâd shared with Vis, and everything had come easy â even her breath.Â
She exhales â just as slow.
âI donât trust my memory,â she admits. âI was a child. Maybe I made it all up.â
Rocket grunts. âDonât sound like something little humie gargoyles just make up.â
She huffs a laugh. âMaybe not, but my adult-mind says he canât possibly be real,â she tells him quietly. âMy memories make him into too much of a⊠a ghost story. Too much of a legend, or a monster under the bed. A caricature of what he probably really was.â
Rocket doesnât look at her, but she can see him raise his eyebrow doubtfully. âProbâly we all do that with the things that fucked us up when we were kids,â he concedes grudgingly, and she shifts uncomfortably. How to make Rocket understand? The imposing figure, so severe â the words, so cultured and sophisticated â the surrealism of the mountain, snowy and mist-shrouded, stabbing the sky? Itâs too fantastical to be real. Sheâd told Rocket her secret, perhaps ill-advised dream of a town based on the old TV shows sheâd seen her childhood; how can she explain how these shadows of her childhood seem like the other side of the coin? She thinks of the man again, and all she can picture is a caricature of a cartoon villain.
âIn my memory, I think he always wore all purple,â she explains. Like a uniform. Wanda shakes her head, frustrated. Itâs not clear enough. She inhales again, slow and steady. She exhales again â just as measured. When she speaks, her voice is hushed, and she canât keep that old childhood terror from seeping in at the edges. âIn my memory, I think he came back one day without a face.â
scarlet witch was one of the high evolutionaryâs subjects in the citadel of science at mount wundagore pass it on. look this is a fluffpiece so will anything come of this? not beyond a lil bit of emotional bonding. maybe volume three would play out a bit differently but we're not going that far. still, i couldn't bear to leave this bit in the comics âĄâĄ

posted a new fic in my âbetween good and badâ series!! its about 7000 words and takes place three months after the final chapter of âbetween real and fakeâ.
rated teen and up for swearing
Long ahh summary:
âNo.â Tony sighed but didnât relent. It wasnât safe for Peter to skip meals, not only due to his metabolism but also his already minimized diet. âYes. It must hurt to be running on practically nothing all day.â âNo!â Peter shouted, immediately halting all conversation. Everyone stared at the duo, which definitely wouldnât help Peterâs eating. âYou need to eat something. At least eat your watermelon and some pretzels.â Peter picked up the watermelon slice, and Tony almost thought he somehow won the conversation, but Peter chucked it at the manâs forehead. âFuck you.â The collective gasp could probably be heard all the way up in Maine.

OR: Peter isn't adjusting well to some aspects of his new life. Namely eating consistently. He lashes out. (You will not understand this fic without reading the parent fic of this series.)
Between Real and Fake by nevergracie
HYDRA Peter Parker fic. Basically, Peter is sent to the same Sokovia base as Wanda and Pietro. No romantic relationships except mentioned or minor. Sibling relationship with Peter, Wanda, and Pietro. Chapter lengths average to about 2400 words a chapter. 11 chapters. Complete. Can be read as a stand-alone but is the main fic in a series im currently updating. Parental Clint Barton and parental Tony Stark. (but tony stark only at the end) Takes place during Age of Ultron. Also my first ever fic posted and it kind of gets better as it goes on I think.
