Have you considered JayBartTimKon polycule?
Bart being loved by everyone
I would like to see it
OMA Okay, so, YES! I have! I’m a fruitful believer in TimKonBart, but after building the foundation of JayBart, it’s been on my mind non-stop. Starring: Kon being the hotheaded-himbo™, Tim as the Idiot with brains, Jay as the Classy Motherfucker, and Bart as the glue that they literally all depend on and will fight(kill in one case) anyone for. Bart is totally oblivious to his role.
How their polycule works in my mind are like so 💕 (Side note: a Polycule is a network of people connected in a large scale relationship, but not all persons are connected the same way for those that don’t know)
All three Jason, Kon, and Tim have a current romantic relationship with Bart. Kon and Tim are primary partners to each other, with Bart occasionally joining their group. Jason and Kon are more distant; their standpoints vary on each other depending on mood and day. Tim and Jay are brothers, adoptive or not, so there's no relationship other than platonic; I don’t ship any batcest.
Some common occurrences with these roles:
Bart, casually suggesting to Tim and Jay, on separate occasions, that they should work things out and the story is a lot deeper than it may seem. Jay gets pouty about it for a week, and Tim puts it off until he can’t stop thinking about what Bart said until surprisingly, Jay calls him first. The moral of the story, they all take Barts's opinion of them VERY. SERIOUSLY. When it happened after a week, he figured he had nothing to do with it since it was muuuch longer to his perception of time.
Kon and Tim get into another argument because Kon’s being stubborn™, and Tim is also stubborn. So as Bart does, he becomes stubborn about people getting along. He approaches Tim first, giving Kon time to cool off and him an opportunity to catch Tim off guard while he’s sleep-deprived. He talks in his usual upbeat way, asking questions on top of questions faster than Tim can answer so Tim tries answering everything, not even able to process their questions about the argument that just occurred. After he’s satisfied he goes to Kon, knocking on his door politely (something he didn’t do with Tim) and when he’s invited in, he lays out Tim’s side of the story in a much more emotionally heartfelt way that Tim usually isn’t able to put into words. He then leaves and lets them apologize to each other.
The first time Bart dies, and then closely after with Kon’s death, with Tim going through his phase into Red Robin, Jay actually COMFORTS him. For the first time. When Bart did come back, he saw that they got much closer and Jay’s excuse was “You fucking DIED. Never do that again.” and they cry. (Too Bad Bart dies four more times after that)...
I have sooo many ideas on this but I hope you’re satisfied! ❤😊
No thoughts. Only adult Bart.
Plz- his E Y E S. He’s so pretty??? Gorgeous boy. Best Boy. Reckless? Yes. Smart? Also yes. A little violent? Always. Love him so much 🥺
Rant ahead: Bart and the Rogues Gallery.
Why is it that every speedster has some sort of relationship with the rogues except for the one that it actually would make sense if he had one. Are you seriously telling me Bart Henry Allen-Thawne II has NO correlation to them at ALL, but Wally and Barry do???
I get Barry ‘believes’ in them or whatever, but that doesn’t mean they’re automatic buddies. He has major trust issues and doesn’t even like turning his back around them!
And Wally? Wally has this weird thing against villains, no matter how small the crime. I mean, he broke up a friendship that he had for YEARS with Hartley Rathaway because Pied Piper went off book for a mission that was for A GOOD CAUSE.
Bart Allen’s half brother Owen is in the rogues. His twin clone is in the rogues. Digger knew his mother, and I’m sure he’d want to know more about her. He’s an outcasted flashfam member that needs a home because every family he’s been put into disappeared or died. First Max and then Jay, then the Titans disbanded. He doesn’t belong to any timeline, never met his father, abandoned by his mother so he wouldn’t be kidnapped by science cops, sent by his own evil Grandpa! That sounds like just about any other rogue sob story. And yet he has no connection to them. AT ALL. Which is just… Mind boggling!
And the one issue he gets with them, the rogues KILL him?? Which is totally out of character for them because one of their main rules is NO KILLING FLASHES. With time and character development, I’m sure Thad will come around and Bart will give him a chance, no matter how skeptical he is, because it’s what Max wanted for them and that was Bart’s goddamn dad, so help me! And Bart really doesn’t mind the whole villain thing either; he’s held casual conversation with the JOKER. Are you kidding me??
Do y’all understand how upsetting this is, or am I the only one???
@tardigradetheking I got you 😌
In Impulse, Issue #50 “First Fools”, Bart helps Batman on a Joker hostage case while trying to prank Robin on his first ever April Fools day.
Impulse, Issue #48 “when is a Riddle not a riddle”, Bart Allen has to save his mentor Max after being kidnapped by the riddler, who hid bombs around the city revealed only with riddles— too bad Riddler didn’t know Bart doesn’t follow the rules.
Teen Titans, #2 (2003), Bart got shot by A Jericho possessed Deathstroke, facing him off after multiple random attacks and when he first dawns the title “kid Flash”
Deathstroke #40, Impulse works with Deathstroke and multiple other heroes and anti heroes to defeat a common enemy.
In the Series Titans of Tomorrow, Bart Allen and Rose Wilson are in a steady relationship, that I still love to this day.
In Red Robin #12, Tim teams up with Bart and asks him to save Selina Kyle, The Catwoman, from League of Assassin soldiers that snuck into her house while she was asleep.
And this one isn’t with a Gotham Rogue, but it’s funny and relevant. In Young Justice #10 (1998), Bart hits his head so hard that for almost the entire comic, he believes he’s Batman!
Batman has a secret interrogation method specifically for Joker and Riddler and it’s called “Bart”. It’s super effective.
Zuko to Azula, if the show let him swear.
Happy 2018 bitches!!! (Foreign places always get the good shit)
Bart Allen: Okay, this is it. I'm battling a Evil supervillain trying to kill me and probably my worstest enemy.
Bart's mind: Make casual conversation and playful banter the entire time.
Bart:
Bart: Let's do it.
Note for the DC fandom: Bart isn’t Wally’s protége (or Barry’s, for that matter). He always worked with Max Mercury, or Jay Garrick, if Max is unavailable.
I see this happen a lot in YJ98 fanart, where the Core 4 is shown with their mentors, and it bugs me. Barry was kinda dead during the 90’s, and Wally really only worked with Bart when the situation called for it, they didn’t hang out much (neither are mature enough to deal with each other for extended periods of time).
Smaller gripe, but Kon also didn’t spend a ton of time with Clark. That’s mostly because Superman has this long track record of accidentally being a terrible father. It’s more of a gripe than anything, as Kon usually trained under Psimon or the Guardian (as he doesn’t really have Kryptonian powers, just tactile telekinesis).
HAWAIIAN SHIRT BUDDIES!
